Dashboard Disply Error..

Hi All,
we are integated OBIEE 11g into Siebel.when we login via Siebel one dashboard displying error.Except one all is working fine.

Dashboard Display Error
Invalid item name () -- not allowed to be empty
Error Details
Error Codes: UFGUIEZK
But this is dashbaord displying login Via BI.

Actually we are using BI Apps 7.9.6.3.when integrate BI into Siebel all Out of box Dashboards working properly. I build three new Dashboards. These three dashboard showing Errors. Three dashboards are working properly in DEV. Today we deploy the RPD and Catalog DEV to PROD.
I am using zip/unzip process for moving Catalog Objects. We are using 11.1.16.10 version
I developed three dashboards using Admin privileges (weblogic) user.

Dashboard Display Error

Hi Gurus,
I getting error while accessing sub dashboard.I have Dashboard Name as Sales and i have sub dashboard underneath Sales says S1,S2,S3 and each sub dashboards has dashboard pages respectively.So when i select S1 sub dashboard it throws me error as

and when i select S2,S3 it shows me dashboard pages fine doesn't give me any error.I restarted all my services but no luck.This error throws only if i enter with user id and password but it doesn't throw error if enter as Administrator.
Can you guys let me know what is error meant by and if any one have faced such scenario.
I really appreciate your help.

Does the user have the same read/write rights on the server as the administrator?
Is there a query limitation based on the user credentials?

Dashboard compilation error

Dear all,
I'm trying to run the dashboard application that comes as an
example with flex builder 2.0, But as the file compiles, an error
dialogue box comes out saying that the SWF file can't access the
XML file for some security reason.
Do you have any idea how to fix this? Is this a common thing
that happens to users or is it just me?

SharePoint PPS 2013 Dashboard Designer error "Please check the data source for any unsaved changes and click on Test Data Source button"

Hi,
I am getting below error in SharePoint PPS 2013 Dashboard Designer. While create the Analysis Service by using "PROVIDER="MSOLAP";DATA SOURCE="http://testpivot2013:9090/Source%20Documents/TestSSource.xlsx"
"An error occurred connecting to this data source. Please check the data source for any unsaved changes and click on Test Data Source button to confirm connection to the data source. "
I have checked all the Sites and done all the steps also. But still getting the error.Its frustrating like anything. Everything is configured correctly but still getting this error.

Dashboard Designer Error - You do not have sufficient permissions to complete the request.

Hi all
I have created a PerformancePoint Data Source library and a PerformancePoint Reports list on a SharePoint site. The PerformancePoint site collection and site features are also both activated. The data source library is in
the 'trusted data soruces' list in administration. Existing reports I have created show OK on the site.
When user, who has full control of the entire site, clicks "add a new item" in the BI Reports list, SharePoint launches Dashboard Designer OK.
The problem is when Dashboard Designer loads, it does not load the existing data sources & reports. Clicking on the refresh icon results in the error:
You do not have sufficient permissions to complete the request.
If I add this user to the Site Collection Administrators list, the user can refresh and view the data sources & reports OK. Is this a requirement to create reports in Dashboard Designer? It is not acceptable to set all
our report designer users as the site collection administrator.

Have you also tried to assign rights using the technique mentioned in the above given document (i.e. using Dashboard Designer):
Important To assign or change user permissions for dashboard items, you must have
Full Control permissions. Although you can create and publish dashboard items with
Design permissions, you cannot assign or change permissions for dashboard items unless you also have
Full Control (Site) or Site Collection Administrator permissions.
Use the SharePoint Permissions dialog box to assign or change user permissions for a dashboard item. You can open the
SharePoint Permissions dialog box from Dashboard Designer or from the SharePoint list or document library that contains the dashboard item. The following sections describe both methods.
Edit user permissions in Dashboard Designer
In the Workspace Browser, click PerformancePoint Content or
Data Connections, depending on the item that you want to modify. Then, in the center pane, double-click the dashboard item to open it for editing.
In the ribbon, click the Home tab, locate the Item group, and then click
Permissions. A browser window opens, which enables you to view or change the SharePoint permissions for the dashboard item that you opened.
Use the SharePoint permissions dialog box to modify the user permissions for your dashboard item, and then save your changes.

Please tell us if this approach shows different permissions assigned and solves your problem.

Dashboard showing Error (! Error : Response from server contained an error)

Hi All,
We are facing a problem while accessing the dashboard page, when user log's in and access the dashboard page.
At this point the report start rendering, after sometime during the report rendering process we use to get this error on top of the dashboard page.After this error there were not output for any of the report on that dashboard page.
At times when user switch the page and come back to this page, reports shows the result.But most of the time user has to logout and login back, but same problem use to persist.
I have gone through with NQS Server.log and NSQ Query log., dint helped much.
Any suggestion or guidance will be really helpful.

