Data from various types in HRFORMS

Hi all,
I am using HRFORMS for printing the payslip ( and not pe51) . But our payslip have some data from time tables too. If I keep our form catagory as payslim renumeration, the metastars of time are inactive in that and not displayed. If I choose form type as time, it do not shows payroll metastars. But our payslip requires both type of data.
Can anyone please suggest what to do here?
Regards,
Ronnie

Hello Martin,
in the example https://gist.github.com/ricma/cf81829181cfd4e86354 the JSONModel is used. JSONModel is a client-side model. Each of the two tables (person table, phone table) needs its own data and model. In order to synchronize models after editing a table cell, two conversion functions are needed. One function converts person data into phone data, the other converts phone data into person data (see example for implementation):
function makePhoneList(oPersonList) {
function makePersonList(oPhoneList) {
Furthermore, two callback functions are needed. These callback functions shall be called whenever a table cell is modified:
function personModelChanged(oControlEvent) {
  oPhoneData = makePhoneList(oPersonData);
  oPhoneModel.setData(oPhoneData);
oPersonTable.addColumn(new sap.ui.table.Column({
  label: new sap.ui.commons.Label({text: "Name"}),
  template: new sap.ui.commons.TextField({
    value: "{personModel>name}",
    change: personModelChanged})}));
function phoneModelChanged(oControlEvent) {
  oPersonData = makePersonList(oPhoneData);
  oPersonModel.setData(oPersonData);
oPhoneTable.addColumn(new sap.ui.table.Column({
  label: new sap.ui.commons.Label({text: "Phone Number"}),
  template: new sap.ui.commons.TextField({
    value: "{phoneModel>number}",
    change: phoneModelChanged})}));
The solution works but has some disadvantages:
data and models have to be synchronized manually
for n models, 2n-2 conversion functions are needed
every modification causes creation of at least n-1 data structures and models
Best regards,
Frank

  • HOW TO TRANSFER DATA FROM CHAR TYPE TO NON CHAR TYPE

    HI EXPORTS,
             THIS IS SASIDHAR, I HAD UPLOADED DATA FROM FLAT FILE INTO DYNAMICAL INTERNAL TABLE NAME <T_UPLOAD>. THIS INTERNAL TABLE FIELDS ARE CONVERTED INTO CHAR TYPE FIELDS. NOW I HAVE TO TRANSFER THIS DATA INTO ANOTHER INTERNAL TABLE  <DYN_TABLE> WHICH CONTAINS BOTH CHARACTER AND NON CHARACTER FIELDS. PLEASE ANY ONE GUIDE ME REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
    THANKS AND REGARDS
    SASIDHAR.V

    there is no specific CASTING operation in ABAP, so just do following:
    non-char-field = char-field.
    as long as it is possible ABAP does implicit casting and you dont have to care about anything.

  • Transfer data from one type of table to another

    Can some kind soul put me out of my misery and explain how I can get the data from Table1 to Table2
    I'm really struggling!
    Table1
    MerchID
    MatchesSKU

    BR34

    BD16
    2
    DE11

    3
    DR19
    Table2
    MerchID
    MatchesSKU1
    MatchesSKU2
    MatchesSKU3
    1
    BR34
    BD16
    2
    DE11
    3
    HB12
    DX15
    DR19

    I've got a page which shows a piece of merchandise in detail. Below that is a section called "you may also like..." and it shows 3 matching items to the main merchandise.
    I currently hold the matching data in a table like Table1 but I've been getting some performance issues and have narrowed it down to the query that gets the 3 matches.
    I was thinking if I place the 3 matching merchID's into the corresponding row of the main merchandise being shown, it saves hitting the database for the 3 matching items?
    Here's the SQL used to find the matching items
              SELECT *
              FROM merchandise
              INNER JOIN matches_with
              ON merchandise.supplier_code = matches_with.matches_with_supplier_code
              WHERE matches_with.merchandise_ID = '#URL.ProductID#'
    I limit the CFQUERY to MAXROWS=3

