Custom Fields Dropped

Hi All,
We use classic model where SRM post PR in R3. (which later get converted to PO)
We recently upgraded from SRM 4.0 SP 6 to SP 13.
After the ugprade in our non prod system we found that custom fields that were posted from SRM to R3 are getting dropped.
Any hints or notes that debug/fix above issue?

Hi Alison
Yes we did fix the issue by making change to custom badi.
Looks like the data structure where custom field resided had changed
BADI Definition name BBP_CREATE_REQ_BACK (Create Requisition)
    READ TABLE it_cuf_acc INTO ls_cuf_acc
       WITH KEY ref_value1 = req_items_wa-preq_item.          <=== Before
         WITH KEY ref_value2 = req_items_wa-preq_item.          <=== After.

BTW we only implemented SP 13 as it was released in April 2008 and we thought was stable rather than going for SP 14 that is relatively new. Can you comment on that? and any Note after SP 13 that is useful
Also we are currently looking at the following issue
1.  Enter a country for partner ......... We did implement Note 702787....this only happens when we create a SC for a approved SC.

  • Custom field not getting populated in the "Show Results where" drop down

    Hi all,
    In appointment detail page by clicking on Add button on the user related information section , it takes us to a search layout showing the list of available users.
    Here we have to filter the user's based on a custom field which has already been created in the user object. But I am not able to add the custom field in the "Show results where" drop down for which the search has to be done.
    It is getting reflected in the normal search layouts.So Can any one tell me why the change is not getting reflected in the user related info search layout?

    I tested your use case and you are correct. I would recommend that you submit a service request to CRM On Demand customer care in reference to this issue.

  • Address Book Sharing: are custom fields shared or left behind

    I want to share an Address Book on one system with 3 other users through MobileMe. I will also allow the 3 other users to add, delete and change the contacts. All 4 systems have their own MobileMe accounts.
    We make extensive use of custom relationship fields. Will those fields transfer with the with the shared contacts, or are they left behind?
    (I know that only a limited number of relationship fields (no custom fields at all) in Address Book are available to Pages and Bento)
    I've looked all over the Address Book sharing information (that I can find), and the issue of custom fields does not seem to be addressed in connection with Address Book Sharing.
    Can anyone recommend any documentation that answers this question?
    Is there any real (detailed) documentation at all about Address Book Sharing?

    @taylor thanks for the suggestion, but it's not quite what i had in mind. The red -/green + buttons are used to add/remove more items in the same category, ie., phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, etc. If you finish editing a record and then click on one of these fields, you get a contextual menu with various options.
    But, my Skype name is not an email address, nor is it a phone number. It belongs in the IM section of the Contact template, but unlike the "Custom" option for labeling a Phone Number, the IM drop-down menu doesn't have a Custom option, nor a Skype option.
    There are several possible workarounds, but that's the point, innit? Skype has been around a long time - there shouldn't be a need for a workaround.

  • Custom Field no longer works as an attribute since upgrade from 5.2 to 5.3

    We have just upgrade from CUP 5.2 to CUP 5.3 SP8.1 and it seems that the custom field that could be used in 5.2 as an attribute in the logic used to control initiators no longer works as an attribute in 5.3. The initiators that are now configured with the custom field still work but when we try to change or create a new one it errors saying that the custom field is not an attribute and stops me from including it to use as a flag. I looked in the attribute tabs list and the custom field is not listed but it still show in the drop down list in the change initiator screen select attributes selection.
    Has anyone else seen this and if so do you know how to allow us to use a custom field as an attribute in the initiator select attributes screen.

       Just attach a  custom search help to this field and then in the search help EXIT(RFC enabled Function module) write the logic to reterive the values from R/3.

  • Dropdown Custom Field in CATS Time Sheet in ESS

    I have added a custom field in CAT2 transaction with drop down values from the custom table.  When I log on to ESS I was not able to see the dropdown in timesheet for that field. I am able to configure the field to have a search help dialog box.
    Let me know how can I configure the field to show dropdown values in time sheet in ESS? Appreciate your replies.

  • How do you get the custom fields added to a address book to show up on Pages 09 when merging fields?

