Customizing Link Lists (or Links List) iView
Our Links List iView holds large number of subfolders and links.
By default, the iView shows links and first level subfolders with their links and subfolders.
Otherwords second level subfolders are 'open'.
The problem is that because there are so many links, the iView height is not big enough to show first level links and folders (scrolling required).
Is there any way to set Links List iView so that it doesn't open second level folders unless users click on them?

Hi,
You can use image map to navigate for km. But you can not do that you want. To do that you can modify this image map collection renderer.

Links List iView: Hiding the "Organize Entries" Command
Hi all!
I am using the Links List iView to display some corporate links. This iView shows an "Organize Entries" control to update the list by default. However, in my requirement, i need to hide this command from the end user. I have taken a look on the Layout Sets involved and have not found this control; Also, i've seen on the Help System that if i change the permissions on the folder, the iView hides this control, but i've tried that and it didn't work.
Do you know how can i hide this control?

I am not sure if I understood your question correctly.
When you click on 'Advanced Copy', you have several options: you can add a prefix or a suffix to the name of the LayoutSet or you can replace a prt of the name. Create task from conversation thread in news feed - Task must be created in custom task list

were user should be able to create a task for himself from a conversational

SharePoint 2013 we have a functionality where we can follow up on a
conversation and it creates a task in My Tasks which is in My site.<o:p></o:p>
But my requirement
is to create a task in Tasks list in same site collection on click of follow
up.<o:p></o:p>
I have
tried one approach as below :<o:p></o:p>
My Tasks in
My site is an aggregated view of all tasks assigned to the logged in user. When
i follow a task in News feed a personal task is created in My task
(WmaAggregatorList_User internal name) list. When i Edit the personal task and
change the Projects
drop down to the required Project Name and Check -"Make this task public to project
members" it just creates a task is specific Site and moves
the task.<o:p></o:p>
I tried to
find if Projects and Check box are columns of Task list , but did not find any
columns.<o:p></o:p>
I am trying
to create a event receiver which would make these columns be set to Site Name
and check box checked so that when user creates a task it will directly move to
Custom Task list.<o:p></o:p>

As i understand you want to add read more link for rest of items in listview webpart. You can create new view and set item limit in that view then add that list as webpart on webpart-->edit your webpart-->select view from view selection dropdpwn-->
save it
Later add one CEWP and use html <a> tag to redirect to your main list when clicks on it. Here is the steps to do this:

Tree Navigation and Link - Open iview in Content Area
Hi,
this is maybe trivial, but I can't find anything about it right now:
I created an iview in Java that shows a custom tree in the detailed navigation area.
Now I have an iview ( a BW apps), that should be behind this link on the inner tree level, and, when clicked, should show up on the inner desktop.
What is the java code that needs to be put into the nav iview to do this? How do I identify the URL that is behind the BW apps that I need to call?You could also let your custom link in the masthead point to a "quicklink" then you do not have pass any url as parameter you just call as it is and you get what you need.
Do not forget to set the "target" property of the link tag to "_top"

Copy that file "com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par.bak" for you PC.
You can find in
\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<Intance Number>\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd
Remove the .bak of that file
Open the Developer Studio
Open the Enterprise Portal Perspective
File --> Import --> PAR File --> Next
In "Archive File Name" select the "com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par"
Project name: set the project name (ex: com.your company.portal.navigation.masthead)
Recommend not use the standard name.
Copy the file "com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead_core.jar"
you can find in
usr\sap\<SID>\JC<Intance Number>\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead\private\lib
In Developer Studio
Put this file in
\dist\PORTAL-INFO\private\lib

Opening a custom link in new window
Hi All,
We have created a custom iview in WD ABAP for showing PM notification data with respect to an item.
The custom iview is accessed by click on a custom linked placed in Navigation panel.
We want this iview to open in new window.
In portal side we have done settings to open it in New Window but it is not happening.
It seems that some other PPm setting overrides portal setting.
Is this possible to configure this in SPRO.

I believe what you looking can be meet by working on Portal Content administration and in SPRO, navigation. Please eloborate more on what you have done and how you want your custom link to appear in portal e.g iview, tab, or seperate window.
Information from your end could help to understand or even to get more knowledge about this.

