Custom Code to fetch details of  Users access on an application from OES

Hi All,
I am writing a custom code, which will fetch access details(entitlements a user have) of users for an application from OES. I will run this code on my local machine.
For this i have included jars like oes-client.jar and others in my project. But when i am excecuting from my local machine, i ma getting below exception:

  • Looking for Suggestions on granting all users access to an application *except a subset of users*

This might not be the right forum for this question, but since it is related to an App-V application I figured I would try since this may have come up for some of you.  I am looking for the best way to grant all Domain Users access to an application
except for Domain Admins.  Using the Full App-V infrastructure, I want to grant access to the App-V UI via User Targeting, but I don't want to allow Domain Admins access.  The reason for this is because when we make updates to provisioned
server cores (stateless), we login with our Admin accounts to make modifications to the cores, and I would like to reduce the steps that need to be taken at the end to ensure that all AppV applications are removed before sealing up the core.
Currently, Domain Admins do not have access to any App-V applications, so this process is fairly clean.  All applications are User Targeted.
Packages are cached on a persistent D drive on each server, so the issue is that the registry, programdata, and packageinstallationroot become out of sync if packages are pulled down during core modifications after the core is attached to other servers (hence
other D drives).  Because of this, Machine Targeting is not an option for this either.

This would be so much easier with a "Configuration Manager" like feature where you could create a collection query to accomplish the same thing.  Are there other tools out there that will do the same thing?

  • How to find out total of number of users accessing Hyperion Planning applications ?

    Hi All,
Could someone help me with the details of how to find out total number of users who are accessing Hyperion Planning application in Env.?
This is with regard to licenses so wanted accurate and unique information,
    Thanks
    Amith

    Hello Amith,
I think you should have a look at the blog of Cameron Lackpour http://camerons-blog-for-essbase-hackers.blogspot.be/
In the "Shared Services Stupid Trick" blogs, he shows how to find the real access to an application. The side benefit is that it is amusing to read.
In how far this is OK for the licenses is written on another page. You likely need to use the same method as Oracle does. Ask the Salesperson how to do this. (I am curious what his/her reply is).

    Philip Hulsebosch.

  • How to restrict user access in Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4)?

Can anybody please let me know how to restrict user access in 10g AS? To be specific, how to allow http requests from specific IPs only?

    Hi,
You have to edit httpd.conf and modify acces rights for each protected directory
    e.g.
    <Directory /var/www/sub/payroll/>
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from 192.168.1.0/24
    </Directory>
then you have to restart Oracle HTTP Server

  • Multi user access in Single application file

    Hi,
Is it possible to work Single application but multi-user access in Indesign CS6.
If yes, Please let me know how to access.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. InDesign files can be edited by only a single user at one time, but any user can open a file not already in use.

  • End user - Access denied by application security check

    Hello all,
Being a new Apex developer, I'm really hoping someone can point out the magic solution to this problem. I have just created my first Apex application and have only 3 end users who will be using it. I create their username and passwords as the admin and everything is fine, until they try to log on. That's when I get the Access denied... error. However, if I switch them from an end user to a developer, they are magically able to log in and access the application (as a developer obviously). I should mention they are internal users and have internal account credentials, so it shouldn't be this difficult.
This is particularly maddening because I have tried every combination of authorization and authentication I can think of. I am at the point where there is no authorization scheme and it still won't let them in.
Searching through the forums, I've come across threads that mention this error when an Admin tries to log on, but not an end user.
If anyone has ANY ideas, it would be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi,
What URL have you given to the users to gain access to the application. Are they trying to access it via the developer login?
What version of APEX/oracle are you using.
APEX using embedded PL/SQL gateway should look something like this
http://hostname:port/apex/f?p=101 where 101 is the application id
    APEX using Apache
The URL should look something like this
http://hostname:port/pls/apex/f?p=101 where 101 is the application id

  • How to access the MDX application from SQL server when working with OBIEE?

    Hi,
I am new to MS SQL Server 2005. We have developed the OLAP Cubes on SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio with its integration with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
The backend query is in MDX language. Now if I need to run that query I need to access the MDX Application, rite?
So need to know how to connect to MDX application.
    Regards,

Administration Tool: File - Import - "from multidimensional". There you choose "Provider Type" = "Analysis Server 2005". You specify the URL, user name and password. Then you can import MSAS cubes just like Essbase ones.
    Cheers

I have developed one application in webdynpro ABAP.
Now my requirement in to access this application through internet.
I dont want to use portal to run application.
Is it possible to access through internet ?

