Custom Securing Attribute

We have Securing Attributes in User Definition Form.
Navigation: System Administrator > Security > User > Define.
Is it possible to have a custom value for securing attributes?
If yes where should I define that?
Thank You

  • Custom MBean - Attribute Display Order & Documentation

    Hi All,
    I've implemented custom security providers for one of our customers. All Providers are working very well. However I've problems about displaying attributes of my MBeans in WLS console. Attributes of my custom mbean definitions are displayed in console in unsorted manner. They're not sorted as I put them in mbean definition file and as I know there is also no display order attribute specified in "commo.dtd". I also checked [MBean Definition|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/web.1111/e13718/mdf_ref.htm#i1035144] . Is there a way to specify display order of managed bean attributes that placed in mbean definition file ?
    My second question is about generating description to display WLS console. I first tried to use "Description" attribute of MBeanAttribute element. It didn't worked. So I checked out out-of-the-box security providers to how they've done this before. I created "-doc.xml" files that uses "commodoc.dtd" schema and my attribute element's "Description" attributes as "See ...-doc.xml" in mbean definition file. It also didn't worked. I need to find a way to put my descriptions in WLS console . Any help would be appreciated.
    I'm including sample mbean definition, mbean documentation definition and my mbean generation ant comments. By the way I'm trying all this by using WLS 10.3.2 environment with Sun JDK 1.6.0.18.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Bursting with translation and security attributes?

    Hi folks,
    I've been lurking on the forum for a while and despite not always finding a solution, existing threads normally pointed me in the right direction - so thanks :)
    I'm working on EBS 11.5.10 with the latest Bi-Publisher 5.6.3 (5472959) and bursting (5968876) patches installed.
    I have successfully done the following individual AR Invoice Bi-Publisher tasks:
    1. translated an invoice RTF template by attaching an xliff file to the data definition,
    2. applied security attributes to the template to restrict updates on the resulting PDF,
    3. burst a custom AR invoice print and emailed the resultant pdf's.
    The PDF generated by the combined Invoice print correctly applies the translation and security attributes; however when I run the "XML Publisher Report Bursting Program" to the XML file the resultant burst PDF's do not apply the translation or security attributes. I assume this a limitation of bursting control files? If so, is this on the list of future enhancements to Bi-Publisher?
    Here's an example of my control file document entry, I have included locale and pdf-security entries - these don't cause an error but equally don't generate the desired result (p.s. I know I'm emailing on a PRI filter - it's just a test):
    <xapi:document output-type="pdf" delivery="att_email">
    <xapi:template type="rtf"
    location="/usr/tmp/xxxINVOICE3.rtf"
    locale="fr-US"
    pdf-security="true" pdf-encryption-level="1" pdf-permissions-password="xxxxxx"
    filter=".//G_INVOICE_HEADER[PRINTING_OPTION='PRI']" >
    </xapi:template>
    </xapi:document>
    Thanks
    Dave

    ==Properties Idea's

    You would have happened to try applying the security stuff in the application for your template? Try that and see if the pdf properties get set.
    If that doesn't work your left with two options:
    1. create a java concurrent program and set the properties manually.
    2. Log a tar.
    =================
    ==local idea's
    =================
    Are you sure you don't have to create template config for the locale? i suspect that's why it's not applying the xliff translation. Also, your NLS_LANG needs to be set to FRENCH for the approriate template to be applied. If your logged-in as english your french format template will not be applied, neither will the translation. As an example you can query vl table and you'll only get american (us) but if you alter your session you'll get the translation for that language when your query the table.
    location="xdo://xxxAR.xxx_XML_PRINT.fr.US"
    try it out and see if that works. Note: This will only work if your session NLS_LANG is set to FRENCH.

