Darwin screen- cant get passed it. Help.....????
when i start up my computer instead of going to the OSX login screen it starts into a terminal screen reading:

no matter how I start up the computer it comes to that screen...anybody have an idea of how i can get around it and now a loud Boeing 747 fan noise...

The disk repairs/verifies successfully with Disk Utility?
Loud fan is your computer automatically running fan at full speed to avoid overheating since the software that controls fan speed is not loading either.
As long as there's no directory corruption I'd say probably the easiest fix is to do an Archive and Install, making sure you save users and preferences.

You can not "take an iPhone" to get it legitimately unlocked. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it, whch is done through iTunes by you.
Whoever you took it to hacked it. It is now most likely permanently bricked.

I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine. -

Changing iphone with the girlfriend and cant get phones right help
me and my girlfriend changed iphones both are 16gb 3Gs's and on the newest ios and when we restored the back ups we made after changing sim cards everything is right the photo's and contacts and text but we cant seem to get the apps we had back onto the other phone or music also she has more then just the photo's she has taken and no matter what we try we cant get the apps or her photo's on to the iphones can someone help?
let me see if i can clear things up a bit. i got the white 3Gs about a month ago and she has had a black one for over a year and half now. she loves music and her personal modeling pictures. I on the other hand just use it to text call and a few apps mainly facebook. and recently her ipod on the phone will randomly stop playing or change songs so being the nice guy i am i gave her my practically new 3Gs. no back to the problem we both backed up our iphones and then swiched sim cards and then restored from the last back ups. the Problem tho is all my apps are still on her phone and no matter what we do to when we try to resync her phone back to her account it wont add her apps to the phone or delete mine. the onlything things that have changed are the contact, the actual photo's taken by the iphone and back grounds. what i mean as in her photo's wont sync back to the her new phone is her personal modeling photo's that she keeps on her laptop they are selected and everything but when its done syncing they are not on the phone just the photo's taken by the iphone same goes for the apps the music we figured out tho

Have been Firefox user many years. Had to uninstall Windows7. On reinstall Windows asked me to choose default browser, chose Crome. Registered and signed in with Firefox .Have not received promised email.Tried twice.Therefor cant start using Firefox as cant get past Start page.

There is a form on the welcome page to sign up for the newsletter, but you do not need to wait to use Firefox on the web. You should be able to search using the search bar, or address bar, or the built-in home page (possibly a second tab behind or next to the welcome page). Try clicking the home button (house icon on the main toolbar).
If the welcome page keeps coming back every time you restart Firefox, that might be caused by a different issue, a problem updating your settings. Is that the problem? -
I've recently been given an ipad by my sister as she has a newer version and after doing a restore so that the ipad was started from scratch with none of her stuff on it anymore i started it up only to find i couldnt get passed the terms and conditions section.
i can see at the bottom the disagree and agree buttons but cannot actually select either so cannot proceed.
ive tried restoring again via itunes on my laptop, also tried reboot and restarting the ipad and still the same issue occurs.restart your router and ipad.

Hello All,
I was getting a numbered error message and followed the instructions on: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Error-Code-0x8004fd2b/td-p/96430, as it had worked for everyone else on that thread. Unfortunately for me, it caused a different problem (and I'm still not able to sych).
Now when I go to sync, it says: "your organizer data isn't configured for sychronization" then it says "click configure to ..." but when i click configure, and then click configure settings (under synchronization settings in the organizer tab) , it just says "operation is in progress. please wait" but after 1 second it stops and nothing else happens.
I just went from 5.0 to 6.0 thinking it would help, but no luck. T-Mobile customer support is of no help. Cant get passed comcast inbox preview screen.
I have a toshiba netbook running windows 7. Everything worked before updating to firefox 10.0. My other computers have updated to 10.00 without this problem. I can use internet explorer on this computer and comcast email works fine. I've removed firefox 10.0 and re-install it several time, but still have this problem.
Switch to the Xfinity Connect Lite interface in Xfinity preferences when using IE. Then you will be able to get beyond the Preview Inbox.

I have a HP Dv7-3085 and no matter what I try I cant pass repeated BSOD. The laptop will not start up no matter what. So I ordered Restor disks and they will not work. I have tried boot from cd rom, no luck. I have checked bios memory it is good. It will not even start in safe mode. F11 sytem recovers just gives another Blue screen. The bsod error I continuosly receive is Page_fault_In_NONPAGED_AREA. Ive been at this for days I cant find any help online. Any help would be very appreciated.
Is there any kind of error number associated with the BSOD?

Ok, I have a Mac g4, os9. ..450 Processor. I Think I upgraded ram, can't remember. Maybe a 512 card. Added an 80 gig internal HD for music storage. Computer was solely used for protools LE 5. I knew I was kinda close on my memory for running the program after recording things with plug ins etc. It was beginning to get slow at startup. Anyway it's been a couple years since I used it. I got it set up yesterday and it wouldn't launch and kept giving me error code 10. So I replaced the battery and tried again. the small finder icon in middle of screen would then pop up and alternate with a "?". Then it would change to a pict of a hard drive disk and then a me alternating "?". It would still give me the error code if I clicked on anything. So I then held down the shift key to turn off extensions as it had mentionEd to do a couple times. Still would give me the error code on my home page. If I tried to get into my hd which is on desktop it would give me the message, but somehow it did open one occasion and I went into it and scrolled to disk verify and repair. Did it. Said things were fine. I then saved the results in a file which was then offered along with location. I chose desktop. Probably really bad idea in hind sight.. It did it, but now no matter if I turn extensions off, the home screen pops up but then goes blank. The hard drive icon along with the new folder, and my protools icon immediately dissapear. And it freezes. at one point a message did pop up saying finder could not start up because there is not enough memory available. I'm not a computer guy. Ive tried finding the guy who helped me set this thing up 10 years ago but to no avail. If I can be guided to somehow uncover some of the unneeded memory usage I would then learn how to more efficiently use it. How the heck do I even start. I can't get to a screen which shows what's eating my computers space to even start getting rid of unneeded stuff. Please help if you can. I have so much to loose if I can't get it to work. Btw...I no longer have the os9 disk. I think it was tossed 10 years ago or more. May not even have my original pro tools disks anymore. Uggh.

Ipad2 lost w-fi connection and i cant get it back, help!!
I've got a problem with my ipad2. Since last weekend its stopped being able to connect to the internet. Every time i try to connect it says 'unable to join network'. I've tried resetting the router, and the ipads network settings, and rebooting the ipad itself. I also tried turning the wi-fi off in ipad settings then turning off the ipad. When i rebooted the ipad, it had automatically turned the wi-fi back on, and as before it says 'not connected'. Attempting to join my network with password brings up 'cannot connect to network'. And nothing works. My laptop (using same wi-fi) and PC connect and can get online just fine and all the router lights are green. My router is a Netgear DG834G. Any ideas?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