    I created some custom fields in the address book and want to get them merged into a Pages 09 document.  When using the merge fields feature in Pages, only the standard fields are displayed.  I am looking for a way to have the custom fields from the address book inserted into the document.

    I believe you will find them if you go to table - unhide all columns.  When you drag and drop card(s) into pages, it automatically shows default fields.  The others are there but hidden.  I hope this works for you!

    Anyone had any experience overriding af:query copmonent? I need to add my custom search field (to query component), which would have a search icon next to it, and on click, a popup widow would open containing my custom task flow where I could select a record with certain value and on return that custom field (in query component) would get populated with selected value.     af:query is a component that comes as is. Its not designed for customization in that you can add your own fields. If you have a requirement for this then
    1. expose a method on the VO Impl or AM Impl that expect arguments (your query parameters)
    2. Use the arguments to populate bind variables used by a ViewCriteria
    3. Apply the View Criteria to the View Object
    4. Execte the View Object
    5. Drag and drop the method from the DC panel as a parameter form
    6. Ensure the result table PartialTrigger property is pointing to the button ID of the parameter form
    7. Change whatever UI component you want to change in the parameter form
    This gets you going ...

  • How to add F4 help to a custom field in WEB UI

    Hi All
    I'm able to see my custom fields in the drop down of 'Search Criteria' in Web UI and on the right side If i give any value to filter the records it is successfully filtering but there is one problem i'm facing over here.
    There are few fields which are having 'Fixed value/ F4 help' now user is asking me to display the corresponding F4 help in right most end so that he will select one value using F4 help and he'll press the 'Search' button to filter the records.
    So how and where do we implement the code to get the 'F4 help' for the fields which we have added ?
    For Example:
    I have a custom field called 'Margin %' now in the Search Criteria screen in web ui we can see like below
    Profit Center                                       is                 '1000'
    Here it will filter the records which are having value '1000' for Profit Center so here client is requiring F4 help so that he will
    select the Profit Center and Press the Search button.
    Hope the requirement is clear!!

    While I was trying to build 'F4' for one of the custom fields(Profit center) for opportunites, I couldn't able to figure out which values we need to pass in the below code.
    Below is the standard code for 'CAMPAIGN_ID' and im refering this to build 'F4' help for my Z* field.

  • Custom field values are not storing in the data base

    Hi Friends,
    We have created one  Custom field called   ZZ_APPROVER in Rfx Header , we have included this field in the below  stuctures
    1.INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_BID
    2.INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF
    The data type of this field ( ZZ_APPROVER ) is CHAR and the length is 1 .  we have given 2  fixed values in Value Range
    1 -
    X+2 Approver
    2 --- Provisional Approver
    so when we select either 1 or 2 ( in Drop Down ), its displaying properly on RFx Screen, but when we try save this document the values are not strong in the data base.
    Can any one give me idea why its not stroring in the data base

    A Record is created in table BBP_PDHSC , for other z fields, the values are stroing , but for this field ( ZZ_APPROVER ) [ drop down list ], the value is not stroring

    I have added few custom fields in custom includes (INCL_EEW* )  
    Those fields are like (LAND1, BLAND) from the T005S.
    I have used the same Data element for these fields.
    But I didnu2019t get any F4 help for these fields in the screen?
    These fields having the Value table for these elements?
    Do I need to do anything, to get the F4 help for these fields?
    Can anybody suggest me?

  • Passing Custom fields to Req and PO

    Hi,
    We are on SRM 5.0 and ECC 5.0.We are using the classic scenario .I am trying to transfer the catalog ID from SRM shopping cart to R3 Req .There are number of threads in this forum that describe the procedure, which i understand.
    But now if the Req is converted to PO in R3 either manually or auto, does the custom fields also get transferred automatically ,if i maintain the same custom fields in CI_EKPODB & CI_EKPODBX? or is there anything else i need to do.

    Besides BBP_CUFMAP, you have to of course :
    - create the same Zdata element datain ECC as you have done it in SRM.
    - maintain CI_EKPODB with append of your Zdata element
    - create CI_EKPODBX and activate it !
    Then you will be able to sea your Zdata element (or CUF) in the EKPO table.
    You don't need to use BBP_PO_INBOUND !
