Custom SOAPAction for Oracle ESB?

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to customize the SOAPAction header that Oracle ESB expects for its endpoints. Thanks!

I assume you mean Outbound from ESB using an ESB SOAP Service. Are you referring to HTTP header or SOAP header? SOAP headers can be manipulated using ESB header support as shown on otn.oracle.com/goto/esb while HTTP headers cannot except for basic authentication using endpoint properties in ESB Control.

  • I need some simple examples to start with for Oracle ESB

    Hi All,
    Please share some simple examples to startwith for Oracle ESB.
    I need to understand, what are the files are created, once created an ESB project.
    What is the use of the files how to edit them with out using JDeveloper.
    Iam trying to create a simple example.
    I would like to create a file which has only "HELLO" in that file, simple text file inside a folder "INPUT" in my c:\ drive.
    I wanted to create a ESB service which picks up the file and add a string to it like "HELLO" + "ESB" and drop this file into "OUTPUT" folder in c:\ drive.
    How do i do that. I tried to do it when i deploy the integration server connection is gettting hit badly. I dont see that connection any more and i dont see that connection in my JDeveloper.
    I dont want to start with existing code.
    Please help

    Hi,
    If you want to do it from scratch you can basically do the following:
    Make sure you have created an application server and integration server connection in JDeveloper.
    1) Create a new JDeveloper project of type ESB project.
    2) Possibly add a ESB System/Group (open the esb file and click "Create System/Group") to group ESB projects.
    3) Create an XML schema describing your input XML file. Probably one element of type xsd:string.
    4) Create an example XML file which is well-formed and valid according to the XSD from step 3.
    5) Create a new File adapter (inbound/read). A routing service is automatically created.
    6) Create a new File adapter (outbound/write).
    7) Create a routing rule in the routing service in which you invoke the write method of the outbound file adapter. Possibly add a transformation using the XSL mapper.
    8) Deploy the ESB project to the server.
    9) Drop your XML file (from step 4) in the directory in which the inbound file adapter is polling.
    10) If it is ok, the file should be picked up, transformed and dropped in the outbound directory. A new ESB instance should be visible in the ESB console.
    See what files are generated on the filesystem in each of the above steps.

  • Have anyone used rejectedMessageHandlers for Oracle ESB 10.1.3.1---urgent

    Hi,
    I am using rejectedMessageHandlers property for Oracle ESB(10.1.3.1).
    I am reading data from a file and writing out the data into another file.I need to implement the following scenario:-
    If it enconters some error in the structure of the file or encountered any error while reading the source file then it will generate a file dumping the error message and the payload.
    For this I have used an endpoing property in "DefaultSystem_Read_RejectionHandler.esbsvc" (the esbsvc file for the File Adapter service for source file).
    *<endpointProperties>*
    *<property name="rejectedMessageHandlers" value="file://C:/jdevstudio10133/jdev/mywork/RejectionHandler/ESBRejectionHandler/reject"/>*
    *</endpointProperties>*
    But the file that is getting generated is "INVALID_MSG_null_Read_20081229_064024_0117.dat" with no data in it.
    Can I use the property rejectedMessageHandlers for version 10.1.3.1 for Oracle ESB?Did anyone tried it out?
    Can anyone also guide me with links or docs regarding usage of RejectedMessageHandler for Oracle ESB and Oracle BPEL.
    thanks

    Thanks Marc.
    I was not able to find the patch on metalink. Could you please give me the patch number specific to only ESB 10.1.3.4 if you have.
    I have the 10.1.3.4 patch number(7272722) for the complete SOA suite.
    Also please comment on adapters part.

