CXMS_NON_CHAR_MAPPING_UC - middleware issue

Dear all,
after the installation of SP we are facing the following issue with Middleware (from ECC to CRM).
When calling FM CXMS_NON_CHAR_MAPPING_UC we enter in a new part of the code that has been introduced with note 1395248.
The comment to the new part is the following:
To handle the situation when application does not have
BAPIMTCS-SEGTYPE set.
Assume everything, which is not DD, is DA
LOOP AT t_bapistructures WHERE segtype = 'DA'
In this part, our segment type is blank (while in other parts is DD), so the statement Assume everything, which is not DD, is DA is not correct for our scenario.
In this way we enter a part of the code where it occurs a Unicode conversion that causes uncorrect data mapping.
The result is that data are not replicated.
While debugging, we have tried to skip that new part, i.e. simulating the behaviour without SP, and it works correctly.
Do you have any suggestions?

CRM Middleware issue with Kanji Characters

When customers are replicated from ECC to CRM using middleware, the name for some of the customers which are stored in Kanji (Japanese characters) are flowing in as ###### instead of the actual Kanji characters. However the address fields are flowing correctly. Is anyone aware of any notes or setting regarding this issue?
Both CRM and ECC have been unicoded and this issue is only occuring on the name and search term fields of the BP. Also if I enter or create a customer directly in CRM using Kanji characters, then I do not have an issue. This issue occurs only during replication from R/3.

I believe this has to be raised to SAP OSS.
The standard fields are getting affected and the standard middleware services are responsible.
So raise an OSS, this must help you.

Middleware issues-Urgent

I am maintaining 2 products and few sales orgs in R/3. When I extract those 2 products to CRM, there is a sales Org is a missing in CRM after downloding.
Example:
1.Product 100 sales org 10 to 70 ( done)
2.Product 200 Sales Org 10 to 69 ( Here one sales Org is missing).
Could you help me to solve this issues? Looks issues in Middleware part.

Hello Pathi,
During the first download of a material, a product GUID is generated in the R/3 System and in the CRM/EBP System. The product is stored under this product GUID (in database table COMM_PRODUCT).The assigned product GUID is also stored in the R/3 System:database table NDBSMATG16 for materials or NDBSSRVG16 for services. During another download, the product is identified by this product GUID
Have you changed the assigned logical system in the R/3 Back-end System (table T000) ?.
Have you carried out the download from an R/3 Back-end System and then copy this R/3 Back-end System to a different R/3 Back-end System to which a different logical system is assigned.Then the download is carried out from this different R/3 Back-end System ?

Pls guide me on below mention issue..............
Issue Details
In our scenario we have SAP CRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0 (IS-U), basically it is an utliity implementation project. Where there is SAP CRM front end and ISU backend. We have done all the necessary setting related to middleware like sites creation, object download, etc.
We are able to replicated Business Partner from ISU to CRM successfully, but in case of CRM to ISU it is not happening. when we check in smw01, the description of the Bdocs error is
Could not determine module name: BUPA_MAIN GENKEY: REP_GET_RECIPIENT
Service that caused the error: SMOH_REPLICATION_WRAPPER_MSG
and Bdoc State Description is 'Technical error (incomplete)'
Can you pls give your inputs to resolve the same or particular step from where actually we can start diagnosis of this issue. It will be great if you provide any documents on the same.

Hi,
The issue you are facing is probably because of the fact that the generation of some objects were not proper.Please use transaction SMWP to check the generation status.If you find any issues then you can use transaction GENSTATUS to do a genaration.
Also do the generation via SMOGGEN for object BUPA_MAIN.After that you should be able to reprocess the Bdocs.

Please help in CRM Middleware Issue

We are planning on deleting and refreshing ECC System master data as well as some transactional data. What will the impact be to CRM System since the middleware replicates data between ECC and CRM systems? Will we need to delete all of the data in CRM System first? Will we need to turn off the replication during the refresh? How do we do this? Please help me for solving this issue.

Hi Raju,
While refreshing the ECC system it is necessary to refresh your corresponding CRM system as well.
Otherwise, due to the difference in GUID setup of ECC & CRM , none of the Master data can be reused.

