Customizing the default tree

Hi,
I am using the default tree structure in oracle apex.I want to improve the look and feel of the default tree.Any help to customize the tree will be appreciated :).
Thanks in advance

Hi TJ,
You can add styling into the tree template itself. What you do, though, depends on what the tree template already has.
If we assume that none of the entries in the tree's template shows name="..." on any tag and the tree is constructed as a table - that is, the Before Tree setting is just:
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">we can update this to (A) give the table tag an ID and (B) add some styling above that to target each tree node. There should be only types of node in the tree - ones without any link and ones with a link. The ones without a link should be just text in a TD tag. The ones with links should be text in an A tag.
So, if we give the tree an ID of "mytree", we can change the Before Tree template setting to:
<style type="text/css">
#mytree td {color:darkblue; font-size:16px;}
#mytree a {color:darkblue; font-size:16px;}
</style>
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" id="mytree">Then the text in either the TD tag or the A tag will be darkblue and 16px. I have done that here: [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=21374:1]
If your template does include the name="+classname+" attribute for tags, you can override this by adding the following above the TABLE tag in the Before Tree setting:
<style type="text/css">
.classname {color:darkblue; font-size:16px;}
</style>Then, no matter what the original classname style was, your setting will override this.

  • How to set the default tree node in JTree?

    I want to set a default tree node in JTree when start the program,
    what is the method or the function to call?
    Thanks~

    If you by "default" mean "selected", then you can use one of the setSelectionXXX methods in the JTree API.
    If you by "default" mean something else, never mind this post :-)

  • How to make the default tree row selection programatically

    I have one use case where I am displaying the tree table based on some parameter which is just for filtering the table and display the part of hierarchy.
    The problem here is I want to make a default selected row when the tree will be rendered to UI based on the primary key(that is the input parameter).
    can you please tell me how to do this.I am using jdev 11g.
    thanks,

    Hi,
    for this you need to know where in the path the PK is. If e.g. the PK is for a second level node then you need to pass the first level node PK as well. Nodes in a tree are defined as ArrayLists. So unfortunately your question doesn't provide enough information

  • Customizing the default basic CMYK file...

    I have saved a customized "basic CMYK.ai" file so that a new cmyk document loads with my changes...with the exception of color management. My chosen customized .csf for CS4 apparently doesn't stick... The new file, after being saved for the first time indicates that it's an "unmanaged file". What to do? Has anyone dealt with this before?

    davidmacy wrote:
    Unmanaged File doesn't mean anything - it means that you are not using Version Cue -- very annoying message. If you want that to go away, click on that part of the Status Bar and go to Show > Current Tool (or Document Color Profile if that is what you want to see).
    Except, it keeps defaulting to 'Unmanaged File' – for new files and everytime you reopen an existing file.... Or is there a way out?

  • SAP Work Manager 6.0 - Creating notification on mobile device (customizing the default Start and End date)

    Dear all,
    When I create a notification in SAP Work Manager 6.0, the notification gets created in the back-end with Start Date equal to Current Date + 1 day and End Date equal to Current Date + 3 days.
    Can you advise where I can customize this behaviour, so that the Start Date is for example equal to the Current Date and End Date being 14 days in the future? Is this something that would need to be configured in Agentry Editor or within the ABAP stack?
    Many thanks for your support.

    Hi Jason,
    We went this route and identified the initial values, and tried to modify those.
    No impact though, as if those values are being overwritten elsewhere (whatever value we set, no change on the backend).
    Please see the attachments with screenshots of Agentry Editor.
    Many thanks.

  • Apply the default user logon picture to all users

    Hi
    I applied gpo "apply the default user logon picture to all users"
     Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\User Accounts\Apply the default user logon picture to all users
    C:\programdata\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user.bmp  --> renamed my company log to user.bmp.
    Taken backup of old user.bmp.
    But policy is not working.
    Environment:
    Windows Server 2008 R2
    Clients:Windows 7 and Windows 8

    Hi S.Vijay Kumar,
    Based on my understanding, the GPO which configured the
    Apply the default user logon picture to all users would not apply successfully. What’s more, you have customized the default user logon picture
    %ProgramData%\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user.bmp. Right?
     Firstly, please check if the scope of this GPO and the setting of Filtering are correct.
    Secondly, please follow the steps below to check if the GPO is applied to these Windows XP clients:
    Click Start, type rsop.msc in the search box to access
    Resultant set of policy.
    Check if the GPO is applied to these clients and the setting of the GPO is correct.
    In addition, it would be helpful for future troubleshooting if you could help to collect the following information:
    Did the GPO fail to apply for all the computers or only some computers?
    Can you set the user.bmp as the user logon picture
    manually?

