Current date in date range formula

I have a report where I only want to see records if the current date is between 2 dates on the report ( {@ Eff From} and {@Eff To} )
I will try to show example below:
Part A - Eff From 06-04-2007   Eff To 12-31-2020
Part B - Eff From 06-04-2007   Eff To 09-30-2008
Part C - Eff From 10-01-2008   Eff To 12-31-2008
In this example, I would only see Part A and Part B because currentdate is between the 2 dates.
Once currentdate is 10-1-2008, I would only see Part A and Part C.
Any suggestions?

there is a fuction called currentdate
in the record selection you can use
if currentdate>= {@ Eff From} and currendate<={@Eff To} )
then true
you could also create parameters which will allow the user to select the dates.

Definition of Reference Data in complex Fox Formulas

Hello IP Experts / Gurus / Developers,
As far as I know there is no real concept behind the determination of Reference Data in Integrated Planning, when you do run functions from a sequence and not directly on a Dataprovider (where you have the possiblity to define editable and not editable structure elements).
The reference data is generated at runtime of the FOX Code. Using Complex FOX Code with a nested loop, the reference data in the planning buffer (seen in Planning Modeller) isnt really the data that it should be. Some read statements (in loops, but also outside the loops) are not recognized and obviously do not lead to the definition of Reference Data. This is not a specific problem of my function or architecture. It doesnt occur, when I reduce the complexity of the FOX Code to a few rows.
The question that I have is: Is there any possibility to define reference data in a fox statement or before running it?
Function modules, hidden statements etc. ?
Maybe a trick with running a loop like the one below (doesnt work, it also leads to immense performance issues)
FOREACH YEAR, CCODE IN SELECTION.
VALUE = {0amount, YEAR, CCODE).
EXIT.
ENDFOR.

A: Definition of Reference Data in complex Fox Formulas

Hi Michael,
I don't think I understand from your post what is the issue that you are trying to solve; but it would not be correct to say that there is 'no real concept' behind determination of reference data.
Reference data is the data a planning function needs to read, which is outside the selection of the filter under which the function is currently running. So for the same function, reference data can change when running under different filters. Reference data can only be read, not modified - I am sure that is already clear. And also, the selection corresponding to reference data is not locked by planning.
Whenever you put any selection (inside the curly braces - {}) on the right hand side of the equal sign (talking about Fox), and if this selection is not contained in the filter, this data will be read as reference data. Also, statement like FOREACH in REFDATA will read reference data. Regarding the amount of data that is read (and hence the performance impact), it depends on factors like master data (for eg, in the Foreach statement in your code, it must be slow becuase of the huge master data that CCODE might be having), and number of records in cube, that are being read. You cannot really "define" reference data using code - it will be determined at run-time.

Data between Date Range with Business Days only

Hi All,
We have a requirement that we need to retrieve data between a data range, providing From date and To date as input.
We also have the option to Include Business Days Only through a check box which will be passed to CR 2008 through a report frame work.
Can some one help me how to display the report data within the Date Range entered and that includes only Business Days.

Messed up again! Help to display current day and date ...

Sorry guys and gals, I messed up again due to my noobidity, but you know the two most abundant things in the universe, are hydrogen ..... and noobidity!.
I have this page http://www.poffertjes.ch/index.html that nicely states the current day and date and it also works on all subsequent pages.
I needed a new page and figured I could just copy the code to the same position on this page: http://ppbm5.com/submission.html but behold, it just is not displayed at all.
I have been going over the code many times, but I can't figure out why the current date is not displayed at all. Can someone please show me what I did wrong?

Keyboard shortcuts: current day and date, and current time?

