Custom report sorting

Custom report sorting
I need to display the report column header in vertical format, hence I’ve to use to use some css code along with column name for that. Also, I want this column to be sorted by clicking the column name. So, I’m embedding the following url along with css and column name to enable sorting on this column when user clicks the column header. I got the following url by looking at the standard report with sorting enabled on a column.
http://test.com:7777/pls/htmldb/f?p=100:22:&APP_SESSION:fsp_sort_1::RP&fsp_region_id=1870116795285540
My questions are …
How can I toggle the url to append “_desc” to the fsp_sort_1 parameter dynamically when the user clicks the column name, as it is done when standard column sorting is selected.?
How can pass region id dynamically in the above url (last number in the url)?
Any ideas are appreciated
Thanks,
Surya

hi pavan
i can just tell you that i had no issues with custom column sorting in webi with Enterprise XI 3.0 and Xcelsius 2008.

  • Custom report sorting + pagination

    Hi,
    We have a classic Apex report which can be sorted by three different columns. These columns are indexed, so that with a first_rows(n) hint the first page of rows are fetched quickly, even though the entire result set has > 5 billion rows.
    We need to alter this report to use a pipelined function in order to remove the SQL from Apex. Therefore we need the pipelined function to do the order by and pagination internally, rather than Apex adding the order by and pagination - otherwise Oracle would have to materialise the entire result set.
    Can anyone suggest a way to do tihs?
    Is there a way to get a user's sort preferences and pagination for a report in PL/SQL?
    I traced apex_util.remove_sort_preferences to see them in WWV_FLOW_PREFERENCES$, but would prefer to use an Apex API if one is available.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I have found the solution to control the message.
    In tread Translation or Replacement for Message This form contains unsaved changes.. it says that there is an undocumented text message WWV_RENDER_REPORT3.UNSAVED_DATA.
    Now i still have the wish to change the java alert box to an modal dialog, anybody??

  • Historical Reports - Custom Report (sort of)

    Working in Cisco Unified CCX Historical Reports.  The 'Agent Call Summary' report gives me almost what I need. I need total number of outbound and total number of inboud calls by agent...by hour.  If I run the report every hour that would be great, but unrealistic.  Is there an easy way to run this report once a day and have it break out by hour intervals?
    Thanks!
    Mel

    Hi,
    I am facing the same pbm.
    you mentioned that  "Avoid duplicate row aggregation" where did u do that.
    is there  any other solution other than adding blank space
    please...

  • Custom Rowtype Template with apex.widget.report.sort() - does this work?

    Hi Folks!
    I have a report with a custom rowtype template (3 rows for each dataset) and I have fiddeled around with the build-in javascript sorting-function. (Cause as it seems you can't use the standard sorting functionality on custom rowtemplates.) I came up with a short solution, but I would like to know how safe this is.
    Setup very simple:
    The Header-Template [before rows]
    <table id="myDomId">
        <thead><tr>
            <th><a href="javascript:sortCol(1)">Col1</a></th>
            <th><a href="javascript:sortCol(2)">Details</a></th>
            <th><a href="javascript:sortCol(3)">Col3</a></th>
        </tr></thead>
    Then the javascript handling runs like that:
    var qmmSorter = {};
    $(function(){
       setupSorters();
    function setupSorters(){
        qmmSorter.DomCatch = /\d+/.exec($('#myDomId>div').attr('id'))[0];
        qmmSorter.lastCol = 1;
        qmmSorter.asc = true;
    function sortCol(colnum){
    //console.log(colnum);
        if (qmmSorter.DomCatch) {
            qmmSorter.lastCol = colnum;
            qmmSorter.asc = !qmmSorter.asc;
            javascript:apex.widget.report.sort( qmmDomCatch,'fsp_sort_'+colnum + ( qmmSorter.asc ? '' : '_desc') );
    Maybe I'll also add some arrows to indicate what sorting took place. Tested so far in IE9 and Moz - all we really use in our internal network.
    But this seems all a bit just too easy. so I'd be really thankful for your comments.
    Tanks and greetings,
    Tobi

    It would be even easier to use column header substitution and retain the built-in sort functionality (although this includes the sort direction image bug).
    <table id="myDomId">

        <th>#1#</th>
        <th>#2#</th>
        <th>#3#</th>
      </tr></thead>

  • Wrong folder and report sorting

    We installed BO XI R2 SP4. Folder and report sorting is incorrect. How to fix that?

    Hi Wallie,
    we just started our mirgation from 6.5 to XI
    so BO XI SP4 on .NET is our first XI installation.
    Sort order is incorrect for both folders and objects
    and for both asc and desc orders.
    Most of folders/objects are sorted correctly but several of them are out of order.
    Examples:
    __ASC order__                            DESC order
    Class                                        User
    Customer                                  Report Samples
    Data                                         Report Conversion
    Document                                 Feature
    Accident                                   Admin
    Admin                                       Accident
    Feature                                     Document
    Report Conversion                      Data
    Report Samples                         Customer
    User                                         Class
    I believe it gives the picture.
    Valentin.