    Hi,
    Use Css to change the icon style:
    af|treeTable::expanded-icon {
    content: url("/adf/1.gif");//content : none;
    outline: none ;
    af|treeTable::collapsed-icon {

  • How to construct the component tree in my custom component?Help!

    Hi, i am writing a custom component like this:
    public class HtmlCategory extends HtmlPanelGrid
         public void processRestoreState(javax.faces.context.FacesContext context,
                java.lang.Object state)
              setColumns(1);
              HtmlCommandLink link=new HtmlCommandLink();
              link.setValue("Let's Bingo");
              MyUtil.setActionListener(context,link,"#{temp.mytest}");
              UIParameter param=new UIParameter();
              param.setName("name");
              param.setValue("Robin!");
              link.getChildren().add(param);
              param.setParent(link);
              getChildren().add(link);
              link.setParent(this);
              super.processRestoreState(context,state);
    }         you see, i want to construct the compont tree at Restore View phase this way,because the structure of the component tree will always be the same, so i don't the user to write extra code.
    But the children of the component are not rendered,the renderer of the HtmlCategory component just extends the HtmlGridRenderer(myfaces) directly,and always calls the "super" methods in the encode methods of the renderer.
    I got a message from the console:
    Wrong columns attribute for PanelGrid id0:id4: -2147483648
    but i have set the columns attribute in the code above, so what's happening? or please give some advice about how to render the component tree by myself in Restore View with the tree constructing code in the custom component class code,just lke the code above.
    Best Regards:)
    Robin

    Well, i don't know if i have got my question clear.
    usually, according to the tags you use in the jsf page, a component tree will be created at the Restore View phase,for example:
    <f:form>
      <h:panelGrid ...........>
              <h:dataTable ................>
              </h:dataTable>
       </h:panelGrid>
    </f:form>but because i am writing a component for my web app, all the child components and their attributes are not likely to change. so i want to reduce the tags into one custom tag, and construct the component tree internally by myself.But it is not the case of backing bean.So i wrote the the code in the method:
    public void processRestoreState(javax.faces.context.FacesContext context,java.lang.Object state)as it is shown in my orginal message.But it seems that it is not right way to construct my component tree.So where should i put the code that construct the component tree?Overriding the method :
    public void processRestoreState(javax.faces.context.FacesContext context,java.lang.Object state)is not the right way?
    Best Regards:)

  • On first startup each day my tool bars revert to the default setting instead of my customized setting. Why? How do I stop it from happening.

    This happens on both of my computers. After I close down Firefox and then start it up again it sometimes comes to my customized set of tool bars. At other times it does not. Usually the first time I start Firefox it reverts to the default Toolbars. My extensions are Adblock plus, Browsing protection, down them all, float notes, Image Zoom, Java Console 6.0.21 and 6.0.16, Java quick starter, Kodak Easyshare, Link Password, Mile wide back, Microsoft.net framework, Print/print preview, Reminder fox, WOT, Xmarks, Yet another smooth scrolling.

  • How to set the XML tree to be collapsed by default at run time?

    I am developing a simple software in Java, to improve my programming skills, the output of this program is an XML file. I am very new to XML. My question is that, every time the XML file is opened the tree is in expanded form, which appears to be the default setting at run time. I want it to be fully collapsed when the XML file is opened. I have read about certain solutions to this problem by using XSL or CSS. I am not familiar with XSL at the moment so I have not explored it yet. Is there any other way around this problem.
    I would like someone to just point me in the right direction so that I can eventually get to the answer.
    Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thankyou

I want it to be fully collapsed when the XML file is opened. If you are asking to control the XML display in text editor when the XML is opened, I think you can't control it through the java. How the individual editor shows the XML is their property. For example, if you open the file in notepad, you may not get the pretty XML however if you open if the file in XML editor like XMLSpy, you may get its hierarchical representation.