I would like to know keyboard shortcuts for entering current day and date, and current time (separated entries) in Numbers. Something that Excel does easily. Thank you, Ian

Numbers does not have predefined key command for Insert Date & Time as you can see from this screenshot:
All menus show the key commands on the very right (if there is a ke command). You can add you own, custom, key commands by opening system preferences and selecting the Keyboard panel, then the "Keyboard Shortcuts" segment:
Click the "+" then a modal dialog will appear. Select the application from the pop, then enter the exact name if the menu item, and, finally, your desired key combination:
You can do this for any application

I have Microsoft Office 2004 on my MacBook (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo). It is currently up to date with Microsoft updates. I am running Mac OS 10.6.8. I just updated my Mac software with "Security Update 2012-001". I am now unable to print (Epson NX510 printer) from Excel or Word. When I click on the Print menu item in Excel, there is a flash in the background like it is trying to open the print window, but nothing else. I am able to print from other programs like TextEdit, Mail or KakeidaGraph. As far as I know I have the latest Epson print driver.
Also, I am also unable to open an existing Excel or Word file from the open menu - both programs lock up and do not respond. I have to force quit. After I restart Excel or Word I can open an existing file by double clicking on the file, but if I again try to open another file from the open menu, Excel or Word lock up.
Any similar problems?

Apparently some are reporting that this causes the older PowerPC (PPC) applications that are supported in 10.6 via 'Rosetta' to crash upon attempting to open/save/print using any dialog box, or fail in other similar ways such as simply not printing or quitting, or freezing/hanging/crashing of the application.
I have read of some companies that have indeed submitted proper bug reports to Apple, but that is not a guarantee of a bug-fix being issued.

If you are unsure if you are still using PowerPC apps, if the application is currently running, look under the 'Activity Monitior' (in Applications -> Utilities), or alternatively you could check in the System Profiler, Applications. Check the column "Type".
Here is a fairly simple way you can restore you system and restore you applications functionality again, if you don't have a recent clone or good Time Machine backup that you can restore from. If you do, restore from your backup prior to having installed the Security Update 2012-001.

If you are restoring a backup made by a Mac to the same Mac
With your backup drive connected, start up your Mac from the Lion recovery partition (Command-R at startup) or Mac OS X v10.6 installation disc. Then use the "Restore From Time Machine Backup" utility. Select the backup prior to your issues, and it will be restored back to the state it was in at that time.
If you can't easily restore from a backup, you can instead do the following:
- You first start by reinstalling your OS X 10.6.x, this will preserve all your user data, your applications, no worries there.
- Then install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 (links provided below)
- Make sure you're printers are showing up correctly in your system preferences, if not, re-add the printers
- Then finally, run the Apple Software Update (by pulling down the Apple Menu), and install any and all remaining updates, except do not then re-install the Security Update 2012-001. It is possible that you may have to reboot after installing some of the updates, and you may even need to run it a 2nd time to make sure that you've got all updates, except NOT the Security Update 2012-001.

Every month i need to find the list of .rar files from the
E:/TempBackup directory from the different environments (remote desktop servers) and i need to delete the current month
.rar files alone from the respective (E:/TempBackup) directory. below is example files structure inside the
E:/TempBackup.
example:
zDROP_2014_08_31_Backups.rar
zDROP_2014_09_31_Backups.rar
zDROP_2014_10_31_Backups.rar
from the above list i need to delete the zDROP_2014_08_31_Backups.rar(current month) file alone and also logs should be capture for this deletion.
key words for this are zDROP and Current month and date.
i need a stored procedure for this concept. could you please help on this.

Printing current time and date on a pdf document

I wish for a pdf document to print the current time and date in the same place at the foot of each page, to the following format:
Aug 04 2009, 5:11 pm.
How do I do this please? Annoyingly I have managed it in the past, but when I open up my old documents and paste the relevant field into my new document, it either prints the old date/time or else prints the present date/time, but then doesn't refresh the next time I try to print - ie it stays at one date/time.
I'd like to start again from scratch so that I have a better idea of how it works!!