  • Run a formula if a cell contains particular data from various cells

    I have a formula which checks a list of domains to see what the TLD is and then returns a renewal price based on the TLD e.g. .co.uk may return with $5.99 and .com $10.00. The formula I am using is below:
    =VLOOKUP(RIGHT(A2,LEN(A2)−SEARCH(".",A2)+1),$A:$B,2,FALSE)
    I am now wanting to expand this formula to check additional criteria before running the above formula.
    I don't know what functions to use, but I know what I'm trying to achieve, so please, humour me when it comes to make believe syntax below:
    if a cell contains the data from a number of cells e.g. C$2:C$5 then run the above formula, if not return "N/A"

    Hi Ian,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I see exactly where you're going with this, but it's not exactly what I'm after.
    Perhaps I need to be a bit more clear in my explanation - my bad.
    Cell A2 has a domain name e.g. example.com, example.co.uk, example.org, example.net
    Cell B2 has a number of options to choose from e.g. Expire, Hosting, Backorder, Mapping
    Column D2:D5 have a number of TLDs e.g. co.uk, .com, .org, .net
    Column E2:E5 have the corresponding annual renewal prices for the TLDs listed in cells F2:F5
    Column F2:F5 have the options than can be chosen in column B2
    I only want to get the renewal price for the TLD where the option in Cell B2 is one of the options listed in cells F2:F5 and if it's not, I want it to return "N/A"

  • Join data from various model / transpose data in models

    Hello there,
    is there a best practice or pattern to re-use data from a model when the original layout does not match the control's necessities right? Consider the following example:
    var oData = {
      "persons": [
        {"name": "Sonja Software", "phones": ["12345", "54321"]},
        {"name": "Conrad Coder", "phones": []},
        {"name": "Mike Mailinglist", "phones": ["6789"]},
        {"name": "Hugo Hacker", "phones": ["54321"]}]};
    This could be easily used to set up a table for example, see this gist here.
    What is the best way to also show a table of all telephone numbers? I could manually go over the data and set up another model to achieve this:
    var oDataTransposed = {
      "phones": [
        {"number": "12345", "persons": ["Sonja Software"]},
        {"number": "54321", "persons": ["Sonja Software", "Hugo Hacker"]},
        {"number": "6789", "persons": ["Mike Mailinglist"]}]};
    But this would make the two models get out of sync once, e.g. a name is changed. The above mentioned gist has three files. The `exampleTransposed.js` contains a manual inversion making the phone numbers the primary items. But there is certainly a more elegant way to achieve this, isn't it? Maybe by creating a model which itself is bound to the original model by some kind of databinding or some sort of calculated properties, see this comment on knockoutjs.
    M.
    PS: Maybe one should also add a
    {"number": undefined, "persons": ["Conrad Coder"]}
    In order to not to loose some of the persons but this is just a minor detail.

One function converts person data into phone data, the other converts phone data into person data (see example for implementation):
    function makePhoneList(oPersonList) {
    function makePersonList(oPhoneList) {
    Furthermore, two callback functions are needed. These callback functions shall be called whenever a table cell is modified:
    function personModelChanged(oControlEvent) {
      oPhoneData = makePhoneList(oPersonData);
      oPhoneModel.setData(oPhoneData);
    oPersonTable.addColumn(new sap.ui.table.Column({
      label: new sap.ui.commons.Label({text: "Name"}),
      template: new sap.ui.commons.TextField({
        value: "{personModel>name}",
        change: personModelChanged})}));
    function phoneModelChanged(oControlEvent) {
      oPersonData = makePersonList(oPhoneData);
      oPersonModel.setData(oPersonData);
    oPhoneTable.addColumn(new sap.ui.table.Column({
      label: new sap.ui.commons.Label({text: "Phone Number"}),
      template: new sap.ui.commons.TextField({
        value: "{phoneModel>number}",
        change: phoneModelChanged})}));
    The solution works but has some disadvantages:
    data and models have to be synchronized manually
    for n models, 2n-2 conversion functions are needed
    every modification causes creation of at least n-1 data structures and models
    Best regards,
    Frank