  • Cannot assign custom security manager to repository

    Hello,
    I've been following the details on how to implement a read-only security manager (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e2ddd63d-0b01-0010-46bb-e092790068cb) and I have run into the following problem:
    After following the instructions for option B in the document (creating a security manager only) and  deploying my project, the new security manager appears in the list of managers on the admin screen (Content Management -> Repository Managers -> Security Manager) but it is not available in the drop down list of security managers for my repository. Without that entry I cannot apply the new security manager to my repository.
    According to the document, the new security manager should be part of this list but it is not even after I've restarted the J2EE engine.
    The document is dated May 2006 so perhaps there have been some changes to the system that are not covered in the document. We are running NW 7.0 SP14.
    Any help in determining why my custom security manager is not part of the security manager drop down list would be appreciated.

    Ok, after much decompiling and inspection of the standard KM security manager implementations I found the answer to my question.
    Basically I found that the security manager tutorial only applies if you plan on using your custom security manager with your own custom repository manager. You cannot apply a security manager created using that document to a standard KM repository manager.
    In my case I want to apply a custom security manager to a standard KM File System Repository. By inspecting the SFSRepositoryManager.cc.xml file I found the following entry:
    <attribute name="securitymgr.ref" type="ref" refType="/cm/repository_managers/security_managers/SecurityManager" mandatory="false" hotReload="true" />
    The refType value defines which security managers are displayed in the drop down list of available Security Managers at runtime for the repository manager. In order to get a custom security manager to be available you must define the cc.xml for your custom security manager so that it extends "SecurityManager" not "SecurityManagerMi" as the tutorial describes.
    Changing the extension means your security manager implementation must also change so that it extends com.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.AbstractRepositorySubManager and implements com.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.ISecurityManager.
    Now if only I could figure out how to reward points to myself .....

  • Security attributes, qfp and un-authenticated users

    Hi,
    I have some observations regarding security attributes, query filter plugins and un-authenticated users that I would like your comments on.
    I am developing a custom crawler, a will be using OID for authentication. Not all users will be authenticated (hence they should only have access to content considered public). Authorization is done by the document source (using the option "ACLs controlled by the source").
    I am quite sure that I have read somewhere that not adding a security attribute for a certain document leads to the document being treated as public.
    Observations:
    A) Query filter plugins will only be called for authenticated users
    B) At crawl-time, not adding a defined security attribute leads to the document not being indexed
    Observation B means that my security attribute has to be added for every document (for the public documents populated with a value representing public access). Observation A means that the query filter will not be invoked for un-authenticated users (hence, they won't see any of the indexed documents, since all have security attributes).
    Question:
    How should I ensure that the documents considered public are available for unauthenticated users?
    Regards,
    Rune

    Hi all,
    I seem to have had inaccurate logging , so my assumption A is false.
    Then I have a simple workaround (add a special security attribute value for public documents), and you can forget about my question.
    regards,
    Rune

  • SAP Cookies does not have secure attribute

    Cookies remain without Secure Attribute after changing ticket_only_by_https = 1, SystemCookiesHTTPSProtection=true, and ume.logon.security.enforce_secure_cookie=True.
    1.)ABAP: sap-appcontext cookies
    2.)Portal: com.sap.engine.security.authentication.original_application_url
    Security guidelines advice us to put all cookies into secure flag.
    1.) What are these cookies, the information it contain and how are they use?
    2.) Is it necessary to set this cookies to secure flag? If not is how does SAP handles possible cookie hijacking?

    Hi Jason,
    The cookie "com.sap.engine.security.authentication.original_application_url" is used to remember the originally called URL, when - to retrieve this URL - a logon is needed. After the successful login, it is used to redirect to the originally called application URL (and will be deleted then).
    It is also (mis)used to interpret for the SPNego login module if there already was a failed approach to login via SPNego. So if the auth request sees this cookie, it does not try to run SPNego but skips it.
    The value is encoded; only the information if the initial request was GET or POST is put in clear text in front of the value, separated by a "#" char.
    The code setting the cookie can be found in class com.sap.engine.interfaces.security.auth.AbstractWebCallbackHandler in line 1200++ - there someone could add the secure flag.
    Hope it helps

  • Custom secure views report is not restricting the data

    Hi,

  • Error While creating Security Attributes (QueryFilterPlugin)

    Hi,

When I try to create a security attribute from an instance of DocumentAcl using method addSecurityAttribute("", "") I get following ProcessingException
    EQG-31202: Security attribute not allowed in identity-based access control crawl.
    What configurations should exist on SES before creating a security attribute.

