Database Procedure Proxies can only be created on ABAP systems running on a NewDB

Hi ,
I am Getting the Below Error When trying to Create a Proxy of Procedure in SAP HANA  -
Can any body Suggest what to do ?
I AM also Using HDB on my ABAP AS .
Attached is the Error Screenshot For your ref.
Thanks,
Shivam

Hi Shivam,
is your primary database the HANA or is HANA used as a secondary database?
You have to have SAP_BASIS at least 7.40 SP2 or higher and HANA has to be the primary database in your system.
Let me know if these prerequisits are fulfilled and still it does not work.
You can get the SAP_BASIS level from a SAPGUI, go for "System > Status..." and click on the Mangifying glass in the SAP System Data section. You may additionally past the database release information.
Thanks & Cheers,
  Jasmin

  • Creating Enhencement-Point  - Object can only be created in SAP package

    Hi Guys,
    I am creating an enhencement point in Z program in Z package. I am getting following message.
    " Object can only be created in SAP package "
    Please help.

    Hi Mini
    Enhancement points are like hooks where you can attach your own piece of code and coding in an enhancement point is no different than a normal coding , just that it is a point in the standard program into which you can give your own custom logic.
    There are 2 types of enhancements given by SAP:
    1. Explicit enhancement points: Go to program RIAUFMVK . You can see ENHANCEMENT-POINT at many places. These are all explicit enhancement points and you can easily implement these points . Simply press shift+F4 and then go to the point which you want to implement. Right click on  it and follow the path Enhancement implementation->create. Give the name of the implementation and the assign it to a package(shoud not be a Z package).
    Once it is created you can start your coding as you normally do.
    2. Implicit enhancement points are not very stable and should be the last resort after you have explored all the user exits , BAdIs and explicit points. In order to find out the implicit enhacement points , press shift+F4  then goto menu option Edit->Enhancement Operations->show implicit enhancement options. This will bring up all the points that you can enhance. This will appear as a line with arrows. To implement this you have to follow the same procedure as for explicit enhacement points.
    So enhacement point works like the other codes . Just that you should know which  one to implement and where. As far as possible avoid implicit enhacements as they are not very stable at present and even if you are going for it keep a  back-up of your code always.
    Hope this helps you. lemme know if you have any other issues.
    Cheers

  • How to create one procedure which can drop and create materialized view

    Hi,
    I want to create one pl/sql procedure which can first drop materialized view CATEGORY_PK and after that create same materialized view CATEGORY_PK.
    programme is as follows:
    DROP MATERIALIZED VIEW CATEGORY_PK;
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW CATEGORY_PK REFRESH FORCE WITH PRIMARY KEY AS
    SELECT cav1.ownerid AS categoryid, p.uuid AS productid ,p.domainID AS productdomainid,pav.stringvalue AS NAME
         ,pav2.stringvalue AS ID, pav3.stringvalue AS SHORT
    FROM product p, product_av pav, catalogcategory_av cav1, catalogcategory_av cav2,product_av pav2,product_av pav3
    WHERE
    cav1.NAME = 'PRODUCT_BINDING_ATTRIBUTE' AND
    cav2.NAME = 'PRODUCT_BINDING_VALUE' AND
    cav1.ownerid = cav2.ownerid AND
    p.uuid = pav.ownerid AND
              p.uuid = pav2.ownerid AND
              p.uuid = pav3.ownerid AND
    pav.NAME = cav1.stringvalue AND
              pav2.NAME = cav1.stringvalue AND
              pav2.NAME = cav1.stringvalue AND
    pav.stringvalue = cav2.stringvalue AND
              pav2.stringvalue = cav2.stringvalue AND
              pav3.stringvalue = cav2.stringvalue
    UNION
    SELECT catalogcategoryid AS categoryid, productid, repdomainid AS productdomainid,pav1.stringvalue AS NAME
         ,pav2.stringvalue AS ID, pav3.stringvalue AS SHORT
    FROM productcategoryassignment ,product_av pav1,product_av pav2,product_av pav3
         WHERE pav1.ownerid=productid
         AND pav2.ownerid=productid
         AND pav3.ownerid=productid
         AND pav1.NAME='name'
         AND pav2.NAME='productID'
         AND pav3.NAME='shortDescription';

