Custom Identity Service configuration in SOA Suite 11g

Has anyone been successfull in using custom identity service (available in 10.1.3.X) as a identity store in soa suite 11g human workflow component? If yes, please guide me.

Can you make sure your helloworld is using adf bindings as mentioned in thread Re: Urgent :: 11g Invoking Composite from Java/From Webservice Proxy

  • Replacement of Custom Identity Service in 11g

    Hi,
I have several BPEL processes (10.1.2) with workflow and have been using Custom Identity Service (configuring is_config.xml) which talks to my database for user and groups etc. What is the mechanism for this in 11g now that is_config.xml is gone?
    Any documentation will be great.
    Thanks in advance.
    Bipul.

I have been able to successfully implement a custom identity service (pulls users from an Oracle DB). I can select it from the SOA Worklist Application realm drop down and log in with my users.
I'm wondering, however, if there is a way to mimic this behavior from the BPEL Console and/or from a Java program that utilizes the Worklist APIs. From the BPEL Console, I can initiate my process with no problem but in the Audit trail, it complains about the task not being assigned to a user in the "jazn.com" realm. (That's because the user is defined in my Custom Realm.)
In my Java application, although I created a workflowContext by passing in the name of my custom realm, I get the same error mentioned above.
I ended up having to change the default realm in my local server's is_config.xml from jazn to my Custom Realm. Is there a way to specify what realm to use for each process without having to change the default each time?

    Thank you for your reply!
The tutorial emphasizes that I need jdk 1.6 update 11 in order to setup.
The newer release of wl server comes with jsk 1.6 update 14.
    When I tried to run:
    setup -jreLoc C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\jdk160_14
    no setup screen appeared.
Next, I setup stand alone jdk 1.6 update 11 and add it to path,
but setup -jreLoc C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11 failed too, since no setup screen appeared
So I uninstalled version 10.3.2, installed 10.3.1 to follow exactly the tutorial specs.
Does one has to pay oracle consulting, in order to have an installation of soa suite up and running for development?

  • Performance tuning of BPEL processes in SOA Suite 11g

    Hi,
We are working with a customer for performance tuning of SOA Suite 11g, one of the areas is to tune the BPEL processes. I am new to this and started out with stress testing Hello World process using SOAPUI tool. I would like help with the below topics -
    1. How do I interpret the statistics collected during stress testing? Do we have any benchmark set that can indicate that the performance is ok.
    2. Do we need to run stress tests for every BPEL process deployed?
    2. Is there any performance tuning strategy documentation available? Or can anybody share his/her experiences to guide me?
    Thanks in advance!
    Sritama

    1. How do I interpret the statistics collected during stress testing? Do we have any benchmark set that can indicate that the performance is ok.
    You need
    pay attention to:
java heap usage vs java heap capacity
java eden usage vs java eden capacity
JDBC pool initial connections vs JDBC pool capacity connections
if you are using linux: top
if you are using aix: topas
    2. Do we need to run stress tests for every BPEL process deployed?
yes, you need test each BPEL. You can use "Jmeter" tool.
    Download Jmeter from here: Apache JMeter - Apache JMeter&amp;trade;
    Other tools:
    jstat
    jstack
    jps -v
    Enterprise Manager
    WebLogic Console
    VisualVM
    JRockit Mission Control
    3. Is there any performance tuning strategy documentation available? Or can anybody share his/her experiences to guide me?
I recommend "Oracle SOA Suite 11g Performance Tuning Cookbook" http://www.amazon.com/Oracle-Suite-Performance-Tuning-Cookbook/dp/1849688842/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378482031&sr=8-1&keywords=oracle+soa+suite+11g+performance+tuning+cookbook

  • SOA suit 11g uses both ESB and OSB(ALSB)

Hi, I am newbie to SOA suit 11g. Can somebody please explain the use of ESB and OSB(ALSB) both in SOA 11g.In SOA 11g ESB is being used only for mediation.Even OSB(ALSB) has same capability. Then why both needs to be used? Can't we use one of these?
    ~Pradeep

    hello Pradeep,
there is quite some literature on this hot topic - actually it's one of the most frequently asked question from people who are using OSB and Soa Suite.
if you google "OSB vs Mediator" you will find some useful links:

  • SOA Suite 11g HA install and EDNDataSource problem

    Hi all,
We have installed and configured Oracle SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.5) cluster per the instructions in the Enterprise Deployment Guide and Anthony Reynold's blog (http://blogs.oracle.com/reynolds/entry/installing_an_11g_soa_cluster). We are encountering constant XA and DBLocker related errors with the EDNDataSource:
    <Dec 1, 2011 2:35:29 AM MST> <Error> <JDBC> <BEA-001112> <Test "SELECT 1 FROM DUAL" set up for pool "EDNDataSource" failed with exception: "oracle.jdbc.xa.OracleXAException".>
    <Dec 1, 2011 2:35:29 AM MST> <Error> <oracle.soa.mediator.common.listener> <BEA-000000> <DBLocker caught exception while locking messages
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at oracle.tip.mediator.common.error.ErrorDBLocker.lock(ErrorDBLocker.java:82)
    at oracle.tip.mediator.common.listener.DBLocker.lockMessages(DBLocker.java:113)
    at oracle.tip.mediator.common.listener.DBLocker.run(DBLocker.java:77)
    at oracle.integration.platform.blocks.executor.WorkManagerExecutor$1.run(WorkManagerExecutor.java:120)
    at weblogic.work.j2ee.J2EEWorkManager$WorkWithListener.run(J2EEWorkManager.java:183)
    at weblogic.work.DaemonWorkThread.run(DaemonWorkThread.java:30)
These errors occur every couple of seconds on both SOA hosts. Additionally, we see errors on one of the hosts, complaining about EDNDataSource not being clusterable:
<Dec 1, 2011 2:35:29 AM MST> <Error> <Cluster> <BEA-000123> <Conflict start: You tried to bind an object under the name weblogic.transaction.resources.SOA1.EDNDataSource_soa_domain in the JNDI tree. The object from -6284322550635925010S:soa11g-dev-1.domain.com:[8001,8001,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1]:soa11g-dev-1.domain.com,soa11g-dev-2.domain.com:soa_domain:SOA1 is non-clusterable, and you have tried to bind more than once from two or more servers. Such objects can only be deployed from one server.>
We have ensured that the database (we are using a single Oracle 11g database instance, not RAC) has XA support enabled. Beyond this, we haven't found any leads on this forum nor the Oracle support site (we have opened an SR with Oracle). I've seen a couple of other threads related to this issue over the last year (e.g., Re: JTA - XA Rources - Rollbacks reason and What is the purpose of EDNDataSource in SOA 11g? but no resolution was ever posted.
Does anyone have any suggestions of where to being looking to troubleshoot this issue? Any help would be most appreciated!

How are you starting the server? Using start script - ./startManagedWebLogic.sh soa_server1? Make sure that classpath is getting set properly.Yes, after using the script to start the admin server.
How do I make sure the classpath is getting set properly? Seems to be the actual problem, but from the logs when the server starts up the command seems correct from what I can see. If I knew which jars contained the classes it needed I could try and look for them in the start command.
11g is not certified on Ubuntu. Please refer below link for certification matrix -I actually wished Oracle could certify the installers for Mac OSX (just for development), but I guess I could try and get things up on Redhat instead. :P
    Thanks for the input.

  • How to configure SOA Suite 11g Worklist with LDAP Identity Store

    Hi
Im trying to configure the worklistapp to use an ldap identity store (SOA Suite 11g)
The ldap is a open source ldap (Open DS in this case), is NOT : OID, OVD, Active Directory, WLS OVD, IPlanet.
for doing so, i did the next configurations:
    workflow-identity-config.xml
    <configuration realmName="realm1">
    <provider providerType="JPS" name="JpsProvider" service="Identity">
    <property name="jpsContextName" value="worklist" />

  • Issue in setting custom identity service for soa 11.1.1.4

    Hello,
I am facing issue in setting custom identity service for soa 11.1.1.4
It is not picking up the implemented UserManager (in custom IDM) implemented via ServiceProvider and IdentityStoreService.
    This is configured in jps-config.xml
The same setup was working in soa 11.1.1.2
I believe there is a change done in JpsProvider in bpm-service.jar to authenticate via default login context from oracle.security.jps.internal.jaas.module.authentication.JpsUserAuthenticationLoginModule
    If my uderstanding is correct,
Please guide me in implementing custom identity store and services for bpm services for soa 11.1.1.4
Tried various work arounds but no luck.
    Thanks
    Bala

    Hi...
Can u tell me how did u set up custom identity service for 11.1.1.2 ?
    Thanks

