Please help my to solve this Problem
Thanks in Advance
Regards,
Rakesh
Hi Rakesh,
use the 'verify' icon in the query designer to check whether your query definition is correct. Furthermore you
can check if you can execute the query in the backend with transaction RSRT2. In TA RSRT2 try re-generating
the query before running it.
Also make sure that your are running the latest patch for your BI Java installation. If not and you have upgraded to
the latest version, you have to restart the J2EE-server after the deployment.
Best regards,
Alex

Error while generating Data provider
We are facing a weird issue while using Design Studio 1.2. Locally the tool works fine but when we use it from BI-Launchpad or through BI Enterprise it gives intermittent error "Error while generating Data Provider"
Same setup works fine in our Validation Environment.
We have tried running repair for Design Studio, redeploy the war files, creating new view but issue still exist.
We have BI 4.0 SP7 installed on Windows 2008 R2 system.
4 CMS running in cluster, Design Studio 1.2 is installed on 3 Nodes out of 4.
For now we are using 1 tomcat to access the system to narrow down the issue.
Experts please help us to resolve this issue.
Attach is the error message we are receivingI am not clear what your data source is, but I recommend checking the PAM https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001013822013E because there are some limitations with Design Studio and BI4.0

Data Provider Internal error(-3000): please help!
Hi,
I've a Web Application using Oracle Data Provider 9.2.0.2 to communicate with mu oracle DB.
I'm using the ExecuteNonQuery function to run a SQL statement (it's a select connect by), but after some time, I get the following error:
Data Provider Internal error(-3000)
It seems to happen if the query takes a lot of time.
If I reduce the number of returned rows, I don't get the error anymore.
After some searches through the internet I found that the problem should fixed in the next ODP release, 9.2.0.4: I installed it too, but with no success.
I played with the connection timeout and some other parameters without solving the error.
Someone can help me?
Thanks.
Daniele.I met the same question too.
I list your problem below:
my ODP.net is 9.2.0.4.
code snippet is below:
string constring = "user id=gz;data source=ipas_local;password=gz";
OracleConnection conn = new OracleConnection(constring);
OracleCommand cmd = new OracleCommand(sql,conn);
try
conn.Open();
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
catch(Exception ex)
doredirect = false;
lblMessage.Text = ex.ToString();
finally
conn.Close();
I have a Oracle9i DBMS which home_name is OraHome92 in my computer,and have a ODP.NET9.2.0.4 which home_name is ORADOTNET9 deferent from DBMS.
9i DBMS path:D:\oracle\ora92
ODP.NET 9i path:D:\oracle\ODPDotNet
my web app never work before
what's the meaning of "100% & consistently reproducible"?

Error generating data provider-Query cant be released
Hello Experts,
I am working on web template (WAD 3.5) where i have 6 graphs each having independadnt data provider (Bex query).
I also have drop boxes which represents the selection screen of queries attached to graphs.
'Affected data providers list' of dropboxes consist of all data providers that are attached to graphs in template, as each graph is supposed to get refreshed if user changes drop box selection.
Template was working fine until i made the change to query 2 which is dataprovider 2 for graph 2.
Since then i am not able to run template it gives me error -
-The query cant be release for OLE DB for OLAP
-Query couldnt be open
-Error generating data provider.
As i checkd that qury independantly in query analyzer, its working perfect without any error.
What could be the possible reason for this error then??

Data provider internal error(-3000) during DataAdapter.Fill
I get this error sporadically.
From other messages on this forum, it seems others are having similar problems. It appears the Oracle staff
is still struggling to identify and fix (or did I miss a post?)
I hope the next release can include some more informative diagnostic error messages. (no judgment implied, just a suggestion).
But I need this to work, so I'm posting my
info as well in hopes it will help.
Sorry for the length, but I think all the detail may be needed to diagnose.
I have been using ODP.Net for weeks without trouble
until recently. I just added a CLOB field to my table yesterday, and
the problem started. I don't know whether that's cause or coincidence.
Possible workarounds I will try:
1) Explicit select of columns rather than select *
2) Retry once on failure after short delay
Below, I'm including the exception message from the ASP.Net page.
It occurs at the same spot in my code, but often
it works fine. Now, an hour later, I cannot repeat the problem.
I've edited the "Source Error" section to
provide more of the code, so you can see the full context.
I've also pasted the stored procedure called so you can see what that is about.
I need this to work, so feel free to contact me if you need further information
to diagnose this in order to fix it.
I go live on March 7, so if I don't get a fix soon and can't find
a workaround, I'll just make a lame error message like "Site is very busy, please try again".
Even though the site is NOT busy. But having them try again seems to work.
And I don't want to tell them why I'm asking them to try again <grin>.
I am thinking of putting a try/catch block and sleeping for a second and then trying one more
time in my code. I'll let you know if that is an effective work-around.

ORA-02074 Error and MS Data Provider
I have no idea where to post this kind of stuff, but let's give this a try and if it should be posted elsewhere, just let me know and I will move it!
My C++ developers use the MS Data Provider to access our 9i database. They call stored procedures to do the usual kind of application tasks. Nothing special. Many of the procs take parameters and insert/update/ or delete rows in tables and either ROLLBACK or COMMIT. No transactions are left pending at the end of any proc.
Well, some procedures yield a "ORA-02074: cannot ROLLBACK in a distributed transaction" error message when two conditions are met:
(1) The procedure has a non-conditional "ROLLBACK" AND
(2) The procedure has been WRAPped and is obfuscated.
This is quite odd. It seems that that Oracle code behaves differently when WRAPped! Creating the same proc not WRAPped functions correctly! The WRAPped procs run fine in SqlPlus, but when called from the data provider the procs croke!
Any ideas? I mean, rational ones?
Regards
MichaelThe table does have a primary key (Cust_id), and like I said, I can update the data.
Thanks for the thought.... Any other ideas? Anyone have a datagrid sample that they want to share? (as long as it updates and you can add records to it).
Thanks - Jim -

Multiple installs of causing Data provider internal error (-3000) on Open
Hi,
We have an application written against Oracle ODP 10.1.0.401 that's been deployed out on a web farm working great for some time now, however recently another area has asked to get ODP for 11g installed on that server. The install originally broke our application, but we were able to resolve most of the issues after following all of the appropriate "PATH" reordering and registering appropriate dlls. In fact, we finally got a server completely back up and running both versions with no issues.
Unfortunately, it's a load-balanced server, and while one of the two servers is working correctly, the second seems to be having issues with specific parts of the install. We're trying to fix it on the second server now, and will be doing the same install shortly in our production environments.
I was able to break the error out and create a very simple test app to eliminate as many variables as possible. It appears to be an issue with the driver when we enlist into a Distributed Transaction.
The following code works fine:
var connection = new Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection(connectionStringBase + "Enlist=False");
connection.Open();
While this code does not:
var connection = new Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection(connectionStringBase);
connection.Open();
In both examples, connectionStringBase is Data Source=...;Validate Connection=true;User ID=...;Password=...; (where ... represents masked values). I've also tried "Enlist=True" in case the default was a problem, but it also fails.
The exceptions we're getting on the server happen in the .Open() call. The stack trace is:
[OracleException: Data provider internal error(-3000) [System.String]]
Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleException.HandleErrorHelper(Int32 errCode, OracleConnection conn, IntPtr opsErrCtx, OpoSqlValCtx* pOpoSqlValCtx, Object src, String procedure) +779
Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleException.HandleError(Int32 errCode, OracleConnection conn, IntPtr opsErrCtx, Object src) +41
Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection.Open() +3338
Default.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) in C:\Code\Oracle11gTest\Oracle11gTest\Default.aspx.cs:13
System.Web.Util.CalliHelper.EventArgFunctionCaller(IntPtr fp, Object o, Object t, EventArgs e) +14
System.Web.Util.CalliEventHandlerDelegateProxy.Callback(Object sender, EventArgs e) +43
System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) +91
System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +74
System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +2604
I've read a few articles on this particular error and found that it's generally considered an ambiguous error with many potential causes, most of which I've been trying to test and rule out. While I don't have direct access to the server, I've been working with someone who does and they have compared registry settings and registered dlls, and have told me that the 2 servers match, and we've already re-installed the 10.1 drivers hoping it would help, but at this point we're stumped. I've read that it's possible that the COM+ install could have become corrupt, but what confuses me is that just prior to the 11g install, everything works great, and after doing no more than an ODP 11g install, it breaks. Do you have any advice or suggestions we could try?
Thanks in advance for any insight you might have!
~JeffIf I read your post correctly that this is a "everything is equal as far as we know, but box A works and box B doesn't" type situation, my first suggestion would be to get Process Explorer from http://sysinternals.com, and compare the loaded modules between the working and non-working servers. You'll probably find that you're not using the software you think you're using, or have mismatched dlls across homes, or something to that effect. Once you figure out what the difference between the two is, correcting it will probably be the easy part.
Hope it helps,

Error When Trying to POST: Method not implemented in data provider class
Hi Experts,
I have created an Odata Service using Netweaver Gateway Service builder. I am using Advanced Rest Client to test the service. I can successfully GET my data, but I run into issues when I try and POST new data.
When trying to POST, I used the GET method to get the x-csrf-token, and added it to my header. I also updated the body XML with the data that I would like to POST. However, after sending the POST request, I am getting a "500 Internal Service Error" with the xml message "Method '<OdataServiceName>'_CREATE_ENTITY" not implemented in data provider class".
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Hi Kelly,
Can you share screenshots of the error? Maybe something wrong with payload :can you share the same also? Did you try to debug it by putting a breakpoint in the CREATE_ENTITY method in the backend? Any luck?

JK
