Custom Warning/Error status on Packages

Hi All,
I'm running a custom Stored Procedure which is then linked to a *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE command in a logic in BPC7 (Microsoft version, SP7). I would like to control the package status from within the stored procedure.
After some tests, I've learned that if I put the string * ERROR * into a new line in the logfile, the package will interprete this as a keyword and correctly set the completion status to Error. I haven't been quite succesful with the warning messages though. I've tried several combinations without success:
WARNING *
Warning : Warning message
etc.
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks,
Ibai Madariaga

Hi Mihaela,
Thanks for your tip. Anyway I've just realized that even when the System Stored Procedures run ( SPRUNCALCACCOUNT, SPRUNCONVERSION, ...) when a warning is happening in the log file, the actual status on the packages is set to Completed. I tried some combinations with the [W] keyword but I'm not sure how to use it.
For the time being, we've agreed that we will show this messages with an error status, even if that implies some additional modifications to the package, i.e. not aborting the following tasks even if the Stored procedure has failed ...
Please, I would appreciate if you pointed me into the correct direction (either if there is some documentation on this) or which steps did you follow to change the status.
Kind regards,
Ibai Madariaga

  • Report ending in warning with status 127 error

    Hi,
    We ran a concurrent report with Print options set for a custom report.
    The report is ending in warning with the below error:
    ------------- 1) PRINT   -------------
    Printing output file.
    Request ID : 356879180
    Number of copies : 1
    Printer : ABSC_5WCC_HP9
    /bin/sh: jforasnd: not found.

    Cause: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from the OSD routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status 127.
    Action: Review your concurrent request log file for more detailed information.
    Please suggest how to overcome this error.

  • Unable to open delivery reports in Exchange 2013 SP1. Gives warning "The status for the recipient can't be determined because of a temporary error. Please try again later."

    This seems to be occurring with all users (have tested a few, all display the same exact error message).
    When I click on "Message Delivery Report" in Outlook 2010 or 2013, it points me to the ECP and displays this message "Warning The status for the recipient can't be determined because of a temporary error. Please try again later." I'm
    not sure which log files to look at. The last time I remember it worked was before I applied SP1, I think CU3.
    Our environment is two servers running Exchange Server 2013 Std. SP1 (847.32) in a DAG.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    From the error description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
    Delivery Reports is a message tracking tool that you can use to search for delivery status on email messages sent to or from users in your organization's address book, with a certain subject. In Exchange 2013, you can track messages for up to 14 days after
    they were sent or received. Please make sure the message you are tracking isn't older than 14 days.
    Here is an article for your reference:
    Track messages with delivery reports

    Hope it helps.

    Hi there,
    Does anyone noes how to force an error status to a DM package. I'm running an execute formulas task that runs a SP and there I check for the work status, then if its locked I write a log message but I'm not able to change the status to Error.
    Thanks in advance,
    Carlos

    Hi Sorin,
    Thanks for your answer,
    Can you tell me how to do that?? I've been checking standard BPC SP in order to see how the raise the error messages but without sucess.

  • MP Installation success or error status: 1603.

    Hi guys,
    I try to install MP role on a new sccm 2012 server. Setup failed, I try:
     - Remove the MP as a site system role (if it is still installed), wait for it to finish
        - Remove IIS completely
        - Reboot the server
        - Stop the Task Scheduler Service
        - Rename the %windir%\Tasks folder to something else (or move it)
        - Start the Task Scheduler Service (this will recreate the %windir%\Tasks folder)
        - Reinstall IIS, BITS, WebDAV
        - Insure BITS and WebDAV are enabled
        - Reinstall the MP
    but still failed.

    Hi,
    If you plan on using DISM to install a .cab file, it is recommended that you use the WUSA.exe tool to extract the files to a directory first.
    Make sure that the permission setting of the temp folder that save the mounted image allows the user to modify.
    Make sure that you run the command lines in a prompt window with Administrator privilege.
    If the issue persists, you’d better consider to change with another image.
    The following operating-system-package servicing options are available for a mounted offline image:
    DISM.exe /image:<path_to_mounted_image_directory> [/Get-Packages | /Get-PackageInfo | /Add-Package | /Remove-Package ] [/Get-Features | /Get- FeatureInfo | /Enable-Feature | /Disable-Feature ]
    The following operating system package servicing options are available for a running operating system:
    DISM.exe /online [/Get-Packages | /Get-PackageInfo | /Add-Package | /Remove-Package ] [/Get-Features | /Get-FeatureInfo | /Enable-Feature | /Disable- Feature ]
    Pay attention to the following please.
    1. You cannot use a network share location as a scratch directory to expand a package (.cab or .msu file) for installation. The directory used for extracting files for temporary usage during servicing must be a local directory.
    2. If subsequent actions are requested, they cannot be processed until the previous pending online action is completed.
    3. If a package is in the “installed requested” state and then you stage the package, the package state is set to “uninstall requested”. This is because it must be uninstalled before it can be staged.
    4. Some packages require other packages to be installed first. Because of this dependency requirement, you should use an answer file if you are installing multiple packages.
    Hope that helps.

