Custom WorkCenter Layout for Packing

Hi All
At my client place, warehouse worker works with handheld scanner & keyboard to perform packing operation during shipping process. Standard EWM provided packing screen either the the workcenter or pack in ODO is not fitting here. The reasons are
Pack in ODO:
Items & HUs of current delivery only visible.
Difficult to add items of another delivery to the same HU.
WorkCenter Screen:
Above two issues are not there here but he needs mouse instead of scanner.
Since shipping need to fast (generally it is) searching for each item in bin and dragging & dropping into HU will be difficult.
Does SAP provides any customizable layout or add-ons etc. for packing workcenter for easy scan&pack?

Yes EWM provides extra screen at header and item level.
check WC layout customization in that you can find extra screen flags. if u flag extra screen will appear and with the help of technical consultant u can built same as per your requirement.
for RF press ctr+shift+ F1 on the RF screen on dextop and find program and screen no and enhance as it require.

Custom window layout for Motion

I'm working with FCP 4.5 and I have lot's of motion (scale/rotate..) on my current project.
I'm trying to create a custom window layout where I would have the motion replacing the timeline, but I can't get it to work. The saved layout always brings up the motion for the clip that was open when I saved the layout, not the one I'm working on.
What would be an easy way to switch to motion view of current clip in viewer, without having to click on tabs and dragging windows?

You can have multiple Viewers open. I do that often when I have complicated effects in play. But there really isn't a way to do what exactly what you want, AFAIK.

Layout for packing list cannot be set for specific customers

It is not possible to set an standard layout for the packing list for specific customers. So, if you have layouts in different languages, you have to check the standard layout every time before you print and to set the right one. In other documents it is possible to set an standard layout for specific customers/suppliers for example depending on the language.

Custom page layouts for iPhoto books- bleeds and type

I've been digging through the forum for info on creating custom page layouts. I have the basics: print PDF (to capture the page BG and graphics elements), manipulate in PhotoShop and place the custom page as a full page photo.
How does iPhoto deal with bleeds? Since I'm trying to recreate the style of the other pages I'd like it to match.
Is all type in an iPhoto book rasterized? The printed PDF retains type. Will rasterized type in PS layouts match "native" text in iPhoto?
I haven't purchased a book yet and I'm wondering if the book is sent to Apple as a PDF with vector data. If that's the case can custom pages be inserted into the PDF with vector type intact?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I don't know much about bleeds but you can manipulate it in the iPhoto preference file with Pref Setter.
Regarding the rasterized type, you'll have to give it a try and then create a pdf of the book to check it out. In iPHoto 5 we used to be able to get a copy of the pdf file that was uploaded to Apple but in V6 that's not possible. I think the pdf file may be the same as we get when creating it via Print to PDF. Here's the info I received from Apple about book quality and materials:
I contacted Apple and asked for information that I could pass on. Here's the reply I received from Apple:
"Thank you for contacting the Apple Print Products Customer Service.
I understand that you would like to know the printing process that is used and the color mode the files should be in, so you can better advise users in the iPhoto forum.
iPhoto version 4 or later, allows you to import and print files through the Apple Print Product service as RGB, grayscale, or CMYK color space. JPEG files with RGB color space are recommended for best results.
While iPhoto 2 can import files of various formats, including RGB color, grayscale, and CMYK, this version requires JPEG files with RGB color space when printing photos and books.