  • Custom Report taking more time to complete Normat

    Hi All,
    Custom report(Aging Report) in oracle is taking more time to complete Normal.
    In one instance, the same report is taking 5 min and the other instance this is taking 40-50 min to complete.
    We have enabled the trace and checked the trace file, but all the queries are working fine.
    Could you please suggest me regarding this issue.
    Thanks in advance!!

  • Custom report to get MD04 but for n materials

    Dear All...
    Do you know if already exist a report that show same information than the MD04?
    Is needed to put several material numbers and get the MD04 information to can do sorts, filters, download to excel.
    Is like the MDLD transaction but instead to print it, have the ability to save it in a excel file.
    The Idea is to have a customized report that can be run by 1 or more materials and show like a "photo" on how is MD04 now.
    Have you a case like this?
    How I can create that report?
    Any idea?

    BAPI_MATERIAL_STOCK_REQ_LIST gives you all data of MD04.
    MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API is a FM that is called inside BAPI_MATERIAL_STOCK_REQ_LIST and returns only details of a element (when you click magnifying glass icon in MD04).
    You should test both FMs in SE37 transaction providing it a material and a plant(optional), and check what import data you need.
    CALL FUNCTION 'MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API'
            EXPORTING
              MATNR                          = p_matnr
              WERKS                          = p_werks
            IMPORTING
              E_MT61D                        = wa_mt61d
            E_MDKP                         =
            E_CM61M                        =
              E_MDSTA                        = wa_mdsta
            E_ERGBZ                        =
          TABLES
            MDPSX                          =
            MDEZX                          =
            MDSUX                          =
            EXCEPTIONS
              MATERIAL_PLANT_NOT_FOUND       = 1
              PLANT_NOT_FOUND                = 2
              OTHERS                         = 3.
    This is a little example of the FM call.
    Note that function modules only receive a single material, so in your report you must call the function as many times as materials you have and store return items in internal tables before you display them.

  • Custom Report using Metrics of Instance and Server

    Hello
    I need to create a custom report using different instance and server metrics like:
    File System Space Available
    Tablesapaces
    Database Spaces usage
    Sort in Memory
    library Cache Hit
    Data Dictionary Hit
    Buffer Cache Hit
    I already made the report, but I can´t change the size of the graphic (for a better presentation on my report)....
    Do you know how can I change the size of the report?
    I think that I´m using a "metric" so for that reason I Can´t change the size ... :(

    I am currently having a problem with this report and drilldown to KSB1, the cost centers selected int S_ALR_87013611 are not transferring to KSB1 and thus all the cost centers come up in the call to KSB1, are you experiencing this problem? I am on V4.7

  • How to Created custom report for Ship not Billed (SD/FI)?

    Hi all,

    Anyone can help  me with writing a Report , how to do 'Custom Report for shipped not Billed(SD/FI)' ..But since I am new to Abap , if you wish to reply, please use a little more detail and simple explanation, step by step so I can understand what is the idea, how it can be acheived...what kind of report should be used , techniques, tables etc...:)
    Appreciate your help!
    Regards,
    Boby

    Hi Boby,
    You need to create custom transaction to achive these results.
    you will have selection-screen ,it would be :
    Date : Here date would be mandatory  - Ranges Option
    Customer  - Optional field - Ranges
    Order #  Sales Order (Optional) Ranges
    Invoice #  - Invoice # (Optional) Ranges
    You will get the data based on ur selection-screen criteria ...
    First you will have customer order details from diffrent table
    VBAK,
    VBAP,
    LIKP
    LIPS
    VBRK,
    VBRP
    KNA1,
    VBFA Tables ( See the my sample program )
    Output would be :
    Customer #   Custome Name    Order #   Delivery #   Invoice #   Netpr, Netquantity ,
    Check the condition  whether invoice table has VBRK-RFBSK  = ''.
    See the my sample program : This is sales report by monthly..

  • FBL5N Customer Namewise Sorting Needed

    Dear Friends,
                  In FBL5n , now Customer Codewise Sorting is coming. My Requirment is Customer Namewise Sorting.
    both Customer Number and Name are in Header Level.

