D0 is not this fstype after creating RAID 1 mirror

Hi there,
I'm trying to mirror the disks in my Sun Fire 280R following the instructions detailed on
http://www.nbl.fi/~nbl97/raid1.html
When it comes to doing the metaroot and rebooting the server then doesnt boot in to solaris 9 claiming:
mount: d0 is not this fstype
and then complaining that it couldn't write to /var/adm/utmpx and a few others.
Because it can't mount the root file system I can't edit the /etc/vfstab file to change the metaroot back to c0t0d0s0 rather than d0 to get it booted again.
I've tried a mount -o rw,remount /dev/md/dsk/d0 / and this gives same fstype error.
What could be up?

First off heres the partition setup:
s0 / is 5120 MB
s1 is swap 8192 MB
s2 is backup, full drive 70 gigs
s3 is /u01 51200 MB
s4 is about 300 megs for the replica dbs
s7 is /home 5120 MB
We have 2 drives c1t0d0 and c1t1d0
OK heres the steps i took in order:

Then repeated for 2nd drive slices using d20, d21 etc

Then edited /etc/vfstab for the mirrored partitions:

/dev/md/dsk/d3 /dev/md/rdsk/d3 /u01 ufs 1 no logging
/dev/md/dsk/d7 /dev/md/rdsk/d7 /home ufs 1 no logging
Then rebooted, and this is where the errors appeared. According to the destructions I was following I should then attach the other disks slices to the mirror using metattach, but I can't because it won't boot into solaris.
Am I missing some steps?

Hi,
In SAP, when the sub-sequent document is existing , we can not cancel the preceeding document. Therefore if you want to cancel the billing document you need to calcel the documents which are created with reference to that.

When I created RAID 5 for hard disks, CIMC shows Modrate fault.
The warring message is
storage virtual drive 0 degraded: please check the storage controller, or reseat the storage drive ucs

The warning message appears if you do not have a Battery BAckup Unit Instllated on the server. I just worked with Cisco TAC and following is the solution.:
1. Launch KVM Console of the server
2. Power Cycle the Server
3. When LSI RAID configuration window displays, press CTRL+H and start the RAID Configuration Utility.
4. Click on Virtual Drive. Example Virtual Drive 0.
5. Change Default Write Mode to "Write Through" and click "Change"
6. Press "Yes" to take the effect.
7. Exit from RAID Configuration Utility nad restart the server.

Delivery quantity need not be exceed, After creating STO-PO in TCODE VL02N

While we do PGI / SAVE after the changing the delivery quantity in Tab "Picking", it need to be checked that delivery quantity not be exceed then quantity entered while STO PO has been created for that particular PO.
Means, in transaction VL02n when we changes the Delivery quantity of tab "Picking" it should be equal or less then PO quantity,...
When user put more picking quantity then it shows error that "it has been exceed" and it is working properly as well......
But Problem I do have that user increase the Delivery quantity and put the picking quantity in terms of it so system is accepting this things..... but the Stock transport Order (STO) of that particular Purchase Order quantity is same as when created....
And the requirement is that it is not increased then STO PO quantity.....
So please please help to find out this solution whether this is solved using BAdI or USER_EXIT....or any other solution please gurus ....I am facing this problem since long but can not find the solution ....I dont have that much experince in SAP-ABAP

See Note 415716 - User exits in delivery processing. I think that USEREXIT_READ_DOCUMENT can work for your requirement. The question is fix a good filter to avoid problems in performance. For instance:
CHECK ylikp-lfart = 'NL'.
CHECK t180-trtyp = 'V' . "ONLY CHANGE
and so on.
Set the check:
IF xlips-lfimg > ylips-lfimg.
MESSAGE e(xxx)yy with....
ENDIF.
Remember check the UoM. If you don't have experience with ABAP, look for an ABAPer.
If you don't have experience with userexits, please read carefully notes 381348 Using user exit, customer exit, VOFM in SD and 178328 Problems due to incorrect user exits in SD.

Hi Christoph,
From the article you mentioned, it needs add JPG file type to Search Service Application, which was not supported for SharePoint online.
I tried to add Picture content type to normal document library and tested the issue, it still displayed as item in Search results.
However, if I created a Picture Library and add Document content type to it, both image and document can be previewed in search result.

OC4j10.1.2CMP bean not updating field after creating a record in the table.

I have a simple table in Oracle 9i database:

( shown in pgm below).

so this morning in preparing to upload a PL project for you, I
decided to try a new test PL project with different footage. The one I
played with this morning ("GrandCanyon_1.plproj" in the Folder
"Prelude_test") seems to work fine! I threw in some markers, saved, closed
PL, re-opened PL and the markers were there.
So I did the same thing using some footage from the project that I posted
about (ingested some footage, placed a sub clip marker, saved, closed,
re-opened), and the markers were gone. Perhaps it has to do with the source
footage?
Anyhow, I'm uploading the files to my ftp if you want to check them out.
They should be uploaded by 10am central.

Can I create RAID 1 mirror without ERASE ing drive?

Hi!
Simple enough, I have a nearly new 1TB (call it HD2) and decided to add an identical one (call it HD3) and create a mirrored RAID in the MacPro (everything is backed up externally).
Drive HD2 is half full with client photographs and stuff, and I would like to drag it into a RAID set with the new drive HD3.
When I do that I'm prompted to erase the drive. Is there a way to create a RAID without the erase?
By the way, would using a RAID0 be a better option perhaps? I really like the ability to just unplug a duff drive and swap for a good blank one and let the computer do its stuff. That's already come in handy once this year with a failed ext drive!

Good backups (2 per volume) are more useful.
Creating a RAID destroys the data on the drives.
A mirror for 24/7 uptime and where live recording is essential. In which case, 3, not 2, drives in a mirror are your best bet, and using $149 program SoftRAID.

My Dows iMac does not Boot up into the OS nor into the DVD after creating..

I ended up in strange situation where iMac doesn't even Boot, neither from the HD nor from the DVD, I ended up with this problem after creating a Bootcamp partition on my iMac.
I tried all the possible troubleshooting methods given in the Apple trouble shooting guide. but no use.
the current state of my iMAC is when start it it simple displays the blank white screen and doesn't progress any further.
and when I reboot the machine and hold the C button, it displays a faint folder icon in the center.
please help me , if any one has encountered the same problem.

If you start up with the Option key, as far as I remember, there is no mouse icon. You may need to use the arrow keys to select a bootable disk.
OK, holding down the mouse button is the accepted (and correct) way to eject a disk at startup.
Try putting in the disk before startup. Then hold down the C key when you press the power button. It can take a time to read an install disk. However, if it is not reading the disk there may be more problems.
Have you tried a safe boot: Use the Shift key at start.
Serious Stuff:
I know you are new to Macs, but as an alternative, try to startup and hold down the Command + S keys. This should put you into single user mode and it will all look like a black screen with white writing. When it stops you should see a $ sign -- this is the command line. As a first step, just type in the single word - reboot - and press the return key.
If that works we can try something else.
It may be, of course, that while creating your Boot Camp partition, you erased everything. Great care needs to be taken with these functions. That would not, however, prevent the disk from booting.

Install Solaris 11 on a RAID-1 mirror ZFS pool?

I've searched docs.oracle.com about Solaris 11 and didn't see any related info.
I am installing the new Solaris 11 on my Dell Tower desktop workstation with two 3TB SATA hard drives.
I am planning to construct one RAID-1 mirror with ZFS just like previous Solaris 10 x86 installation.
After using lots of installation media of Solaris 11, I didn't find the options to create RAID-1 mirror on ZFS root partition / pool.
Could someone give me a hint or I must roll back to Solaris 10 again?