Here are some of the technical specifications for the books, cards, and calendars. I hope this gives you an idea about their quality and form.
BOOKS
All iPhoto books are printed using acid-free paper for long-lasting image quality. The photos are printed at a high resolution (300DPI if you use iPhoto 6). There is no external modification--such as sharpening or contrast adjustment--of the photos; what you see in the application is what is printed in the book.
Hardcovers Books
The cover is hard-bound and covered in linen. You select the linen color during the book-ordering process. The hardcover books have a solid, stiff binding that is glued and crimped. The internal pages, measuring 8.5 x 11 inches, are printed on McCoy 100# Text Gloss paper stock.
Softcover Books
The softcover books come in three sizes:
- Large 8.5 x 11 inches
- Medium 6 x 8 inches
- Small 2.6 x 3.5 inches
All of the softcover books have internal pages that are printed on McCoy 100# Text Gloss paper stock. The large softcover book has a white cover (Kromekoteplus Folding Cover, 16 point) with a cutout on the front that reveals the cover-page photo in the book. The covers for the medium and small softcover books have the cover image and title printed directly on the cover. All of the softcover books have a glued binding and feature a thick cover of McCoy 100# Cover Gloss paper stock.
CARDS
All cards are printed on McCoy 120# Silk Cover paper stock. The postcards measure 4 x 6 inches, and the greeting cards measure 5 x 7inches.
CALENDARS
All calendars measure 8 x 10 inches and are printed on McCoy 100# Silk Cover paper stock.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. How to add a custom Text Layout for a wiki page

I don't wish to use the ones already present in the gallery. They do not meet my requirements. Therefore, I want to create/design my own screen layout for the responsive HTML5 output. Please let me know the steps to do so. How to create a SLZ file, what is the code that I need to write. What are the components that I need to create to have a complete screen layout to be used in a responsive HTML5 output.

That would require inline formatting and I doubt that is an option.
If I am following you, the header area is full width of the screen so I cannot see how it can be broader, Perhaps you mean deeper? A screenshot might help here. The change would be made in the layout.css file.
That would be a change in the layout.css.
I suspect that too is controlled by the layout.css.
To make the changes you would have to go into the layout.css and modify that. As you will see, it is a very complex CSS and that is why I said creating you own layout is not easy. Hopefully when Willam is available again, he may be able to give you some more specific information.
I think Willam will confirm that if you cannot read the existing CSS to make those changes, then creating your own skin would be beyond your capabilities. Please do not take any offence there, I am simply emphasising how complex a task it is to create a skin from scratch. It's not one I would take on.

Can I create a completely custom page layout for a book, positioning and sizing pictures and text?

I'd like to create a totally custom page, inserting photos at various locations and sizes as well as text regions. Can this be done? I haven't been able to find a way to do this.

I've found it's worthwhile spending time fiddling and adjusting Lightroom's templates and saving to Custom Pages but I haven't found a way of removing a custom page layout once I've finished using it or tweaked it some more. Can you say how to remove one, please, johnbeardy? I can put them in and out of Favourites but the Custom Pages list just gets too long.

Web app: Custom List Layout for WebApp Search Results

I am quite familiar with creating additional .tpl list layouts and using them.
Question though, is it possible to have a WebApp search form return results using a custom layout as opposed to the list or list_backup views i.e. customize the following:

Unable to see "New from Par" option while creating Custom portal layout

Hi All,
I am unable to see "New from Par" option in Content Administrator. I am trying to create a custom page Layout for which I am need create layout using new par file. I am not able to see this menu option. Does anyone know from where to enable this option?

There is no option like "new from par" from ep 7.
Create an iview based upon portal components.

Custom package layout problem when there are more than 6 pages

When I add a seventh page to a custom package layout for printing whatever changes that are made to that page take affect on page 1 not on page 7, i.e. if a I rotate a cell on page 7 the affect is not seen on page 7 but it is on page 1 which messes up the layout on page 1, and if I add an eighth page any changes made to it are seen on page 2 and so forth. How do I prevent this so changes made to pages after page 6 are independent of the earlier pages?

There are a number of Bugs in Firefox that can cause that to happen. A few of those Bugs have been fixed for Firefox 4.0, but the developers decided not to "backport" those fixes to 3.6.x or 3.5.x for some reason.

Custom Keyboard Layouts

so i happen to be working with fonts mapped in the Private Use Area of unicode. i have a custom keyboard layout for those fonts and they display properly in every application i've tried except for illustrator (don't know about other adobe software). in illustrator i just get the big square symbol for when a character is missing. i tried typing in other apps and then pasting in illustrator and i get the same missing symbols.
is this a limitation of illustrator or am i doing something wrong? i also can't enter the characters by using the Glyphs palette. all the characters show up but when i double click a character it types as missing, or gets replaced by a different character not in my font set.
any help would be appreciated.