  • Configure .p7b(PKCS #7 Certificates) in SOA Suite 11g - Enterprise Manager

    Hi,
currently configured .jks file in em - weblogic domain - security - security provider configuration which is used by owsm policy to validate my incoming signed soap message.
(incoming message is signed with the same jks file). so it is working fine.
Now I got .p7b(PKCS #7 Certificates) file from customer, so I need to replace this with my existing .jks file. How can I do this?
    Appreciate your quick inputs.
    Thanks

customer site is invoking my soa suite application, public portion of the certificate which I got from them I configured at my end(.p7b converted in to jks). with the private key (which I do not have with me) the customer site is signing the soap request and hitting my soa suite.
Getting following error in my soa suite side(soa_server1-diagnosis):
X509 Certificate will not be advertised due to underlying exception "oracle.wsm.security.SecurityException: WSM-00057 : The certificate, abc.org, is not retrieved. The following aliases are found in the keystore:- [defnet.org, klmca.org, abc.org, ]".
while converting in to jks I gave alias, I do not know what value should I give. I found
subject: CN=abc.org... in .p7b file, used the same name as alias.
converted .p7b file in to .cer as suggested by anuj, .p7b file contains 3 certificates,so imported 3 times in to same key store file like this
keytool -import -alias abc.org -file xyz.public.cer -keystore xyz-keystore.jks
keytool -import -alias klmca.org -file klmca.public.cer -keystore xyz-keystore.jks
keytool -import -alias defnet.org -file defnet.public.cer -keystore xyz-keystore.jks
Where I am doing wrong here?
Can I configure directly .p7b(PKCS #7 Certificates) file in enterprise manager (soa suite 11g ps3.). I converted in to jks file and configured but it is not working.
Please suggest. This is urgent. Appreciate your quick help.

  • Configure OSB 11g to use the same domain as SOA Suite 11g

    Hi,
A quick question on OSB Installation and extend the weblogic domain created for soa for OSB also. Please guide me what i am following is the correct path.
I followed the soa 11g and osb 11g installation doc from Eric Elzinga blog also checked oracle doc. Am quite confused about the directory structure to cofigure SOA Suite 11g and OSB 11g.
After SOA suite install , I Configure Oracle SOA Suite by following the below path
Run: middleware/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/config.exe (followed the blog ON OSB 11g Installation from Eric Elzinga).
I have seen another path to configure soa suite from oracle doc
    SOA_ORACLE_HOME\common\bin\config.cmd
    eg: E:\oraclehome\11g\middleware\Oracle_SOA1\common\bin\config.cmd
    both directory str are correct?
After OSB installation , to configure OSB , I choose to reuse the SOA Suite domain to extend it with the Oracle Service Bus components. so in that case , is it the right directory structure I am following is
    <Middleware_Home>\oracle_common\common\bin\config.bat.
    eg: E:\oraclehome\11g\middleware\oracle_common\common\bin\config.bat
    Thanks in advance
    jk

Eventually you configure the weblogic domain always (either it is for SOA or OSB or BPM or all), so you should use middleware/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/config.exe

  • How to configure something similar to optSoapShortcut in SOA Suite 11g

    Hi,
We are migrating processes in BPEL 10g to composites in SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.5). In one of these processes we are extracting the ws-addressing elements replyTo and MessageID from the SOAP header from the calling process and saving these values into a database. They are later used to be able to reply back to the calling process. In 10g this was no problem but in 11g calls between processes are automatically optimized, meaning that they are not communicating using SOAP. Hence, it seems like we can't get the soap headers the normal way.
According to the Administration Guide for SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 the optSoapShortcut property has been removed which could be used in 10g to specify if the calls should be optimized or not. Is there any other way to configure this in SOA Suite 11g?
If not, is there any way to instead extract these elements from some BPEL API or similar?
    Thanks!
    Best wishes
    Kerstin

For release 11g, SOAP optimization is automatically configured. Therefore, if you upgrade your projects from 10g to 11g and are using the optimized shortcut approach in existing applications, note that optimized calls are activated only when the hostname value (as referred to in the WSDL URL in the composite.xml file) matches the Server URL value. Either set both values to the hostname (for example, myhost) or to the full domain name (for example, myhost.domain.com). If these values do not match, a regular SOAP call is performed instead of an optimized local call.
You can still control this using oracle.webservices.local.optimization property.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15586_01/web.1111/b32511/configuring.htm#WSSEC3522
Refer to "Controlling When Local Optimization is Used"