    HEllo!
    Please, read my explanation below:
    The field NAME1 is not included in the tables BSEG and BSID/BSAD or in
    the structures RFPOS and RFPOSX. Therefore, you will not be able to add
    NAME1 to the line item display in FBL5N as a standard field or as a
    special field (note 215798).
    But, there is a workaround for this.
    If you need NAME1 to be shown in the Line Item Display then you need to
    add the field to the structures RFPOS and RFPOSX.
    When the structure has been extended with the field then you need to
    run the reports RFPOSXEXTEND and BALVBUFDEL (in the same way as seen in
    the solution part in note 215798).
    After that you need to use the Open FI Exit 1650 to fill the fields. You
    will find a function group FI_ITEMS from transaction SE80. In this func-
    tion group you will find a function module FI_ITEMS_DISPLAY where the
    form ITEMS_DISPLAY_INIT includes the exits 1610 to 1650. The important
    one for your problem is 1650 (OPEN_FI_PERFORM_00001650_E).
    This exit is used if you want to display fields in e.g. FBL5N which
    does not exist in the tables BSID/BSAD and also not in the customer
    line item in BSEG.
    Through this user exit it should be possible to get the value from the
    relevant tables e.g. from other customer tables into structure RFPOSXEXT
    if there is a relation between the relevant tables e.g. KNA1 to RFPOSX/
    BSID.
    Please also have a look at notes 112312 and 217189.
    I hope this information clarifies your query ;D !
    Regards,
    REnan

    Thanks for the input! Yeah it is based on a query from a collection as all this data is summations that i am pre-populating.
    Yes this html is probably from 1998 or 1999 I think they told me actually lol
    So there is no way to accomplish what I am trying to do then?
    There is no way I could use a break on first column and modify the header info to get the same sort of look and feel?Still not really clear what you are trying to accomplish, and in my view there are so many problems with the "look and feel" that it's not worth perpetuating.
    Making a lot of assumptions, I've come up with the kind of HTML structure I'd use when marking up this kind of data. I added a page 2 to your example on apex.oracle.com, showing a basic presentation of this structure alongside the original for comparison, and another styled using the default theme L&F.
    <li>Given the requirement to use multi-level headers (and because I prefer to have total control over the HTML), I stayed with a custom report template rather than trying to utilise column breaking with a generic column report template. This also permits use of more advanced table structures than can be supported by standard templates, such as s<tt>colgroup</tt>s to organize the table columns as well as the rows:
    Before Rows
      <table cellpadding="0" border="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" #REPORT_ATTRIBUTES# id="report_#REGION_STATIC_ID#">
      #TOP_PAGINATION#
      <tr>
        <td>
          <table class="fish">
            <caption>Some fishy summaries</caption>
            <colgroup span="1"></colgroup>
            <colgroup span="4" class="evaluation-trips" align="right"></colgroup>
            <colgroup span="4" class="other-trips" align="right"></colgroup>
    After Rows
          </table>
        </td>
      </tr>
      #PAGINATION#
    </table><li>Rather than separate tables, the report is contained in one HTML table, utilizing the <tt>tbody</tt> element to subdivide this into separate row groups to meet the "break on first column" requirement. This is achieved using conditional row templates, with PL/SQL Expressions based on the values of metadata columns added to the query:
    Row Template 1
    Header rows and first data row for each row group. <tt>scope</tt> attributes are added to multi-column headers for improved accessibility:
      <tbody>
        <tr>
          <th colspan="9" scope="rowgroup">#C1#</th>
        </tr>
        <tr>
          <th></th>
          <th colspan="4" scope="colgroup">Evaluation Trips</th>
          <th colspan="4" scope="colgroup">All Other Trips</th>

          <th>#C6#</th>
          <th>#C7#</th>
          <th>#C4#</th>
          <th>#C5#</th>
          <th>#C6#</th>
          <th>#C7#</th>

          <td>#C13#</td>
          <td>#C14#</td>
          <td>#C15#</td>
          <td>#C16#</td>
        </tr>
      #CLOSE_ROW_GROUP#
    Row Template 1 Expression
    This template is used when the row metadata shows that the current row is in a different row group from the previous row:
    #ROW_GROUP# != #PREVIOUS_ROW_GROUP#
    Row Template 2
    This is the "default" template, used for any subsequent data rows in the row group:
        <tr class="#ALT#">
          <td class="desc">#C8#</td>
          <td>#C9#</td>
          <td>#C10#</td>
          <td>#C11#</td>
          <td>#C12#</td>
          <td>#C13#</td>
          <td>#C14#</td>
          <td>#C15#</td>
          <td>#C16#</td>
        </tr>
      #CLOSE_ROW_GROUP#Both templates make use of a <tt>#CLOSE_ROW_GROUP#</tt> column value conditionally generated in the query that returns a <tt>&lt;/tbody&gt;</tt> tag if the current row is the last data row in the row group. (Mixing logic and structure in this way is not good practice, but APEX only allows up to 4 conditional row templates, which is completely insufficient for any moderately complex structure.)
    <li>Several metadata columns (incorporating heavy use of analytic functions) are added to the report query for use in the report template or CSS presentation:

    <li>Finally, the visual presentation is applied using CSS rather than (mainly deprecated) HTML attributes, via an embedded style sheet in the page HTML Header:
    <style type="text/css">

      border-collapse: collapse;
    .fish tbody tr:first-child th {
      border-top: 1px solid #fff;
      font-weight: bold;
    .fish th,
    .fish td {
      padding: 3px 6px;
    .fish th {
      border-bottom: 1px solid #fff;
      border-left: 1px solid #fff;
      background-color: #275096;
      color: #fff;
      font-weight: 300;
      text-align: left;
    .fish td {
      text-align: right;
      .fish tr.\30  td {
        background-color: #dde;
      .fish td:first-child {
        text-align: left;
    </style>The default theme L&F report adds vertical borders to separate columns and column groups (latter may not be fully effective on IE: I'm not wasting my time on quirks mode fixes for that).
    The resulting report uses 60% less vertical space, and 87% less HTML code[1] than the original. Usability and accessibility are improved by eliminating nested tables and useless table cells and shim images, increasing the contrast between text and background colours, and using alternating row backgrounds for better visual tracking.

  • Custom report for SNMP activity

    Does anyone know a good way to create a custom report on CS-MARS to monitor SNMP activity? I checked into the Report Creation tool and saw the fields for 'System Monitoring', etc. but wanted to know if someone already had a good solution in place. Thanks.

    I had a problem with SNMP cpu spikes that I narrowed down with 'sh proc cpu his' and sh proc cpu sort', but I thought it would be helpful to have a report in CS-MARS that monitors when there is SNMP activity so I could check times when SNMP scans were being run (kind of like 'ping network sweep' in CS-MARS). So I can make sure they are legitimate scans and not something help desk is running, etc. I was just wondering if anyone had created anything like this. Thanks.

  • Custom report prime infrastructure 2.0

    Hi all.
    I'm missing a function in PI 2.0 (as I know from LMS 4.2).
    Reporting a MAC-Address-List by device (switch).
    In PI, I've only found a report "device" ==> "wired port attribute" ==> "wired port attribute detailed report"
    Here I can select "Report by Device Name" some attributes and "sort by name"
    But the result has no information about the device name ... In the field "Device IP Address" is only the IP-Address of the accessed end-device filled in (e.g. a PC). In the field "Name" is filled in the name of the interface (e.g. Ethernet )
    My question is now: how to create a custom report with the information "Switch" ==> "Port" ==> "connected MAC-Address" ==> if possible "connected IP-Address"
    Regards
    Markus
    PS:
    Here the structure of the report I've found:
    Name
    VLAN Id
    Device Ip Address
    Description
    MAC Address
    Admin Status
    Operational Status
    Type
    MTU
    Speed(MB)
    Duplex
    isTrunk
    TrunkEncapsulation
    FastEthernet1/8
    0
    1XX.YY.ZZ.7
    switchxyz-as-00 / NEXANS
    00:19:e7:e5:09:17
    Down
    Down
    ETHERNETCSMACD
    1500
    100
    FULLDUPLEX
    true
    _8021Q

    Hi Markus,
    From my experience PI2.0 has very limited (basically none) custom reporting. The only customising you can do is with existing/preconfigured reports in terms of setting the dates, nr of devices reported on etc etc...
    Lets see what the newer versions brings...
    Ciao

  • Custom Reports in ISE

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a custom report in ISE from the default report in the catalog AAA Protocols > Radius Authentications.
    I'm able to open it and then I click on the "Launch Interactive Viewer" which gives me the editing controls.  However, all but column renaming is grayed out.
    I'm trying to hide some fields in the default report and sort by a different column.  I've tried saving the report under a different name and placing it in the AAA protocols folder, but it doesn't show up.  I've also tried to put in my Favorites first, but I get the same results.
    I've tried a few other default reports with the same results.  Also, when I save the report I see other default reports in teh folders that are not showing as options to run.  Not sure if this is a bug or by design (not ready for general release reports or something).
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    I am facing exactly the same issue with 2 of my custom Reports in R12.1.3. We did our level best to find out the issue. It was always a hit and trial fix.
    But the following were our observations and workarounds
    0) The reports Conc Prog were in MOAC - Single mode. Both the reports had SRW INIT, EXIT and P_CONC_REQUEST_ID
    1) The reports which caused the issues[NO data fetched for MOAC] had multiple Queries in the data model and one Query fetches data and the 2nd one doesnt. Both the queries when run from SQL developer after setting the org gave results.
    Workaround for Report1
    a) We deleted the data link connecting the 2 columns in both the queries and added a bind variable instead in the 2nd /child query to refer to the column in the parent query and linked the 2 groups.
    Workaround for Report 2
    a) In report 2 the queries were not linked to each other. Only one query used to return results and the 2nd one returned 0 rows. The workaround was to use the "where" conditions as lexical parameters after having set the value for the same in before report trigger.
    Both the work around looks illogical. Still It worked..!
