Customer service doesn't seem to want to help!

Rang customer service, got through after 15 minute wait.  Did the usual pantomine asking about phone and line status, and the rep asked to ring me back on my mobile, which he did.  At which point he had me open the OpenReach connection box to get at the test socket, and plug the landline phone into that for a new line test. At which point we got cut off (I'll be generous here)...I waited, and waited...no call back.   So I rang the Customer Service number again, was told it would be a 10 minute wait...waited for 30 minutes and gave up. In the meantime, my "broadband" speed is 500K (strangely enough it is 700K upstream, which hardly makes sense at all)....I have rebooted the router, swapped the ADSL filter...and nothing improves.    

Thanks for posting your stats(the picture took a while to be approved).I can see your noise margin at 17db is alot higher than it should be,Sky's target s 7db or less.The excess noise will be causing your slower speeds,do you have any noise(crackling,hissing or ticking) on your line when making or recieving calls?

    Well you can plug it into itunes and under summary tab hit RESTORE. This should fix any software issues that you may be experiencing. About gamepass, I dont know, I dont have it. Siri is not on the IPAD2. Only on the 3rd generation Ipad, so you wont have it(going by ipad2 under your name).

  • Anybody that I add to my bbm service doesn't seem to get any request to be added nor do I get one when they add me

    I need some help guys, I have a BB 8320 Vodafone which was from the UK and the person that I took it from unlocked the phone and passed it on to me now. I have a few issues with the BBM service. 
    I have recently activated my BBM service by choosing a particular plan that my carrier offers, and I have noticed that the edge now can be seen in uppercase which means the service has been activated and should work. But, anybody that I add to my bbm service doesn't seem to get any request to be added nor do I get one when they add me. I have been facing this problem with my BBM and I am not sure how to go about it. 
    I need a few clarifications first and foremost, when a BB 8320 phone is unlocked does it mean the phone has been unlocked so other carrier sim cards work or all the feature on the BB 8320 phone unlocked. Secondly, considering i'm in a situation like this, what should I be doing to resolve this issue at the earliest, do I go to a technical desk guy and ask them to re-install the Black Berry OS on to my phone all over again or do I just throw away this piece of **bleep** that BB has created? 
    And could anybody let me know doesn't BB have a universal software that let people put any sim card and work rather than have carrier specific software? Please need help really bad on this one!!
    I would really appreciate if some body can help me out in resolving this issue with your comments.

    Is this new?.
    Will it ever create proxy media.?
    Or is that only for like 4K cameras?
    I used to create proxy media for everything I shot which is 1080.

    My two Canon Vixias shoot AVCHD and my Canon DSLR shoots in .mov format.
    I usually import all that I'm going to edit and then choose create proxy media.
    10.1 did not create proxy media nor does it seem to when I ask it too.
    Maybe with improvements, it doesn't feel a need, but before working in proxy improved the editing process and I'd just switch back to optimized media for output.

  • Verizon Customer Service poorly trained or just want to make it hard to reduce bill.

    I have five lines with Verizon on my account. Two of the lines were no longer under contract as of the start of August. So call customer service and requested to have the $25 discount applied to each line which I was told would be reflected on my next bill. I should mention that I was on hold for a long time before being connected with a rep. My bill comes in in September and the discount had not been applied which meant I was being charged $50 more than I should be. Once again I call into customer service and wait over ten minutes just to be connected with a rep. Once connected the representative has a hard time figuring out what has happened and puts me on hold many times. After over 20 mins I am finally told that she will issue a credit (which did happen) and I will see the changes on my next bill. Well I just got my October bill and of course the discounts on the two lines once again are not there. So again I call customer service wait over 5 minutes to be connected and the representative reviews my account and reads me twice a generic statement regarding the discount that makes absolutely no sense. I asked her what that statement had to do with me not getting the discount applied and she said she was just reading a note on my account. She then went silent for several minutes. At that point I just hung up.
    I am a Sales Manager and if my company provided this type of customer service and mishandled billing/account changes to this extent I know I would be losing business. So I ask, being that the other mobile providers have more attractive plans from a cost standpoint and their overall product  has improved why should I stay with Verizon now that I am not in a contract.
    Are there really any compelling reasons to stay with Verizon? I know my time in very valuable and having to call repeatedly to ask Verizon to correct their mistakes does not show me they value retaining business. I am thinking that Verizon only wants the customers that are under contract or penny up for a new phone every 1-2 years.

