Cwdss.exe error: can't read memory location

I have 3 PCs running XP, Service Pack 1, each with a frame-grabber card, either NI 1409 and 1409. They run identical code. Each one reads the active video channels in sequence, and saves the new image locally on a DataSocket server. These are in remote locations, with seldom a visitor. The users are near a 4th machine, which gets images from the other 3 by reading their DataSocket servers. It is slower, since it does calculations on each image. This runs 24 hours a day, but about once a day one of the 3 image-capture machines--always the same one--halts, displaying an error message and waiting for someone to notice the message and push "OK". After that, it just keeps on going as if the error was no big problem. But of course it is a problem, since the halt is not noticed for a while.
The error window is titled "Socket Notification Sink: csdss.exe Application Error". It then explains that "The instruction at location 0x0040aaf7 referenced memory at 0x482f6f72. This memory could not be 'read'." It always shows the same instruction and the same read address.
What is this telling me? How can I tell what is going on at the address cited? How can it work for hours and then try an out-of-bounds read? Why does this happen with only one of the three machines? Could this be some infrequent timing conflict between reading and writing to the DataSocket?

I am running Labview 6.1 on a Windows XP machine (Service Pack 1). I never run the code without the DataSocket, since the whole point is offer new images when needed to the PC in the room with the users, which does all the serious calculations. The image is stored in the DataSocket server as a 640 by 480 integer array of either U8 or I16 format, depending on the type of frame-grabber. The machine with the errors has a 1409 and so gets 10-bit data, saved in I16 format. The odd aspects, again, are that the program runs without a hitch for a day or so, then does this illegal read, and that the same code runs on two other machines without this problem ever showing up.

  • Javac error: Can't read my .java-file

    Hi,
sorry for my stupid question, but I have problems compiling my java code.
Before, I used NetBeans to compile the code and I had no problems with it. Now I have to use the javac command (with the same *.java-files) and it does not work.
It's running on Linux. In my current working directory, I have the file
    image/transfer/smallserver/RequestProcessor.java
    So I type
javac image.transfer.smallserver.RequestProcessor.java but I get this error:
error: can't read: image.transfer.smallserver.RequestProcessor.javaPlease, can anyone tell me, what's wrong with this?
    Thank you for your help
    Susanne

I set all possible classpathes. It makes no difference.
If I try it a different way, I get other errors concerning the files I want to import. These files are located in image/transfer/client.
I tried to use smallserver as working directory, simply with the command
    javac RequestProcessor.javaI get
Class image.transfer.client.ImageObject not found in importI tried it with the same working directory as before with "/" instead of "." in the path name. I get
error: Invalid class file format: ./image/transfer/client/ImageObject.class, wrong version: 46, expected 45and addionally the message from above (ImageObject not found)

  • Javascript error: invalid access to memory location

I have a Popup Key LOV (Displays description, returns key value) in a screen that works great.
Then we were giving a training to use the app.
This one room has 8 computers in it and all get the Javascript error:
Error: invalid access to memory location
after the Popup comes up and then when selecting one of the choices.
The version was 6.0xxxx and other machines are IE 7.0 but we found another machine not in that room that had 6.0xxx and it works fine.
That room may not have had upgrades to OS or ???, ???
Any ideas in what to check?
    Thanks Bill

    Hello,
And this is a javascript error your getting? I've never seen that one, have you checked in FF it's debug message is better and will help you narrow it down.
Since there your getting inconsistent results between the machines in that room compared to others is some sort of plugins on the machines your using for training? Popup blockers or tracking plugins (seen that in some UI labs).
My other guess is that there might be some js trying to run on the popup before it's opened, but that wouldn't account for the inconsistent results.

  • How do I resolve PP 1.5 'can't read memory' error ?

How do I resolve the following error that occurs when working in PP 1.5 & when exiting?
Premiere Pro.exe application error. The instruction at 0x696352cb referenced memory at 0x000000bc. The memory could be for read.
Have already reinstalled PP1.5 & still get the error. Microsoft Techs have reviewed the issue on my computer and determined my system is healthy & up to date. Have been using this PP1.5 on same computer with Windows XP Fully Updated & virus free Home Version for years & this error just popped-up recently. Although I also own PP CS5.5 and use it on another computer with Windows 7, I am comfortable using 1.5 and would like to correct this error. Your thoughts are most welcome. Thank you.

