Dashboard view with charts

Hello,
I have 10 queries in different workbooks with chart views.  Now I need to create a new workbook for the dashboard view.
This dashboard view will link all the charts from the 10 workbooks with the queries.  The charts are created from the pivot tables and all the charts are dynamic. I would like to create a dashboard view with similar dynamic charts.
I cannot use WAD. I do not want to combine all the queries into one workbook since each query is big and it will affect the performance.
Any valuable answer with be assigned with points.

Thanks everyone, after all, this response from Oracle Support helped to solve the problem:
"Actually this is a refreshing bug in the flash player lower that 11.4 which is used by default in Google Chrome ( see http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=140415 ), which is used to display charts in 11.1.1.6.2
This issue is fixed in the latest OBIEE bundle patch 11.1.1.6.5

  • Issue filtering a report (based on narrative view) with a dashboard prompt.

I used HTML and java-script codes in narrative view to solve the issue of "linking different reports on selecting values from a drop-down". A new issue has cropped up due to that implementation. The issue is that i can't attach a dashboard prompt to such a report. This means, when i put this report on a dashboard page with a dashboard prompt to help filter the report, the report does not gets filtered (it does not seems to be connected to the dashboard prompt).
Has anyone faced this issue before? If yes, please let me know how to tackle it at the earliest.

  • How to set an adapted project dashboard view as initial for all users?

    Hi all.
We have the cProjects project dashboard active and have defined (via settings, save as) a custom view with the columns relevant in this particular installation.
I can however only save this view with assignment "user" meaning that it only applies to the user logged on when creating it.
We are however looking to have a common global customized view that all users should begin with.
Compare the R/3 functionality with layout management in reports where you can define whether the layout should be
    user specific or not
    default
My question is therefore if it should be possible to save global views in the above example and if not how to achieve what we are looking for.
I assume one option could be to see if one can use BADI DPR_EVE_DASHBOARD but it seems this should be possible to handle within the application given that the field "Assignment" is there when you save the view.  At the moment only with the value "user" available though ...
    Regards / Anders

    Hej Anders
You can save a default view for all users under administration mode:

I was having the same error while trying to plot a moving average across 7 days. The work around I found was rather simple.
If you right click your report in the solution explorer and select "View Code" it will give you the underlying XML of the report. Find the entry for the value of your calculated series and enter a formula to dynamically create your periods.
    <ChartFormulaParameter Name="Period">
                      <Value>=IIf(Count(Fields!Calls.Value) >= 7 ,7, (Count(Fields!Calls.Value)))</Value>
    </ChartFormulaParameter>
What I'm doing here is getting the row count of records returned in the chart. If the returned rows are greater than or equal to 7 (The amount of days I want the average) it will set the points to 7. If not, it will set the number to the amount of returned rows. So far this has worked great. I'm probably going to add more code to handle no records returned although in my case that shouldn't happen but, you never know.
    A side note:
If you open the calculated series properties in the designer, you will notice the number of periods is set to "0". If you change this it will overwrite your custom formula in the XML.

  • Create local view with Bex Analyzer 7.0

    Hi,
with the Bex Analyzer 3.5 it was possible to create and use a local views based on a query in a workbook.
With this "workaround" it was possible to create just one Query for different views and charts.
Is there something similar in BI 7.0???
I know there is a query view, but this is not what i want.
    Thx a lot.
    Br
    Mike

I think the reference is to the BEx 3.x Change Query button. You had the option in a refreshed query or Workbook to Change Query Local View or global view.
With Change Query Local View it was easier for a user with no global change authorizations to drag and drop, rearrange and change properties of their query results as needed. Then they could save locally as a workbook and each time they open it the personalized version can be refeshed as such, all without having to change original query.
How do users do that in 7.0?

  • Viewing SPC chart - how?

    Hi
I am quite new with MII. I am experimenting the SPC example from the QualityPortal and I do have connection to the SQL server and the QualityPortal project also successfully imported. I could also see the template loaded in Workbench.
However how do I view the SPC chart (applet)?.  What I did was in IE, i entered
http://<server>:<port>/XMII/SPCChartServlet?DisplayTemplate=QualityPortal (ofcourse the actual server and port name). However I got this error message
"Template was not found, cannot load QualityPortal"
    any suggestion? thanks in advance
    seng

    Hi,
Did you check that display templete is avaialble in the project root folder.
Also I think you havenot passed the qurey template to the display template.Just map the query template(from data mapping tab) to the SPC Chart display template. Then go for executing this display template in workbench.
You can also use Dynamic Page Generator for viewing the chart.

