Data mismatch between two clients

Hi,
I have a query on data mismatch between two clients.
For eg assume a functional consultant would have configured intially some 5 custom document types and captured that in a transport request (TR1234) and promoted from one system/client (in my case QG1/821) to another system/client (say QG4/821). Again he would have configured another 3 custom document types and put in a transport request (TR4567) and promoted it. The transport request TR4567 some how did not reach QG4/821. Hence it shows only 5 records in T003 table (document types table) in QG4/821 and 8 records in QG1/821. How do we identify which is the correct transport (in this case TR4567), so that this transport can be promoted to QG4/821, so that both QG1/821 and QG4/821 are in sync.
Similary such a discrepancy exists for custom tables also. I am not able to catch hold of any basis people for inputs on this. Hence pls advise.

development objects can be compared using, Compare the active versions in both the system. (Use remote comparision)
But this you have to maually check.

We recently upgraded OBIEE to 11.1.1.6.0 from 10.1.3.4.0. While testing we found data mismatch between 10g and 11g in-case of few reports which are including a front end calculated column with division included in it, say for example ("- Paycheck"."Earnings" / COUNT(DISTINCT "- Pay"."Check Date")) / 25.
The data is matching for the below scenarios.
1) When the column is removed from both 10g and 11g.
2) When the aggregation rule is set to either "Sum or Count" in both 10g and 11g.
It would be very helpful and greatly appreciated if any workaround/pointers to solve this issue is provided.

Material Comparision between two clients

Dear Friends,
We want to compare material between two clients. The material has same material characterstics in both client. Is it there is any std. functional module to search it? There is one FM i got CLS_SEARCH_OBJECT but it gives short dump at selectiont tab.
Kindly give me solution as it is urgent

This is the first time that I'm coming across such a requirement of such a kind. You can easily compare the materials in two different systems. But within the same system it is difficult to compare between two clients, since the oncept of a client basically exists to separate the data.
One crude method is:
data: mara_1 type mara,
 mara_2 type mara.
data: client_1 type mandt,
 client_2 type mandt.
data : material_1 type matnr,
 material_2 type matnr.
select single *
from mara
client specified
into mara_1
where mandt = client_1
 and matnr = material_1.
select single *
from mara
client specified
into mara_2
where mandt = client_2
 and matnr = material_2.
check mara_1 eq mara_2.
I did not understand what you mean by "....same material characteristics.." do you realize that characteristics has a specific meaning in the context of a material in MM ? And if yes, are you referring to that ?

Error 33172 occurred at Read & Write data transfer between two or more PF2010 controller

Hi,i need to do data transfer between two or more FP2010 controller.e.g. FP2010(A) & FP2010(B).
FP2010(A) need to transfer the measurement (from its I/O module) to FP2010(B) to do the data analysis.These data transfer should be synchronous btw two controller to prevent data lost.
From the vi used in the attachment,i encountered some problems at:
(1) Error 33172 occurred while publishing the data.Can i create and publish data under different item name?
(2) How to synchronies the read & write btw contorller?
All controller are communicating with each other directly without the need of a host computer to link them together
Is there any other method to do fast data transfer betwe
en controller?

Please tell us what version of LV-RT you are using.
Please define what you concider "fast data transfer".
Have you concidered mapping the FP tags of FP2010(A) to FP2010(B) and vise versa?
WHat exactly has to be syncronized?

Well, that as far as I can go with the info you have provided. Depending on the details, what you are asking could be anything from trivial to impossible with the currently available technology. I just can't say.

Communication set up between two clients

All,
I am trying to set up distributed WM using SAP R/3 systems. For this i have choosen client 805 (Central ERP R/3) and client 800 as decentralized WM system which is also R/3. i have completed the configuration for decetral-WM both in Central and D-WM systems and the consistency checks are fine. using SM59 i have set up R/3 systems communication profiles for the above two clients.
But the IDOCs showing a statsu-03 in central system in BD87 (client 805) not showing up in D-WM system. i believe the tRFC set up is missing something. Both the clients are in the same ERP instance. Can any one please let me know the steps to set up communication between two clients running from the same oracle SAP instance and same database. ( I am trying to exchange Communication documents which are relevant to Decentralized WM). Will apprecaite any help.

Please try using commit statement after triggering the Idoc from client 805 (Central ERP R/3) . This should work.

Connection between two clients

I want to get some guidance on connection between two clients. Suppose I need to connect client 500 with client 900 in the same system without changing the logical names.

