Custom catalog messages from java
Hi all,
I have a question concerning cstomcatalog messages.
I would like my java application to return a text from the catalog.
I used the key and returned it in a string but it doesn't get translated to the correct value.
Any ideas?
Kevin
I found it myself (again)
You can use the Catalog.format method
Important: You need to have a session loaded before this works.

Send short message from Java application on mobile phone to server; http
Hello!
My question is: can I send short message from Java application on mobile phone to server - with the use of SMS (WMA) or http connection?
I found this topic http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5405431 about: "how to send data from midlet to servlet using doPost method".
There is also such topic http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5408046&tstart=0 about: "CLDC and MIDP - sending SMS to server -> Wireless Messaging API (WMA)".
Please, kindly help me.
Code from the topic mentioned above, edited by me so that it can be read easily:

I want to know how to pass the values .
for examples : this is what i wrote for doGet
String url = setting.getUrl().toString()"/testProServlet/servlet/UpdateCompanyProfile?userId="+loggedInUserId"&svComp="saveCompHex;
userId and svComp has the data which is very long so i wanted to use doPost.
Now i dont know how to do it.
This is what i have done in doGet (midlet)
public void saveCompanyProfile(String saveComp,int flag,String blankFieldNm)
System.out.println("flag===" flag);
if (flag==1)
displayAlert("Company Profile Edit",blankFieldNm+" field cannot be blank.",AlertType.ERROR, edCmpRecForm, true);
else
String saveCompHex = helper.encodeHexString(saveComp);

// Setup HTTP Request
httpConn.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.POST);
httpConn.setRequestProperty("User-Agent","Profile/MIDP-1.0 Confirguration/CLDC-1.0");

os = httpConn.openOutputStream();
is = httpConn.openDataInputStream();
int chr;
while ((chr = is.read()) != -1)

SMS API(WMA) is an optional package. It is not a MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0 api's.
There are phones which has WMA api with MIDP1.0 support .... Nokia 3650
Seimens has some phone with their own api's to send sms.Check out seimens site for more info
BTW, What do you mean buy sending SMS to Server????
If you want to send message to server you can do it with Http.

Hello,
I'm trying to send an ADT message from Java using the JMS API.
However, when compiling the java program it complains on the
following statement :
adt_msg.setAdtPayload(empmsg) ;
because it is expecting empmsg to implement the deprecated
CustomDatum interface instead of the ORAData interface.
I suspect the problem is linked with the version of the
AQAPI.jar file I'm using. I tried already the file that comes
with the Linux version and the one with the W2000 version but
both give the same problem.
Any suggestions ????
tx,
Roger.Hi,
The AQ JMS api in 9.0.1 still expects CustomDatum payloads. When
you generate the java class using Jpublisher, use the following
flag:
-compatible=customdatum
In 9.0.2 and iASv2, the AQ JMS api will support the OraData
interface as well. I think if you can get the 9.0.1.2 patch,
that also might work

Capturing Custom Error Messages from Database Triggers
Hi Everybody
When i fired a trigger it should show only the custom message from RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR
instead of showing all the message....
ORA-20103: We Cannot Delete the emp_id 5610
ORA-06512: at "emp_id", line 89
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'delete_emp_id.trg'I want to show only the custom message
We Cannot Delete the emp_id 5610Thanks in AdvanceNot possible AFAIK.
Instead of RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR, define a custom exception, call it and just print it onto the console (using dbms_output). You can't pop it out though. -

Subscribe OJMS Message from Java Client ??
Hi
I am using Oracle 9iAS (9.0.3) with OJMS as JMS Resource Provider. I could able to publish the messages and MDB's will be able to subscribes the messages.
How to subscribe the above message from External Java Client.
Can anybody will provide some sample code.
Thanks in Advance
MadhuThe problem here is how to register JMS destination (topic or queue) in JNDI and then to obtain the initial context where they can be looked up. Then the business is the same for an External Java Client as the code that runs in JSP.
To do it, you may see the code examples in
http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/jms/index.html
The second example, "JMS1.1 Domain Unification Sample" which is for 10g, does work for me. I did not try the first example, "JMS Sample Application", which is for oc4j 9.0.2 or higher. -
Capturing custom error message from alert category
We are using XSLT mapping and We are raising custom error message based upon some conditions i.e if vendor number is invalid or blank.If it doesn't meet the requirement,mapping will fail and it will throw error message as" IDoc XXXXXXXXX is having invalid vendor number".
My question is,we would like to send this custom error message to email receipients through RWB-AFW.
How do we capture this custom error message is alert category or alert rule?You can not unless u use BPM.

Custom fault message from OSB is not throw in BPEL
Hi,
I have created a custom fault error in OSB which is sent to BPEL.
<env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<env:Header/>
<env:Body>
<env:Fault>
</env:Fault>
</env:Body>
</env:Envelope>
If my namespace in FAULT tag is "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/",
message is understood as fault IN BPEL. But if I change namespace, BPEL understands as reply message.
How can I use my custom fault message with different namespace as http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ ?
Regards,SOAP Fault has a defined structure and defined namespaces. It does provide a placeholder for custom data though. Just like you can not change the namespace of Envelope of Body, similarly you cant change the namespace of Fault(if you want it to be recognized by the client apps). Any custom data you want to send in the SOAP Fault needs to be set as a child of 'detail' element of SOAP Fault. This custom data can have any namespace you wish. This Custom XML will be the element you define as Fault element in your WSDL
<env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<env:Header/>
<env:Body>
<env:Fault>
<faultcode>env:Client</faultcode>
<faultstring>some error string</faultstring>
<faultactor>somedata</faultactor>
<detail>
{here you can put your custom XML content in any namespace which you have defined in the WSDL}
</detail>
</env:Fault>
</env:Body>
</env:Envelope> -
How to send response message from Java mapping class? Please help!
Hi Experts,
I have a sync scenario
-Req--> -
>
SOAP XI RFC
<Res-- <-----
The Req message contains:
<Order>
<Orderid>100</Orderid>
<Desc>Extrenal Order</Desc>
<Qty>2500</Qty>
</Order>
Response message is:
<Log>
<LogTxt>Qty value cannot be more than 3 chars</LogTxt>
</Log>
In the XI I have to validate the input request message using a schema. For this I am writing a java mapping program using aii_map_api.jar.
My requirement is that If the input message schema validation fails then I want to send a response message back to sender.
How can I send a response message back to the sender in java mapping program?
Kindly help with sample code example.
Thanks
GopalHi,
First, I think PI 7.1 has this functionality and perhaps it comes in a SP for PI 7.0 and XI 3.0. So first have a look at that before creating custom development.
Second, if you use the java mapping, you will only have access to a request or response message. I would advise using a custom java module in the module processor and insert this message in the sender communication channel. This will allow you to validate request and send a response.

HELP IN Creating customized Oracle Object from Java
How can I create a customized oracle object that has these 3 fields with data persistance:
NAME : VARCHAR2
INSER_DATE : DATE
OBJ:user-defined collection(oracle.sql.array)
using JAVA. Later, that oracle object is enqueue in Oracle avanced Queue.
I've been looking in this site for the answer but had no luck.
I am using Java 1.2 and Oracle 8.1.6.
Any help will be appreciated as I needed so badly. Thanks.

