Custom infoobject only displaying 20 charcters in BEx

Hi guys,
I have a custom infoobject which i have defined as 60 charcters long. In the cube, i have some values which are more than 20 charcters long but when I execute the report in BEx - the same values are displaying only the first 20 charcters.
I have not marked attirube only or Lowercase letters. (Not sure if it has any effect on the ouptput).

Debug backward from the InfoCube all the way back to the PSA, by looking to see if there is any transformational logic that truncates the values in the field as it's being moved from one InfoProvider to the next.

Here's what you could do:
- First create a Report with Form on your Contact Table
- Next create a new region called customer info
- Drag the different display only items for the columns in the Customer table into the new region
- Finally create a Process Before header which does
     select cust_name, cust_address
       into :P1_CUST_NAME, :P1_CUST_ADDRESS
      from customer_table
   where id = :P1_CUSTOMER_ID;
- Put a condition on the process to only fire when you have a :P1_CUSTOMER_ID
Note: your table, columns might be a bit different than in the above example.

Display Leading Zeros in bex query

Hi,
I am new to BI and need to display leading zeros in bex report.
There is an info-object billing number which is of type CHAR. The values, 00001 - 00010 has been given in the CSV file.
when i generate the same in IP, the leading zeros are mentioned, but the same is not appearing in the bex query.
I have tried ALPHA conversion but this has no affect on the output.
How to achieve the same??

Hi,
To answer your question in detail, there is a conversion routine at infoobject level( Tab- general ), that determines how the values are displayed in the front end. For ex, alpha conversion routine takes away the leading zeros when you display the value in query. ( 0001 displayed as 1 )
Assuming this is custom infoobject, I would suggest you to remove the conversion routine from the infoobject. This will help you in displaying leading zeros in the report.
However, you have to ensure that all the values loaded for this infoobject is properly alpha converted ( packed with leading zeros ) by adding a field routine in the transformation. This will avoid same values getting stored with different internal formats like 01,001 etc.

Spry Menu Text only displays in hover color, doesn't sense browser edge

I have a Spry horizontal menu in a website that is working fairly well in everything except IE6. Firefox, Safari, and IE7 are all fine.
In IE6, random menu items only display in the blue hover color, so they are invisible until you hover over them.
My second problem is that the menu is right-aligned, and the button on the far right has three submenus. I would like the second two submenus to automatically open to the left of the first submenu when opening to the right would cause them to be cut off by the edge of the browser window. How do I do this??

In SharePoint 2013 navigation, is it possible to add a custom link only to the left-hand menu without getting it in to the top menu dropdown?

If I want to add a custom link to the left-hand navigation menu In a SharePoint 2013 sub-site, it can be done by visiting
Site Settings à Navigation section and adding the link under
Structural Navigation: Editing and Sorting section. However, this will automatically add a matching link to the top menu as a dropdown.
(Note that Global Navigation is set to “Display the same navigation items as the parent site” where “Parent is using Structural Navigation.” and Current Navigation is set to “Structural Navigation:
Display only the navigation items below the current site”)

Not able to load text master data for customer infoobject

Hi Guys,
I am not able load master data text to the customer infoobject.
I have a infoobject-A which is loaded with 1000 records, out of which only 100 records are with text and remaining are without text.
I have run a repair full request(extraction from ECC) and
i can see data till PSA(the 100 records which are with text are no more available in ECC now).remaining 900 records are available with text till PSA but not updating to target infoobject.
I have 3.X flow and i have checked transfer rules update rules and tried everythign from side-but no use-still not not working.
Please post your suggestions.

How to make a field in custom screen as display field in screen exit

I have created a screen exit for CO02 with a field for item text in header level as input field , when value is given and save button is cliked it gets updated in database but the problem is same field shows as input field in CO03 ( display mode ) .