    That's strange... it wasn't installed.. although I had never,ever faced a problem while compiling packages via AUR.. maybe, I should be careful when uninstalling orphans.. thanks for the help..

  • Error 8 when starting the extracting the program-data load error:status 51

    Dear all,
    <b>I am facing a data exracton problem while extracting data from SAP source system (Development Client 220). </b>The scenario and related setting are as the flowings:
    A. Setting:
    We have created 2 source system one for the development and another for the quality in BW development client
    1. BW server: SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI 7
    PI_BASIS: 2005_1_700 Level: 12
    SAP_BW: 700 Level:13
    Source system (Development Client 220)
    2. SAP ERP: SAP ERP Central Component 6.0
    PI_BASIS: 2005_1_700 Level: 12
    OS: SunOS
    Source system (Quality Client 300)
    2. SAP ERP: SAP ERP Central Component 6.0
    PI_BASIS: 2005_1_700 Level: 12
    OS: HP-UX
    B. The scenario:
    I was abele to load the Info provider from the Source system (Development Client 220), late we create another Source system (Quality Client 300) and abele to load the Info provider from that,
    After creating the another Source system (Quality Client 300), initially I abele to load the info provider from both the Source system – , but now I am unable to load the Info provider from the (Development Client 220),
    Source system Creation:
    For both 220 and 300, back ground user in source system is same with system type with same authorization (sap_all, sap_new, S_BI-WX_RFC) And user for source system to bw connection is dialog type (S_BI-WX_RFC, S_BI-WHM_RFC, SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW)
    1: Now while at the Info Package : Start data load immediately and then get the
    e-mail sent by user RFCUSER, and the content:
    Error message from the source system
    Diagnosis
    An error occurred in the source system.
    System Response

  • BUG: Warning/Error just refreshing page several times???

    Hi!
    I made a simple page:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.0"
              xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"

            </af:pageTemplate>
          </af:form>
        </af:document>
      </f:view>
    </jsp:root>First time I get a page without any problems (expect standard "WARNING: Header modification request was rejected. Because the setter method was called from included servlet. It is restricted by SRV.8.3 of Servlet Specification 2.4. : current-workspace-app" I'm getting with every single page).
    Then I was just refreshing this page a few times (clicking a refresh button in browser, without doing anything else in page – so no PPRs, actions etc. – so no client events should be produced by my acting beside page refresh).
    After several refreshes, strange WARNING (looking more like error than just warning) appeared in log window:

    Why is this happening? The page renders (apparently) normally, the graph renders as it should, but I'm not sure if the page is going to work correctly because of this warning/error.
    I'm using TP4 on Vista x86, with JDK 1.6u5.
    Anyone, please take a look at this. It may be a bug somewhere...
    Regards,
    PaKo

    Pako,
    the message "java.lang.NumberFormatException: empty String" points to a missing data value. I'll file a bug and ask QA to verify this.

    Hi,
    Is EUROPE a node or a base member in P_CC Dimension?
    Also, can you try commenting out the last WHEN/ENDWHEN. The problem could be that RUNALLOCATION discards all XDIMs hence your second WHEN/ENDWHEN runs on the whole Application.
    If this doesn't help, can you try running it in t/a UJKT replacing all $...$ with values and provide log for allocations?

  • Error executing SSIS packages from Agent

    Hi All,
         I designed SSIS package that loads data from Oracle table to SQl server table along with loading data into Diension and fact tables using SSIS packages only. First I created all SSIS packages that loads data into Staging tables from
    Oracle table in next level loading data into Dimension table and final level is loading data into Fact table. At lasts I created One master package there I'm calling all packages (Execute package task) differently.
    Configuration type: Parent package configuration for All child packages. XML config for parent package.
    When I execute SSIS package from BIDS data is loading up to Fact table. When I execute SSIS packages through Sql server agent ( Using File System Deployment)When I execute SSIS package from Sql server agent it is throwing an error message like

    Hi Praveen,
    The issue may occur if the SQL Server Agent Service Account or Proxy account doesn’t have sufficient permissions. Please create a SQL Server Agent Proxy account that has the permissions to execute the package and perform update operations on the SQL Server
    fact tables.

