Custom InfoObject for date, problem with offset

Hi all,
I have a BEx reports presenting 0CALWEEK and another IO I created for dates.
This IO has the same properties as 0CALWEEK (but it was not created as a reference of 0CALWEEK).
In my report I'd like to use offsets for both IO's.
It works perfectly for 0CALWEEK, but it doesn't work at all for the other IO. Actually, only the first offset is shown. For all others weeks, I get "#".
Additionally, I made some calculations based on the week difference (using formula variables). Of course, every time a "#" appears, the calculation cannot be done (otherwise it works like it should).
Could anybody help me out with this?
Thanks in advance

Hi Jagadeesh,
did I understand you correctly that:
1) offsets only work with standard characteristics? (this seems really weird to me...)
2) if I want to use offsets with with Z_* characteristic, I will need ABAP?
The problem is that I don't know anything about ABAP.
Do you know any "typical" code to use to resolve this type of problem?
Where do I have to use this code: in the query, in the IO, in a start routine somewhere?
Thanks

  • Date type-specific Customizing missing for date type ACTActPln

    Hi all.
    I'm using a Web Service obtained by copying the CRM 7.0 built-in WS APPTACTCRTRC.
    I'm using it to create Appointments using an Adobe Interactive Form.
    It goes everything fine (a Date is created in the system, with all the input data properly set) excepted the dates...
    The WS uses two TIMESTAMPS, TIMESTAMP_FROM for StartDateTime and TIMESTAMP_TO for EndDateTime, whereas the GUI transaction to create Dates accepts dates and times in separated fields.
    Going in Debug I can see that the execution ends with the following error, referred to the involved entity (CRM_APPOINTMENT):
    Date type-specific Customizing missing for date type ACTActPln
    CRM_APPOINTMENT uses date profile 0000000001 with three possible date types: ORDERACTUAL, ORDERPLANNED and ORDERPROPOSED and I cannot find anywhere date type ACTActPln (just to add it in customizing).
    Is anyone able to enlight me?
    Thank you in advance!
    Alessandro
    PS I've years of experience in Java programming but I'm quite new to the SAP world. Maybe the problem is not a problem at all, but it seems to me as such. Even if it has a trivial solution, please let me know. Thx!

    Hi,
    Well I was about to write that you should enter date in decimal format. but you already did that as mentioned in How to set a date in a Form where the bound date format is a decimal?
    In response to following from above thread (copied for others to understand my response)
    Hi all.
    I'm successfully using the LiveCycle Designer and I've managed to remotely create Appointments using a CRM Web Service (a mere copy of APPTACTCRTRC).
    The only problem I'm encountering is that I'm not able to set the dates/times (start and end of the appointment).
    Dragging each of the two fields from the WSDL based Data Connection I obtain a Decimal Field limited to 15 digits.
    How can I write a date and time in such a field?
    I've tried with a retroverse date as YYYYMMDDHHmmss (for example, 20100301124500) but it does not work
    (the appointment is indeed created, but with the start date and time fields filled with
    the current date/time and the end date and time fields filled with the current date and time plus 10 minutes).
    The retroverse date above is only 14 digit long, so, maybe, this is the problem.
    But, given the field definition, I'm not able to fill a blank space between the date and the time.
    I'm not able to put a dot either.
    What should I do?
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you in advance.
    Alessandro
    15 digit in UTC time format here is fraction of second so you should enter 201003011245000 (add one more zero).
    14th Oct 2010 16:00 should be written as 201010141600000, so just try it and and see if it works, I guess if you do not supply end time then by default it will be starttime + 10 min but this is just guess.

  • Problem with offset values

    Hi Experts,
    I have a problem with offset values. I have create a variable on OFISCPER, it's characteristic value, indivdual value, mandatory and ready for the input. I need to show the varibel period and the l previous period and so on till 12 periods. I used the offset values (-1, -2, etc.) but when I execute the query I can show just the variable period and the period previous I don`t see. The query is based on multiprovider and don´t has filters. Can anyone help me?

