Customizing Oracle Pages

Hi,
There is a lot of information available for building extensions to OA Framework, however can't find too much information on the process to be followed when customizing an existing OA Framwork Page (eg: How to setup the directory structure in jdeveloper, how to deploy etc), If anyone can suggest any documentation/links for this, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Usha

You should find more information on creating extensions and deploying them in chapter 9 of toolbox tutorials. You should find all the sweet personalization related stuff on personalization guide :). If you need anything specific you can let us know, I will let you know relevant documents or provide adequate information in the forum.

  • How to Build Custom JSP Page to bypass Oracle Apps Login

    Hi All,
    Can some one guide me how to develop a custom jsp page to bypass Oracle Apps R12 Login.
    Actually Our requirement is some external user will enter the login details in some third party login page with the third party generated username and passwrod, that user's credentials are mapped to oracle system,so as soon as they enter credentials having validated it has to redirect that external user to Oracle Apps R12 Home Page, where responsibilities are shown. Currently that third Party login page is set to redirect to RF.jsp but that is not working and throws this error:
    "You are trying to access a page that is no longer active.
    - The referring page may have come from a previous session.Please select Home to Proceed"
    So I am planning to build a custom jsp page to resolve the error.
    As soon as user enter credentials in the third party login page, it will be redirected to my custom login page which in turn redirect external user to Oracle Apps R12 Home Page, where responsibilities are shown. Is it possible? If yes what JSP Page/Servlet I have to invoke from custom JSP Page and what all URL parameters or session parameters and cookies parameter I have to pass or set.
    Can anybody please help me...
    Its very urgent. We are running short of time. Its a sev 1 issue.
    Please reply soon.
    Thanks,
    Raja Dutta

    Hi,
    Thanks for the update.
    Sir its not about calling the JSP Page from OAF page.
    My requirement is what I have explained above.
    Please suggest its urgent.

  • Calling custom OAF page from JSP page in Oracle apps

    Hi,
    I am working on a requirement to call a Custom OAF page from a JSP page in Oracle apps 11.5.10.
    I have registered the OAF page and defined a function for it. When we call this OAF page from JSP (without parameter), the page opens up
    URL: http://APPSURL:8020/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=27221&resp_id=50312&resp_appl_id=515&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US
    but as soon as I am trying to pass a parameter sr_id in the URL:
    http://APPSURL:8020/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=27221&resp_id=50312&resp_appl_id=515&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US&sr_id=106
    we are getting following error:
    You are trying to access a page that is no longer active.
    - The referring page may have come from a previous session. Please select Home to proceed.
    Please let me know if someone has faced the same problem...
    Thanks!!!

    Hi,
    Before calling a OAF page..from external JSP page...u need to set certain mandatory parameter like transaction Id and context.

  • Did any body try to change 10g SSO  login page to custom login page?

    Hi..
    Did any body try to change Oracle 10g SSO login page with custom login Page as we used to do in 902 and 1022 versions by changing wwsso_ls_configuration_info_t table entries?
    It seems that there is now other file policy.properties that has entry for login page.
    Is there any documentation provided by Oracle on this?
    I checked metalink and SSO admin guide?
    Any clue or glue....??
    Thanks
    Sarvesh

    Try 1 & 2 if does not work please file a daycare for further assistance.
    1.   In "Day CQ Login Selector Authentication Handler" for path info add an empty row then verify.
    2.   Delete the existing entry for "Day CQ Login Selector Authentication Handler" , Configure your custom at repository level & verify

  • 10g904 - custom login pages & development method of applics for SSO

    i am getting baffled with these custom login pages and their connection with the SSO.
    I have now read extensive documentation from the following:
    Oracle® AS SSO Admin Guide for release 10g (9.0.4) (B10378-01)
    Oracle® AS SSO App Developers Guide for release 10g (9.0.4) (B10852-01)
    Oracle® AS SSO Admin Guide 10g (9.0.4) (B13791-01)
    Oracle® AS App Developers Guide for release 10g (9.0.4) (B10378-01)
    Oracle® SSO Developers Guide for version 306
    what baffles me is how custom login pages are to be defined for the 10g versions of AS.
    in 10g (904) version, applications for SSO can be protected using mod_osso, and may be developed using mod_osso or using SSO-SDK which is deprecated from this version.
    1. this means that if we do not have to use SSO-SDK (which is deprecated in 904 version) and where we need to protect applications using the mod_osso, then why do we need to use the custom pages.
    2. how do the custom-defined deployment specific login pages or change-password pages work?
    3. what is the role of SSO for partner applications if we do not configure it specifically.
    any helpful hints or links would be highly appreciated.
    thanks

  • Custom Oracle Report displaying records one at a time

    I have a custom oracle report that i've created and what i'm trying to achieve is to get all the records for the specific job code to print on one page. Instead, it is putting one record on one page. For example, job 90822 might have 6 records associated with it. Instead of it putting all 6 on one page it is putting one on 6 separate pages. Hello,
    What is the "Vertical Elasticity" of the enclosing frames / repeating frames ?
    This problem may occur when a frame or repeating frame has a property "Vertical Elasticity" set to Fixed or contract.
    In this case, change the property "Vertical Elasticity" to Expand or Variable.