It almost sounds as if you just want an RFC to go from one client to the other. RFCs (SM59) are not client dependant so you can create one in any client. You can create one with the system name and point it to the client number using a specific user and password. I would recommend for security it be a communications user and not a dialog user depending on what you will be sending between the clients. However, the user will need the correct permissions and again, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, it may have to be a DIAG user although I would be wary. Then create a 2nd RFC pointing back to the other client. For example...
RFC 1
System Name = <System>
Client = 500
User = <userid in clnt 500>
RFC 2
System Name = <System>
Client = 900
User = <userid in clnt 900>
Then when you are in client 500, there is a path/connection to client 900 via that clients ID and password and vice versa using the appropriate RFC. Again, with out more info on what you are attempting, this may be your solution. Hope this helps. Good luck

Hi,
Log on to your destination client (where the form doesn't yet exist).
Transaction SE71, menu option Utilities -> Copy from Client.
Fill in the name of the form, the client number where it already exists, and the name of the copy (it can be the same of different to the existing form).
Execute.
This will prompt for a package for your new form, which can be different to the original.
Job done.

Data Mismatch between ODS and Infocube

I have got data mismatch between from ODS to Infocube. In ODS for one Sender Cost Centre, there is only one Company Code. In Infocube it is showing many.For ODS datasource is 0HR_PT_1. In Updaterules of ODS, Company Code was assigned to Company Code. But in Infocube should I assign CompCode to Comp Code or any other Characteristic as Master Data Attr of. Plz suggest us.

Communication between two clients

In Java Networking, communication between server-client or bwtween server-multiple clients is general. But How will be the communication between two cients, means two clients can send & receive messages to & from each other(being guided by server).

I want, if Server is running, and two clients(two instance of a same program) are opened, whatever message(string)client1 send to Server,then the Server needs to send those to client2.Again, the some response should come from client2 to client1 thru Server.
How can I implement this?

Hi,
You have to do necessary setting for ALE and IDOC will get generated and data will get transfer based on the Program Schedule in Bacground.
You can schedule program in bacground as per your requirement of IDOC transfer and data generation from One Client to other. [i.e. end of the day, Hourly, monthly etc.]

Managed bean/Data exchange between two ADF Rich Faces based applications

I have been trying to research what seems to be a small issue. My requirements are as follows.
1. I need to be able to pass managed bean information from one ADF Rich Faces based application to another (in two separate ears) at runtime (e.g. from Ear1: SenderApp/Sender.jspx -> Ear2: ReceiverApp/Receiver.jspx).
2. I do not want to use the database as my applications need to be performant.
3. Serialization/de-serialization would fall pretty much under the database category. In other words, I like to avoid Serialization/de-serialization of the managed bean.
4. I cannot use query string due to security issues.
My question is as follows:
1. Is there any standard/architecture/best practices for data exchange of backing beans or other forms between two ADF Rich Faces based apps (in two separate ears)?
2. Has someone found anything similar to an applicationScope that works across applications?
I would appreciate any ideas.

its not an ADF Faces problem, but not possible in Java EE. You can however fallback to vendor specific implementations like in WLS. From the WebLogic documentation : http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs103/webapp/sessions.html

Data mismatch between TABLE and Std. Extract str. (AFPO & 2LIS_04_P_MATNR)

I am getting data mismatch in ECC standard table and ECC standard extract structure. Please help me.
I am using 2LIS_04_P_P_MATNR data source (standard extract structure).
I have following data in ECC Table (AFPO - Order Item).
AUFNR (Order Number) --> 4000460
PGMNG (Total planned quantity) --> 0
PSMNG (ORDER QTY) --> 2000
Extract Structure is showing following data.
AUFNR (Order Number) --> 4000460
PGMNG (Total planned quantity) --> 2000 (It should be zero)
PSMNG (ORDER QTY) --> 2000
I have checked with many other order numbers. The extract structure in RSA3 is showing correct values only if PGMNG is non-zero values. If PGMNG is zero, then it is automatically assigning PSMNG value.
Is this common? I want to display correct values for PGMNG from AFPO Table. Why this mismatch between table data and extract data. I have done all required steps refreshing data (deleting setup tables, filling set up tables etc.).
pls suggest. Poinsts will be assigned to every useful answer.

I have a similar problem where in AFPO shows value 1000 in PSMNG field and 1200 in RSA3 for extractor 2LIS_04_P_MATNR.
I have found that the standard feature of the extractor extracts the data at the time of release of process order. If the process order is changed after the release then the extractor will not picup the chagne.
Ex: AFPO value 1000 ---BI Value 1000
Now released in ECC
AFPO value 1000 ---BI Value 1000
In ECC value changed to 1500 after the release. BI will not pickup the change.
Extractor is pulling the data from MCAFPOV table. You can check the values, there it matches with RSA3 values.
I was just going thru forums for the solution. After i found the solution. I am just updating it.

i have to right a stored proc to find the difference between two dates.
for example of i give
startdate as 4/1/2015 and enddate 14/1/2015
i should get 1 year , 10 days and 0 months .
i have tried the DateDiff function but it does not calculate the leap year.
please help.

Comparing settings(ALL) between two clients

Dear Experts,
Can anyone tell me how can we compare two clients (Within a system and between systems). I have checked in help.sap.com and found something like SCU0, SCMP and Custom Scout(Hope, this works only in solution manager).
Is there any separate tcode where I can compare the complete config settings of two clients.(My requirement is I need to compare the settings of development client with that of quality client)
