Dashboard image link with repository variable "script injection" warning.

Hello,
in order to make the migration easier we want to parameterize the URLs so they are centrally managed in the repository and not on every single dashboard page.
Since I figured out the following works for a dashboard text item:
'@{biServer.variables['NQ_SESSION.ROLES']}'
I just placed the same in the URL textbox for the image link
'@{biServer.variables['NQ_SESSION.MYURLCONSTANT']}'
Then I get a "script injection" popup warning. Has anyone seen that before?
The same happens when I try VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.MYURLCONSTANT)
I did not find anything by googling.
How else to parameterize the URL´s?

I don't get any unresponsive script. It's best that the consumer contacts us as each case is different.
Some things you can suggest:
*Update to the latest version of Adobe Flash <br>
*Clear cache and cookies <br>

Runtime error in linking with static variables....

Hi,
I am building a shared library which includes a compiled object generated from a class containing the static variables only and also I have another version of same class with same & some new static variables in it and using that to generate another shared library. Now when I tried to run a program
which links with both the library it core dumps when it tries to return from the program i.e when it finishes.
Can someone please help me explain why my program is behaving like that?? Can duplicate inculsion of static variables in different scope can cause problem ?? How can this be avoided ?
Also please be advised that the class with static variables gets generated at the compile time using a script which uses a DTD whose version (specification) can be different in both the libraries therefore I can't just seperate the common stuff into one class and specific into another.

Slow Query over Database Link with Bind Variable

I have a query over a DB link, with all tables on the remote database.
If I use a bind variable (from Toad), the query takes 4 minutes. If I replace the bind variable with a constant or substitution variable, it takes 1 second.
The query runs fine when run directly on the remote database using bind variable.

What's happened is you have an execution plan that differs from the one with the constant. Why? My bet is that Oracle "peeked" at the bind variable to help it decide which execution plan to build. It then cached it. It probably cached an execution with an index when it should be doing a full table scan or a hash join instead of a nested loop. It's hard to say specifically what it is.
Try this, flush your shared pool and rerun the query with the bind and let us know if it takes 1 second or 4 minutes. If it takes 1 second, then that was probably it.

Issue with repository variable in OBIEE 11g

Hi
While i am using repository variable directly in filter it is working fine, but when i am using 'repository variable -1' in filter then it is throughing error as 'repository variable -1' is not present.
Can't we use - , + on repository varaibles in filters.Can anyone help me.

Preboot imaging messing with the computername script

I have created a Windows 7 image with sysprep/unattend.xml : licensing, vbs script that change the computername to serial and last runonceex installing drivers, novell client and zenwork agent then cleanup and reboot.
I use a vmware snapshot made in sysprep audit mode to be able to test it.
The image works greate every time when running the finished image in vmware from capture ready snapshot but when capturing it with img -mp and later booting the image the computername script does'nt work as it should.
The ZW agent and computername is set but... when right klicking Computer then properties, computer name said that "(the new name will be set after next reboot)", only when relogin 1-2 times as administrator.
I have tried to automate one more reboot, modify the order of computername script to run erlier etc.
I use the removemask to disable SIDchanger so that only sysprep takes care of it, first because I guessed a SID conflict was creating my problem, without any luck.
I know it's a bit blur info of my problem but I wonder if "maybe someone" have had a simular problem as me?
Maybe you got any ideas of why?

This look like the same issue I have.
I did'nt understand exactly what the fix in the thread was but I make my image from a snapshot taken in audit mode on a new installed win7 after shift+ctrl+f3 during welcome wizard. I have installed a few hotfixes, sp1 and my installation scripts.
The image is a scripted unattend solution that drag all drivers, clients and ZCM agent from smb shares and exept the name "feature" every thing else works perfectly.
I pxeboot machine in to zcm bash and capture it with "img -mp imagename.zmg".
If I look at the vm before sysprep I have one driver in device manager that is not installed but is this an issue?

Getting Rid of Standard Colored Links Around Image Links

I have included several images on my CS4 Dreamweaver site
that link to other pages, sites, etc. when clicked. An unexpected
and annoying standard blue (active), purple (visited), etc. link
border appears around the image when viewed in IE and AOL browsers.
These do not appear in Live View in CS4. How do I get rid of this
annoyance?

Intermittent image link behaviour in iOS mail client

We use image links with a mailto reference for mobil approvals. For some reason the links occasionally do not behave as links but instead are processed only has an image, meaning the save image / copy menu pops up opposed to an email draft. I have stripped the html email down to the bare minimum but still happens. Same mail works fine on some phones/ipads. Any thoughts much appreciated.

I have the same problem. iPhone 4 is on iOS 5.1 (9B176) and iPad 2 on iOS 5.1 (9B176). I have seen someone with an iPhone 4S that apparently did not have that problem (there the menu also has an "open" option). Also I noticed that if you touch the icon before the image has finished loading (so with a very large image), it actually does open the URL, but once the image has been loaded, it assumes that you want to save or copy the image.

