Copy all the content on your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes. Then go ahead and sync the iPod with your new library.

Can only connect one user at a time via VPN?
Hi, long-term Mac user but new to OS X Server. Dug thru the forums quite a bit but couldn't find an answer to this one - hopefully I wasn't searching with the wrong keywords.
Installed OS X Server 10.6 on a MacBook (white, 1 generation back) at the office. Sits behind an Airport Extreme, which is connected to Comcast. Other machines at the office are NOT routed through the Server, but rather connect directly to the Airport Extreme for internet access. I've set up server.mydomainname.com to point to our Comcast address, and I am able to connect via VPN to the server without any problems, and access the server using the server.mydomainname.com address which I pointed to my Comcast IP address, as long as I check "Send all traffic over VPN connection" on my client.
However, when I'm logged in via VPN on one computer, and then log in via VPN on another computer (with the same UID or a different one), the first one loses all connectivity through the VPN - it's as if it had been logged off.
In Server Admin, under the Settings|Network tabs, I have Computer Name set up as "theserver", and Local Hostname as "theserver" (so I can access via theserver.private). VPN is set up to enable L2TP over IPsec, sharing ranges 10.0.1.200 thru 10.0.1.220; no load balancing, no PPTP. Client DNS servers is set to 10.0.1.29.
Any ideas as to why I can only connect with one client at a time?Thanks. I didn't see anything interesting, but then again I'm not up on VPN details. Here's the scenario:
First, I logged in as "user1", and I can use the VPN.
Then, I logged in as "user2", and I can use the VPN with user2, but user1 is no longer able to do anything over the VPN.
Then I hung up with user2, but user1 still can't see anything over the VPN.
Then I hung up and reconnected with user1, and user1 can use the VPN again.
Here's part of the log for this activity. I've replaced potentially identifying info with "XYZ" for safety. Appreciate any thoughts on this!

Since the last update (about a month or two ago) I have been unable open new tabs unless I find a webpage that takes me to a new link and therefore opens a new tab. It is highly annoying as I need to open multiple pages at once.

Ever since I installed the add-on Favicon Picker 2 that lets you change the bookmark icons, I can't open tabs any more. The second tab will open, but if you try to go to a site, the FIRST tab redirects to that site. Basically, I can only use one tab at a time. Is there any way I can keep this add-on and use tabs?
Oh, wow - look at that, you're right :) I didn't want to uninstall the add-on as I like the feature, but simply by disabling it you can keep the new icons AND use tabs. Thanks dude!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Restart your mobile device. -
I need some help I set my IPhone up yesterday and now I am trying to set up my IPad but I only have one Itunes account and one email but the IPad error message states "The apple ID is already being used" I dont know how to get passed this and my family and I only have one account and we all have IPhones now I dont want them to update if we cant all use the same account. How do I import or move multiple selected photos to an existing album in iPhoto 9.6? In previous versions I could select and drag multiple photos into an album. Now I can only move one photo at a time. Help!
Try this general troubleshooting procedure:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox. -
I had to reset my phone and I only have one of my ringtones I had 4.. Why'd it delete 3 and not the last one and now I can't get em back without paying for them again!!! What the **** is up with that??
Yup, your question and Diane's answer helped me also. Tho' I had had problems before getting into the iTunes store I always managed to find a way. Today they had me blocked cold with the "Update to 10" advert no matter what I did. Other questioners are being told, incorrectly as it turns out, that they have to update their OS to accomodate iTunes 10 and upgrade to iTunes 10. I did the download which did not take up much more room on my crowded old hard drive and now I'm back in business.

Can only print one item at a time
Hey everyone,
Bit of a Photoshop novice here, use it for DVD covers and labels. I have been using CS3 previously but upgraded to CS5.5 last year. The thing is on CS5.5 I can only print one page at a time even when I input say 20 copies to be printed, only one will print. That goes for the regular printer for printing covers and the disc printer.
I can open CS3 up and right away it will print however many I ask it to.
Is there something I am missing? Something so painfully obvious that it is staring me in the face but I am just not seeing it?
Thanks in advance!It isn't a printer setting. I have 3 different printers connected to my system and all of them worked with CS3 fine. And when I delete the preferences folder for CS5.1 it works as it should but only once, then afterwards it only prints one copy, no matter how many I ask it to print!
So if it works when the preferences have been removed, then fails to work afterwards, how can that be a printer setting?
I have read elsewhere that others have had similar issues with CS5 and Windows 7. -

Using Mail, I have a very strange phanomenon: I can only open one email at a time. E.g. when writing a new email, I cannot open another email for reference. I need to close and save the new email as a draft before being able to open another one. Obviously, I am not reading two emails at a time, but I might be writing one and needing infos/text from another. It sounds stupid, but that's the way it is. :-/ -
I transferred data from my Macbook Pro to my Mac mini but it forced me to make a new user for my old data. How do I transfer my music, pics, and docs from the "old" user to the new user (so that I only have one user instead of 2?)
Unless you transfer the files from Setup Assistant, Migration Assistant creates a new user with the data.
To transfer the files to your first user, you have to log on this new user, and copy all your files to /Users/Shard folder. This is a folder where you can put the files you want to share between two or more users, and all users can read and write in it.
After copying the files, go to your first user, open /Users/Shared folder, and copy the files to your user folders. If you migrated applications, you must know that they are stored in a common folder (/Applications), so you don't have to transfer them. To open /Users/Shared folder, open Go menu (in the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type the folder -
I am trying to print all the PDF pages in a range of 5 pages but can only print one page at a time . . . It will print the current page only, but not all or pages 1-5. I need to go to the next subsequent page and command to print current page; continuing with this procedure until all pages are printed one at a time. Can this be overcome?
You can use printPages(1, 5), however I need to know how you print current page.