  • How can identify the default currency for a customer?

    How can identify the default currency for a customer?
    I know that this is being determined when you create a sales order for a particular customer, for example, so I could break this process open and find out what it uses. But I thought it worth asking in this forum first.

    Hi Gary,
    As per my understanding of your question I am replying , If you are looking some thing else then I request you to please elaborate your query.
    If you see the BP sales area data in transaction BP, In billing tab you maintain the currency for a customer which is default currency when you create a sales order.

  • Export in iPhoto offers a "Custom" setting for size. The default is 1000. 1000 what? Pixels, centimeters, MB's?

    Export in iPhoto offers a "Custom" setting for size.
    1000 is the default, but I don't know what 1000 refers to.
    Pixels, centimeters, MB's?
    I want to make the photo an 1 inch x 1 inch.
    Do I go up or down from the 1000?
    Thanks

    Pixels.
    For a 1" x 1" photo first crop the photo square.  Then export  with Kind = Current with JPEF Quality = Maximum and Size = Full size.
    Then when you go to print the photo select a 1" x 1" print size.  This will squeeze all available pixels in each dimension into the 1" dimension giving you the highest DPI resolution available from your image file.

  • Redirect editform.aspx to custom view instead of the default?

    Hello everyone!
    I'm another unfortunate admin who has been handed some developer tasks and I am struggling with what is probably a simple process that requires your help.
    I have a sharepoint list called "tickets".  On this list I have created multiple filtered/grouped views of the items in the list for separate groups of users (these views are linked to from their respective sharepoint sites elsewhere in the
    collection).
    My problem is that when a user edits one of these list items using the editform and SAVES the user is taken back to the default list view instead of the custom view I created for each group of users.
    I strongly suspect I can do something like this:
    http://site/lists/listname/editform.aspx?Source=http://site/list/listname/viewname.aspx
    ...but I cant figure out where to go in sharepoint (2010 server) or sharepoint designer to add the re-direct.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Logan,
    Using out of box feature or share point designer this functionality is not possible so what you can do, write your custom edit form and on click of save button you can check logged in user and his or her presence in the group which you created for multiple
    views and redirect to associated view for those group.

  • How to make a custom template the default for Apple Mail (10.7.5)?

    Hi,
    I'm OK with making a new custom template in Apple Mail.  It shows up fine once under "custom" in the stationary pane (and once I take off signature in a new email).  But... that's a lot of trouble to go through everytime I want to send an email.
    So the question is: can I make my custom template my default for all my emails, unless I want to manually change it?  Seems like this should be possible but I can't figure it out and haven't run into any solutions (only on how to make a template).
    Do I really have to select it each time?
    Best,
    Joel

    As an FYI: I just solved the problem by going the "low road." I'll be a bit laborious in case someone else wants a solution at a later date (I know I Googled the topic and found nothing). I experimented by simply:
    Opening a new email message
    Selecting my custom template
    Copying the custom signature (Select All)
    Opening another new email message
    Selecting Edit on the Signature pulldown menu
    Hitting the plus symbol to create/add a new signature in the pane
    Pasting into the new signature
    Naming it
    Selecting "Choose signature" at the bottom of the signatures pane
    And violà!!
    It now appears as a possible selection *and* as the default.
    Better yet - it is now my default and will work as a reply to an email.
    I think I got it all right in the list above.
    OK, granted, this is a pretty simply signature - a list of my website, SoundCloud, twitter etc with those names in bold and a graphic of my color logo - but... it works! YMMV.
    Give it to Apple to make it so simple that any fool could do it (that would be me), you wouldn't need a "specialized" app, and - of course - there wouldn't even be instructions on how to do it!
    Best,
    Joel

    Could anybody please enlighten me on how to make the APEX tree in the "Expand All" shape by default please? I created an APEX tree and by default it's in the "Collapse All" shape. I am using APEX 4.1.0.00.21

    Hi,
    you can check the view source of html and check the onclick code written on that plus sign(Expand All), just copy that onclick javascript code and put it on page javascript event.