  • Tools for Developing/Customizing Forms for Oracle Apps R12.1

    Hi All,
    Could you please help me identify the tools and correct version for developing and customizing Forms for Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1?
    Regards,
    KK

    Also, could you please elaborate your 2nd point regarding template.fmb The Oracle EBS uses a framework. Starting any new (custom) form for the EBS should ALWAYS begin with the template.fmb to ensure your new form has all of the required objects to comply with EBS Forms development standards. You might want to take a look at the Oracle Applications Documentation library. Select your EBS version and then scroll to the Standards section and review the following documents:
    <ul>

  • Periodic Dips in Performance for Oracle ESB

    Hi,
    We have recently been load-testing Oracle ESB, and used the following two flavors for our tests:
    SOA Suite with Oracle Lite as the backend DB
    SOA Suite with Oracle 10g as the backend DB
    We have noticed that there are periodic dips in the performance for both flavors of SOA Suite, and were wondering if any of you had any ideas as to why this might be the case.
    A graph that illustrates the issue can be found here:
    http://www.ushareit.com/view.php/6b9fff3277dcb87ff5c86fca4ed0d762.html
    The "Oracle" line pertains to SOA Suite with Oracle Lite, while "Oracle2" pertains to SOA Suite with Oracle 10g.
    Thanks

    I suggest to run the SOA Suite with Java Garbage Collection on, to verify if those dips can be related to Full-Garbage-Collection. If so you should tune the GC, via setting the heap size parameters of your JVM.

  • How to use a custom KeyManager for Oracles JCBD thin driver

    I am trying to create a java application that uses PKI for authentication. I need to be able to retrieve a certificate from the Microsoft Certificate Store MCS) and pass it along to an Oracle database (11.2). I am connecting using the jdbc:oracle:thin driver. After spending some time googlling it appears that I have to create a custom KeyManager and a custom TrustManager to accomplish this. I am not sure if this is even the correct way to approach the problem, but assuming it is; how do I force the jdbc:oracle:thin driver to use my KeyManager and TrustManager? Also, as stated above the client certificates will be stored in the MCS while the Oracle database will be using a wallet. The database could be running on just about any OS that supports Oracles database which is why I will not be setting up Oracle to use MCS.

  • Using JavaBean in custom form for Oracle Apps

    Dear All,
    i had build a custom form contains JavaBean that enable user to open file dailog . i had built the java class and test it locally on another form it worked fine, but when run the form from the oracle apps nothing happens
    anyone can advise,plz?
    your notes will be appreciated ...
    thanks in advance...
    Moath Abusirdaneh

    Going forward we want to use this form to send information regarding any patches needs to be applied on any of our instances.If some other user select a patch which is already installed on that instance this form will pop up a message saying it's already installed.The purpose of this form is to monitor instance refreshing details.But this is already provided by Oracle through OAM or by querying AD_BUGS table. So, you could create a custom responsibility which contains the patching part only from OAM but this still require a login to the application.
    I do not think you can achieve the above (creating a custom form) without logging to the application -- You may log a SR to confirm this with Oracle support.
    Thanks,
    Hussein

  • Custom transports for Oracle Financials or JD Edwards

    Is anyone aware of a product/plug-in on the market that was built using the ALSB Transport SDK to connect to Oracle Financials or JD Edwards?

    Diego,
    You will need to go further in your setup. I have a few questions.
    1. Are you on World or E1? This post is in the World forum.
    2. What release and tools version are you running?
    3. Once we find this out you need to see if 11g is supported with Oracle MTR's.
    Once we know 11g is supported a simple search on Oracle should get you the documents or even opening a call with them and have them provide this info to you should get you what you are asking.
    IF you are E1 you can find the version by simply looking at the name of the folder on the deployment server (i.e. if you are on 812 the folder will have 812, or if you are on 811 it will show 811). If you need to find the tools release you can check the ptf.log file in the bin32 folder on your deployment server. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

  • Adding custom Adapter information Parameters for Oracle Inbound Telephony

    Hello,
    I am implementing a custom adapter for Oracle Inbound telephony. I need to configure a few information parameters for my custom adapter. I am using the "Adapter Server Info <1-6>" fields on the Call Center html administration page (under the "Middleware" section). But I need to configure more than 6 parameters for my adapter. Does anyone know if we can add more "Adapter Server Info" fields?

