Data between 2 ODS not in synch

I have ODS1 and ODS2 with delta loads from R/3 system.
For 3 fields in ODS1 , they have an abap routine in update rules to lookup and get data from ODS2 fields. The issue is whenever a delta happens in ODS2 and this delta updates a changed record. this record will no more get updated in ODS1 .
Please give me suggestions how can we resolve this issue.

 RETURNCODE = 0.
ELSE.
 RETURNCODE = 4.

if you set the returncode to 4, the record will be skipped; is that your requirement?

Master Data uploaded to ODS not generated automatically

Hello gurus!!
I have an issue with a query that gets its information from and ODS.
After the variable selection is done the error message:
"Value '' (hex. '') of characteristic contains invalid characters"
"System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form RSRDR;SRRK0F30-01-" (BRAIN 299 )
If you go to the ODS you can see the lines correctly but you can't see them on the Bex query.. workbooks.. etc.
The issue has the following remarks:
1. Comes up on certain selection (not all)
2. The issue lies over the uploaded data from ECC system..
3. Data is loaded directly (meaning it doesn't have any other ODS or object between ECC and it self..
4. The Infopackage is loading information and it has the "Always update data, even if no master data exists for the data" flag marked. But it doesn't update master data correctly for 2 characteristcis.. meaning it updates data for most but some lines are in the ODS that don't exist in the MD..
5. Both these characteristics are texts.. and if I add a blank space or delete it from R3 and delete and reload in BW it works correctly.. But there are to many issues and its very time consumin to solve one line at a time.
6. Both these Characteristics hace there sid table but they cant be maintained since they don't have Master data table or views..
I've tried using RSRV transaction so solve it, since it detects SID issues but it doesn't work..
I've also tried marking the "Lowercase Letters" flag in the characteristics and reloading but it doesn't work eather..
I've searched for SAP notes but haven't been able to find a note that could solve this issue..

First check data in PSA, if it has any invalid charecters and then check in ODS, Problem is with data it seems

Only update specific data between 2 ODS

I have 2 ODS ( with transfer rules between them).
I have DATE and period in the Source ODS1 , and I want to update only the register that the month of the date is equal to the period.
I create a rutine in the field DATE in the transfer rules:

if COMM_STRUCTURE-DOC_DATE+4(2) EQ COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/Z99PERCON.
result value of the routine
RETURNCODE = 0.
if abort is not equal zero, the update process will be canceled
ABORT = 0.
endif.
But it doent work. Becase the ods update all the data.
How can I do it? Is it correct in the transfer rules from the SourceODS to the second ODS?

DELETION OF SPECIFIC COLUMN DATA IN INFOCUBE&ODS(not the datarecords)

I loaded the data into ODS and InfoCube.Buti want to delete the 'year = 1900&1910" from the YEAR column of the Infocube and ODS.
Is it possible to delete the specific column data from the InfoCube & ODS????
If it is possible then how can i delete the particular specific data from the specific column of InfoCube and ODS.

I already loaded the data into the InfoCube and ODS. But i want to delete the 'year column=1900 , 1910' only (not the corresponding datarecords).
IS it possible to delete that Year Column only from the loaded data of InfoCube .
I think , it is possible by creating a new InfoCube and transferring my InfoCube data into newly created InfoCube and writing the start routine for Update Rules in between my InfoCube & newly created InfoCube.
So do you know the ABAP/4 code for that

Copying transaction data between planning version - Not delete existing dat

Hello all.
I made copy from one version, like 000.
The result is Version A1 and A2. I copied everything(Master Data and Transaction Data).
For each version, i ran a MRP. But in differents periods. Like October and November.
After MRP, i have a lot Planning Orders in A1 and A2. But in differents months.
My question is: I want to merge A1 and A2 in another version(Merge only Planning Orders). How i can do this?
Using /SAPAPO/MVM or /SAPAPO/VERCOP i can copy all data from source to target. But always delete previous data.

This isn't the answer you WANT to hear. But there's no way to my knowledge to achieve your requirement using standard version copy functionality in APO.
One way to preserve the data for alternate / merged versions that I've found useful is to use the /SAPAPO/REL_TO_OLTP transaction to send volume data to the ECC client. If you are loading both inactive versions to BW, then you should be able to release that data from BW to ECC inactive/"long-term" simulation versions where it can be aggregated. That is to say, you could send A1 and A2 separately and they will simply add to one another, not overwrites (delete and re-create).
This being said, requirements using this transaction are sent as planned ind. requirements in ECC. This may not be the desired outcome that you're looking for, so you might have to be careful which key figure you send to represent volumes.

The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.
Thanks for your advice, I think that it's n going to be a slow process to fix all the entries for not much return.

Inconsistencies data between ODS and RSA3 in SAP system (delta problem??)

I have a problem in my SAP BW production system. There is inconsistencies data between ODS (using tcode LISTCUBE) and Datasource in SAP system (tcode RSA3).
I'm using Datasource: 0FI_GL_10 and ODS: 0FIGL_O10.
In SAP system (using RSA3):
GL Account: 1202012091
Comp Code : 5400
Bus Area: 5401
Fiscal Year :2008
Period: 07
Accum Balance : $0
Credit Total: $350
Debit Total: $350
Sales : $0
And in ODS (using ListCube):
GL Account: 1202012091
Comp Code : 5400
Bus Area: 5401
Fiscal Year :2008
Period: 07
0BALANCE : $350 (it should be $0,shouldn't it? )
0CREDIT: $0 (it should be $350,shouldn't it? )
0DEBIT: $350
0SALES: $350 (it should be $0,shouldn't it?)
I have tried these :
1. Check if there is a start routine / routine or not in transfer or update rules....and...i get nothing
2. Check the data using tcode FBL3N..but the data is ok
And then i tried to trace the process chain and find error on delta infopackage which pull these data

07.30.2008 : 231141 records --> error (ODS activation) --> request has deleted forever
07.31.2008 : 2848 records --> error (ODS activation) --> request has deleted forever
08.01.2008 : 135679 records --> error (ODS activation) --> request has deleted forever
08.02.2008 : 135679 records --> successfull repeat delta action
From 30 July until 1 August there is an error on delta infopackage because
fail to activate ODS (No SID found for value 'RIM' of characteristic 0UNIT). On 2 August someone delete the red requests and repeat the delta and success. Is there any possibilities that this problem arise because of this? If this the cause, how to bring back 2848 and 231141 records which has deleted?

Synch application data between 2 iPADS ?

Hello - we have (2) iPADs and on both we purchased a landlord software. We want to be able to have the data shared automatically between both iPADS. The application itself does not have an option to do this (whereas applications like "our groceries" allow for dynamic updates of the grocery list between 2 iPADs).
The application does not have a MAC/PC based software so we can't "remote control" a PC or MAC.
Are there any 3rd party applications that would take the app data to the cloud so we can share the data? Or - are there any applications that let you remotely access one iPAD from another? This would be a way to share the data.
Note that synching via iTunes is not really an option as it's just this one app that we want to share.
Any ideas?

Is there an option to print anything? If so, look there to see if it also includes an option to send data via eMail.
I suggest you contact the program developer and explain what you are trying to do. It might be easy for them to add a way to transfer the data via eMail, if they don't have a better alternative.

Date between filter not working

Hi,
I am using Action links to open Report2 from Report1. For my 'Date between' filter (current date and previous two days) in Report2, I previously had 'Advanced SQL' statement but later switched to session variables.
Now when I am using session variables and open Report2 from Report1, I am only able to view the data for the current date and not the previous two dates. When I view Report2 independently in the Results tab, I can view all 3 days data.
Could anyone please help on why I am not able to view all 3 days data when opened from Report1.

"Protect this filter" did the trick. I should have thought of it before but somehow just slipped my mind.
The second report was taking the effective date from the parent report.

I have a client with a BlackBerry Pearl 8110. It was (is) configured to receive email from a Microsoft Exchange Server via his Outlook account. I have uninstalled the Desktop Manager and re-installed ensuring the computer transmits his email via the Re-Director. All settings in the Desktop Manager are correct. The phone was working fine for over 5 years. Now he is getting emails both on his phone and in Outlook saying:

I have verified that his phone is not attempting to perform the Enterprise Activation process by checking :
Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation.

Synching calendar dates between 2 handhelds

Computer idiot here. Sorry if this is a dumb question. My wife and I each have a Zire 72. We want to get the calendars on each of them to show the same appointments etc. We've tried synching them thru the desktop (we have separate user names on the desktop) but that doesn't seem to work. Have also tried to beam but the handheld says calendar data can't be beamed. EIther way, we can't seem to make it happen, but I have to think that there must be a way to do this! Can anyone tell me how it can be done? Thanx!

You should be able to beam the data, sounds like you are trying to beam the calendar database file thats why its saying it can't do this, instead go into the calendar application then select menu and select send event.
There is also a program called SyncUs this will allow you to share pim data between devices with each device having its own username.

Working in jdev 11.1.1.3.0 with ADF BC.
I am trying to get date between operator, if put both the dates as 8/31/2010 then i am not getting all the records whish is date as 8/31/2010, but if i put to as 8/31/2010 and from as 9/1/2010 then i am getting all the 8/31/2010 date records and some of 9/1/2010 also.
here my date field i changed type as TimeStamp but still the same issue.
can any one help me, how to all the records with both the between dates are same date.

An explanation is in order...
Dates (if you are talking about the database type DATE in Oracle) have time components associated with them. If you don't specify a time, it defaults to midnight (the start of that day). So, if you are doing a "between" comparison, and the date you are comparing isn't at midnight, it won't be between two of the same dates with no time specified (midnight).
So, your choices were to use trunc on the date you are comparing, or (this may yield better performance due to possibly being able to use an index), making your comparison:
between <your original date> and <your original date> + 1 - 1/(24*60*60)

The problem is that... some requests had been eliminated of the cube and the delta control between the ODS and CUBE was lost. The flag "data mart status of request" of all the requests of the ODS had been blank.
Now it is necessary to load some requests from the ODS for the cube.
Notes:
- it is not possible to make a complete load selecting the data to be loaded;
- the PSA is not being used;
- considering the data volume it is impracticable to reload the cube completely.

-> the delta control was lost;
-> the data already are active in the ODS;
-> part of the data of the ODS already is in the cube.
The indicated procedure it only guarantees the load of the data that are in the ODS and that are not in the cube.