Creating Custom Bullets & Lists in Pages 5.0
I cannot figure out how to create a custom numbered list in Pages 5.0. I had custom LISTS on my 4.3 Docs that did not migrate to 5.0. How do I create duplicate LIST STYLE in 5.0?
Thank you for your help.On the format menu on the right side, there is the font section, alignment section, spacing section, and bullets & lists section. Next to the bullets & lists section is a drop-down menu of preset lists. At the top-right of this menu is a plus sign. Clicking on this will allow you to create a new list in that menu and title it. From there, you will have to manually create your custom list change the type of bullets (numbers, roman numerals, letters, etc.) -- you might need to click on the disclosure triangle to the left of the bullets & lists title to see this part. When you finish with your custom list, there will be an asterik next to the title of the list, and if you click on that title, the drop-down menu will open up again and you can hit "Update" next to your list name. This should save the style for that custom list. Here is the most important part: When you have finished making this list, make sure you save the document as a template and select that template if you ever want to use that list. I have found that a custom list in a document (saved or deleted) that is not made into a template does not carry over into other documents. Setting up this custom list may take a while, but hopefully it will work and make things easier. I hope this makes sense, and let me know if you cannot understand something. Hopefully this picture will help too.

Query on Grouping Tax Base Balances for Italian Report Customer/Vendor List
Hello Experts,
We are implementing the new italian report for customer/vendor List as per Note : 1090857 - Customer/Vendor List for Italy:New Legal Requirement (2007)
This requires a customizing in Table/View V_T007K(Group Tax Base Balances) where we need to group the tax codes.
Based on what logic is this table required to be maintained and what considerations need to be taken care of when mainting the tax codes for each column.
Anyone who has maintained this table or who is ware of the procedure and logic of maintainance , could kindly advise on the same.

I am new to sharepoint 2010.
I created a custom task list, where I have many tasks assigned to users (I had tasks assigned to me as well). I created a view as "My tasks "and having a filter as Assigned To is equal to [Me]. When I do that my view fails to show the
tasks assigned to me. This happens same with the Sharepoints 'My Tasks' view as well. I tested by creating some test tasks under my name and when I selected 'My Tasks' view no tasks are getting displayed.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display the tasks assigned the current logged in user.
In my environment, if I used the System Account, My Task view didn’t display any tasks.
However , if I used other users except the System Account, My Task view could display current user tasks correctly.
I recommend to use other accounts except System Account to log in site. Then everything will work well.

How to configure a custom link in ESS for LTA?
I have a requirement to display a pop-up alv report, once user click on a link "Leave_Details" in ESS. I am able to display pop-up alv but background screen is empty as its a separate WD application however I want that as soon as user selects any row from that popup alv it should be fetched and displayed on the LTA screen of Portal. It seems link is not configured so its displaying blank background screen while for other standard links this screen is displayed.
Kindly help in this how we can display a custom link in ESS and after fetching any single record it should be closed and single row would be displayed in LTA screen.
Here the background ESS screen is blank for custom link displaying this pop-up alv.

Thanks for your reply however here I am not asking how to create popup, it has already created however my question is, how to configure the link used to display that popup alv?
As shown in the screen as soon as user clicks on the given link shown in below screenshot this popup is displayed,
and after clicking on this link, below screen is displayed
Here background screen is empty whereas it should display the ESS screen in the background, so as soon as user select any row from the popup alv, i'll pass the data into ESS screen using BADI.
Kindly revert with possible solution. -
Error while uploading .xml file for Customer/Vendor List for Italy
Hi All,
We are facing problem while uploading the .xml file in DMEE transaction for the new Customer/Vendor List for Italy.
We have followed the entire process given in the OSS Note(1090857).
We have SAP 4.6c and followed the below steps:
1. Created ID-FI-IT Development class
2. Added domains
3. Added Data elements
4. Tried to upload the given .xml file and got any error saying ".xml file could not be interpreted".
Also there is a .SAR file mentioned to upload if we receive any errors while uploading .xml file.
Tried uploading the .SAR file also. STill we are recieving the same Error.
Can any one of you help us out.

RameshOk, we upload .SAR file in this way:
1. unpack .SAR file with SAPCAR.EXE program. Yuo obtain 2 files
R492445.P9C and K492445.P9C
2. put K492445.P9C in directory \SAPMNT\TRANS\COFILES and put R492445.P9C in directory \SAPMNT\TRANS\DATA of your system (DEV, TST or PRD)
3. Use Tx STMS. If You want create DMEE tree in DEV system, go to DEV import queue. Choose menu Extras | Other requests | Add. Insert P9CK492445 in Transp. request field.
4. Import the request. This creates the DMEE tree. You don't need ti upload XML file after. You can see the DMEE tree created with Tx DMEE and inserting
Tree type UMS1
Format tree IT_CUST_VEN_LIST
5. after continue follow the note

No way to move any buttons in iOS devices.

If I want to add a custom link to the left-hand navigation menu In a SharePoint 2013 sub-site, it can be done by visiting
Site Settings à Navigation section and adding the link under
Structural Navigation: Editing and Sorting section. However, this will automatically add a matching link to the top menu as a dropdown.
(Note that Global Navigation is set to “Display the same navigation items as the parent site” where “Parent is using Structural Navigation.” and Current Navigation is set to “Structural Navigation:
Display only the navigation items below the current site”)