No Rhys, I have not done any kind of changes in repository, This error is suddenly start coming up..and its more frequent now..I am not sure whats happening..Is it coz of the more data load and the server is not able to process the request..but i am not able to figure out anything from the log's.
Once the error is there the user have to either switch between the pages , or have to logout and logback in..Earlier user use to do that to avoid this..But for some days even after loggin back in is not helping..
Also i have noticed one more thing, when i run the report in the Citrix server..the probablity of error is very less.
However when user run the report from there machine, they are frequently getting the error.

Visual Composer Dashboards authorisation error in portal

I created dashboard reports using Vusial Composer.
In portal i got authorisation for portal content & system admi and VC role...when i execute dashbpards there are running good.
I created a test user with required authorisation in BW and in portal he is assigned iwth Z role in which bw reports are published in iviews and dashboars and VC role
When he tries to executes dashboad following error accours
Failed to connect to backend system.Check your system definition and user previlages
What am i missing

Hi,
this seems to be a permission issue. One guess: the test-user needs execute-permissions for the BI-System object. Check if this is the case.
If not have a look in your default-trace if there is a permission-related exception.

Reset button in Dashboard showing error

Hi,
I have placed the code for reset button in the text box and checked the HTML Markup
And in the dashboard the Reset Prompts is displayed. When i click the button its showing the below error.
*"The page cannot be found*
*The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."*
Can anyone help why its giving error like this?

Dashboard Widget Error in SAP B1 8.81 PL-08

Hi Experts,
I have installed the SAP B1 integration component and establish the connection of B1D1 and JDBC connection with company database and clicked on Test connection and it runs successfully.But when clicked on Dashboard Widget from General Settings->Cockpit-click on checkbox of Enable Dashboard Widget then it gives error "Install SAP Business One Integration Service before enabling Dashboard widget."
Please give me solution asap.

Could be a firewall or antivirus issue as the dashboard uses active x.

A working Dashboard suddenly errors out "Error #2032"

Hi Experts,
We have a dashboard which was working completely fine until couple of weeks back, This dashboard is a big one and it pulls in data from 19 different QAAWS.
When the user selects his values, the data is shown on different parts of the report, but few parts of the report (few graphs) are blank and after a wait time of 5-7 min the user gets an error "Cannot Access External Data, Error #2032".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Vasu,
As per the error message screenshot only 1 query is failing.
You could confirm the query by checking the mapping the components which are coming blank.
Copy the WSDL URL of the affected Qaaws connection and create a sample dashboard using the same query and check if it works fine.
Also you could validate the WSDL URL by pasting it in the browser. An xml format file should appear if it depolyed properly.

my dashboards with prompts show errors, they work fine.. but there is an error icon in the status bar that shows the following:

After the installation were you able to start the OBIEE services and open the RPD in Online Mode?
That should have been your first test to see if you had completed the installation correctly in regards to being able to create a new repository (RPD).
You should be able to do this still. Start all BI Services. Then open the Admin Tool and open the the Online repository using the "weblogic" (or user you created during the installation) user credentials
If you can connect then you may have something wrong with your installation.

Can't open Dashboard Design - Error with Excel

HIi, I can't open an already created Dashboard Design beacuse when I'm going to open it, it appears the following error: " Couldn't connect to Microsoft Excel. To avoid the damage of the data, the program should by close."
Anyone of you have the same problem? I need help!

Hi,
It appears that your current Excel program is corrupted.
2 solutions :
- Show task control panel (CTRLALTDEL) and kill all the processus linked to EXCEL
or
- reboot your computer to kill all the EXCEL processus hidden which cause your error.
Run again Dashboard Design and tell us if it's running correctly.

Dashboard visiting error when using OBIEE IPAD client

When I using IPAD client of OBIEE to visit the OBIEE dashboard(OBIEE11.1.1.5),always the first page can show us correctly,but when I change the dashboard page,the dashboard will show error , but all those pages were showed correctly in PC.

There are several reasons this problem may occur. jkuhns nailed one -- another reason is if you're tying to make videos too large for the device. The maximum resolution the iPad supports for video is 1080p. Please make sure you're using something sized correctly and H.264 encoded.

Dashboard(Graphs) error

Hi Experts
Can you please advise me on how can i resolve the following errors in my dashboard(Graphs)
I had a dashboard report with 7 different graphs,These graphs(web items) are data bided (WAD) with
2 queries and 5 views generated on those 2 queries.
Issue 1
There is a user entry variable on Cal Year/Month in those 2 queries and when i execute 2 queries it prompts me to entry cal month/year.....But that variable is not displaying when i execute views or dashboard report.
Issue2
When i execute the query it is showing me latest avaliable data...where a views are not displaying latest available data...do i need to make any setting in the view to auto refresh
Issue3
Currently my dashboard report doesn't had any user entry variable screen...but my requirment is to have a user entry screen...what is the web item i have to use and
As i mentioned i had 2 diff reports in the same dash or template...both having same selection variables....ex: Cal year/Month
How can i map the same web item to 2 queries

In your template there will be a checkbox for "Force Variable Screen " use this to force variable entry

There is no web item for user entry for variales as I know it - you will have to use the variable screen of the queries for the same.
How can i map the same web item to 2 queries
Use the same data provider for both web items so that they can use the same query.