    Leonel,
    You may nt need to have 12 columns in the query designer.
    You could include the keyfigure and restrict it to the variable and create the offset for the 12 periods

    You can find string length first. Subtract length by 4,  Then use like new = str+4(len), use condense if required.

  • Tip for Data Merge with Multiple Records (labels, etc.)

    I have seen many InDesign Data Merge questions about how to create sheets of mailing labels, especially the problem of getting only one label per page, when you need 30 or more.
    Adobe's instructions are poor and incomplete in that InDesign doesn't step out the records from a data source - it steps out the FRAMES that contain the data field placeholders.
    That is why you only need to place a text or image frame once on a single page - during the datamerge, InDesign will create the additional FRAMES for each record, and it will create the pages required to hold them.
    You do have to set the desired spacing on the
    If you create the frame on a Master page, ID allows you to update the data source (when it changes) in the Data Merge tool panel.
    These are very nice and robust features, but the documentation for them is confusing to many people.
    You will find more great in-depth help  for Data Merge, with screen captures and attachments, here in the forum.

    For a multiple record merge you need one set of placeholders, then set the margins and spacing in the merge options so the positioning is correct.
    Warning: Using Preview in a multiple record merge will corrupt the file. If you press the preview button, Undo after looking at the preview, then merge without using preview.

  • N8 Mail for Exchange – problems with date separato...

    key points are highlighted by bold text
    Hi,
    I'm using my Nokia N8-00 for one month now and everything works fine except three issues I discovered using Mail for Exchange. Two weeks ago I contacted our domain/mail hoster to set up a MS Exchange account for me.
    Setting up the account on my N8-00 worked as expected, but after a detailed look I found some problems concerning the date separator (normally set in the settings of the clock-application) and the synchronizing of anniversaries.
    To be sure the sources of the problems are not produced by the server I set up the Mail for Exchange (newest available version of Mail for Exchange via Ovi-Store – 3.00(50)) account on my N82. Comparisons to my N82 are mentioned below.
    My first problem with Mail for Exchange on my N8 is that the date separator is switched from . (point) to – (minus) automatically. I'm pretty sure this issue depends on the N8’s Mail for Exchange, cause it only happens in the peak-time (off-peak is set to sync manually). The strange thing is that I cannot trace back this occurrence – it just happens randomly in the peak-period.
    On my N82 this problem doesn’t occur. Additionally the support employee at my mail hoster told me he is using an E-Series (Mail for Exchange 2.07) device without having this issue.
    Is there a workaround or a fix coming for this issue? Is there anybody else having this issue?
    Now coming to the second issue I sustain using Mail for Exchange on the N8-00. Some of my contacts that are synced to my device get the wrong date of birth displayed in the device. Upon contacts where this problem occurs the date of birth is displayed one day earlier than set in Outlook.
    I found out that this issue only happens to contacts born prior to 198* (* between 1 to 4 – sorry not sure about the exact date). One example is the date 02.10.1978, which is displayed as 01.10.1978 in my phone. Even if I set up a new test-contact with this date of birth it is displayed wrong in my phone!
    But it doesn’t happen to all birthdates prior to 198*. And also on this issue I’m not sure where it’s coming from.
    This problem doesn’t happen on my N82 and the E-Series device mentioned above.
    Last but not least the third issue which in a way is similar to the one above but doesn’t happen in the contacts application. Birthdays which are automatically entered as all-day-series in the calendar by Outlook aren’t synced to the device as birthday events (as Ovi-Suite does). Sometimes they aren’t even all-day events – they have a starting time at midnight and an end time at midnight the next day.
    If I change those events to real all-day-birthday-events in the calendar app of my N8-00 they are synced back to my Outlook one day prior to their real date – sounds familiar, huh?
    To be sure these issues are not produced by me in any curious way I made sure that every birthday-event in Outlook is an automatically entered event. Additionally I checked the time zones and the date-separator of Exchange via Outlook Web Access and on my phone – they are both set to GMT +1 and the date is set to dd.mm.yyyy.
    What makes me angry is that those issues don’t happen to my older device.
    Please help me to fix these problems!
    Greetings
    Lars