You can access the webdynpro application via internet with the help of SAP Web Dispatcher. Basis team will install the web dispatcher and then machine can put into a DMZ area which in turn can be opened to Internet with necessary controls.

I think that you have posted this query to the wrong forum. Try this one:
    Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition

  • Custom code after creating a new user via CUA

    Hi experts!
In our landscape we are using CUA for adding users in CRM 7.0. A new requirement is to adjust some default Web UI related settings for every new user created. There is no standard customizing setting for that, but it is possible to programmatically set prsonal settings using cl_pers_admin class' set_data method.
The question is if there is any BADI or User Exit for user creation procedure? If it is present, wouldn't it conflict with CUA routines? Many thanks in advance.

No. Not the main Library folder. Make absolutely sure you are in the Home Library folder and not the main Library folder.
Your Home Library folder is hidden in Lion. To get to it, in the Finder menu, select GO and hold the option key down. Select Library in the submenu. The Finder window will open in your Home Library. This is where your user prefs are stored.
Once there, you will see the Preferences folder. Open it up, select all items within it and move them to the trash. You will need to restart in order for the new Finder preferences to be recreated.
Once you restart, then you will be back to the default preferences to the system and all applications. And yes, it will affect all settings including your Dock, just as logging into a new user. You will have to reset everything there also.
If you wish to do a selective method, instead of deleting all preferences, try deleting the one associated with your problem. Screen saver problems should be affected by the system preferences, so try deleting this:
    com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    com.apple.systempreferences.plist.lockfile
Note that when you delete system file preferences, a restart will be required. For applications, just quit the application before trashing preference files.

  • Users accessing only their applications

    27-Jun-12
    Good Morning,
We're running WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.4.0. We have numerous users as well as numerous applications. Is it possible to set up the users so they only have access to their respective applications? We'd like to avoid a user inadvertently deploying a file to the wrong application, or worse, inadvertently deleting the wrong application.
Thanks for your time and consideration!

    Hi
Do you mean from Deployment Point of View like for Adminstrators. Each Admin can deploy/undeploy only his or her application. I doubt if this is possible. You can control admin privileges at high level and at specific areas. There are Groups like Monitors, Deployers etc. Monitors groups means users in this group can only get READ ONLY access to full admin console. They cannot do anything else. Deployers can do only deployment. BUT you cannot control specific applications to be deployed by specific admin user. If this is your exact requirment, I really doubt this may not be possible.
From the end user point of view, they can only access the applcations. They cannot deploy/undeploy or modify any files. Your first lines of question were little confusing.
    Thanks

  • With Mountain Lion Server, can users access the Messages Server from outside your network?

I would like to setup a new messaging service between my employees because we have issues with most online services. I'm thinking of getting a Mac Mini Server, so I can run Messages Server, but I have an employee outside my network. Can they login to the server remotely to use the Messages Server?
    Thanks

If you're talking about setting up and using the Jabber messaging service provided by OS X server then yes, it's really easy to set up and use in and out of the office. The only trick it is, and also most other services, is a correct DNS setup so you're able to connect and use the server from the "outside".
I use this myself (via Lion server rather than Moutain Lion server) from behind a dynamic IP addressed ADSL line and have no problems whatsoever.

  • Query regarding accessing of Webdynpro application from a non-SAP system.

    Hi,
I have developed a webdynpro application and I want the users from non-SAP systems to access it from their browser. User will not have to enter the username and password of the SAP system. How will I achieve this? Any suggestions?

    Hi Anirban,
you can assign a user in the service of your web dynpro application.
Call transaction SICF and open the service to your web dynpro application.
Within the tab "logon data" you can enter a user/password.
You should not assign a dialoug user.
For productive environment, have a look at all the other options like SSL
and maybe you have to do some more configuration to make it secure!!!
Keep in mind, that all "internet" users are working now with the same SAP user/authorization.
    Kind Regards,
    Andreas

  • Accessing method in application from a component

I need to access a public method in actionscript by a
component that is a child of the application.mxml file.
    How can I do that?
Ive tried this.methodName (but "this" only refers to the
    parent container)
Ive tried "Application.methodName" but that doesnt work
    either.
Ive tried super.method name = no work
Ive tried to reference the application in the import but I
dont know what Im supposed to put there?
    import Application?
My component is loaded into the main application at runtime.
    Any ideas?

Make sure the component has an ID in the main app.
Let's say you give it an id of "myComp". Then, if you want a
public function in theat component, you can use
    Application.application.myComp.myFunctionName();
    Providing you import mx.core.Application
