Dataload log in Application

Hello Friends, I am trying to load my essbase cube using SQL interface. The SQLtable I am tryin to load has like 17 lac rows. I want to see the dataload status in the application log. Is there any way by which I can see the data load status in theapplication log for eg: 25000 records loaded etc. I think we can if so how do we go about making changes in theCFG files to depict these details. Hi Guys,
I am pretty new on J2EE, I created a web application and deployed it on to the oracle application server. I found out that I can view the log file(application.log) for that particular web application on the application control page. What I want to achieve is outputing some custom log on to the same built-in log file. Could anyone please show me how to do that?

Hi, I figured out that ADF is a oracle's implementation of JSF, I tried above approach it did log to a log.xml in the particular folder. However, I would like to output to a log file that you can actually view in the Enterprise Manager Console...

Error while logging into applications in R12(21.1.3)

Hi,
We are getting below error while logging into applications in R12 (12.1.3).
**"You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the system administrator for assistance"**
Everytime we face this issue, we will bounce OACORE services then the issue will not occur again.
Can you please help me in finding permanent fix for this issue?
FYI,
I have performed the following debugging steps to check the issue further
1.     Enabled FND diagnostics at the site level .
2.     Added following lines in ocj4.properties file
AFLOG_ENABLED=true
AFLOG_LEVEL=statement
AFLOG_MODULE=% (% captures all - preferable to use products such as fnd, ies, por)
AFLOG_FILENAME=/tmp/test.log
3.     Examined the output from aoltest.jsp. Please find the attached AOL-J diagnostics test file.
Then I have reproduced the issue, and examined all the log files but couldn’t find any error information.

Control the size of Essbase.log and application log

Understand that there are many message were written to the Essbase.log and application log. Is there any method to control what kind of message to be written to the log file so as to reduce the IO frequency of the server disk folders?

Cameron LackpourThanks! We already separate the log files from the data files but they still in the same hardware server. Yes, in SAN environment we really don't know where it the physical drive.
Essbase do not have log rotate option like Apache and maybe we should archive the essbase log regularly and clear it up.
We don't have much unknown member case in our log. Anyway we will investigate the option SSLOGUNKNOWN

Any parameters can restrict user ID to log-on application server

Dear All,
I had configured the login group (/nSMLG) as following:
Logon Group Instance
TEST            app1
TEST            app2
                    app3
                    app4
However, app3 and app4 still have illegal user log-on.
Did any profile parameters can restrict user ID to log-on application
server?

Hello Well Well,
I could clearly understand what you mean. From what you have stated I am able to understand that:
1. You have 4 application servers.
2. You have included 2 of them in Logon group TEST.
3. The remaining two are not part of logon group.
4. You want users not to login into app3 and app4 but to TEST only.
There is no profile paramter for this. At the max you can close the dispatcher port for these 2 servers but then no one would be able to login into them.
Best is to include all of them in to SMLG.

Hey for a school project i need an application that can be blocked as a "biometric log in application". I tried rohos free facial recognition
but i don't think the windows biometric framework (WBF) GPO settings recognize it as a biometric application. Does anyone know of a free or cheap application that is recognized by the WBF, as in one to log into the domain with? I think when it says biometric
it means a fingerprint scanner.

As far as I know, Fingerprints are the only biometric factor supported by the Windows Biometric Framework at this time.

Excel format:
Server Name, Log Name, Time, Source, Event ID and Message.
Require logs:
Application, Security, System, DFS Replication and Directory service.
And these excel file has to be send to Email address.
