Datafile created with the existing datafile Name

Question

Hi Experts
We have accidentally created a datafile with the same name on the same location

And here I reproduced your case with a solution :

SQL> select tablespace_name,file_id,file_name,dump(file_name) from dba_data_files where tablespace_name='NIC'

SQL> alter tablespace nic rename datafile '/data/oracle/rmandb/nic.dbf  ' to '/data/oracle/rmandb/nic2.dbf';  <-- rename file on Oracle level
Tablespace altered.
SQL> alter tablespace nic online;
Tablespace altered.
-- Now everything looks OK
SQL> select tablespace_name,file_id,file_name,dump(file_name) from dba_data_files where tablespace_name='NIC';