BDOC Middleware issue

Hi all
Before we start I am a technical ABAPer and not a middleware specialist.
Here is my issue: I have a failed BDOC in an outbound queue. The BDOC goes across to ECC and calls FM FILA_BUS_TRANSACTION_RECEIVE, this is related to the Lease Accounting Engine.
However, when the FM is called we get a MESSAGE_TYPE_X short dump and therefore the BDOC sits in error on the outbound queue. In our D environment I have debugged the scenario and have seen what the issue is. One of the structures that is passed to the FM in ECC is incomplete.
My question is this: does anyone know where the data is formatted between the BDOC outbound process and the moment it hits the ECC function module? Debugging suggests that the data is held in CRM in table ARFCSDATA, is this correct? If so, does the formatted data already exist in CRM and is not formatted dynamically as the BDOC is sent?
Any help would be greatly accepted.

I have no experience of lease accounting middle ware but have worked with the customer replication and would expect it follows the same processe.
This middleware functionality between two systems is implemented by an asynchronous RFC call to a function module in the target system.
When the call to that function fails, the details are as you say, entered into ARFCSDATA.
Unfortunately, this data holds the parameters of the called function in the raw data fields, and are not formated BDOC data.
The function module on the target system which is called remotely, takes the data and builds the bdoc structure to be sent to the inbound queues in the target, thus formatting the data.

Middleware issues due to System copy on ERP

Hi Middlewware Gurus,
We are currently on CRM 5.2 and the backend ERP system is 4.6C. In our project we are currently exchanging only BP data but going forward we will exchanging Sales Quotation and Materials. Currently the CRM system is not live but the ERP system is live and the client has a process for overlaying their ERP QAS with the Production system every month. We recently have installed the CRM QAS system and connected it with the ERP QAS system. But before downloading any data into CRM, client has done a system copy of ERP Prod to ERP QAS. Due to this the logical system names got changed and outbound queues in ERP were failing with an error. Based on our experiences in earlier projects, we ran BDLS in the ERP QAS and our problem got solved.
Because of the huge data in the ERP system, the BDLS Tx. ran for almost 6 hrs for which client is against doing so. We would be facing this issue with Logical System everytime there is a system copy of ERP Prod onto ERPQAS. Is there a way to identify the tables that for relevant for CRM Middleware and update the Logical system directly in those tables using a custom progrm. With this approach, we will be eliminating the long runtimes for executing BDLS. With BDLS, you have to again bring the system down and lock out the users. One table which I could identify is CRMPRLS. If anyone has a list of those tables or know a way to identify these tables, please let me know.

Hi Martin,
You can follow SAPINST to export your source database and import the same into target database as you have performed in your ABAP+JAVA system.
In case you want to go with option of attaching/detaching database, you should refer the following SAP notes.

Above note has steps to perform the database copy using attach/detach method.

CRM 5.0 - Middleware issues after Support Package installation

Hi experts,
after upgrading the support package (from version 11 to version 17) we are facing a lot of issues.
1. We need to synchronize custom tables from CRM to R/3.
Can you give me an example on how to configure table SMOFQFIND/CRMMAPTAB for inbound queues CRI*?
We know we have to do but we don't know how.
2. We need to synchronize standard tables from R/3 to CRM.
Do you know we have to do some new configuration in SMOFQFIND/CRMMAPTAB table?
With the older version of SP we were'nt asked to configure those tables.

Initial load of product categories - Middleware issue

Hello all,
I need fresh idea regarding middleware problem that I am facing.
My setup of middleware is done by note 720819, sites (CRM and R/3) are defined, report for product settings is run (service set to inactive), RFC connections set, filters for DNL_CUST_PROD1 set and nothing is happening when I try to transfer material groups for the backend. RFC users have SAP_ALL.
Object is in status running and that is. I checked RFC connection and it is working, so EBP is entering R/3 and here everything stops.
I used note 429423 for analysis with no much use because there is no BDocs at all.
customizing is the same on DEV and QAS but on QAS is doing nothing while on DEV is happily executing.
Please give some clue what is happening.

So,
after digging around EBP and R/3 (do you remeber Digger game) I found out two things.
1. RFC user had wrong authorizations (not SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW) what was different that on other systems. Finally agree with other that this authorizations are possible if user is not dialog.
2. Because load was started with unproper authorizations it was stuck in OUTBOUND queue of SRM. When I deleted loads in queue and with proper authorizations everything went OK.
Point: do not look only inbound queue in SRM

This is a very generic dump which could have occured due to multiple reasons.
Can you check if you face the same issues while replicating other queues too (PROD0/PROD1 etc)

1)what do u mean by defining r/3 back end parameters,like crmconsum and crmrfcpar table..what is the purpose of maintaining values in this table.
2)what are customising objects...whats the need of loading them,and if we are laoding them from r/3,what phyiscally happens in crm,do they create any structures in crm...
3)what do u mean request?what is the purpose of creating,defining it?
4)what is the purpose of reference customer?
5)what do u mean RFC user?any diffrence between normal user?

1) R/3 parameters give your backend the necessary information for it to route RFC calls. For example, you create a new partner, and R/3 needs to know the destination CRM system for this partner. They do other stuff but this is the basic one.
2) Customizing objects ensure that some customization is the same in the R/3 and CRM system. For example DNL_CUST_PROD1 transports product hierarchy from R/3 to CRM. They don't create structures (well, only condition objects do), they transfer data between tables.
3) This is out of context I can't answer
4) When you create consumers, the system retrieves missing data (like sales area data) from the reference customer.
5) RFC user is a normal user, but usually it has type "Communication" or "System" instead of "Dialog".

Hi,
Do download the Condition customising use the following Objects:
DNL_CUST_CNDALL
DNL_CUST_CND for condition technique
DNL_CUST_PRC for Pricing information
DNL_CUST_FGD for free goods
I ould suggest, if the first one is already downloaded then download only the 2nd one (DNL_CUST_CND ).
Also, to downlaod the condition tables contents, you have to use DNL_COND_A*
e.g. if your table name is A123 then the corresponding object would be DNL_COND_A123.
If its a custom condition table then you'll have to create an object by copyin the std one and naming it as:
e.g. ZDNL_COND_A999 for table A999.
PS: Do not forget to prefix it with Z. Otherwise replication wont be successful.

Error: Could not connect to middleware

Hi All,
I am posting this thread after reading and implementing most of the threads available on this topic.
When I login into the NWA, with MISUPERADMIN user, and I click on Hierarchy Grouping, or Device Maintenance, I get the following error:
Reason: Could not connect to middleware
This is all we have done:
         We have installed NetWeaver MI 7.0 with AS ABAP & AS JAVA Components.
         After that, we have configured the SLD via Visual Admin Tool.

So it is not clear, why we are still getting that error.
Kindly provide us with guidance as to which way we should approach to solve the problem.

For this error I have found the following as possible reasons. (Assuming all the RFC and JCo are correct)
Both can cause this error.
I have had a 100% success in solving the problem by checking these 2 things.
1: Check your MI_SERVICE and MISUPERADMIN passwords! And that both users are unlocked and in validity period.
    Some people say you should use the admin user instead of service (because the admin is a dialog user I think),
    but this has never resolved my middleware issues.
2: If you have redeployed the jar file in the deployment tool, you have to restart the j2ee server.
So basically after all the setup steps have been done and checked, you have to bounce the j2ee server.

R/3 to CRM product replication Problem

We have sap CRM and R/3 systems are there.
I could replicate all the products from R/3 to CRM system except one product.
I checked that product in R/3 there that is available but it is not available in CRM system.
Please let me know hoe to replicate only that particular product from R/3 to CRM system.

Things you need to do
i. See if there are any BDocs stuck in the SMWO1 for the product in question. if none then do the below
i. Create an explicit download request for this product. Go to TCODE R3AR2. Give a name starting with Z ; Adapter object would be MATERIAL. Then click on request detail and enter the following
Table name : MARA
Field name : MATNR
incl/exl - INclusive deined set/array
option - Equality (=Low)
Low = Enter your product number that you want to download from R/3.
SAVE
ii. Go to tcode R3AR4 and enter the object created in previous step. Enter source site and target site.
SELECT EXECUTE.
Now see if the product is downloaded or not. If not, check BDocs and queues.

HI all.
I want to know if it is possible for CRM to access documents which are stored in DMS, when DMS is part of the R/3 content server instalation?
Or if it is possible to create any type of connection (preferibly bi-directional) between the systems?

Hi,
It is a middleware issue. SAP has different repliaction scenarios like 'Scenario X/Y/Z' and 'Scenario A'. SAP standard is Scenario X. If you want the document to be changed in both the systems CRM and R3 then you should have 'Scenario A' but to implement this R/3 should be in 6.0 version. PLease read the note 541113. This explains all the scenarios in detail.