    I am having ongoing problems with Hotmail and my N8's Mail for Exchange. I have all the latest firmware updates from Nokia, that as I understand it was supposed to fix the problem, it hasn't. I've even done a hard reset on the phone, which lost a ton of stuff that my service provider had installed
    Hotmail via MfE works for a couple of days then stops connecting and refuses to update mail or calendar entries, I then delete the account and recreate it and it all works again for a couple of days. I know this isn't a problem with Hotmail as my Nokia 5800 works perfectly with its MfE.
    This is spoiling what is otherwise a good phone as it's a main feature for me as I use the calendar in Hotmail to organise my meetings etc.

  • Having data problems with ios6, seems to be a unique problem?

    My little brother recently bought an iphone 4s and imediately upgraded to ios6. Since the phone has been in use (less than 30 days) the phone company (bell a canadian company) claims he has used up 17 Gigs of data but the iphone counter says he has only used 5 gigs. I realize the counter may not be totally accurate but that big of a difference seems a little crazy. I also have an iphone 4s with the ios 6 and my data usage that my phone counter displays matches what my phone company says almost perfect (a few mb difference). The data amounts come in large chunks on my brothers phone and at very odd times such as: 1456.28 mb at 4:04 am, or 4268.07mb in one session. He does not use his phone for streaming or anything like that, We are aware of what uses large amounts of data and what does not. he uses it for facebook twitter web browing etc.
    When talking to tech support one guy said that we could have a "lemon" phone claiming that a known problem with ios6 can cause the data to somehow get "scrambled" and completely making up data usage numbers to send to the phone company. According to him this makes it an apple problem.
    My main question is has anyone heard of this? If so I am looking for articles talking abut this problem, we are looking at $1000.00 in overage chrges and are preparing for a fight with the phone company.
    The counter has never been reset and I know that I use my iphone 4s much more than my brother (I stream utube and radio stations alllll the time, goole maps etc) and have never once gone over my 6 gb limit. It just seems quite crazy to me that the difference in the iphone data collector (about 5 gb) and what the phone company has (17gb) is so great. To me that is indicating a serious problem. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks
    Crystal

    Hi
    Sounds like your system don't recognize the sard (BIOS or OS).
    Does your system recognize the card as a "Creative Li've! 24-bit" or something (is PnP functionality in use?) even it don't work? Is BIOS battery well?
    Have you tried by installing Li've! in another PCI slot?
    Is there some security settings set on XP, and are you installing with full admin rights? Can you find the driver files even when your card is not functioning?
    Also, have you tried install drivers by executing the ctzapxx.exe found on installation package.

  • Live Data / Problem with file permissions

    Just trying out an old version of Dreamweaver MX 2004. I am
    using my webhosting service for remote server/testing server
    duties. It is running PHP 4.3.10 and MySQL 3.23.58. I was able to
    set up the database connection and test-retrieve a recordset with
    no problems. In following the tutorial I found that Livedata
    wouldn't work, it just giving me a warning about file permissions
    being wrong. It turns out that when Dreamweaver creates a temporary
    file of the work-in-progress to upload to the remote server the
    file is created on the server with owner=rw, group=rw, world=r
    which explains why it won't run - group has to be set to group=r.
    The file is created on the fly and then immediately deleted by
    Dreamweaver so it is impossible to manually set the permission on
    the server and probably fairly pointless too.
    I tried just saving the file and previewing in the browser
    which again causes it to be uploaded to the remote server. The
    first time this resulted in the browser offering a file download
    box instead of running the page. The reason is - again - that
    Dreamweaver is setting the uploaded file permissions to include
    group=rw. If I manually set the permission for group to group=r it
    runs fine.
    It turns out that Dreamweaver is always setting the file
    permissions on file uploads (checked php and html) to the
    remote/testing server to include group=rw. Once I set it manually
    on the remote/testing server to group=r for a php file everything
    is fine and subsequent uploads of the same file do not change it
    again.
    I checked with the webhosting company and their second-line
    have reported back to me that the default file permission they set
    on uploaded files includes group=r so it must be DW that is causing
    the problem by setting group=rw the first time. I confirmed this by
    using WS-FTP to upload the same file (renamed) to the same target
    directory and the permissions set were owner=rw, group=r, world=r.
    So
    Can anyone please tell me how to change the permissions DW
    sets on files written to a remote server because I have spent
    countless hours on it without success. From looking at other posts
    in this forum it could be that other users are hitting the same
    kind of problem with DW8

