  • Storing location of Dashboard and Reports

    Hi,
I have created some dashboards and reports on data. But the database is no longer exists in my system. But I want get the reports which I have created. Can someone tell me where the reports and Dashboards are stored in the system?

To view them login to answers and check in 'My Folder', this would be the default folder for any user.
    For 10g BI:
To see physical location catalog folder would be at C:\OracleBIData\web\catalog\
For user specific reports are saved at, the below location is to see files based on created date.
    <YourcatalogName>\root\users\<UserID>
    For 11g BI: OFM/bifoundation/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips$INST_NUM/catalog/<YourcatalogName>

  • Cannot find dashboard and reports after upgrading rdp from 10g to 11g OBIEE

    Hi all
I am trying to upgrade from OBIEE 10g to 11g. These two products are installed on different servers. I have followed the guide: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2011/11-jul/o41bi-402913.html and everything seems to work fine.
So i have taken a copy of rdp from the server where was installed OBIEE 10g and took it in the server where OBIEE 11g is installed.
Ran the upgrade tool and upgrade finished successfully. Restarted the BI Servers in core application on Enterprise Manager.
Now when i access the upgraded rpd, the layers and the fields are fine but I cannot find all the reports and dashboards that i had created.
Am I missing any upgrade steps?
    Please suggest
    Thank you and best regards

    Hi Deepak,
    Thanks for your response.
Oracle also came back to me and looks like my method is not valid:
    Hi Jim,
Thanks a lot for the information. First of all I would like to inform you that upgrade CANNOT be performed across two machine. So, if 10g installation is on Host A, then upgrade to 11g will be on Host A.
So, in your scenario this is what you can do:
    1. On Host A running Forms/Discoverer 10g on Windows 2003, install Forms/Discoverer/Reports 11g (11.1.1.6.0)
    2. Run the upgrade Assistant to perform the upgrade from 10g to 11g.
    3. Now upgrade OS of Host A to Windows 2008
In short, I would like to inform you that upgrades across machines does not work. Source instance which is 10g and destination instance which is 11g must exist on same box.
Here is the documentation which you can follow:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/upgrade.1111/e10130/toc.htm
(Oracle® Fusion Middleware Upgrade Guide for Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports, and Discoverer)
    11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
Let me know if you have any further questions.
    Thanks,
    Rishi

  • How do I List all queries in Dashboard or Report with a link to every Individual query?

    Hello Brio Experts,
I have a BQY where I have created lots of individual queries. Almost 12- 15 queries in a single bqy file. Its very difficult for me to look for each query every time I want to use one. Can you help me how do I create a list of these queries in a dashboard or a report page on the top where it takes me to the query when I click on it ( Just like a hyperlink to each query).I am using 8.3.2 and no way my company will update the version. Really Appreciate your help
    Thanks in a advance
    Biju Jacob
    IBM.

You cannot create links in report section that will take you to other sections within BQY.
You could create a Dashboard with a contol (Listbox or Dropdown) that could provide a way for you to move to a query section upon interaction with that control.
You will need to look at the Object Model within the Script Editor, review the manuals and online help related to Creating Dashboards.
if you have a script that you developed and have questions/issues i am sure that there are a number of people who will help.

  • Fit on screen all dashboard page reports

    Hi all!
I'm starting in OBIEE 11g, so I need your help!
Our issue is that we need "resize" all reports that are in Dashboard's pages as "fit on screen" mode. Now, for example, we have 4 analysis in a Dashboard's page but it page has scrolls. So we need to scroll down and right to see all analysis in that page.
There is any way to "resize" all reports and "fit on screen" that Dashboard page? I try to modify Height and Width on Column, Section, and analysis but it doesn't work.
    Any idea?
    Thanks for your unvaluable time.
    Regards,
    Ariel

    Ok guys, it was solved.
The problem was the Canvas Height and Width in Graph properties. It is set to a default value. It isn't relative, so all other objects get its size. So, I reduce that Height and Width, so all objects get the new size.
    Thanks for your time!
    Best regards,
    Ariel

    Vaidya,
Let me rephrase what you are looking for...
    1. You dont want to embed the Webdynpro link into the template but would rather embed it as an object
    2. You want to run the web dynpro when the WAD page is launched...
    This is for 7.0 right..?
As for embedding the web dynpro as an object as opposed to a link ...? any reasons why - is it because you dont want users to see the link in the HTML source ...?
Even if they do - I am not sure how web dynpros work ( rusty on that front ) but then you should get a session ID when you launch the web dynpro right ..? which would obviate any reasons for the users to see the link
Possibly have it included as a button using Javascript ..?
If you want the webdynpro to launch when the WAD runs - then you could have an onload function in javascript that can do the same....

    Hi,
Make sure that columns whose values are not getting passed are on left side of "Price" column(on which you are navigating to other report). By default OBIEE will pass all dimension column values on the left side of column on which navigation is enabled. This is expected OBIEE behaviour.
Can you drag the all columns to the left of navigation enabled column and give it a shot. Make sure that column formula is same and are "is Prompted" in detailed report.

    Sandeep