    So I am in the very same boat.  Moved from a new apartment buidling with fiber to my apartment to an old condo.  I think they should call this Fake Fios.  So I have this VDSL modem now and a Quantum Router (the later a waste of money, I think, at $10/mo.  )   I wonder if I could plug in my old Netgear router and save $10/month?
    I actually was getting 29 down and 4.9 up.  But unfortunately, within a day of install, the VDSL modem started loosing sync intermittently,  Seem to go in spurts.  Everything works fine for 30-40 minutes, the sync light starts flashing for 1-2 minutes then it comes back. During the loss of synch, of course I have no internet.  It is almost as if there is noise on the copper pair between my apartment and the telco closet on my floor.  I have not opened a ticket yet because I had to go out of town for 10 days the day after install. Will call it in when I get back. 
    Another oh-by-the way.   There is only one coax between the central closet and my rental condo.  So if you use it for Fios TV, you can't use the building's over the air master antenna feed for the bedroom. 
    I got a good deal on the condo. But will not rent a old place again.  Got really spoiled by the 80/80 up/down in my old place. 
    I will go without internet and TV before I use Comcast.  The worst customer service on the planet. Thank God their merger with TWC was nixed.

    First of all, let me say that i am not a iPhone or Mac developper although i'm a super good programmer that knows lots of languages (c/c++, java, c#, php, vb, vb.net, etc)
    I was tasked to add a screen to an iphone app that asks for user acceptance of terms and then store the acceptance into the phone. I'm not even at the storage part yet, i'm all lost in that objective C thing... What kind of programming language is that... lol
    Anyway, i tried my best and am able to open a view that was already existant in the system as the application starts. The same view, i duplicated it and renamed all its files, identifiers in the .h and .m file to a new name. I scoured the source code of the app to add the different variables or properties just as the previous view had been added to the app.
    Compile, works, view never shows up... maybe i messed up something, try the older view i tried at first, still works... strange.
    Here is a bit of code:

    This portion of code doesn't work, but if i change "agreementView" for "hmView" it works fine and shows the view called HmView. The app compiles completly and works in all cases, its just the agreementView that never shows up.
    Can you help me with this at all? Do i need to post anything else. Please keep in mind that i thought it would be super simple to do this and finaly, it's taken me 3h already to simply create a view and recompile the code.

An instance of the UIAlertView class is used just like a Windows "MessageBox" to display a message and wait for the user to respond. So an alert view would be good for obtaining a "yes" or "no" answer from the user. Of course, if the agreement screen needs to present the text of an agreement, much like the contract presented during an app installation, I guess you'd need a new full-screen view.
    ... if i use the new view i have created (from a copy of the one that works) and i adapt all the identifiers in the different copied files, then the app still compiles, but the reference to the view variable doesn't seem to work.
    Here's an example of how to bring up a modal view that covers the root view at startup:

The example is working, tested code which doesn't require any work in Interface Builder. Be sure to cut and paste directly from the forum to the source file. At this point you don't need to lose a day or two tracking down a syntax error.

    Hello, I have a Skype (Baddieisboss) which I have used for over 2 years to run a business. I have accumulated over 5000 contacts throughout the 2 years which were customers and potential customers. Today I woke up, my Skype was logged off and it had said I had been blocked from using Skype. I contacted customer support and they told me I was suspended permanently for solicitation (breach of paragraph 6.3 (c) of the Terms of Use which prohibits the use of the Skype software to send unsolicited communications). I dug into this issue a bit more because I have never spammed anyone for any reason and found out that there was a huge loop hole that people are taking advantage of to close down Skype accounts with ease. All it takes is to make a few fake Skype accounts, add the person and use the report abuse function. The person doesn't even have to accept your friend request for you to do this. Customer service gives you automated messages saying it will not be reversed and to make a new account. Their automated system is very flawed and needs to be addressed as soon as possible. There are many other posts of people who are having the same issue. Russians add you, tell you to pay X amount of money or they will have your account banned, and voila 10 minutes later you're offline.I have tried to contact the skype email several times, they send automated messages and don't care about their customers at all, please help.
