Customizing CO class on site level is not taking effect

Hello,
I extended a CO class and changed the region "Controller Class" on Site level from "Inherit" to my newly created class
But the personalization is not taking effect when i run the page; any idea why?

will give the personalization availble for your page, then get the details using,
begin
jdr_utils.printDocument('output of the above query');
end;
Make sure the above script is giving your controller in place and see what level your contoller is attached.

I have changed below code in the implementation to send langauge[iuser_language] to backend. But the hardcoded value is not shown in the backend debug mode of RFC: CRM_WEC_REGISTER_CONSUMER.

11g Catalog Permissions not taking effect

I am having an issue with the selected permissions not taking effect as they should. The major issue with this is that users that have been assigned to application roles that are assigned the 'Open' permission type are able to delete that same folder. Basically users that are only supposed to view objects in a folder now have access to delete that entire folder, despite inheriting application roles that have been set to only open that folder. This is only occurring at the Shared Folders level of the catalog, so as you can tell this could be a major issue if a user was to accidentally delete the entire shared folder structure. Further down in the catalog tree the permissions are acting properly. We have a folder with all of our GL reports that is secured in the same fashion, and the permissions work as intended there.
Is it possible that there is some kind of root level permission that is overriding what we have set up at the Shared Folders' permission level?

How are you packaging the files? If you use a .zip archive, the copies created when they unzip the archive should have the correct permissions.
And by the way, repairing permissions won't do anything with items in a user account.

Classic Report - Column Conditions Not taking Effect when Changing Pagination

DB Version: 11g Release 11.2.0.3.0
Hi,
I have a classic report that has some columns that conditional hide/show depending upon the value of a page item. When the report is first displayed with the first pagination set(Rows 1-100), the columns display as they should.
When moving to the next pagination set(Rows 101-200), the columns no longer display as they should and it seems that the condition is not taking effect. Partial Page Refresh is set to 'Yes' for the report.
Any ideas on why this might be occurring?

Assuming you mean that columns are rendered while you expect them not to.
Are the conditions based on page items.
It could be that the session state of those items is different between when the page is first rendered and when de refresh due to the pagination is done.
See if adding the in the condition used page items to the page items to be submitted for the region helps.
Others wise see if you can replicate the issue on apex.oracle.com so we can see what you mean.

Group Policy - User Rights Assignments not taking effect on workstation`

Novell 5.1 SP7. ZenWorks 3.2 sp3. Windows XP Pro workstations.
In Group Policy, (Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security
Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignment), I have added Power Users to
the "Load and Unload device drivers" policy. However this setting is not
taking effect on my Windows XP workstations. My DLU policy for users is
configured to have the users members of the "Users" and "Power Users" groups
on the local PC.
Other parts of Group Policy (Computer Policy/Administrative Templates) are
taking effect on the workstation, so I'm wondering if the problem I am
having is related to Security Settings only.

Changes to php.ini not taking effect

I'm running Leopard 10.5.8 with the Apple-supplied versions of PHP (5.2.10) and Apache (2.2.11). Changes made to the /etc/php.ini file are not taking effect after stop/start of Apache. phpinfo() and shell command php -i confirm the 'status quo'. The php.ini file permissions are 444 with root/wheel ownership. It was copied from the php.ini.default file that came with the php distribution. Here's what I'm trying to change - seems pretty like this should be pretty basic stuff:
include_path = ".:/usr/local/some_directory"

magicquotesgpc = Off

I've been all over the php.net website and cannot identify my error. Shouldn't the changes to the php.ini file should be interpreted immediately after restarting Apache?
Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Suggestions for fixing this malfunction would be greatly appreciated. I know I can hard code workarounds into my PHP code but that really defeats the whole purpose of even having a php.ini file....

Was able to successfully implement these changes on a different Mac OSX 10.5.8 system. Different architecture (1st system is MBP, 2nd system is MB) although each system has all software updates installed and is up-to-date. Copied php.ini file from MB to MBP and problematic settings were corrected. Ran /developer/applications/utilities/filemerge.app to check for differences between the two php.ini files. Found one (line 305):
Failing entry: error_reporting = E_ALL
Working entry: error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE
I took out E_NOTICE to help with debugging as per instructions from php.net/manual/en/errorfunc.configuration.php
Go figure....

Changes is special conversion routine not taking effect

I changed a special conversion routine specified in a conversion rule(BD79) with a rule type copy sender field.
I made the required changes to the function module CONVERSION_EXIT_&_OUTPUT and activated it but still the outbound Idoc suggests that the changes are not taking effect.
Can someone suggest what may be the reason for this?