  • Need help using GO URL to display table view (with sorting, pagination)

I'm trying to use the GO URL to get to a table view with the sorting and pagination functionality intact, but I don't want all the other links and input fields of a dashboard.
    Is this possible?
I'm trying to consume table view report in an IFRAME within my web application using the GO URL, but without any luck.
For proof of concept, I'm trying to extend Sample Lite\KPI\Sample PKI which I can display as a dashboard in my IFRAME, but I would like the table view with the column sorting and pagination functionality intact without the dashboard links and fields up at the top.
I'm new to Oracle BI, specific explanation and step by step examples would help me tremendously.

How did this sync conflict happen?
Someone synced the phone with another computer.
how can I get my music back onto the phone without losing everything else (especially photos)?
The content on the phone that was synced from iTunes will be replaced. All other data should be unaffected. Content from the iTunes or iBooks Store, if it's still there, can be redownloaded.
As a precaution, try to get the photos out using Image Capture. Some other kinds of data, such as calendars and contacts, can be synced via iCloud.

  • Crystal dashboard viewer

Hi, I'm working with SAP Business One and we are looking for a report viewer solution that can run an RPT file or Xcelcius dashboard in fullscreen on an LCD monitor.
It would need to have auto refresh functionality as well.  We want to show orders in a queue in real time.
Is there anything out there that can do that?
    Thanks!
    Mike

    Mike,
Third Wave's Advanced Productivity Pack can provide this functionality.    instead of using a crystal viewer, i would suggest that you use our interactive dashboard with Gold Arrow drill back into B1.
APP dashboards use a standard B1 query to display the data.  the dashboard can include graphs and/or data grids,  They can also be setup to auto refresh.  in your example you may just want a data grid that shows the orders.   the sap query would define which columns are included.
A dashboard can also be interactive, which means that i can click on a part the graph and the data grid will be updated to show the detail.    for example the graph might show the total amount of orders that needs to ship each day this week.   When i click on the bar for wednesday, the data grid provides a list of the orders that are to ship that day.  the data grid can have drill down arrows back to the transaction, BP, item etc.
the Advanced Productivity pack does not require additional Crystal Dashboard viewer licenses.  It will also take a significantly less time to setup dashboards with the APP than a CrystalDashboard.   the added benefit is that APP also provide the most comprehensive document/report delivery system available for Business One.  there are  number of other really neat features that it also includes.
this will provide a much better option because they can drill back to B1 forms.

It is possible, but not without customization. Also, as Alexis mentioned, you could populate a custom field with management group information. It's overkill to use SCORCH just for this, as this could be achieved with much less effort using the command
channel and a relatively simply powershell script...

  • HT203066 Health App keeps resetting data and dashboard view

Health up on my iPhone 5s (iOS v8.1.2) keeps resetting the data and dashboard views:
    - when I enter data in the 'Me' tab (Birthdate, Sex, Blood type), the data keeps disappearing when opening the application again
    - adding a dashboard (i.e. 'Weight') the dashboard shows (with no values) and disappears again
    - adding a data point in any dashboard manually does not show.
Also - I am using MyFitness Pal & Withings Health App - no data is showing.
I recently re-installed the phone as new (couple of weeks ago), I re-installed the third party apps (and deleted all data when asked)
    Any hints, pointers?
    Thanks in advance

I'm having the exact same problem. I've even tried:
    1. Turn off all syncing by theirs-party sources.
    2. Delete all third-party apps that might sync data so that the Health App "Sources" list is empty
    3. Reset all settings on the phone.
    4. Reload third-party apps one by one
    5. Selectively turn on syncing by third-party apps and only sync categories I really want to see.
All to no avail. The Health App crashes constantly and when trying to input data into third-party apps, those apps will crash also.
I'm currently trying to sync data with:
    UP by Jawbone (UP24)
    Withings HealthMate (Withings WiFi scale)
    MyFitnessPal
    Runtastic
    Nike+

  • How t sort data in chart view (bar chart)

    Hello,
I have a table view and a chart view in my visual composer model.
the data in table view are sort A,B, C ---Z
but in my chart views (bar charts) the listing begins with Z,Y,X,.....A
    (same data service/ BI-Query)
How can I sort my listing in bar chart so, that the listing begins with A,B,C
    Thanks,
    best regards
    thomas

Connect the OUT port of dataservice to IN port of SORT operator. This SORT operator is available in Compose > Operators.Configure the SORT operator , select the column on which you want to sort. Then the output of SORT operator should be connected to the IN port of CHART.
This should give you the desired result.

Also it would be great if you can share Sample codes for Invoking an updatable view with instead of trigger on Save/commit.
    Regards,

As a trigger is executed in the db and not in your app it's really hard to help as you did not give any useful information.
Have you read this blog http://stegemanoracle.blogspot.com/2006/03/using-updatable-views-with-adf.html ?