What do you hope to achieve by this? A refresh? If so, a simple refresh of the old materialized view will do.
    If you truly want to continue this road, you'll have to use the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE command to execute DDL commands from within PL/SQL.

    logical client name ==?
    it is asking to select a software component wat we have to select to finish
    wen i gave some dummy values
    i get an error
    CIM_ERR_ALREADY_EXISTS: Instance already exists: SAP_BCApplicationServer.CreationClassName="SAP_BCApplicationServer",Name="C11.Number.00.HostName.rama"
    is it necessary to have WAS in r/3 to connect to portal plz explain

    i want to use jco
    but for that we need to create a techinical system
    i followed these steps for techinical system
    1 Step
    selected web as abap
    2nd step
    sid = PRD
    installation number== INITIAL
    database host name== super
    3rd step
    message server name = 3600+instance
    i took system number from sap gui(21)
    so i gave 3600+21=3621
    central application sever
    instance number ==21

    instance==21
    client number = 800
    logical client = left it empty
    5 th step
    selected one componenet and finished
    after this i created the jco
    1st Step general data
    name =test1
    client=800
    2nd step  j2ee cluster
    checked the box
    use local j2ee engine
    3rd step
    selected dictionary meta data
    4 th
    selected the techinical system
    5th
    user name -->sapuser
    pasww-->india
    pressed finish
    now i found the jco in green color
    but i pinged it
    i got mesg
    ping failed

  • Error: Partition function can only be created in Enterprise edition of SQL Server

    By using the Generate Scripts option in SSMS, I've duplicated this DB seven times so far. I do this due to the 10 Gig limit on Sql Express 2012.  I was doing this again today. I generated the script, did a search/replace to provide a new DB name for
    DB number eight in the series, and then I ran the script to create the DB, causing the error message. I don't remember seeing this error in the past. It's possible I created the first edition of this DB at home, but back then I only had express edition as
    I seem to recall (although I did purchase Developer a few months ago).
    I don't even know what the Partition function does. I'll try to look that up tonight.
    SSMS did create the DB, I just hope the error message doesn't forebode any problems.

    8A partition function is used when you partition a table. Partitioned tables is a feature that is available only in Enterprise and Developer Edition.
    I went through the script, and there are a number of partition functions and partition schemes, but they are not used anywhere, so you should be able to ignore the error.

  • How come My Sites can only be created when logged directly onto the Sharepoint Server?

    Hello Community
       In Synchronization I populate the container with OU's that contain
    Service accounts, user accounts created in the Sharepoint farm and a
    domain local group containing a OU with all of the trusted user accounts.
       AFter populating the container I perform a User Profile Synchronization.
       After the User Profile Synchronization finishes MIISClient shows "success"
    including the OU containing the trusted user accounts.
       Although I cannot Find all of the trusted users individually in Manage User Profile I
    can find them with the peoplepicker when I add them to the web application
    and the My Site Host application.
       The problem is if I logon directly onto the Sharepoint server with an account created
    in the Sharepoint farm I can create a My Site with that account. But if a trusted user
    logs onto their computer and tries to create a My Site they get an error stating
    the page can't be displayed.
        Even if I click "sign on as a different user" on the trusted user computer
    and with a user account that was created in the Sharepoint farm and try to create a
    My Site I get the error stating the page can't be displayed.
        The reason the page can't be displayed on the trusted users computer is because although
    it can access the My Site Host application it cannot access its default.aspx page.
        So the question is how come when creating a My Site the My Site Host default.aspx page
    cannot be accessed from the trusted user computer but when creating a My Site directly on
    the Sharepoint Server the default.aspx page can be accessed and the trusted user and/or the
    user account created in the farm can access the default.aspx page and create a My Site?
        Thank you
        Shabeaut

    What does that mean "trusted user computer"?
    How many servers you have in farm?
    Are you using a single domain or there are multiple domains involved ?

  • NW Client 3.4 - unattend.txt -- can only be created/edited on W98 for W98

    FYI:
    After spinning my wheels, trying to figure out why the ACU.EXE and
    SETUP.EXE /ACU options wouldn't install with an UNATTEND.TXT, I dis-
    covered the problem had to do with having created the file on a Win2K
    system.
    Unpacking the Novell Client 3.4 on my Windows 2000 professional
    I mistakenly thought I could run the NCIMAN.EXE, for version 3.4,
    create the UNATTEND.TXT file, and then use this with my install.
    Unfortunately, NCIMAN.EXE senses what system you're on and saves the
    UNATTEND.TXT file under whatever format is consistant with the O/S
    you're working on. [There doesn't seem to be any way to tell NCIMAN
    to save the configuration file for a different O/S.]
    If, like myself, you miss this . . . the UNATTEND.TXT file will be created
    (or saved after editing) under a Windows 2000 format--which won't run
    on a Client 3.4 install. [You can verify the version it was saved under
    by looking at the second line of the UNATTEND.TXT file . . . the one
    that reads: "Novell_Client=" ("95" for Win95/98) or "NT" (for 2000 or
    XP).]
    'Hope this saves some others from similar grief . . .

    You can also run NCIMAN, Go to File -> New File, and choose the O/S of

  • This feature can only be installed on a server running SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 or later ERROR

    Attempting to install MBAM 2.5, and the SQL Server I have available for the install is SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2; the databases installed correctly, but when I run the Reports install it suddenly doesn't like my SQL anymore. The error says I need to install
    SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1, SQL Server 2012 SP1, or later - and the server is already at that level.
    Any idea of how to progress without needing to wipe out SQL and upgrading everything to 2012 R2? I really need to get this running ASAP, so I'm hoping there's a tip that will allow me to get the install to complete.

    Added note: When I check the mbam setup logs in event viewer, I get the following error:
    IsSupportedSqlVersion: The SQL version is not supported - 10.50.1600.1.
    Checking the version in SQL Management Studio shows:
    select @@VERSION

    I'm working on an XP OS. I was able to connect to and tnsping the regular service id with no problem, but shortly after trying to unsuccessfully create another database, I now can only connect and tnsping the database using the full path

  • Consume a HANA Database Procedure from an ECC system (Netweaver 7.31 sp 04)

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to consume a HANA Database Procedure (for that matter anything which is in HANA system) in an ECC system using ABAP?
    I checked the forums and it is mentioned that it is possible to consume from Netweaver 7.4 but we have Netweaver 7.31 sp 04.
    Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
    -Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
    You can use native SQL to call HANA database procedures or any other HANA views from ABAP.
    You can refer this link to get the more info on how to call native procedures using ABAP.

  • How many tasks can I have in NI-DAQmx system?

    I am working out of the office this week - please send your response to [email protected] as well as my normal email [email protected].
    I am designing a new test platform that will run on C# (because we like object oriented text based programming and because the IDE is free).  For hardware we'll use your PXI modules (because your hardware is ultra-reliable).  I'm starting with the following PXI modules 6259, 4072, 6509, 2575, and 2569, but we made add other modules later as future requirements demand.  I am doing the system software architecture now.  I've done some dabbling with Ni_daqmx, and I loathe "tasks" and "channels", but am determined to make them work.
    The difficulty I'm having revolves around the overhead with setting up tasks and channels and with the concept of tasks and channels.  Help hasn't helped much.  Tasks seem to work great if you intend to always collect the same large amount of data from many sources and always will do it in exactly the same way.
    We want something much more akin to random access memory.  We'll have UUTs of different kinds coming on and off at random times.  Sometimes a test will need a simple DC voltage, and other times another test will need 2 seconds worth of data at 1MS/s.   It can cost around 150msec to make that change (stop the current task, creat another one, configure anohter channel, start up a new task, blah, blah, task this, channle that - for the life of me I can't understand what this damn taks concept does for me but make matters more complicated and bog down my system).
    I can just barely glean from the help that I can have only one analog input task at once, but I can have sevferal taks of several different kinds running at the same time ( a digital output task and another task for digital input, and another task for analong input, etc.) .  It does seem that I can set realys without having to put them into a channel and a task (Thank goodness for that - I just wanna turn on a relay I have no idea what a relay "channel" might be.)
    In the PXI system I described above I'll have two devices that are analog input devices, the DMM and the Daq.  Even with two devices, can I only have one analog input task running?  Does that mean I've got to waste 150msec just to switch from the DMM to the Daq? (Do you understand my frustration with "tasks"? - I should be able to say "read DMM" and turn around and say "read Daq channel 0" without having to jump thru task and channle hoops and waste a bunch of time doing it).
    I'll also have Daq digital IO and two 6509 digital io modules.  Do I have to cram all of that into some "task" concept too?  The Daq card has got many other kinds of wonderful capability (frequency measurement, counters, analog output).  How many tasks can I have for that stuff?  On the DMM card I can measure capacitance amoung other things.  Will I have a capacitance task?  The idea of a "capacitance task" hurts my head.
    Golly I hate tasks.  Please help.
    I am working out of the office this week - please send your response to [email protected] as well as my normal email [email protected].

    For some the concept of tasks may seem daunting, however, for many applications it makes life a lot more simple.  A task at a very fundamental level is simply a collection of channels with a single type (AI, DI, DO, etc.)  and a single timing configuration (sampling rate, continuous vs. finite, etc.).  It is a way to organize configuration data.
    The concept of a task is an abstraction like OO programming.  Like OO programming it may take some time to understand but can be a time saver in the end.  Also like OO programming it does add some initial programming overhead.  It is much more simple to simply type a printf statement in C than to have to create a bunch of classes just to output text to the screen. You can accomplish the same thing not using OO programming, but in the end OO programming is extremely useful, because it groups useful information and methods together in one place.
    With very simple applications OO programming sometimes does not make sense.  But as a program gets more and more complex OO programming becomes more and more useful.  It takes some learning but it is worth it.
    I believe the concept of a task does the same thing.  It does not change the actual functionality of the device or add excessive overhead.  It is just an abstraction that pulls configuration data about a specific "task" and methods the task can perform into a single logical place.
    Unlike the entirely abstract concept of an Object, a Task is run on a physical device and therefore has physical limitations.  You can create multiple tasks of the same type, but you can only run a one timed task of each type on a single board at a time.  In other words you can have multiple AI tasks running at the same time but they need to run on different boards or only one can be timed (have a rate).  You can also have multiple timed AI tasks configured for a single board but only one can actually be running at a time.
    The reason you can only have a single timed task running at a time is because the M-Series boards (and many other boards as well) have a single timing engine for each type of acquisition or generation.  There is a single timing engine for AI, one for AO, and so forth.  You cannot have channel 1 running at 1 MS/s and another running at 50 kS/s.
    However, tasks can exist even when they are not being actively run.  You can create all the tasks you need at the beginning of your program and simply start and stop them as you need.  After the task is stopped you do not need to clear the task until the end of your program.  You can further increase performance by moving the Task into the latest state possible without actually starting the task.  This can be done by calling myTask.Control(TaskAction.Action).  The Task states are further explained in the NI-DAQmx Help Manual.
    The concept of a  task will need to be used with any device that is being programmed using NI-DAQmx.  The 6259 and 6509 will need to be programmed using DAQmx.  With the 2575 and 2569 you have the choice of either using the NI-DAQmx API or the NI-SWITCH API.  The SWITCH API does not use the concept of tasks.  For the 4072 you will need to use the NI-DMM API.  This API also does not use the concept of tasks.
    Hopefully this information is helpful.  Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