    Regards,

    Sorry about the delay in getting an answer on this...
    <p>
    It seems that your crawler manager class has to implement the "UserDefinedSecurityModel" interface. If it does that, then it will run in attribute-based security mode, whereas if it doesn't it will run in identity-based security mode.
    <p>
    So the declaration for your manager will look something like this:
    <p>
    <br>
    public class MyCrawlerMgr implements CrawlerPluginManager, UserDefinedSecurityModel<br>
    {<br>
    ...<br>
    }<br>
    <p>
    See: javadoc
    <p>
    I raised doc bug 6666752 for this issue, since it's not at all well documented. Our apologies for the difficulty this has caused you!

    Hello Vikram,
    Are you using the new WLS 7.0 security framework? It is not supported for
    Portal 7.0. For Portal 7.0 apps you have to use compatibility mode (6.x
    style) security.

  • SQL Query in Custom Security when creating Security Profile

    Hello all,
    I've created a security profile with Custom security and provided a simple query in Custom Security tab-
    PERSON.PERSON_ID = FND_GLOBAL.EMPLOYEE_ID
    Custom security option is "Restrict the people visible to each user using this profile"
    I am not able to see the record as expected.
    If I Hardcode the person ID "PERSON.PERSON_ID = 13449" with "Restrict the people visible to each user using this profile", I am able to see the record.
    If I Hardcode the person ID "PERSON.PERSON_ID = 13449" with "Restrict the people visible to this profile", I am able to see the record after running PERSLM and same is in PER_PERSON_LISTS.
    Am I correct in checking with FND_GLOBAL.EMPLOYEE_ID?
    (This was mentioned in system administrator guide :
    "+Oracle HRMS assesses the custom security when the user signs on. In addition, the custom security code can include references to user specific variables, for example, fnd_profile.value() and fnd_global.employee_id.+"
    docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e13509/T2096T2098.htm).
    I have tried with FND_GLOBAL.USER_ID / FND_PROFILE.VALUE('USER_ID') / :ASG_ID (seeded query has a join with this bind variable) - not happening.
    I've given options as below :
    Employees = None
    Contingent Worker = Restricted
    Applicant = None
    Contacts = All
    Candidates = All
    All other options - Defaulted
    Thanks,
    Sumanth

    Resolved this - One cannot see self's employee record in the form for which this is setup.
    Hence the below query though correct in syntax did not show any data.
    PERSON.PERSON_ID = FND_GLOBAL.EMPLOYEE_ID
    My original requirement was that all employees belonging to one's Organization should be displayed, and this is working fine with an updated query for the same.
    Thanks,

  • How to pass custom cookie from report builder application to SSRS Custom Security Extension?

    We want to implement SSRS in SaaS model. We implemented Custom Security extension in order to authenticate users from other application. When user enters username/password, i would like to authenticate the user in other application and it will return some data which can be used for autherization. I am expecting the same set of data will be accessible during all autherization calls.
    Currently we are implementing this in Report Builder application. I couldn't able to persist the information in cookie. Report builder removes all the cookies exceprt one cookie which is used by report server.Is there any way to share the information in all reportbuilder autherization calls in same session?

    if you have your own data extension, you can using
    HttpContext.Current.Application.Add("yourkey",
    yourdata);
    to save your data, but the issue I met it the key, I cannot find a key depended on report builder. If I use username, if the user open 2 report builder, both of them will get the same key and same data, but at this case the data should be different.
    I hope it will help you.

    Their solution (wlp.propogate.login.exception.cause=true) does not work for WLS 10.3.
    How to propagate original LoginException?
    Or exception message only.

    I did it! look closely to source code:
    javax.security.auth.login.LoginContext:875

      throwException(firstRequiredError, null);
    } else if (success == false && firstError != null) {
      // no module succeeded -- return the first error
      throwException(firstError, null);
    } else...
    I set Control flag: OPTION to DefaultAuth (was REQUIRED)
    and order it after my LoginModule. (restart required!)
    Now I catch my exceptions %)

  • What is the best way to deploy/update custom security realm classes to WLS 6.0?

    From the WLS 6.0 console, I see that I can specify the Java class that
    implements my custom security realm but I am wondering what is the best way
    to deploy/update this code. I don't see a way to do this from the console.
    Does this mean that I have to manually copy the class files over that
    implement my custom security realm?

    Thanks Danut,
    A jar file seems to be a good way to package it up but it sounds like it
    still needs to be manually copied to each Weblogic server install directory
    post-installation and whenever it is updated. I thought it would be nice to
    be able to deploy/update the custom security realm by uploading it through
    the Console just as you can with web applications and EJBs.

    You have to have your Custom Realm class in the class path. I usually havea
    jar file with all the Custom Realm classes and that jar I copy it in thelib
    folder. Then I modify "startWebLogic.cmd" and I add to the classpath
    ".\lib\CustomRealm.jar"
    set
    CLASSPATH=.;.\lib\weblogic_sp.jar;.\lib\weblogic.jar;.\lib\CustomRealm.jar;

    Be aware that in order to have you custom realm besides creating thecustom
    realm using the console you also have to create a custom caching andchoose
    that one as your default caching realm.
    Here is how the security settings are looking in my "config.xml"
    <CustomRealm Name="CustomRealm"
    RealmClassName="Custom.appserver.weblogic.security.CustomRealm"/>
    <CachingRealm BasicRealm="CustomRealm" CacheCaseSensitive="true"
    Name="CustomCachingRealm"/>
    <Realm CachingRealm="CustomCachingRealm" FileRealm="wl_default_file_realm"
    Name="wl_default_realm"/>
    <FileRealm Name="wl_default_file_realm"/>
    <Security GuestDisabled="false"
    Name="mydomain" PasswordPolicy="wl_default_password_policy"
    Realm="wl_default_realm"/>

  • Rich Text Editor with Custom Text Attribute

    Hello All,
    We are using the latest version of Oracle Portal 10G. I have a need to create custom Attributes of the type text to let people enter a lot of text. But when User are in edit mode of an item where this custom attribute is used, the Rich Text Editor is not shown for entering the Text for the Custom Text Attribute. It shows a normal html text area. Has anyone ever used RTE with Custom Attribute?
    I request you guys for help.
    Thanks.

    The Problem with the Custom Attribute is not solved, but I have now compromised with the Situation and now I am not using a Custom attribute.
    Rather, Now I am creating a Custom Item Type using Base Text Type (earlier i wanted to create custom item type at my own without any base item type). In this case now I will not be able to change the Lable of the RTE (that is "Text", when the Custom Item is in Edit Mode), but I hope that my users can understand that much.
    I have created a template for portal pages. In the Template I can edit the Region Properties. When I edit the Region property of the region where I want to display my Custom Items. I get two Tabs on the top, Main and Attributes/Style. ON the main tab I can tell what type of region it should be, width etc, in my case it is item type region. And on the Attributes/Style tab, I can select from the availabe Attributes as which all Attributes I want to display. Here if i select only "Associated Functions" Attribute then normally portal should not render anything by default on the Page. It should rather make a call to the procedure which is associated with the Custom Item and as when I was creating the custom item type, I had clicked on "Display Procedure Results With Item", so portal should now display the result of my Procedure. So far it works without problem.
    But the problem is that the Portal displays the text at its own also. As i have written that Portal should not display anything at its own, this doesn't work in this version of Portal for a Custom Item Type that is made using Base Text Item Type. For all others it has worked till now (I have create 50s of Custom item types).
    You can better understand by going to the following URL. Just have a look between the two dotted lines (Dotted line is also a seperate Custom Item Type). Between the two Dotted Lines is a custom item, in general it would be a Custom News Item having title, image and so on.

    I have really programmed a lot with portal but now at this stage where I am near to end, I am getting problems which are coming from Product. I request you for help.