^^ that's the main problem. Here's the full history.
I bought a new 13" i5 MBP, early 2011 edition. I had an old white Macbook 2.14 ghz core2duo on Snow Leopard. I attempted to port over my time machine backup, but encountered problems in that my User was inaccessible from the new computer after the import finished, and I had to go in and change the root password, etc, and for some reason or another, I couldn't install any programs at all from that administrator's account. By "couldn't" I mean I could install them, but upon installation they would never boot. So, I took it to the apple store and did a clean install from the most up to date Lion OSX. Then, I created a brand new admin account, instead of trying to import the old one, and things seemed great. Then, I just imported my old files from the TM backup, but not any system settings, permissions, or user data. Just my Docs, pics, vids, apps, and itunes stuff.
Here's where things get weird again. I imported this stuff under the name "old", but all of these folders have a red negative sign on them, marking them as restricted. So, from my main admin account, I cannot even peruse these folders. Since I didn't import user data, I can't sign in to the "old" account to change permissions. I already tried to change the permissions from system preferences, but that didn't change anything. And now, for whatever reason, of all the apps that were imported then, MS Office is the only set of apps that does not work. When I click on it, it just says there was a problem and asks if I'd like to send a report to apple. I tried reinstalling it to no avail. I'm an English student, so i really need access to Word. Can anyone help? The Apple store is a major detour for me and would like to fix this issue myself.

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

Cure for crash after creating a RAID group on external drives?

I tried creating a RAID 1 mirror group on a pair of Western Digital Studio LX Firewire-attached 2 TB external drives (new), and Lion crashed with the RAID code on the stack (according to the crash report). The system always crashes the same way if I connect even one of the drives, at boot time or later. The RAID group was of the whole drives, not a pair of partitions. I was using a Mac Mini, but I expect my MacBook, also running Lion, will crash the same way, if I try to attach the drives to repartion them. I suppose I can attach the drives via USB to a Linux box to clobber the partition tables.
Is there a way to set up RAID 1 on Lion which does not lead to an immediate crash?
I have been a happy Mac user, but shipping with RAID 1 being so badly broken is really careless. I expect a lot better.

I set up a mirror raid on two external USB drives, and set to 256k under osx 10.7.5 then got the full melt down
and the same every time i tried to reformat the drives.
I did notice a slight moment of time when opening disk utility before the crash!
The following worked for me.
Start the computer, insert just one of the USB or Firewire drives then open disk utility.
Here is the key point as fast as you can select the drive icon as soon as it appears on the left and hit the erase option
don't worry about the type of format select the t hit the erase button as quickly as you can and again as the prompt comes up are you sure you want to erase the disk.
Then repeat again on the second drive and then start the raid set up over again with blocks set at 128k.
Probably advised to unmount all other drives so you do not accidentally format the wrong drive given this is all about haste.
Really hope this helps and think it through as to how it relates to your set up.

OC4J not running after creating workspace and projects.

Created one workspace and added six projects. Added PostGes jar to library manager. Before doing this, the OC4J would run a test application successfully. After creating the workspace and project, I created another simple workspace with two JSP, on linked to the other. When trying to run this project get the following:

Remove the posgres jar from the library manager and still not able to run simple two page applications.
All the projects in the other workspace compile fine. The prolblem is that now I am not able to use the internal OC4J. I remove the workspace with the five projects, and the JARs and the two page app will not run.
The OC4J is running when launched from the IDE, ti just can find the pages.
New install of JDEV and the two page app will run fine. Add two user two user libraries and the app will not run.

Do you have a database connection to postgress defined in JDeveloper?
JDev might be picking this up and trying to add a datasource for it to the embedded OC4J - so try removing it, or alternatively add the postgress JDBC driver jar files to the libraries node under tools->embedded OC4J preferences.

After upgrade to Lion, iPhoto will not save events nor save albums after created.

After upgrade to Lion, iPhoto will not save events nor save albums after created. Once iPhoto is shut down and re-launched, albums and events created no longer exist. How can this be fixed?
Also, when attempting to create cards, iPhoto freezes.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Not Enough Memory To Create U_memTrackedObject, after effects error

Im doing basic keying of 10 minute hdv 1080i footage, with keylight. The background image is a 1080x1920 png still image. My macbook handles this same project just fine everyweek. Now my new mac pro can't do it. 20% percent into the export I receive the following errors.
"Not Enough Memory To Create U_memTrackedObject, (3k requested, 0 available)" then "not enough memory to create sound buffer," and sometimes "unable to allocate space for a 712x 402 image buffer." And after the errors appear, they will not go away unless i force quit the program.
I've adjusted the secret setting and some other settings to trouble shoot but just can't figure it out.

Thanks! the update worked and my render completed in record time! I'll do some more tests to verify. I dont know why the "adobe updater" didn't fetch this update tho on either of my machines. Or maybe i just clicked cancel everytime