[email protected]Hi
I assume your attempting to generate a Java class with the approriate getters and setters. If so the JPulisher utility is what your after. You can access it from either JDeveloper or the command line... Its documented in the Oracle Java manuals (jdbc etc.)...
A piece of advice... especially if you using AQ and ADT's or oracle's jms implementation against AQ, make sure you use the Oracle 8.1.7 jdbc drivers, even if your accessing an 8.1.6 DBMS. The performance difference is significant

I have a java class (event handler) that does some server-side processing. During the mid-way of processing, I do a condition
check. If it fails the condition, I would like to pop up an alert message (yes/no confirm) on the JSP that invoked this handler class. If I click, yes I should be able to proceed with the rest of server-side processing, else I return to the same jsp. Can somebody guide me with this java and javascript interation?If the server processing involved only in data processing in DBMS you can do something like this.
Your processing places all the messages that need to be displayded in a queue.
The messages can be in three types
1 - Error Message - (Enqueuing a error message should also result in an exception)
2 - Alert message (Messages to be displayed with only a OK button)
3 - Confirmation button (Yes/No, Ok/Cancel)
after the server processing is orver the client read the content in the message queue and display them appropriatly.
if it found a error message in the queue it should abort the transaction by executing a rollback
if it found a alert message just display it
If it found a confirmation message it should be displayed the transaction should be rolled back or commited based on the users respond
if the user decided to rollback in such cases rest of the messages should be ignored.
Above approach can be used only if you can rollback the entire operation at the end of it -
When trying to get to any site that uses Java Script the following pops up . . .
[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFileInputStream.init]" nsresult: "0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://1clickweather/content/js/utils/filemanager.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 233" data: no]
I've deleted all old updates as instructed and running the most recent version.If you're having this issue open Firefox, go to Tools on the Firefox tabs at the top of your browser window, and click on Add-ons. This will take you to your Add-ons page. Click on Extensions on the right side of the screen and scroll down to the Skype extension add-on. Click on "Disable" to disable this extension. Once this extension is disabled your problem should be fixed. In my case it repaired the problem.

How to show custom error message in WebADI Excel template?
Hi,
I've created a custom Web ADI integrator and associated it with a 'Procedure' based custom interface.
WebADI Interface API Returns is set to "Error Message".
I'm using raise_application_error(-20001, "Actual Error Message") for invalid rows,but custom error message from PL/SQL is not populated on the excel template.
Instead it is showing "SQL exception occurred during PL/SQL upload".
Am I missing anything? How to show custom error message from Pl/SQL procedure to WebADI Excel template?
TIA
NarasimhaThe custom API errors are visible in the BNE log but not on the Excel.

Custom Error message in Login Page
Hi,
I am using MVC framework for my project. I want to display custom error messages to the user in the Login page(JSP).
For eg: invalid password, password has been expired etc. How do I pass these messages from Java to my login page & display it?This is a sample action class for login page in struts : -
package xxx;
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
import org.apache.struts.action.ActionError;
import org.apache.struts.action.ActionErrors;
import org.apache.struts.action.ActionForm;
import org.apache.struts.action.ActionForward;
import org.apache.struts.action.ActionMapping;
import LoginForm.java;
public class Action extends org.apache.struts.action.Action
public ActionForward execute(ActionMapping mapping, ActionForm form,
HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
throws Exception {
ActionErrors errors = new ActionErrors();
ActionForward forward = new ActionForward(); // return value
String username;
String password;
try {
LoginForm lf = new LoginForm;
username =lf.getUserName();
password = lf.getPassword();
if( username== null)
forward=mapping.getInputForward();
if( (username == "admin" ) && ( password="admin"))
// do something here
} catch (Exception e) {
// Report the error using the appropriate name and ID.
//Errors will be caught here.
errors.add("name", new ActionError("id"));
// If a message is required, save the specified key(s)
// into the request for use by the <struts:errors> tag.
if (!errors.isEmpty()) {
saveErrors(request, errors);
// Forward control to the appropriate 'failure' URI (change name as desired)
// forward = mapping.findForward("failure");
} else {
// Forward control to the appropriate 'sucuess' URI (change name as desired)
forward = mapping.findForward("success");
// Finish with
return (forward);
You need to have LoginForm.java as Model and Login.jsp as View . Action.java will be your controller.