  • HELP Filling a datagrid with data from various tables

    MHI, this is simple.
    I have 2 tables.
    ORDERS and CLIENTS.
    table ORDERS are columns:  order_id, client_id, status
    table CLIENTS are columns: client_id, client_name
    my datagrid would have the columsn: order_id, client_name, status.
    Thats all. I can't simply do it in Flex. HELP PLEASE.
    These are my approaches:
    1 - tried to create a new array collection with mixed data from these 2 tables to use as dataprovider in the datagrid.
    even the ac is [Bindable], the datagrid won't update. Probably Im creating the ac in a wrong way.
    2 - tried to use the ORDERS table call responder lastResult property (that works out to fill the data grid) and add a new colounm (client_name) within each item inside the ORDERS array collection.
    I'm not able to ADD a property/field/column inside the ac.  Of course, when I use .addItem, it will create a new "order"  not a new "order.property"
    if something like:  ac.source[i].push({client_name:clientName}) worked...
    My goals are simple. To fill the datagrid with those data.
    Ah.. i almost forgot...
    supose CLIENTS have 1000 registers.
    I don't have to bring all those registers within flex to look for only one ID to retrieve a name to fill the orders datagrid, right?
    THANKS A LOT
    btp~

    Ok,  this is my first approach:
    this function is an auto-generated event that happens when I drag a databank operator over a datagrid. Datagrid's dataprovider IS set to "orders":
    (in my browser, the following messed lines only show decent while editting. Maybe copy it into a editor to better visualize: )
    protected function getOrders_pagedResult_resultHandler(event:ResultEvent):void             {                 orders = getOrders_pagedResult.lastResult                          //1 - this was previous declared as a Bindable Array Collection.                                             var ta:Array = new Array;                                 for (var t:String in event.result)                 {                     var tp:Array = new Array();                        tp.push(getOrders_pagedResult.lastResult[t].order_id);        //is it any difference to get data like in THIS LINE                           tp.push(event.result[t].status)                               //or THIS?                                             var cn:String = getClientsByID(event.result[t].client_id);     //this won't work in time. The getClientsByID delays to get data.                     var obj:Object = {client_name:cn};                             //so cn, in this line, will be "null". How can I handle this?                                         tp.push(obj);                                         ta.push(tp)                  }                                 orders.source.push(ta)                                             //this is what I wanted datagrid to show, but it doesn't.                                                                                    //if I leave the first statement, everything above is ignored                                                                                    //if I comment the first line, datagrid shows nothing.                            }
    I realize that the code above won't work because the properties inside each item won't have a "label" to datagrid to call in dataField property...I don't know how to do that. I thought by creating an object (like the obj above) it would work...  it wont.
    My getClientsByID is a modificated auto-generated function which doesn't work properly:
    (in my browser, the following messed lines only show decent while editting. Maybe copy it into a editor to better visualize: )
    protected function getClientsByID(itemID:int):String {         getClientsByIDResult.token = clientsService.getClientsByID(itemID);         return(getClientsByIDResult.lastResult.name); }
    It seems it doesn't work (returns null) because the function runs faster than the call responder result.
    Creating a listener for everything seems to be not the best practice, but a band-aid...
    Again.
    I should create a class in php to return the "ready-to-use" data. Ok?
    Thanks a lot for your comments. Do I miss any important part of the code?
    Btp~

  • Uploading data from various sources

    Folks,
    I currently have an access database which I would like to replace with HTMLDB but can't seem to resolve a data upload issue.
    Currently I am running a mainframe program which outputs to a file which can then be read from a browser. Then an excel spreadsheet picks this information up when it is opened, i.e. it won't refresh until it is opened. So I use access to refresh the excel spreadsheet and then import the data to access at the click of a button. I'd like to do the same in HTML DB or even better remove the excel step altogether and automatically take the data from the browser as this is in pure text format.
    Is this possible?
    I'm assuming it's not possible to refresh excel using HTML DB?
    Thanks in advance.