  • Stale Data error when invoking seeded OAF from a custom OAF page

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement in OAF where we have to open a Seeded OAF Page (Install Base) from our Custom Page. We are using the javascript function “openWindow()” to open the page in a new window. When we close the seeded page by clicking seeded page window using the Window-close button and then perform any event on the custom page, we get the Stale Data error as given below.
    Error: Stale Data
    The requested page contains stale data. This error could have been caused through the use of the browser's navigation buttons (the browser Back button, for example).
    Cause:
    The number of displayed records, 2, exceeds the actual number of records, 1, in view object OwqAM.IKNCICOWQDetailVO1. Some of the displayed records may have been deleted.
    Here is the part of code we have tried.
    String destination = "/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id="+Func_Id+"&"+"resp_id="+Resp_id+"&"+"resp_appl_id="+Application_id+"&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US";
    String testDest = "javascript:openWindow(top,'"+destination+"',null,{width:750, height:550},false,'document',null);void(0);";
    OABodyBean bodyBean = (OABodyBean)pageContext.getRootWebBean();
    bodyBean.setOnLoad(testDest);
    Also this issue is encountered only when we open an OAF page in a new window. We also have a functionality where a JSP page is opened on similar lines, but above said navigations do not result in the same error.
    If anyone has come across such a issue and have a resolution, please let me know. Any pointers would be of great help.
    Thanks,
    Mrugesh

    Hi,
    We had tried passing RetainAM = Y and then bouncing apache. Still we were getting the same error.
    We are not facing the STALE DATA issue when we invoke JSP page and oracle forms. It is only when we launch a seeded OAF page from our custom OAF page that we are getting this error.

    Mrugesh

  • Jdev 10.1.3.1 "ADF Security": Application without a custom login page?

    Hi,
    We are trying to develop an application using "ADF security", which means we can give permissions to certain roles based on "Binding Container", "Iterator Binding", "Method Action Binding" and "Attribute-level Binding".
    After reading the document -- "Oracle® Containers for J2EE Security Guide 10g (10.1.3.1.0) B28957-01" that Frank pointed out. We have a question:
    Can we develop an ADF application without creating a custom login page? Right now we've followed the security guide and modified the configuration files. But when we run the application, we get the "user null" error message. The reason is clear because we do not have a login page. On the security guide, it says that it is possible to use the oracle default login module. But it does not say how. Does anyone have any idea?
    Thanks,
    Annie

    Brenden,
    Thank you so much for the reply. This is our code in the web.xml:
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>BASIC</auth-method>
    <realm-name>default</realm-name>
    </login-config>
    We are using HTTP basic Authentication. This technique worked for the container-managed security. The browser default login page pops up when the end users try to log into a secured JSP. But here we want to use "ADF security" to set up "Iterator binding" and "Attribute level binding" security. The browser default login page does NOT show up. Instead we get the "user null" error message.
    If you have detailed step on how to select HTTP Basic Authentication, it would be very helpful to us. Or if you know any document has the detail.
    regards,
    Annie

  • Customer Standard page is behaving differently in two different instances Y

    HI Guru's,
    I am querying the data in one Customer standard page in support6 instance for eg: 27868 is a Acccount Number we are searching for this and we are getting the Data in this instance here the thing is the Account is Inactive and we can view even Inactive customers in this.
    Now we are seraching for the Customer Number(Acct. Number) same : 27868 in Support 3 instance now here the magic thing i found is i am unable to get the Data in this intance here this one also in backend it is Inactive Customer and this is also a Standard page there is no customization for this.
    Why these two instances are behaving like this if i search for a Same Account Number in Customer search page its a oracle standard page there is no customization.
    Support 6 -- Is Multi node having 2 nodes
    Support 3 -- Is Multi node having 3 nodes .
    Previously we have perform one customization we have changed the query in both the instances same query then also it is behaving like previous one, So we plan to remove the complete customization to both of the instances and tried so we are facing this Issue.
    Note : Support 6 having some Oracle Patches is different from Support 3 Patches means some patches is not applied in Support 3 instances.
    So, is there any issue of those patches and these are not OAF Patches its some Apps Patches.
    Please it's a High Priority issue for me so OAF Guru's update me your valuable answers to me so that i can check out why it is behaving like this.