I now have the answer, and hopefully this will help anybody else with a similar problem.
In Acrobat:
Create a text field and place it in the chosen place on the pdf form. Label it "datebox" in the General tab of Text Field Properties, and apply your character styles in the Appearance tab.
Under the "Advanced" menu, go to "Document Processing" and then "Set Document Actions"
Click on "Document Will Print" and then hit the "Edit" button. In the "JavaScript Editor" paste the following:
var myfield=getField("datebox");
var date=new Date();
date=util.printd("mmm dd yyyy, h:MM tt", date);
myfield.value=date;
Hit OK.
You have now given the instruction that whenever you print, the field named "datebox" will print the current time and date in the following format:
Aug 05 2009, 9.37 am

Is there any way or function module to find if a given day is falling between a date range.For example if I give 20.02.2007 as input and 01.02.2007 as start date and 28.02.2007 as end date. It should return yes. At the same time if i give 01.01.2007 & 31.01.2007 as start & end it should return no.

"Move Current Track Automation Data to Region" doesn't work for all

I have been using the 'Move Current Track Automation Data to Region' and while it works fine for some types of automation data like channel volume, pan and some plugin parameters, it doesn't work for all of them.
I haven't done exhaustive research into which parameters work and which don't, but most of the parameters for individual voices within Ultrabeat don't - which is annoying as that is what I was trying to use it for.
Any ideas about this, or workarounds?

OK, well an update on this in case anyone's interested.
With some further experimentation I have discovered that this problem did not exist in Logic 7 - ie you can move current track automation data for individual Ultrabeat voices to the region.
It's also possible to move automation data for individual Ultrabeat voices using 'Move All Track Automation Data to Region,' so I suppose this is a kind of workaround, though it can be annoying if you don't want to move all track automation data.
I'm now assuming this is a bug in Logic 8; is there any way to convert a Logic 8 project to work in Logic 7, as this along with the touch tracks bug is making working in Logic 8 very frustrating?

When I open numbers, my spreadsheet appears blank. yet, when I moveacrossa row, data appears in the formula bar. How can I fix it so I can see the sheet?

I had the same issue for several days (and several reboots). During that time I found I could print the spread sheet as a pdf, though I couldn't see it except cell by cell.
Suddenly the problem disappeared. I never did know why the problem appeared nor why it disappeared.
In the interim I ran the disk utility several times and repaired permissions twice. That may have helped, but I don't know.

Hi Falk,
It is usually best to have a sequence number for the primary key on a table. If you need to restrict other fields to be unique, then you can create a constraint to do this.
To create a sequence number and apply this to a new record, you need to do two things:
Let us say that you have a table called TABLEX and this has a numeric primary key field of ID. Do the following in the SQL Commands window
1 - Create a sequence SQL object:
CREATE SEQUENCE "TABLEX_ID_SEQ" MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 99999999999999999999999 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 NOCACHE NOORDER NOCYCLE2 - Create a trigger:

ALTER TRIGGER "TABLEX_BI" ENABLEWhen this is done, you then have "An existing trigger" that you can use for your tabular form. When a new record is created, the trigger is run and this checks for a value in the ID field. If this is NULL, then the next value in the sequence is assigned to it.
Primary Keys can be based on other values. You can use any value from the current record - for example, if you need to get the value from the XXX field, you just reference :NEW.XXX You can use this to pass into a function that returns your new primary key value. But I would recommend keeping to one field for your primary key as this makes things a lot simpler later on.

How to design extractor can have only current Fiscal Year data.

Dear Experts,
I require a full upload DSO , which can have only current fiscal year data . I have created view putting there certain conditions for minimising the data size. How i can restrict it , to have only current fisacal year data for YTD reports. It would be daily uploaded.

while extracting the data from source you can set the filters at the info package level so that it will not extract the previous years data.
In the data selection tab in Info package enter the current fiscal year and schedule the IP it will extract only the current year data.
next execute the DTP to load data till DSO.
the data is restricted in the infopackage level before entering to PSA so there is no need to write any routines in the DSO level.

SM04 uses a kernel call to get the active user data, not table is involved:
Get the list of logged on users
CALL 'ThUsrInfo' ID 'OPCODE' FIELD OPCODE
ID 'TAB' FIELD USR_TABL-SYS.