    It is a CSV file but we don't currently have the functionality to upload data straight from the mainframe to an oracle DB. It was suggested I use something called xcom which should then allow the data to be easily accessed from an oracle DB. So another question would be how do you access an oracle DB from HTML DB?
    You'll have to excuse my ignorance here as I am a mainframe DBA and know nothing of oracle.
    In case you are wondering I built the original access database which is why I'm now looking at the Oracle HTML DB. :p

  • How to pass a cluster of data from one VI to another

    Hi all,
    I've got a cluster of controls on my main application VI that I am using to accept data of various types from the user.Next I want to pass this cluster to the input cluster control of another VI perfectly on the generation of a user event. That is, if I have 3 numbers, 2 strings and 2 time stamps in the cluster on the main VI, I want to pass on that exact same data to the control input cluster of the second VI in the same sequence, having the same values.
    How do I do this?
    Here is a snapshot showing the cluster controls on my main VI and the code for my second VI.
    I want to pass the data into the input cluster 'data'. I tried calling the second VI into my main VI and directly hardwiring the cluster and then using an 'Unbundle by Name function' to separate the data, as shown. But this doesn't seem to work properly.
    Regards.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    The 2 clusters much be identical, then it should work smoothly. To ensure that they are, make a type-def of the cluster and use for both. From what i can see of your code it's clean and correct and it really shouldn't cause a hassle. What's (not) happening?

  • Analyse big data in Excel? Why the dynamic tables doesn't take all the data from the source table.

    Hi,
    I'm doing a internship in a production line.
    My job is to recover production data (input data) and test data (output data) using various types of software (excel, BusinessObject sap, etc).
    To this day, I have recovered hundreds of production data, and have also organized in excel but I need to analyze and plot them.
    I would like to know who can give me an idea of how I could plot as much data and analysis.
    Now i trying to use dynamic charts and plot some data but I did not get acceptable answers.
    How could I compare, analyze and graph for example:
    Five columns of production (input) with five (5) columns tested (data output).
    After graphing.
    Someone can give me a technique to analyze data? ie I compare column by column?
    or some other technique? as a conglomerate could analyze data?
    o give you an idea of the contect, now I perform an internship in a manufacturing turbines.
    My job is to analyze the input data (production) and to estimate the possible behavior of the turbines in the tests.
    As I said, use dynamic tables in excel, but i have not idea why the dynamic tables doesn't  take all the data from the source table.
    I appreciate your advice
    Thanks

    You can declare as PT source whole Columns [$A:$E], without rows number.
    Then You'll have all actually data.

  • How can i save the data from the Oracle database to my local directory

    How can i save the data from the Oracle database to my local directory instead Of saving the data file to the Directory created on the Oracle Server ?
    I require to design the Procedure which will pull the data from various tables and needs to store the data in the Client's local directory.

    Since SQL*PLUS runs on the client, you can use SQL*PLUS to spool data to your local drive.
    You could also use the database to write a a specified drive where all users have access to (mapped network drive, e.g.). I wouldn't recommend doing it that way, but it is sometimes useful when the files are created in some nightly batch run.

    hi,guys,
    I am very wondering that if BI-IP has the function of adding or modifying data directly into DSO ?which like the function of BPS layout writing data back to infocube? If it could ,how?
    Alough I don't think it's possible,I hope someone could give me a certain answer.
    Thanks a lot,

    Hi,
    Please search the forum before posting - this question has been asked quite a few times earlier.
    IP can read data from multiple types of infoproviders (including DSO) but it can write back data only to real-time infocubes.
