Customize date format in importer??

I just recently purchased PhotoShop Elements after years of using Google's Picasa to manage and organize my photo collection.  The Picasa uploader formatted the subfolder names as YYYY-MM-DD to include the dashes.  I now have over 500 folders formatted in this manner.  The Elements uploader appears to only use the YYYY MM DD format without the dashes.  Before I go and manually remove the dashes to maintain continuity, does anybody know if there is a way to force the dashes into the sub folder names in Elements???

Thanks a bunch.  With that in mind, I found a freeware utility called Rename Master that let me set the proper parameters and change all the dashes to spaces in one big batch operation.  It probably saved me eight hours of manually changing folder names!!!!!

  • SSIS 2012 is intermittently failing with below "Invalid date format" while importing data from a source table into a Destination table with same exact schema.

We migrated Packages from SSIS 2008 to 2012. The Package is working fine in all the environments except in one of our environment.

But when we reorder the column in "Updated" in Destination table, the package is importing data successfully.
This looks like bug to me, Any suggestion?

    Hi Mohideen,
Based on my research, the issue might be related to one of the following factors:
Memory pressure. Check there is a memory challenge when the issue occurs. In addition, if the package runs in 32-bit runtime on the specific server, use the 64-bit runtime instead.
A known issue with SQL Native Client. As a workaround, use .NET data provider instead of SNAC.
    Hope this helps.

  • Date Format For Importing Invoices

    Hi All,
I am using the DTW and importing invoices however I am having a problem with the date.  In the docdate, and docduedate field I have entered my dates however once I import them the date for the invoices I have imported are todays date.  Have I missed a field where I should enter other dates or is my date format perhaps wrong?
Date formats that I have tried are ddmmyyyy, mmddyyyy, yyyyddmm, yyyymmdd.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,
The right format is YYYYMMDD. The dates you are trying to import, are they future or past dates? Under Administration -> Document Settings are the 'Block documents with earlier posting date' and 'Allow future posting date' tickboxes checked?
    Regards,
    Nat

  • Wrong date format when import CSV files

When you import a CSV file that contains fields with German date formats, these fields are displayed incorrectly.
Example: Contents of the CSV file "01.01.14". After importing the corresponding cell in Numbers has the content "40178".
A reformat the cell to a date format is not possible.
How do I get the date in the new version of Numbers displayed correctly?

It seems that there are more than a few problems related to import/export with non-US localizations.
I, personally, don't have a solution to your problem. I started to adjust my Language & Region settings to test your problem but it was several settings, I didn't get it right, and I didn't want to mess up my computer so I set everything back to US/English.
The only workarounds I can suggest are
Insert a new column into your table and in it put a formula that adds the number to the date 01.01.1904.  Or,
Edit the CSV in TextEdit to Replace All "." with "/".  This will work if "." is used for nothing else but these dates.
I recommend the second one if it will work for you. Hopefully Apple is addressing problems such as the one you are seeing.

  • Date format not imported

    Hi,
I'm trying to import a date dimension from a SQL table. The problem is that the when importing directly into Power Pivot, the date format from the date base turns into a text format and the sorting is not the same as in the data base.
Using Power Query instead, everything looks ok in the Power Query window and the data type and sorting is correct, and when loading the data to Power Pivot or an Excel table the format seems to be correct, but not the sorting, even when I
set the sorting in Power Query. Why is that? Shouldn't the sorting be the same when the data is loaded? And why is the format not correctly imported to Power Pivot when not using Power Query?
I have windows 7 with Swedish as locale and office 2013 professional plus and I have the latest version of Power Query installed.

Yes, I tried to set the data type to date in Power Pivot and that works, was just surprised that Power Pivot don't import the format and sort order from the date base. Would be a nice feature.
Curt, I assume this is what you mean?
    let
        Source = Sql.Databases("XXXXXX"),
        SLAMJunc = Source{[Name="XXXXX"]}[Data],
        dbo_DimDate = XXXXXX{[Schema="dbo",Item="DimDate"]}[Data],
        SortedRows = Table.Sort(dbo_DimDate,{{"Date", Order.Ascending}})
    in
        SortedRows
Also, the data type is set to Date in Power Query but when I load the data into Power Pivot it is shown as Date/Time. Non of this is a big thing and it is easy to handle, just slightly annoying when I didn't get the result I was expecting.

  • Possible to change date format when importing files into Aperture 3

Just wondering if it is possible to change the format of the date from YYYY-MM-DD to YYYYMMDD when you rename files as they are imported into Aperture 3? I typically rename my files and insert my initials, date the photo was taken, sequence number, camera used and original file name. When I do this in Aperture 3, the date format used includes dashes. I would like to have the file renamed without the dashes in the date. Is this possible?