    Stop using Live Data with a hosting account. Set up PHP and
    MySQL locally on
    your machine. That is how it's supposed to work. You
    shouldn't test files on
    the fly on a host as you write them. Change your test account
    in DW to use
    the local server. Upload your files to your remote server
    after they are
    fully tested.

  • Mapping and querying Custom Objects for a Contact with REST Api

    Hello All,
    We are hoping to get some details on managing DataCard set through REST APIs. Our implementation goal is to create Contacts and add Custom object for each Contact, or to be precise, add a DataCard Set for each Contact.
    At the moment, to associate a DataCard Set (or Custom Object) to an existing contact, we are supplying following custom object fields during creation of Custom Object:
    new CustomObjectField
                                                                    name = "MappedEntityType",
                                                                    dataType = Enum.GetName(typeof(DataType), DataType.numeric),
                                                                    type = "CustomObjectField",
                                                                    defaultValue = "0"
                                                             new CustomObjectField
                                                                    name = "MappedEntityID",
                                                                    dataType = Enum.GetName(typeof(DataType), DataType.numeric),
                                                                    type = "CustomObjectField",
                                                                    defaultValue = "<ContactId>"
    Is this the correct approach? This is Based on the information provided here: http://topliners.eloqua.com/community/code_it/blog/2012/05/31/eloqua-api-how-to-mapping-a-data-card-to-an-entity.
    Would the REST API allow us to query the CustomObjects using the MappedEntityId value for later updates? If so, any pointers on how we approach that?
    Thanks in ad.

    Either the MappedEntityID field is not available or I do it wrong, Eloqua is ignoring the field and does not map the custom record with the unique Contact ID

    When making the same call from the OAS Enterprise Manager, I can make the same call with no problem (but the data is just rendered as character data in a browser) which maybe suggests some incompatibility with how JRockit is serializing the data ?
    Any ideas, I would be very happy to hear - JRockit gives a 15% or so
    speed boost to the website that these services power so obviously we
    want to use it if possible.

    Seems to be the case that using MTOM stops this problem with JRockit. Strange but apparently true (so far).

  • Date problem with 5320!

    I bought a nokia 5320 xm a few days ago and i am really satisfied with it.
    But i have got some problems with the date the always gets in advance within days.
    For eg. i set the date to Friday 13 february 2009, afte 1-2 days, the date changes to Tue 17 feb 09. It always gets 4 days in advance and that's really annoying when setting new alarms.Can someone help me resolve this problem?
    My firmware version is 4.12.
    Should i update to 4.13? Is there a newer version?
     For those who have 5320, from which country is it from? I didn't get from Finland so i took Korea. Is it of good quality?
    Plz reply...

    Do you use the alarm clock and switch the phone off at night?
    If so this is a common bug that has effected many models lately.  The only workaround is to leave the phone switched on at night.
    It may have been fixed in an updated firmware so check here for new firmware: www.nokia.com/softwareupdate
    If no new updates are available then let nokia about the issue by using the "contact us" link near the top of the page.
    The quality of your model is the same as the quality of Finnish models.