Looks like some key codes are different. Here I fixed the "\ and |" key using the code 100 instead 82 (used by Linux).
Now everything works, except the "/ and ?" key (identified by 89 in Linux) and the � (I'll check the portugal layout for it)

Can 'Available section' in Field layout for account page layout renamed ?

I have created custom page layout for 'Account ' where in I have added some custom fields for capturing more specific data of account.
I would like create 'Account installed data' simillar headers available as 'Key Account Information:','Account Sales Information' in account page layout.Is there any possibility of renaming 'Available section'?

santoshpatil, click on Account Layout, then just to the right of Edit you see a down arrow click on it then choose "Edit Sections".

Importing Crystal Report layout for customer statements

Hello,
I have imported a crystal report layout to use for the customer statements when running them from the ageing report. The problem is even if we only select one business partner in the ageing report, when we print preview the statement it displays statements for all business partners - this is because in the crystal report there are no parameters. I know that when you import a layout like this for other documents you need to use for example, {ORDR.DocEntry}={DocKey@} as the parameter however the customer statements don't have a docentry. When I look at the system statement layout (collection layout), when you run the report you get an ADO.NET (XML) connection prompt. Is it possible to use the crystal layout i have for the customer statements but for only the customer(s) showing on the ageing report?

you want an overview of open invoices from 1 customer.
If so, try this in crystal reports :
Create a parameter field (field explorer)
Name : CardName
Type : String
Value : Static
do not select a value field (none)
press ok.
Select expert
Create new
Starts with
type this : {?CardName}
press add
Click formula editor and make it look like this :
{OINV.DocStatus} = "o" and
{OINV.CardName} startswith {?CardName}

Wrong default layout for a new customer

Hi all,
I hope somebody can share inputs with regards to this issue.
I'm assigning a default layout to one customer group (layout1 for all Group1). When this was done, a list of customer codes were included in the list and each were ticked from that list.
Second layout called layout2 for the setting 'Set &as Default for all BPs (for Whom a Default Layout Has Not Been Assigned).
Scenario: A new customer code is created belonging to Group1.
Issues:
            a. This new customer code does not automatically follow the setting on default layout which is layout1. When the layout1 default setting was double
                 checked, the new customer code was part of the list, but it was not ticked.
            b. When document was previewed, it uses the wrong layout2.
            c.   The user still has to update the layout1 default setting, ticking the tick box from the list for the new customer code, then clicking update in then
                  layout designer window.
Question: Is this a normal behaviour of the system? I thought that setting it as default for certain customer group will be applicable even to newly created ones under that group.

I am afraid that it is your SAP B1 version current behavior but you may check using demo database. What is your SAP B1 version anyway ? what is your database localization ?

Cause
A template has been defined as default for all users, when previewing this it is not the template which has been set as default for document.
Solution
In order to change to a different default template for all users and all business partners please do the following:
a) "Set as default for specified Business Partner" and "set as default for current user"
b) Add tick for this Business Partner
c) Update by ticking again the specific Business Partner
d) Change set as default for all users and all Business Partner's

Custom Layout for FBL1N (Open Vendor Items)

Hi All,
I would like to create a custom layout for the List Output. Currently there is only options as to display the Standard Local currency, I would like to include the value for the Document Currency (Transaction Currency) as well. Does anyone have come across this before? Thanks.

Hi,
Creating a layout for any report is very easy.
Go to TCODE FBL1N, in the output screen, below the menu options, you will find few buttons. you will find the button select layout, click on any one layout, and then click on the button select fields and copy the hidden fields from the select fields option, add the fields you wish to add and then save the layout with a new name. Or you can also go through menu options - Settings ==> Special Fields - Include your special fields from the available tables. (This is cross client configuraiton)