    Hi
    I have removed my personalizations and customizations in all nodes like this,
    begin
    jdr_utils.deletedocument('/oracle/apps/ar/hz/components/search/server/customizations/site/0/HzPuiDQMSrchResultsVO');
    end;
    Commit ;
    begin
    jdr_utils.deletedocument('/oracle/apps/ar/hz/components/search/webui/customizations/site/0/HzPuiDQMSearchResults');
    end;
    Commit ;
    Next i have run jdr_utils.printdocument also in all the instances so i got these output
    Error: Could not find document /oracle/apps/ar/hz/components/search/server/customizations/site/0/HzPuiDQMSrchResultsVO
    Error: Could not find document /oracle/apps/ar/hz/components/search/webui/customizations/site/0/HzPuiDQMSearchResults
    in all the instances same , so now its a standard functionality right because i have reverted back my customizations.
    i have these two scripts because 1. this is for Vo substitution removed and 2. this is for two new attributes that i added before that was removed.
    Even i have checked the "About this page" link and then we tried to see the query and we got the standrad query only.
    Yes DBA bounced all the 3 nodes for Support 3 and in Support 6 also he bounced 2 nodes.
    The Database has only 1 common node and 1 $java_Top which is shared for all the 3 nodes for support 3 instance and for Support 6 instance that is diffrent $Java_Top .

  • How to call sshr page in custom oaf page

    hey everyone,
    i would like to access the leave of absence page by creating a link on the custom oaf page. So that whenever i click on this link it will open the below page.
    Below is the function details for the jsp page that i want the link to open it when clicked:
    Function Name : HR_LOA_SS
    WEB HTML Call : OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/per/selfservice/absence/webui/AbsenceHomePagePG&akRegionApplicationId=800
    please guide me
    Brgds,
    Jenny

    Hi Jenny,
    Try creating an item of type LINK and set the desitnation URI property to point to this URL.
    I am not sure, but you might need to append some important parameter like Person_ID etc to this URL so that the appropriate Employee Absence Home Page Opens up.
    Try decompiling the CO of AbsenceHomePG and check out the Parameters it needs in ProcessRequest.
    Hope this provide you some pointers.

  • Fusion Applications 11.1.7: Deploy a custom ADF page to Fusion Applications

    Hi,
    I am trying to create and deploy a custom ADF page in Fusion Applications(in premise) which will allow search, create and update operations on a custom table. I have been going through a pile of documents and this forum but I still have the following questions.
    I have a PageA based on the UIShell. This page is linked to the taskflow TaskFlowA which provides the search functionality. TaskFlowA calls TaskFlowB and TaskFlowC which provide the create and edit functionalities.
    I have enabled security from Jdeveloper (Application>Secure>Configure ADF Security)
    Question#1: Is this step required?
    To deploy it I will generate the ADF Library JAR for the Model and ViewController. The ADF Library JAR for the model will be placed into the <ExplodedEarDirectory>/APP-INF/lib directory of an existing application(say HCM). The ADF Library JAR for the UI will be placed in the <ExploadedWarDirectory>/WEB-INF/lib directory.
    Question#2: Are any other steps required for deployment.
    I will then add permissions for the page by following the steps in How To Configure Security For Custom Pages/Taskflows Added To Fusion Applications(Doc ID 1486524.1). This document lists the steps for configuring authorization policies using APM.
    Question#3: While specifying the resource type in APM, I will select RegionResouceType and set the Name to PageA. I understand that I need to provide the full path of PageA in the form xx.xxx.xx. But how do I get the full path?
    Finally I will add a new menu entry in the Navigator menu using the setup task “Manage Menu Customizations” by adding a new item.
    Question#4: What will be the value of Focus View Id for the new Item? Will it be the Focus View Id that I provided while creating the menu file in JDeveloper?
    Question#5: What will be the value of Secured Resource Name? Will it be the same as what I provided in Question#3 above?
    Thanks,
    Sujoy

    Question#1: Is this step required?
    Yes if you want to test the security in the integrated WLS .
    Question#2: Are any other steps required for deployment.
    Yes. Please follow up our earlier post ADF How-To #12: Deploying Customizations to Standalone WLS
    For question #3, #4 & #5 please first review our other post ADF How-To #10: Replacing A Bounded Task Flow  This won't answer completely what you asked but would definitely be a step in that direction.
    I would also recommend you to go through other posts starting with title ADF How-To #.
    Hope this helps

  • Datepicker on custom popup page close the popup page when date is selected

    Hi
    I have created a custom popup page according to the "How-To": Build Custom Popup Pages in Oracle Application Express. http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/how_to_create_custom_popups.html
    I have changed one of the search fields to a date and use the datepicker.
    When running the custom popup page from a simple form page, and select a date with the datepicker, the custom popup page is closed, and I return to the form page.
    How do I prevent the popup page to be closed, when date is selected ?
    BR Klaus

    Is there a way to control the javascript in the
    standard datepicker.No.
    Why would you want the builtin date picker window to hang around after the user selects a date?

    Hey hi there ,
    I think you are trying to hide the Product branding that appears right next to the corporate image ( Oracle image ) ,
    well you can do this using controller code , in processRequest of your controller add this code
    Import :
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.layout.OAPageLayoutBean;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAFormattedTextHelper;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.OAFormattedTextBean;
    OAFormattedTextBean bean =
    (OAFormattedTextBean)createWebBean(pageContext, FORMATTED_TEXT_BEAN,null,"product_brand");
    bean.setText(" ");
    OAPageLayoutBean page = pageContext.getPageLayoutBean();
    page.setProductBranding(bean);
    Once you compile and run the page notice that Product branding will no longer appear on the screen .
    Try this and let me know if its not working .