FIrst check the sy-dynnr, if it is same as your custom screen number
in PBO of your custom screen

i have a quite complex requirement.
we have an infoobject that has Unit Of measure or in other words something like product group.
the problem is that when we do reporting. the key figures are cumulated per UOM "PC".
we want a to cummulate the keyfigures per "UOM" = custom infoobject. this infopackage has values like "System" "Pieces" and so on.
any Good ideas how to do this?

in the customizing we maintain the links between the item category and account assignmnet category.
these changes has to be done only in the account assignmnet category.

Custom InfoObject / Custom Domain

I created a custom domain (QUAN 17 - 5) in Dev. Transported that to Q, no problems.
I then created a custom infoObject in Dev. That of course included an automatically generated data element. I clicked through to the data element mainenance, and changed that data element so that so it would use my new custom domain. So far, so good, I have a custom InfoObject with a custom data definition.
Added it to a cube, loaded it, everything works as expected in Dev.
But when transporting to Q, the new infoObject does not use my new domain.
When viewing in Dev, the domain edit is displayed in bright blue text, not the 'standard black.'
I've not found a way to make the data element itself (/BIC/OIZZZMYOBJ) transportable.
I've not found a way to make my custom infoObject point to a custom data element.
And of course I can't just alter the data element in Q or P.

The problem is, I don't see how to transport the /BIC/OI*** data element that SAP created when I made a new info object. SAP creates these automatically, and as $TMP local objects. I can't seem to override that to make it transportable.
Likewise, I can't seem to modify the info object to use a different data element ... even one I create.

From within OEM it doesnt look possible. User defined metrics (UDM) can only return number or a string. The alertlog fetch is done via alertlogViewer.pl while being passed a couple of parameters.
OEM does have a preliminary/rough api available at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/oem/emx/index.html but I havent seen anyone make use of it yet.
If you use just a web connection then you will probably run into security issues as a web server can usually only view/access stuff under their htmldoc dir.
Seems like some non-OEM very custom code is what you seek..

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
The default settings mean that cookies are enabled and thus should work.
Did you try to delete the cookies from the bank site?
Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie.
*Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
*Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history:

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

Supported UCM content types by custom content presenter display template

Hi,
custom content presenter display template can only be applied to a Site Studio file? Or the UCM content item type to which the template can be applied can be of different types (says for example an UCM folios or a custom XML file)?
I would like to use the Content presenter in order to customize the presentation of a custom XML file stored on UCM...but as far as I understood I can't do it...I'm correct?

In my scenario, I've a strong requirements in the user interface usability the customer should have in order to perform data entry (it generates the data that made up the XML I'll check-in in UCM): the UI should be more friendly than SS Contributor provides (for example I'll plan to implement it as an ADF page). I've also specifications on the presentation layout.
If I correctly understood, you're suggesting to store in UCM not my custom XML file, but instead a Site Studio data file containing the "same" XML content?
If yes, can I perform the SS data file check-in not using SS Contributor but instead a custom ADF based page? If yes, how can address this?

RSBBS Jump: AR Line Item Query to R3 Customer Line Item Display

I am attempting to create a 'Jump Target' from the 0FIAR_C03 AR Line Item Infocube to the R3 FBL5N Customer Line Item Display transaction.
The query that the jump is to be performed from an Aging query.
The user will be running this query for all transactions posted up to and including the end of the previous calendar month. The posting date is provided by the user when submitting the query (via variable 0P_KEYD2). The aging report works just fine.
Where I'm having the problem is when the user wishes to jump to the R3 transaction FBL5N to display the Customer Line Items. The user wants the 'Line Item Selection' in R3 to inlcude 'Open Items' (this button should be selected -- it is the default setting) where 'Open at Key Date' is to be derived from the query result in the Excel workbook.
I have created the RSBBS Sender/Receiver Assignment so that it goes and retrieves the line items from R3 for the correct customer. However, I have not been able to figure out how to populate the 'Open at Key Date' with the end Posting Date (OPSTNG_DATE) from the query.
I've tried every combination I can imagine in the 'Assignment Details' section in RSBBS, but so far I have not been able to make it work.
Has anyone else out there tried this?