You possibly has a program, or process, that is loading at bootup, and it is not playing nice with the memory addresses. It could be mis-reporting the addresses used, or could be telling the OS that it has released certain memory addresses, when it has not.
See this ARTICLE for tuning up your OS and your system, especially regarding unnecessary programs, and processes, that load at bootup.

b . plug in ipod and go to " my computer " , right click on
your ipod ( Drive "E" on mine will vary on others )
c . click on hardware tab and then double click on "apple ipod usb device "
d . click on policies tab and then change the selection to " optimize for performance "
Then retry your sync and all should hopefully be ok .
Please post back if you tried it and let us know the results .

hi, im also having a similar sort of problem. previous generation iPod video 80Gb version, windows vista 32bit and itunes 7.5(although the problem also occurred with the last 7.4 update).currently the iPod is empty, and out of the 9364 songs (50.01 Gb) in my itunes library, less than 100mb will be synced to my ipod before the sync simply cuts out, like it had completed the sync normally. I have taken the ipod in to an apple store and it synced perfectly with a mac. I have also tried removing and re-installing itunes, even deleted the preferences and other app data that normally gets left in the computer, and i also tried restoring the ipod to factory settings several times to no avail... oh, and i also tried using different cables to connect the ipod, incase the cable was loose, but that didnt work either.

  • Getting error Can't read from the source or disk when moving documents from one folder to another folder in the library

    Hi,

Could you please help me anyone....
    Thanks

    Hi Reddy,
If you are moving files in two libraries in different sites, then the error will occur and it is by design that there are limitations on the DAV move commands that the DAV client is respecting.
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/6245f332-c609-4a7b-8e00-c8b5e46f7759/cant-move-files-using-windows-explorer-cant-read-from-source?forum=sharepointgeneral
If you are moving files in the same library, I recommend you to use Wireshark to reveal the error message and enable IIS
Trace Logging for Failed Requests to examine the IIS log file for troubleshooting.
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/47cd569d-98f2-4cca-b78e-fd178c097285/cant-read-from-the-source-file-or-disk?forum=sharepointgeneralprevious
To narrow down the issue scope, I recommend you to test with another library and see if the copy in explorer can work.
    Best regards.
    Thanks

  • F1 crashes DW MX 2004 - "can't read memory"

DW MX 2004 - F1 causes program crash.
After using Trend PC-cillin and PCTools for a few weeks, I
tried to use DW MX 2004, v.7.0.0, but had a few problems. I tried
reinstall again, but still the reinstallation wasn't 100%
successful. Searching the Internet, I found out I had to update to
v.7.0.1. This I did and was then successful in reinstalling DW.
However, whenever I click on F1 or on the pull-down menu for Help,
DW displays the message: Application Error ... The memory could not
be read." The program then crashes.
Anyone out there know why and how to put this right? I run
    Win XP Home SP2, Build 2600. I've tried AShampoo's WinOptimizer 3.0
to clean the memory and redundant registry entries. Thanks for any
    tips!

You can buy a USB SDHC reader that plugs into your USB ports. Looks a lot like a flash drive. Other than that, your only option is to get an external card reader. If you have Windows XP, you will likely need a Microsoft patch to enable SDHC card support.

  • I can't clear recent history. It worked on 6.0 but on 6.0.2 I can't do this. Also my bookmarks are lost. How can I fix it? Old bookmark archives don't work. Error: Can't read data.

The day I updated my Firefox to version 6.0.2, I had some problems. The first time I want to clear recent history as "everything" Firefox cleared my all bookmarks and history page (Ctrl + H or Ctrl + Shift + H) but visited websites are still on address bar. They are on Firefox Menu > History section. Bookmarks are not important, how can we fix Clear Recent History function?
Troubleshooting Information is in Turkish, if it is not useful I can send that text in English. Please send an e-mail for this.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

If you are using a Windows folder view, it might show you a file name of HelloWorldApp.java when the real file name is HelloWorldApp.java.txt for example. You should be using the 'dir' command from the command prompt.

  • Javac can't read filename.java

    Hi
my problem is that javac can't read filename.java
i have saved the source code as filename.java under text document file type and i kept the capitalization the same for the[i] filename and classname but i am still having this error message: "error : can't read : filename.java" .
does that have anything to do with windows xp that i am using or there is absolutely something else that prevents javac from reading and compiling the file?
    please help
    Kind regards
    Nour

The only 2 reasons that I can figure out why you are getting this error is either because your java file has not been properly named ie. filename.java or else then it is not in the same location ie directory from where you are trying to run your compiler.
Thus you need to run the compiler from the directory that contains your java source file so it really does'nt matter where you have saved your java file on the machine as long as your path is set to your j2sdk /bin Just cd your way to that directory where you have the java file and run the compiler javac