    You may explore using a BPEL process to set the so header for calling the web service instead of directly calling it from BPMN process.
    Steps.
    1)Create a BPEL process.
    2)Select the checkbox "Expose as a SOAP service"
    3)In the BPEL process, set the SOAP header parameters that are expected by the called web service.
    Refer section
    6.22.2 How to Send SOAP Headers in BPEL
    of
    Oracle® Fusion Middleware
    Developer’s Guide for Oracle SOA Suite
    11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.3)
    E10224-15
    4)Now in your BPM web service adapter , instead of calling the web service directly, call the web service endpoint of the newly created BPEL process.
    Hope this helps.

  • Domains for Oracle object types

    When I create a domain for a certain Oracle object type there is no way to create some kind of inheritance tree (and there is no discriminator support it seems). On the database level I have several object types that extend a certain base object type. I want to do the same at the BC4J level. But unfortunately this doesn't seem possible. Is there a work-around for it? I don't mind to write a little extra code, any hints or help are appreciated.
    Regards,
    Peter
    P.S.
    It seems the object type / domain support in JDeveloper 9.0.3(.1) isn't quite up there with entities and view objects. It's not even possible to change an attribute name at the Java side using the domain dialog (it's only possible by manually editing the XML and Java files). Will JDeveloper 9.0.4 have broader support for object types / domains?

    I've found a way to implement the inheritance myself, at least a start. I've noticed all custom domains for oracle object types have the static method "getCustomerDatumFactory". In this method (in the base domain class) normally an instance of the base type is returned. I've modified this method so that it returns instances of the different subtypes depending on the value of a certain column. To make this work I first have to edit the Java files of the subtypes and let them extend the base type instead of the Struct class. The factory method looks like this:
    public static CustomDatumFactory getCustomDatumFactory()
        if (fac == null)
          class facClass implements CustomDatumFactory
            public CustomDatum create(Datum d, int sql_type_code) throws SQLException
              if (d != null)
                BaseType b = new BaseType(d);
                if ("subtype1".equals(b.getType())) b = new SubType1(d);
                else if ("subtype2".equals(p.getType())) b = new SubType2(d);
                else System.err.println("Unknown subtype: " + b.getType());
                return b;
              return null;
          fac = new facClass();
        return fac;
      }I also tried to save several of the subtypes in the database in the attribute field (which is of the base type) using setAttribute, this seems to work out-of-the-box. It seems for now I only get this to work if the object type is saved in a column of a certain table, I can't get it to work (yet) for object type tables (see the other recent topic of mine).
    Is this the correct way to implement what I want? Or is there a better way?
    Regards,
    Peter

  • How can I use custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in Weblogic

    Hi There,
    I'm trying to view and search the weblogic log files using WLST on a Solaris/Unix system.
    I have come across this "custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite" and thought of using the custom logging commands to get my task done.
    However, my WLST shell is not recognizing the commands and giving me the NameError!
    wls:/devDomain1/domainRuntime> listLogs()
    Traceback (innermost last):
    File "<console>", line 1, in ?
    NameError: listLogs
    I tried the commands listLogs, displayLogs, getLogLevel & setLogLevel but in vain!
    I have followed the instructions as per the oracle recommendation of using Custom WLST commands (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29597_01/core.1111/e10105/getstart.htm#ASADM10692) as below
    - Launched the WLST shell from Oracle Home.
    cd ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
    ./wlst.sh
    - Tried to run the listLogs command from domainRuntime()
    I would like to know if I need to import any additional libraries to run the custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in my WLST shell?
    I have only weblogic 10.3.1 server installed on my Solaris 10 machine on which I have deployed the OSB application software.
    There is no SOA Suite installed.
    Or is there any other way I can browse the Server Log file and get the list of log messages? Basically I would like to use this feature in my script to customize it according to my requirement of listing specific error logs which I can work it out if I know how to make these commands work.
    Please advise if this is possible and how?
    Cheers.
    Satish

    I have tried on my OSB installation (no SOA Suite here), the command listLogs() works (I was in online mode, after a connect), and the classpath is:
