Data Dependent Authorization in Integration Directory

Hi all,
I faced a couple of questions regarding Data Dependent Authorization in Integration Directory:
1) I've configured user role in Integration Directory to restrict access to certain services and communication channels.
When I configure it as follows:
Selection Paths:
 Operator: Include
 Party: -
 Service: ZMDMBS
Objects:
 Operator: Include
 Types: *
 Actions: Full Edit
I get expected behaviour: user assigned to this role can modify ZMDMBS and can't modify any other Service in ID.
And when I change Selection Paths -> Operator: to Exclude I expect that all services will be modifiable except ZMDMBS. But in this case no of the services is modifiable.
Is my configuration of the authorization wrong ?
2) Is it possible to restrict access to all configuration objects relevant to specific Scenario ?

i dont think so it is possible. But u can lock the object so that other users cannot modify it.

Hey,
Relevant problem is with the roles assigned to XISUPER. As said above call the transaction su01 -> Enter User Name -> choose Display-> Select ROLES tab.
Check Wether u have the role assigned .
1) SAP_XI_DEVELOPER
2) SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_ABAP
3) SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE
If they aren't assigned assign them or else ask ur basis admin to do it. It should resolve the problem.

Security Requirement - Data Dependent/Object Level Authorizations in XI / PI
In distributed teams or in a shared PI environment it might be necessary to limit authorization for a developer or a group of developers to only one Software Component or objects within a Software Component or to specific Configuration Objects.
Our Environment - PI 7.0 SP 16
Created a new role in the Integration Builder Design
u2013Add Object Types of any Software Component and Namespace
- Enable usage of Integration Builder roles in Exchange Profile
Integration Builder u2013Integration Builder RepositoryParameter com.sap.aii.util.server.auth.activation to true
Assign users to the newly created Integration Builder roles
u2013Create dummy roles in Web AS ABAP, these roles are then available as groups in Web AS Java
u2013Assign users to these roles
u2013Assign the Integration Builder roles to the above groups in Web AS Java
u2013Assign unrestricted roles to Super Users
Please help - How to validate whether Data Dependent Authorizations are Activated?
I am working with XI Developers and Basis Team and we did updated all the Required Exchange profile parameters.
Per this Document - User Authorizations in Integration Builder Tools - Do we need to update the server.lockauth.activation in Exchange Profile. When We updated, It removed Edit Access from all XI Developers in PI
In both the Integration Repository and the Integration Directory, you can define more detailed authorizations that restrict access to design and configuration objects.
In both tools, you define such authorizations by choosing Tools ® User Roles from the menu bar. The authorization for this menu option is provided by role SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE. Of course, this role should only be granted to a very restricted number of administrators. To activate these more detailed authorizations, you must set exchange profile parameter com.sap.aii.ib.server.lockauth.activation to true.
The access authorizations themselves can be defined at the object-type level only (possibly restricted by a selection path), where you can specify each access action either individually as Create, Modify, or Delete for each object type, or as an overall access granting all three access actions.

I was able to control display and maintain access from ABAP Roles, but completely failed to implement Integration Builder Security?
Are there any ways to check Whether Data Dependent authorization or J2EE Authorizations are activated?

Hello,
so to give you status of our issue.
We were able to export missing business component .
But we also exported some interfaces after that and we had some return code 8, due to objects still present in change list on quality system (seems after previous failed transports , the change list was not cleared completley...).
So now we have checked that no objects is present in the change list of quality system and we plan to export again our devs on quality system.
Hope after that no more return code 8 during imports and all devs transported correctly on quality system.
Also recommending to read that, which is pretty good.

Value Mapping - Mass replication and Integration Directory interface

Hello all,
The following question is often approched in this forum but answer is never cleary provided. Thus I'm sorry to ask it again.
We are using Value Mapping mass data replication using special interface provided by XI. We can easily see results in cache using Cache Monitoring tool in RWB.
My question is :
Is it possible to see and then to maintain such data (mass replicated) using Integration directory (Tools > Value Mapping menu)
In this menu, we don't see our loaded data.
How to do this ?

We also use VMR, and we find no way to access the cache data from Integration Directory. I think that by design this is not possible.

You cannot display the replicated value mapping data in the Integration Directory user interface (see Displaying/Editing the Value Mapping Table) since the original runtime data is stored in the application from which the data is copied. The value mappings created in this way using the user interface of the Integration Directory are just one of many possible sources of data.

I have setup a new technical system and a business system in SLD, but now I still can't find it in Integration Directory.
I knew from the later PI Version, that there was an option to transfer SLD data to integration directory, but now I can't find it
anymore.

Tools (or right-click in ID) --> Assign Business System --> follow the wizard...it will assign the business system from SLD to ID

Unable to log into Integration Directory / Repository

Hi, I can't log on to Integration Directory nor Repository with user PISUPER (which I could some days ago) and I get the error: "Authorization error; unknown user name or incorrect password".
I still CAN log in via the Easy Access with the same user/password.
Any ideas? Why cant I log on to java but not to ABAP?

Hi Hans,
1. Login into XI and use Tcode SU01 then enter the user name "PISUPER" and then press the lock/unlock button, if user will be locked u can unlock it and then u can try to login into xi. But if still it doesn't work then..
2. Tcode SU01, after entering the user name press the change/edit button, then come to logon data tab and give some pasword (some temp password e.g. pass123). Now press save button and just logout.
3. Now login into XI (ABAP not IR, ID) with user "PISUPER" and enter the password pass123, it will ask to change the password, change the password.
4. Now you logon to browser (portal) to login into IR & ID with changed (same password which you have entered in XI-ABAB) password.

How to block changes only in integration directory

Hi,
I explain the situation I´m experimenting right now:
After importing a tpz file, a developper needs to make some changes for example in the repository but he told the last time that he also modified data in a communication channel in the ID and I´d like to prevent this kind of actions right now...
What kind of roles could I use to stop this user modifying anything in Integration Directory and allow him at the same time making changes in the Integration repository?
Another thing:
Is there a kind of registration log in the Integration Directory in order to consult with details committed actions in the past?

you need to create correct role as per my blog (for directory only in your case)

Basis: No service for system , client in Integration Directory??

Hi All,
IDocs from SAP QA are not being sent to PI QA. I see error in SM58 in SAP QA as: No service for system , client in Integration Directory. Please dont jump to asnwers by looking at above error. I could fix that, but thats not the real problem.
Because I have checked
1) SLD home page ---> Technical Landscape --> Select Web AS ABAP --> Select the technical system --> Clients ---> Click on the client used as Business system --> Here look for the logical system is defined (No Problem here, as logical systems is defined).
2) ID---> Click on Objects --> Service Without party/Party > Double click on business system>On the tright side--> Service --> Adapter specific Identifiers ---> Check IDoc Adpater, Logical System (No Problem here as I see Logical System).
But I can't find values R/3 System ID and Client under "IDoc Adapter and RFC Adapter". I think thats problem here, when I click on "Compare with SLD" in edit mode, values are not getting populated into R/3 System ID and Client. It makes think there is communication error from ID to SLD. How I do confirm if its the real problem?
3) Checked Note 940313 - IDoc adapter: Error messages in SM58, No problem here
4) Did SLDCHECK from PI QA, works fine, no problems here
Both PI DEV and PI QA pointing to the same SLD. When I send IDocs from SAP QA to PI DEV, everything works fine. I can't send IDoc from SAP QA to PI DEV (changed RFC des to point to PI QA, it shouldn't be a problem).
How do I find out if communication between PI QA - ID is workign fine with the SLD? Is there any other issue you can think of causing the above error?

*I have trobleshooted a similar issue. In my case also the tRFC failed with the error "No service for system SAP, client 400 in Integration Directory".There were 11 IDOCS associated with this tRFC and when I saw control record of first IDOC,in sender information ,the sender partner number was wrong.Instead of "SAPSID",it was found as just "SAP".Where as the remaining ten were maintained with correct sender partner number.remaining ten IDOCS were dependant on first one.

Error while assigning Business Systems in Integration Directory

Hi,
I'm getting an error when trying to assign the business systems in the integration directory.
The error i'm getting exactly is "access to object list of type BusinessSystem using the internalEOAService BusinesSystemAccessor failed " .
I've cleared the SLD_cache and checked it but the same error.
The business systems are appearing when i tried the transaction code SLD_CHECK and is in green status.
what might be the error.

Interface Mapping Not Found in Integration Directory

Hey guys!
I'am getting this error in the test configuration part of the integration directory:
"Interface Mapping: <Not Found> com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException thrown during application mapping"
I don't see why I should be getting this error since I have properly defined a message and interface mapping for the receiving interface.
BTW, I get this error when I use XSLT mapping. If I point my interface mapping to a normal message mapping, I get no error. Is there anything I am missing?

The weird thing is that when I test the the configuration in the Integration Directory, it is still looking for my old message mapping (the one i created using xi editor) even though I already replaced the referenced message mapping in the interface mapping to the XSL one.
Yes, I tested the interface mapping with the same data using the XSL mapping and there's no problem.
When I send the message though, I get an error saying "NO_RECEIVER_CASE_ASYNC" I really don't see why it should not recognize the receiver. I tried refreshing the cache but it still looks for my old mapping program...

Idoc adapter - No service for a system in Integration directory

Hi,
I'm trying to send a custom IDOC from an R3 system to an XI instance.
All settings that I can see using transactions IDX1 IDX2 and IDX5 seems to be correct, but the IDOC doesn't reach the IS.
SM58 in the sender system reports the error:
"No service for system SAPXXX, client nnn in Integration Directory".
Do I have to create the service? How?

Hi Simona,
you have to create the service. Create first the technical system and the business system in the SLD. Look for the right "Logical System" (Transation SALE in R3).
In the Integration Builder Directory go to "Environment/Clear SLD Data" and create the service by "Objects/Service without party/Business System/Assign Business System".

No service for system SAPABI, client 800 in Integration Directory

Hi,
We are getting the error in BI "No service for system SAPABI, client 800 in Integration Directory", when we extract the data from R/3 (ECC6) into BI System. It was working fine earlier, till XI-BI integration was done.
But, After XI integration is done in BI system we are getting this error, when ever we try to load the data from source system. The XI integration is removed now, but the error still continues.
The source system is ok and could able to replicate the data from R/3 into BI. Is there any XI related customizing need to be removed from BI?, so that it directly goes to the source system for data load, instead of hitting the Integration Directory, which is part of XI.
It would be great, if someone can give a solution for this.

Hi,
First check at BI side transaction: SICF there services are properly configured or not, the services should be in Active state.
Second you must check transaction: SXMB_MONI here you can check what ever the Reports or Webservices are coming from out bound to inbound.
1. first check out bound in that server you type SXMB_MONI there u can see Flag that should be in black. If it is Flag is in Red then the Report should be stoped there it self.
2. Once it came to receiver side then u must check at inbound server by typing transaction: SXMB_MONI by checking that flag you will know what might be the problem.
Once check ur RFC connection also because you can get problem from RFC connections also.

I am getting No service for system SAPNID, client 800 in Integration Directory in tRFC monitor (SM58).
My scenario is IDOC to File.
I did following step in R3.
1. Created RFC destination pointing to XI systems (name:XID)
2. Created IDOC port (name: SAPNID) and use above (XID) RFC in RFC destination.
3. Create Partner Type LI (Partner No. 3000) and add message type ORDERS, set the receiver port (SAPNID) created above.
XI Side.
1. Create Technical System (Name : XID)
2. Business Systems (Name: R3XID)
3. In Integration Repository.
 Created Data Type
 Import IDOC ORDERS.ORDERS04
 Created Message Interface
 Created Message Type
 In Mapping Object created Message Mapping and Interface Mapping.
4. In Integration Directory
 Created the Scenario (name : FILE_FROM_IDOC)
 Assign Business Systems as R3XID
 Create communication channel(name: FILE_ORDERS_COM_CHNL)
 Create Receiver Determination
 Interface Determination
 Receiver Agreement.
IDOC is triggered correctly but in tRFC monitor I am getting following error

I do not know whether SAPNID is required or not, earlier I used R3XID as Business Systems at the time of configuration now I changed it to SAPNID. I am getting the same error in both the case.