Help using repository variable in dashboard text

Hi,
we have a dashboard section that shows current announcements regarding data issues, etc. This is just using a plain text object on the dashboard. I need to add the following to the top of the text: "Data loaded on xx/xx/xxxx".
I've created a static repository variable called "DW_LOAD_DATE" and populated it with the proper date/time.
I'm 100% able to use this in an answers query, but I'm stuck trying to figure out how to get it to show up in a dashboard plain text section with no Answers behind it. I've tried:
{biserver.variables['DW_LOAD_DATE']}
@{biserver.variables['DW_LOAD_DATE']}
{biserver.variables[DW_LOAD_DATE]}
@{biserver.variables[DW_LOAD_DATE]}
In all cases, the only thing that shows up is the exact text from above - the substitution isn't being done properly. Can someone help, I'm obviously doing something dumb.

Ok, I got the following to work (kind of):
@{biServer.variables['DW_LOAD_DATE']}
I was thrown off because the "preview" window shows it as the above string without doing the variable substitution.
Now my last question - the above variable is stored as a TIMESTAMP, because in some cases we need to know the time in addition to the date. When it's showing in the dashboard text, I see the following:
Data was last loaded on TIMESTAMP '2011-01-06 18:00:00'
Is there a simple way to format this so it shows up like:
Data was last loaded on 1/6/2011 18:00:00

[FM11] Print Image Link and Index Markers with specific Character Style

Hello,
I'm new with scripting for Framemaker. I want to export FM docs to RTF so I can import these into InDesign. For the placed images I want to insert a text line that is showing the image link (reference). Besides that I want to show the Index Markers at the mark insertion position with a different Character Style. Can someone help me with that?

One note about your method to retrieve all linked graphics: this will also process the graphics that might be linked into the master and reference pages. Just to be safe against unwanted side effects you should restrict your list of graphics to the ones in the main flow of your document.
About the tLoc: you are really looking for the anchor of the anchored frame that contains graphic. It is a little confusing that FM calls both the anchored frame and the imported graphic by the same name. Even if you add an anchored frame to the text to put an equation or a text box in your document, the anchored frame will show up in the linked list of graphics in the document. If you do have an anchored frame containing an imported graphic file, you have a list of graphic objects inside the anchored frame, which itself appears in the list of graphic objects of the document.
This function should do what you want to do:

I assume you will also want to remove the anchored frames (the imported image files) from the text. This can be done in the same routine, but you must first catch the following element in the linked list of graphics in the doc before you can delete the current one. Otherwise you will only remove the first and end up with an invalid object. The easiest and safest method to do this is to create an array of elements to be deleted. After ending the while loop, you delete those objects. The full code looks like this:

Image Link Problem with Dreamweaver CS4?

On my website, I have several images that link to other parts on my website. These work no problem when I preview the site, but after I test the links, the images that had those links have purple outlines that really clash with my website's design. Will users see this if they click on my links, and then return to the page? I'm using CS4 right now, and never recalled having this issue come up when using MX. Thanks for the help.

I got stuck on this one too - not realising that Dreamweaver automatically palces a border on every image link - but the simplest way I found was to have my "Properties" panel showing on the bottom and input 0 into the "Border" box. By having this panel open you can see if you have accidently applied any styles to the image, where it links to, Image size attributes and the Image name.

Image with link functions in Firefox, half of the image/link is active in Chrome, image/link dead in Safari

I have a page with 2 nav links originating from 2 different images. 1 image / link works well with Firefox, Chrome and Safari. The other image / link works well with firefox, only half of the image is active in Chrome and none of the image is active in safari. The documents links checkout fine. I have replaced the image, the container as well as relinked. The result is the same. Can someone help please? #1 On the web file names cannot contain special characters like apostrophes. <a href="Kiki'sDeliveryService.html"> is not a valid file name. You need to rename without the apostrophe.
#2 This link is pointing to a file on your local hard drive which nobody except you can see.

How the repository variable work on the dashboard report in static text

I would like to display something like the below on the dashboard prompts in static text.
The Data extracted as of <repository variable>
I created a repository variable which extracts the last updated date of the warehouse.
The static message on the dashboard should show as above where repository variable should be the last updated date from the warehouse.
I appreciate if anyone can help me do this.

1) Put an extra column in your workspace. It doesn't matter what column you choose. Drag this column all the way to the left so it is the first column in your Request.
2) Click on the fx button and delete the contents.
3) Click on the "variable" button on the bottom right of the fx window, select "repository variable" and then type the name of the repository variable you created.
4) Go to the Narrative View.
5) Type the text, "Data extracted as of" and then type @1.
6) Change the "Rows to display" (right-side of the Narrative View window) to 1.
7) Add this view to your Compound Layout.

New Repository variable failing with 'Unresolved Identifier' error

I created a new repository variable and when used in the Segments/Reports it is failing with 'Unresolved Identifier' error. This is happening intermittently and sometimes it is getting the results as expected, Can you please let me know where I am wrong?

Couple things to check here are :
1) Make sure you have spelled the variable name correct.
2) Make sure you are using the repository variables with appropriate data type columns.

TextImage shows links with chainlink image. Why?

The TextImage component shows my links with chainlink image. Why? Even in preview mode, it shows the chainlink image and the links are not clickable.
See the bottom-right of the attached image. How can I fix the links?