Yes, Actually after looking into the problem some more it looks like the
changes are taking effect. The only problem that we are having is that
the start bar does not appear when the user log in and no drives are
showing up under windows explorer. I checked the policy and we did not
configure the section under windows explorer so i am not sure why the
drives are not showing. Also I am not sure why the start bar does not
appear.

Yes.
If the query in that form doesn't return any rows then start disassembling the SQL to see where rows are being dropped/filtered at. Is q1 and q2 returning what you think? How's that compare to d.d_nm? Is the outer select/from finding the rows you want found? Is your d.xmlcol.extract('//c/R/val/text()').getStringVal()) returning what you think it should (put it as a column in the SELECT statement)?
Without knowing more about your tables and data, that's the best I can offer. Start simplifying your SQL to see where if filters out the data you expect to see.

Item created at site level can not be seen in other responsibilities

Hi,
I've made changes to one of the iProcurement pages.
I added an item (type : Tip) at the site level . The context is as follows:
scope : page
site : include
organization : A
responsibility : B
The Tip item's rendering properties are as follows:
Site : True
Organization : Inherit
Responsibility : Inherit
Now, I go to another responsibility C and when I looked for this item, it can't be seen.. The item could not even be searched in the personalizations page.
The context for this as follows:
scope : page
site : include
organization : D
responsibility : C
I just want to know that when an item created at site level should be seen by all the responsibilities right?
why is that it is not getting displayed here?

I could clearly see that the item got created at site level.
The function in the context window is left blank.

responsibility : B
I could see the item in the B responsibility.
But when I go to some other responsibility ( with a different organization), I could not see the item.
This page I'm talking about is NonCatalogShoppingPG (iProcurement).

Personalization - Site level, and not able to see it a resp level

I have added 2 new fields i.e. Field A and Field B to an Oracle seeded page at Site Level using Personalization. Based on the type of responsibility, I want to render one field at a time. I wanted to do this using responsibility level personalizations. However, I do not see these 2 fields when I try to personalize at responsibility level. What could be the issue?

Fields will be created at site level through personalization ,it will appear for all the responsibility ,once u will go to a page using a particular responsibility ,again you personalize the field and can set the rendered property false for all level except that particular responsibility .

Creation parameters not taking effect after database creation in 10.1.0.4

I created a database using DBCA, changed the default nls settings, then finished the database creation.
The alert log reports the parameters as different than the defaults
However, when starting the instance, the nls parameters are only set at the instance level and not the database level.
Has anyone seen something similar in 10.1.0.4?

Found this in Oracle Doc,
NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS is the one you set when you do Create Database.
NLS_INSTANCE_PARAMETERS is the one you set in your spfile when you start instance.
So if you didn't set NLS_INSTANCE_PARAMETERS in spfile, then instance will start with NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS
And alter session will over write them all.
It's not new behavior in 10.2.0.4

The current NLS instance parameters are stored in the data dictionary along with the database and national character sets. Push Notifications Not Taking Effect on Mini

I have a Lion Server set up with push notifications using the Profile Manager (this is possible the best aspect of Lion Server I have seen so far). I have connected both an iPad and a Mini 5,1 to the server. When editing profiles in Profile Manager, it sends out push notifications. They show as successfull in the status page. When I open my iPad, the changed settings are evident, however, for some reason the Mini will not adjust the settings according to the changes on the profile manager, despite logging off and back on. Any ideas?

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation
WinPE does not use Daylight Savings and this accounts for the time differences. So you've noticed that the timestamp on your image files is off by a few hours to several hours

VO substitution not taking effect when running from Jdev

Hi,
I made a VO substition. However, when running the page from Jdev, the substition is not in effect. When I press "about this page" I see the original view objects - not my own.
I have verified that my .jpx file contains the substitution.
I have tried followed the instructions in the OAF user guide and added -Djbo.project=<myprojectname> to the project runtime java options.
However - if deploying the jpx file on the server with jpximport, the substitution is working. But why is it necessary to deploy that substition on the server when running locally. Also, that should not be necessary according to the user guide.
Any ideas?

When running locally u don't need to dceploy substitution on server.You only need to add substitutions in jdev and added -Djbo.project=<myprojectname>
Note that
the Name value is the .jpx file name without the .jpx extension (for example, ExtendLabSolutions). Be
sure to include a space between any existing options and the new option.Also confirm u have put correct jpx file name.

Changes to policy are not taking effect on windows 2000 workstations

We are currently running zenworks ver4. We have an XP 2000 mix
enviorment. When we make changes to the policy on XP the changes work.
When we make changes on the 2000 policy they do not take effect. I did
give the user local admin rights and that did not help. We are running the
latest client as well and installed the recent patches on the server.