  • Date problem with IST(+5:30) timezone

    Hi,
    I'm having problem with Timezone IST, which is GMT + 05:30.
    SimpleDateFormat returns incorrect date when timezone on client machine is other than IST.
    When Timezone on machine is IST, correct value is returned.
    See the below example. All four dates are same ( LKT is also + 05:30).
    When timezone on machine is IST, all four dates are displayed same.
    For any other timezone, IST date is displayed incorrectly, rest 3 are displayed correctly.
    import java.text.ParseException;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    import java.util.Date;
    public class Test {
        public static void main(String[] args) throws ParseException {
            SimpleDateFormat simpleDateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("EEE MMM d HH:mm:ss Z yyyy");
            Date date1 = simpleDateFormat.parse("Wed Sep 02 02:17:41 +0530 2009");
            Date date2 = simpleDateFormat.parse("Wed Sep 02 02:17:41 IST 2009");
            Date date3 = simpleDateFormat.parse("Tue Sep 01 13:47:41 PDT 2009");
            Date date4 = simpleDateFormat.parse("Wed Sep 02 02:17:41 LKT 2009");
            System.out.println(date1.toString());
            System.out.println(date2.toString());
            System.out.println(date3.toString());
            System.out.println(date4.toString());

    IS this a bug in java??
    Regards

    Your program is in error. PDT and LKT are not valid time zone ids in Java. There may be other problems, also, I didn't check.
    I know this program produces valid results, you can try it
    import java.text.DateFormat;
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.util.TimeZone;
    public class DateTest
        public static void main(String[] args)
            Date current = new Date();
            DateFormat df =
                DateFormat.getDateTimeInstance(DateFormat.MEDIUM, DateFormat.FULL);
            System.out.println("Default TZ: " + df.format(current));
            df.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("IST"));
            System.out.println(df.format(current));
            df.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT"));
            System.out.println(df.format(current));
            df.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("Etc/GMT-5"));
            System.out.println(df.format(current));
    }This program lists all of Java's time zones
    import java.util.*;
    public class TimezoneList
        public static void main(String[] args)
            int msPerHr = 3600 * 1000;
            String[] ids = TimeZone.getAvailableIDs();
            for (int n = 0; n < ids.length; n++)
                TimeZone tz = TimeZone.getTimeZone(ids[n]);
                System.out.print(
                    "TZ: " + ids[n] + "  " + (double) tz.getRawOffset() / msPerHr + "  ");
                System.out.println(
                    tz.useDaylightTime() ? "DST=" + (double) tz.getDSTSavings() / msPerHr : "");
    }

  • Locale for Date Problem.

    Hi all,
    I am using following code:
    SimpleDateFormat sdf=new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm aa");
    Date date=new Date();
    String ls_dateTime=sdf.format(date);
    It is working well. My problem is that I want to change Locale for date as Japanese. But I had problem on new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm aa");
    This aa is used to tell that am or pm. Probs is there. [am or pm] which is not correctly displayed.Please tell the solution.

    Hi guys.
    I have a table with 100 000 items and it is growing with 50 rows per day. it has a lot of columns and two of them are:
    expiration_date date,
    status varchar2 (1) ---- A- active and N- Non active.
    the expiration_date is a date.
    80% of these have status = 'A' and expiration_date in future.
    the problem is that I need to create a processes that changes the items status from A to N in exact expiration_date.
    exact means: the exact time, or can be 10 minutes or one hour max after that date.
    the expiration date can be put manually somewhere in future. when I reach this date, the item need to have the status changed to N.
    I was thinking to create a job, that runs each minute. and select all items that are in status A and have expiration_date smaller than sysdate.
    my select will be something like.
    select * from my_table where expiration_date < sysdate and status = A for update.
    for this I will create a composite index on (expiration_date and status).
    is there a another solution? can I do something like a 'ticking bomb':) : when expiration_date is updated and set somewhere in future, to set a process that will take care to change the status when that time is reached. doing this I can avoid to scan the index (from the first solution) at every minute.
    I use oracle 10G.
    Thanks in advance.The BEST solution would be to modify the app so it doesn't rely on a "status" that is derived from a date. Why doesn't the app already know this:
    if expiration_date < sysdate
       status is active
    else
       status is non active
    end ifUse of a data element (in this case STATUS) that can be derived from another data element (in this case EXPIRATION_DATE) is a violation of basic data design 101.