  • Custom aggregate function inside a package.

    Hi there,
    I'm trying to write a custom aggregate function and group that function inside a package together with some other functions that I have. As an example (to simulate the problem I have) suppose my custom aggregation to do a summation of numbers looks like:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE SUM_AGGREGATOR_TYPE AS OBJECT (
    summation NUMBER,
    STATIC FUNCTION ODCIAggregateInitialize(agg_context IN OUT
    SUM_AGGREGATOR_TYPE) RETURN NUMBER,
    MEMBER FUNCTION ODCIAggregateIterate(self IN OUT SUM_AGGREGATOR_TYPE,
    next_number IN NUMBER) RETURN NUMBER,
    MEMBER FUNCTION ODCIAggregateMerge(self IN OUT SUM_AGGREGATOR_TYPE,
    para_context IN SUM_AGGREGATOR_TYPE) RETURN NUMBER,

    If I write the following function definition:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION MY_SUM(input NUMBER)
    RETURN NUMBER PARALLEL_ENABLE AGGREGATE USING SUM_AGGREGATOR_TYPE;
    and corresponding type declaration to test:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE VECTOR
    IS
    TABLE OF NUMBER;
    this statement:
    select my_sum(column_value) from table(vector(1, 2, 1, 45, 22, -1));
    gives the correct result of 70. However, creating a package with the function definition:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE MY_FUNCTIONS AS
    FUNCTION MY_SUM(input NUMBER)
    RETURN NUMBER PARALLEL_ENABLE AGGREGATE USING SUM_AGGREGATOR_TYPE;
    END;
    and calling it via:
    select MY_FUNCTIONS.my_sum(column_value) from table(vector(1, 2, 1, 45, 22, -1));
    explodes with:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17090], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
    Is it possible to have custom aggregate functions nested inside package declarations?
    I'm using Oracle 11g, Release 2 (11.2.0.1.0).

Your problem is that the database throws ORA-600 on execute. And with ORA-600 you can do 2 things: 1) google ORA-600 17090 or 2) contact your Oracle Support.
    You could also try to declare the function without PARALLEL_ENABLE - just to try to see if it changes anything. You can also try to call your function against a regular table with rows and columns - not against an collection type with table() operator.
    Anyway - these 2 tests should be usefull for Oracle Support.
    I never tried to put a custom aggregate function into a package. First - the cases when you need a custom aggregate function to be written for your system are very rare. Second - even if I needed 1 then I never needed 2 or more custom aggregate functions on my system. And as I do not like to make my life more complex than necessary, I have created it as a stand-alone function. And it is works (slowly).I tried using a standard table as you suggested:
    CREATE TABLE TEST_DATA
    test_value NUMBER
    INSERT INTO TEST_DATA
    (SELECT column_value test_value from TABLE(vector(1, 2, 1, 45, 22, -1)));
    COMMIT;
    select my_sum(test_value) from test_data;
    select my_functions.my_sum(test_value) from test_data;
    I also tried removing the PARALLEL_ENABLE clause to create the package as follows:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE MY_FUNCTIONS AS
    FUNCTION MY_SUM(input NUMBER)
    RETURN NUMBER AGGREGATE USING SUM_AGGREGATOR_TYPE;
    END;
    And unfortunately it still breaks with the following error: SQL Error: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17090]. This looks like an Oracle bug to me as the PL/SQL parsing engine should have disallowed me to even create this if it is not supported in Oracle. Instead, it allows me to create the package, and breaks when I call the function with this weird error (additionally cutting my connection from the database) instead of disallowing me to do this altogether and printing a nice error message telling me that Oracle doesn't support this. How would I go about logging a ticket for this?

  • IDOC ERROR STATUS 4

    Dear ALL,
    When invoice has been sent to the customer I come across the above error status the description of the error is as follows.
    "Trading Partner Not Found in TP XRef Database"
    for this please advice me where to check
    TIA,
    KOGI

    Use transaction WE20 to check on the Trading Partners and the Outbound paramaters of the current TP.
    If the trading partner is found then check that message type INVOIC is setup for the TP.
    Thanks,