  • OracleBAMAdapter Configuration problem in SOA suite 11g

    Hi,
In Oracle SOA suite 11g(11.1.1.2.0), OracleBAMAdapter configuration using WebLogic server console is resulting in the following error
    * An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
    * [J2EE:160149]Error while processing library references. Unresolved application library references, defined in weblogic-application.xml: [Extension-Name: oracle.soa.workflow.wc, exact-match: false].
    Steps used for configuration:
    1) Modify adapter configuration using navigation:: Deployments -> OracleBAMAdapter -> Configuration -> Outbound Connection Pools -> oracle.bam.adapter.adc.RMIConnectionFactory -> eis/bam/rmi
    2) Specified connection properties with BAM server port details
    HostName localhost
    InstanceName ADCServer1
    Password welcome1
    PortNumber *9001*
    UserName weblogic
In config.xml (%Domains%/soa_domain/config/) , I could see the following library entry
    <library>
    <name>[email protected]</name>
    <target>AdminServer,soa_server1</target>
    <source-path>K:\OracleFMW\Oracle_SOA/soa/modules/oracle.soa.workflow_11.1.1/oracle.soa.workflow.wc.jar</source-path>
    <security-dd-model>DDOnly</security-dd-model>
    <staging-mode>nostage</staging-mode>
    </library>
Could you please help resolving this issue?
    Regards
    Naveen

I do not think that would qualify as a solution :-). I was negligient in deploying Work Flow Application, and was not deselecting the checkbox in 11.1.1.2.0 JDeveloper, which reads out like "Deploy to all the servers". Thus it was trying to deploy it to BAM server as well as the Admin Server. I had to deselect it. It's pretty mundane thing that I was missing.
    Warm regards.

  • Message Ordering or Singlton Service in SOA Suite 11g

In SOA Suite 10g, JMS Adapter could behaviors as Singleton instance by setting the properties "XclusterGroupId".
In addition, set Routing Service to be Synchronous execution, therefore only one instance consuming the Target message queue sequentially.
Does this properties still take effect in SOA Suite 11g, as I didn't find this properties being mentioned through Adapter Technology documentations?
Otherwise are there any other solutions for the Message Ordering?
    Thank you in advance.

Is it the same answer for JMS topic listeners? i.e. each new message on the topic should be processed once and only once by a Composite deployed to a cluster with >1 server instances.
    Thanks for info,

  • Calling Custom XSLT java class from BPEL in SOA Suite 11g

    Hi All,
Morning...need some help with this issue...we are currently on SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.4) version.
Earlier while we were on SOA Suite version 10g (10.1.3.3) we were calling the custom java classes from the xsl mapping for complex transformation and for this we were placing the .class file as .jar file at the location mentioned here $OC4J_HOME/j2ee/home/applib directory and then mentioning the namespace as http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/{$classname$} in the XSLT mapping file.
Now in SOA Suite 11g if we need to retain similar functionality for external custom java calls could someone please help us where do we need to put the .jar file now ..
exactly at which directory location/path and on which instance/server (application server instance or middle tier instance ) we need to put this .jar file
Currently we are stuck and need some help with this.
    With thanks & Regards

    Hi Eric & Anuj,
Thanks for replying , sorry for checking on this now...
    here at this path /opt101/app/oracle/SOAD/SOA11gR1/fmw/Oracle_SOA1/soa/modules/oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1
we got the ora.soa.ext.jar file and extracted it to get the MANIFEST.mf file ..have mentioned below.
Now if we need to link our custom .jar file named customfunctions.jar so we need to mention it as below is this correct :
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.7.1
    Created-By: 17.0-b17 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    Implementation-Vendor: Oracle
    Implementation-Title: Oracle SOA EXT
    Implementation-Version: 11.1.1
    Product-Name: Oracle SOA EXT
    Product-Version: 11.1.1.4.0
    Specification-Version: 11.1.1
    Extension-Name: oracle.soa.ext
    Class-Path: classes/
Class-Path:customfunctions.jar classes/ -- is this the way to mention (means we need to add this additional line or we need to add to the existing line at Class-Path: classes/)
    2.
Eric the Alternative method mentioned in your update :
Open a command prompt and change the current directory to the oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1 directory ,
then execute the build.xml file in the oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1 folder using Ant
Now could someone please guide us regards this ANT means how does it work and its relation to the build.xml file and how do we check whether we have ANT utility available or not..
not much conversant with this ANT hence asking here..would lookout for your reply
    thank you

  • Change configuration of Admin Server (SOA Suite 11g)

    Hi!
I'm using SOA Suite 11g. I've installed SOA Suite 11g on a remote machine and I want to access the Oracle Fusion Middleware Control remotly but I can't. I can only access locally by launching a browser on the local machine.
How I can configure the admin server to be accessible by another computer?
    Thanks in advance
    Tiago Soares

By default you will be able to access the Admin Console and Fusion Middleware Control from any machine.
    Access like http://hostname:port/em or http://hostname:port/console
If it is a DHCP machine, try accessing using the machine ip, instead of hostname.
If this doesn't work, login to Admin console in your local box. Navigate to Servers -> Admin Server. Set the Listen address to that machine's ip or name, now you will be able to access.