You should be able to edit the format in the import presets. I have done this for folder stucture of imports, I believe you can do the same for the file renaming. At the bottom of the drop down box for file naming at improt should be an edit option which brings up the import naming presets, select the "YYYY-MM-DD" and remove the dashes.

  • How to modify Bridge CS6 default sub-folder date format while importing?

How could I modify Bridge CS6 default sub-folder date format when we are importing images from a connected camera? Default format for shooting date is aaaammjj. I would like instead aaaa_mm_jj. How could I add "_" to the date format?

You only can do so after the import process using a third party app called A better finder Rename,  originally designed for Mac but they seem to have a Windows version also:

  • Setting date format for import

I have a CSV file that has approx. 600 entries in it.  2 of these fields are dates in the format mm/dd/yyy and mm/dd/yy.  The problem is that the import function treats them as dd/mm/yyyy or dd/mm/yy.
Is there any way to tell the import routine what format the date fields are in?

    1. Straight from the documentation ([DROP TABLESPACE|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14117_01/server.101/b10759/statements_9004.htm|DROP TABLESPACE]):
Oracle Database removes from the data dictionary all metadata about the
tablespace and all datafiles and tempfiles in the tablespace. The
database also automatically drops from the operating system any
Oracle-managed datafiles and tempfiles in the tablespace. Other
datafiles and tempfiles are not removed from the operating system
unless you specify INCLUDING CONTENTS AND DATAFILES.

  • Date format for import sub-folder destination

    Greetings,
I have been using a trial version of LR 4 and would like to know if LR can use the format of "MM-DD-YY" for the subfolder of the destination folder.
My many years of files are organized by the "YYYY" top folder then "MM-YY" then by date of shooting, "MM-DD-YY" within the corresponding month.
Is this possible or must I continue to rename the folders after import?
    Thank you.
    Joe

Not that format, no. All of LR's date-based organising schemes generally are in the format YYYY-MM-DD or some variant of that. Have a look at the options in the Destination section of the Import screen and you'll find these options:

  • Customize Date Format

Do any of you know how I can display (in .asp) a customized
date string (from ms Access database) to display without having the

    string. I just want - December 17 - to display. Because I don't
understand the code I have used
Below is a link to what this section of the web page looks

year they were input into the database.
    Here is an

  • Date format in Team Development

    Hi,
Is it possible to customize date format in interactive reports being a part of Team Development? It is preset to MM-DD-YYYY.
    Cheers
    Arek

    Hi Arek,
not that I'm aware of. But you could try to define your own column with "Action > Format > Compute" and use
    TO_CHAR(XX, 'DD-MON-YYYY')Just an idea.

  • Migration of web provider customization data

I am now using portal 9.0.2.3 in windows 2000 server
It is my understanding that exp/imp of web providers and its customization data is not supported in portal.
I have logged a TAR in metalink and the analyst said the I have to migrate the preference store from development to testing environment and I am using db preferencestore in my development environment.
The question is when I register the provider in production environment, a new provider id and path are given, what is the procedure to resume the customization data after I imported the preference store.
    John Lui

The import/export of web provider customization data is not currently available.

  • Can I customize the date format?

When importing camera raw files, I am able to select mmm/dd/yyyy as an option in the photo downloader. Once the files are in Bridge, if I want to batch rename, the date option does not include mmm(the month spelled out instead of numeric). Is there a way to customize the date format in the batch rename menu?
    Thank you

You can always include it in the name if you select Text.

  • Image date/time format for import naming

When naming images with the image date & time during import, it uses the format of YYYY-MM-DD HHMMSSAP
Is it possible to reconfigure this so
    1) the space in between the date and time is gone
    2) the hyphens in the date are gone
    3) it uses 24 hour time not am/pm?
I didn't see anything in the preferences, nor did I see anything appropriate in the plist.
Unfortunately using that format and then exporting an image from it for the web leaves it with an ugly file name that needs manual editing - I hate seeing URLs with a %20 in them because of spaces in file names.
    Chris

Although I agree that I would like more ability to customize the date and time format (Have you seen the renaming feature in Graphic Converter? It's great!), there is a quick workaround for at least eliminating the space in the name:
    1. Open the name format editing window by selecting Edit from the name format pull-down.
    2. Select Image Date/Time.
    3. Look in the Format field. See how the two ellipses with Date and Time are separated by a little space? That's actually a space character and can be edited.
    4. Put the cursor in that field and replace the space with whatever character you want (like _ for instance).
    5. Now filenames will look like: 2006-04-03_121212PM which is a bit better.
    6. And Aperture very cooly remembers this edit, so on the net import you only have to select Image Date/Time from the pull-down and you still have you edit.
Now, what I want to do is get rid of the -'s in the date and have the time be 24hour format. Sequential and unique names that are as short as possible!
