Data not viewable in table using Control file CharacterSet AL32UTF8

i have a flat file which contains Chinese characters and English Characters
I have to create a control file, to insert the data in this flat file to the Table
The characterset i am using in my control file is AL32UTF8
When i use this characterset the data is getting loaded into the table,but i am not able to view the Chinese characters.
i am able to see some Upside down question mark symbol
Please help me of how to view the chinese characters into the table
Is that any other characterset i have to set in Control file

NLS_LANG is an environment variable. I'm assuming you're on Windows, so it's probably something like
Control Panel | System | Advanced | Environment Variables
Given that you're using Toad, though, there may be someplace there where you set the character set. There is a discussion on Eddie Awad's blog on how various tools can be made to display Unicode data

Some of the comments discuss Toad, though that's not a tool I'm familiar with.
If you happen to be able to use iSQL*Plus, since that's browser based, it supports unicode natively. That's often the easiest solution.

The entire purpose of sqlloader is to load data (hence, the name sql*loader*) into a table from an external source. If you want to delete rows from a table, you use the sql DELETE statement.

Filename should contain the path of the CSV file
Filetype is CSV
location is 'C' for Workstation and 'A' for Application Server
FS contains field seperator ',' in our case
RECCOUNT contain the Rec. Count
RECSIZE is the Max DB size of the a single row ( this can be evaluated by the Total DB Size of a single Line of the Target BW Structure as well ).
The content of my sample test.csv are

SAP BW 7.0 - How to use control file?

Hello experts,
In my current project, I need to use a control file to load some flat files into BW.
In version 3.5 we had a option in the infopackage where we could select if it was a csv or a control file.
But in 7.0 version this option is not available anymore.

But a .txt control file didn't work. Can somebody help me?

I am using Oracle 8.1.6 Server, & facing problems while retrieving data from a PL/SQL Table:

Thanks Roger for the Update.
It means that have to first CREATE TYPE .. TABLE in database then only I can fire a Select statement on that TYPE.
Actually I wanted to fire a Select statement on the TABLE TYPE, defined & declared in PLSQL stored procedure using DECLARE TYPE .. TABLE & not using CREATE TYPE .. TABLE.
I was eager to know this, because my organization is reluctant in using CREATE TYPE .. TABLE defined in the database, so I was looking out for another alternative to access PL/SQL TABLE using Select statement without defining it database. It would have been good if I could access a PLSQL TABLE using Select statement Declared locally in the stored procedure.
Can I summarize that to access a PL/SQL TABLE using SELECT statement, I have to first CREATE TYPE .. TABLE?
If someone have any other idea on this, please do let me know.

XMP data not showing up in the custom file info panels when upgraded to CC

For several versions of Photoshop, I have been able to use a modified custom file info panel to input, update, and track psd files. With each version of photoshop there are always some changes in the way the object data is handled. The lastest challenge is:
1. XMP data not showing up in the custom file info panels when upgraded CC from CS6.
2. Raw data is not visible in CC in the File info panel.
3. This occurs in new documents where we create the xmp wrapper while the file template is built.
4. When metadata is manually entered into the file, the data is not added to the XMP wrapper when it is recreated on the save.
5. When a file that was created in CS6 is opened that contains the Metadata in the file info template. It is visible. the Raw data is also visible. Once the XMP wrapper is recreated - write and then close. The data is no longer available. the Raw data will not pull up in the file info panel.
Any feedback or a direction will be appreciated.

I have a script that the user runs to input xmp data into a Customized version of the generic file info panel. it is data that is gathered from the user when the psd file is created. once the file is open in photoshop. the information is visible in the File info panel , the raw data, and as a schema addition in the advanced tab.
in CC the nodes and the children of the XMP packet have changed positions. so that the XML -this.XMP.child(0).appendChild(this.createNode())
is no longer the node that can be appended.
Where XML.child(0).elements().length(); would enable the xmlns to be added in CS6

with all shifted, the initialize of the values and the delete XMP packet wrapper and create new or the amend to the XMP packet wrapper is undefined.

How to load data dynamically into target tables using files as a source

Hi ,
My scenario needs a single interface to load the data of 5 different files into five target tables using a single interface. All target tables have the same structure. It is possible to point to variable source files using ODI. But the same approach is not working with Database tables. I am getting errors while trying to make my target /source table as a dynamic one.
Can anybody suggest anything. The last option would be writing a dynamic PL/SQL block in the KM. Any other suggestions friends ?

After creating a pair of identical source and target tables, I have carried out the following steps:
I am trying just keeping the target as variable
a)created a one to one interface,
b)tested that it is running.
c)created a variable(type =text),
d)used the variable as #v_name in the resource of the target table datastore.
e)in a package used the variable in a set variable step (first step).
f) used the interface as the second step.
g)executed the same in my context.
the <project_code>.variable_name is not getting substituted in the sql_code that is generated by the KM. My KM is SQL Control Append and following is the code that it generates in the Insert into I$ step:

Bulk Load data without specifying column names in control file

I am totally new to the world of Oracle databases and am having some trouble doing some basic data imports from a csv file. I have a large amount of data in an excel spreadsheet (a couple hundred columns by varying numbers of rows from 2- several thousand) which I want to import into my Oracle 11g Database. Currently I am trying to use sql loader and specify the import syntax in the control file. From the examples I've seen so far, it seems you must specify the columns individually for what you are importing. This is simply not reasonable for several hundred columns of data.
Is there sql loader syntax (or a better method all together) to import a comma delimited csv or excel spreadsheet into an oracle database where it automatically generates a table and columns based on the data in the target import file? Even if I must first create the table in the database, my key issue is being able to generate the column names during import to match the column headers in the import file. I appreciate any help you could provide.
FYI here is my first meager attempt at importing a comma delimited csv, here is my ctl file:
load data
infile 'C:\filepath\mock_data.csv'
into table allData
fields terminated by "," optionally enclosed by '"'
It says Syntax error at line 4. Expecting "(", found end of file.
I suspect there is more at issue here than a missing "("

You have to create the control file to map to the table.
Since you would already have created the tables, you could generate the controlfiles based on the table structures.

-- it has scripts to create unload a table to a flat file and to create the SQLLoader controlfile to reload that data to another target database. It would be the second set of scripts that you can use.

Multple page not coming correctly when using "Control Levels"

Hi,
There is a situation wherein "Control Levels" is required to be used. However, the output is not as expected. Some of the problems with this are
1. Some of the data is being lost
2. Some pages are blank
3. The data is overlapping/overwriting on the footer section
and others issues..
Has anybody come across similar issues? If yes, could you suggest a solution

Having raised this message with OSS, we got to know that the issue was with the generated XML file. The line is BOLD needs to be added between the lines as shown below.

Javax.mail.internet.ParseException while busrting report using control file

Hi everyone...
I am trying to run a concurrent program that will burst emails using a control file.
In the data definition i want to use few parameters whose values will be passed from concurrent program.In the data definition i am calling an after report trigger function which will fire the seeded email bursting program.
My data definition file sample:

i have created data definition and template and attched it to the concurrent program via bi publisher.
While running the main concurrent program i am getting the following error:
