DataRepeater Control Item Values

I have bound a datarepeater control in the usual manner to a sql database table. Rather than typing manually, customers send excel spreadsheets with most of the data required, but not all the data required to satisfy the database table. In this case, the
customer sends a drawing containing the addition items. I can programmatically acquire the items from the excel spreadsheet and I would like to dump those items into the datarepeater. (The repeater would be handy to scroll while the user finds the
additional information on the drawing before committing the information back to the sql database table.) I could programmatically call datarepeater1.AddNew() that triggers the position_changed event on the bindingsource for instance. Of course
it adds -1,-2,-3... for each call. What I need to do is fill in information on the textbox items that were dragged on to the datarepeater form that seems easy on the bindingsource, but how to you get the same information to show on the repeater?

In Post_query trigger,write the sql statement,for example,'select ** into ** from **'

  • Line Item Value change in MIRO Transaction

    I have one  requirement i.e as follows.
    <b>Line Item Value change in MIRO Transaction</b>
    After getting the items in table control of  the miro screen of a particular order.
    I have to clicked on edit own condition of selected item.
    then it will show another screen ( create invoice document item - conditions)which have the all condtions details like
    Fra1 , frb1 , sd%  ,  Penalty % , gross price , frieght charges etc.
    In this screen first time it is showing line item as
    in the miro intial screen i.e. if u click po item
    10 it will show 10 only.
    after  updating fra1  value , i came back to the main screen at that time it is asking that select the any one of three.
    after selecting manual selection its fra1 was changed.
    once again if i go to the same line item by clicking
    the edit own condition(13 column if u select all information in textbox whixh is above tablecontrol right corner) it is showing line item as 1 in screen ( create invoice document item - conditions) which  should be line item as 10. ( here i took line item as 10)
    Please clarify this, why it is showing
    first time as  a original line item and
    after updating it is showing like
    for line item 10 -
    1
                   20 -
    2
                  100 -
    10
                  110 -
    11.

  • Need to Stop Serial/Lot control item to be automatically picked

    Hi,
    I have an requirement for auto (schedule pick release). But customer wants that only non serial/lot controlled items will be auto picked. But Lot Controlled and Serial Controlled (At Receipt) items will not be picked automatically. How I can achieved that ?
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Sayantan,
    You do have a couple of options depending on what release of the apps you're on and how you set the Inv Org parameter Allocate Serial Numbers.
    From 11.5.10 on, a potential new value can be set for this parameter (available also on 11.5.8 and 9 via backport patch). The parameter governs the way serial numbers are allocated at Pick Release.
    Previously, the values available for this parameter were just a basic “No” (the default value) or “Yes” (whereby Oracle would auto-suggest, in a non-intelligent way, available serial numbers at the time of pick release). The new value available is “Yes – User-defined” which allows some custom logic to be applied to the serial number allocation.
    With the value set to “Yes – User-defined”, Oracle checks for any custom code in the INVSRSTB.pls stub/custom hook when a pick release is launched. (Inv_Detail_Serial_Pub.Get_User_Serial_Numbers)
    Regards,
    Jon
    P.S. Also take a look at *Auto Pick Confirm Flag Does Not Work For Serial Items If Allocate Serial Number is Set to'Yes User Defeined' [ID 337964.1]* on MOS.

  • How to combine Submit value and item values in report condition?

    What I have is a report with some input parameters, one of which is a Select List with Submit that forces population of a second Select List. There is also a GO button. Depending on the combination of the two drop-downs, one of three report regions then gets displayed. This all works fine, but the users would like the report NOT to show UNTIL they click on the GO button. I'm trying to figure out how to tweak my conditions to include a Submit value along with item values. Can someone suggest a solution?
    (PS. I'm using dependent selects because I'm still using APEX 3.2)

    Hello
    When your page is submitted due to the the parent select list's value getting changed the APEX 'REQUEST' variable is set to the name of the select list item.
    You could perhaps use this to perhaps set a hidden item on the page whose value can then be checked in the conditions that control the display of your report regions.

  • Reg. Webdb control items

    Hi,
    In Webdb, How can we add control items(Text item,Button ...) for the form.
    I've added the control item , but during the runtime
    while I try to insert a record it gives an error. So how to add control item
    to the form without affecting the base table.
    Thanks,
    Palani.
    ([email protected])

    If I understood you correctly, you are saying the below
    The Lot LOV on the Subinventory Transaction Form is NOT SAME as the Lot LOV on the Lot/Serial serial screen which opens on the click of Lot/Serial button.
    I asssume that the source subinv and locator values are the same when you are looking at both the LOV's, please confirm.

  • Control Item Types Desc Flex

    I am trying to define a DFF for Change Orders using "Control Item Types Desc Flex". When I define, it appears in Issues , Change Requests and Change Orders.
    How do i make it avialable only for chang orders and define different for issues.
    Thanks in advance

    These DFFs are common to control items (CI , CO & CR) . So all pages (Change Requests , Change Orders and Issues ) will be having this DFF. One way which can be thought of is using personalization , you can hide in page you want.But here also one thing to be noted is , if you have some required segments defined for DFF, hiding DFF will cause submit error as required attribute value is not provided.
    So in case required segment is there , defined some default value to that segment.
    Hope this helps
    Thanks

  • Item Attributes which control item coming to HTML quoting

    Please let me know which item attributes will control item availablity in quoting

    In Item Master Form, we have noticed Item field and description field. My questions are as follows:
    Q1) How to know the field is flex field or not? When we examine the field, we are not sure whether the field is flex or not.
    There are 2 types of flexfields. Key Flexfield (such as the item number itself) and descriptive flexfields. Descriptive Flexfields are the fields that pop up when you click on the beer mug next to the description.
    Q2) Is Item Field a flex field? If yes how to create Item field as segment base (with List of Values as my example mentioned above). If Item field is not flex field can we make it Flex field without customization
    Item # is a key flexfield. You define a value set and assign the value set to the Item KFF segment1. Typically, the value set would simply define how many characters can it have, if it will have numbers only etc.
    Q3) Is Description a flex field? It appear to us it is flex field. If yes how to change the segments of that, and make them as list of values as my example above.
    No.
    Q4) In Item catalog, we have seen “Catalog Group”, is this a flex field?
    No
    Q5) In the Item catalog form, on the Catalog Group. We have seen some descriptive elements. These are look like attributes of the Item, and we have seen these are link with Catalog Group. My question is, how can we make these Descriptive elements as List of Values? Which means we don’t want to each time type the values rather select the values. So this will solve our problems as example I mentioned above.
    There is no out of the box way to attach LOV to Catalog element values.
    It is good that you are trying on your own but I would suggest brining in a good consultant who can make this easier and faster for you.

  • Setting an item value before print report in BI Publisher

    Hi,
    I am having an issue with setting a page item's value once a button (that prints a BI Publisher report) is pressed. The session state for the item is set, however because the page does not re-load no value appears in the item on the page.
    I am using a button as a page Item and using a Page Branch with the Branch Point set as On Submit: After Processing(After Computation, Validation, and Processing) with the Page set to 0 and the Request set to PRINT_REPORT=REPORT
    Is there any way to set the item value on the page before branching to the report?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    -Marsha

    Marsha,
    You can do that as follows:
    1- create a hidden text item (P20_date_hidden) with default value set to sysdate.
    2- for your button >> edit >> Buttom display attributes >> attributes >> type in : onFocus= "set_date();" (( note: am using onFocus because it takes places before onClick ))
    3- In your page >> edit >> HTML header >> type in :
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function set_date()
    v_date = $x('P20_DATE_HIDDEN').value;
    $x('P20_DATE_LETTER_SENT').value = v_date;
    </script>
    Hope this helps,
    Sam

  • Is it possible to know if an item value has changed

    Hi,
    I'm working on a form and need to know if an item value has changed without compare it with database_value of get_item_property. there is a button <save> on the form and i want to know when user click again and again on button save if this item value has changed. thanks for your ideas.

    Tabit7 - Posted: Apr 9, 2011 12:15 AMbut sometimes in query mode, the item is not navigable and its vallue changed and the prev_value did not work, perhaps the w-n-i-i do not fire>
    If you look up the trigger in the Forms Help system it will tell you if the trigger will fire in Query Mode. The WNII trigger will file in Query Mode where as the Pre-Text-Item trigger does not.
    i try an other way and it seems to work, i put a flag in w-v-i when database_value is different from block value and use this flag in button Save, thanks a lot for your idea it put me in the way. Glad you were able to find a way to resolve your issue. ;-)
    HamidHelal - Posted: Apr 10, 2011 9:27 AM can you please give an example of u'r idea ? >
    First, create a variable that is visible to the entire form. Many people would simply use a GLOBAL variable, but I do not like the limitations of GLOBALs and I don't like the fact that they are visible to the entire Forms sessions, not just my form. I prefer to use a Forms program unit (PU) Package Specification so I can explicitly define the variable data type (eliminates the need to cast the GLOBAL to the correct data type) and the variable only occupies the amount of memory needed to support the variable. Also, when I exit my form, the variable is automatically erased.
    /* Sample Forms PU Package Specification */
    PACKAGE Form_vars IS
       g_prev_val   VARCHAR2(50);
    END Form_vars;No that I've created a variable to store the Previous Value of an Item, I can write code to use it. I will use a Form Level When-New-Item-Instance (WNII) trigger to ensure I capture the value exiting value of the item before any changes.
    /* Sample WNII trigger */
    BEGIN
       Form_vars.g_prev_val := Name_in(:system.trigger_item);
    END;This is a very simple example. There are many other ways to implement this method; such as using the Pre-Text and Post-Text-Item triggers as Abdetu suggested.

  • Redirecting an item value to another page..

    Hi,
    I am trying to auto-populate couple of values on page 2 when I click a button on page 1. Tried setting the item values using the comma separated list and also by re-directing to an url. Hit an issue when the values that need to be set itself contain a comma within itself. Could you let me know if there is any other de-limiter that I can use instead of a comma while setting the item values.
    For instance:
    There is a button on Page 58. When this button is clicked, I should be redirected to page 45 in the application and the values in P58_Name and P58_LocId should be auto-populated in P45_Name and P_45LocId.
    Only when there is NO comma in value of P58_Name, this works fine. But, when there is a comma in P58_Name this is what happens:
    P58_Name = Mickey, Mouse
    P58_LocId = 145
    Once the button is clicked on page 58, the fields in page 45 are auto-populated as below:
    P45_Name = Mickey
    P45_LocId = Mouse
    Will there be a way to use a different de-limiter in the comma separated list? Kindly help.
    Thanks,
    P

    the trouble is that the comma in the item name messes up with Apex URL structure, since it uses a comma separated list of item names and values..
    You can set another item with the escaped value of the item in Javascript using the escape function(builtin)
    escape( $v('ITEM_NAME'))or in PSLQL using APEX_UTIL.URL_ENCODE or HTF.encode functions
    and then refer that new item in the Branch instead of the old one one(with commas)

  • BUG: Sorting drop-down lists from the field tab when using "specify item values"

    Hi all,
    I've finished creating my form now, but I came across this whilst writing up my documentation for maintenance tasks.
    This occurs when adding new values to a drop-down list that has the "Specify item values" checkbox in the binding tab checked.
    When I then try to sort my list using the built in sort buttons, it will sort the items, but the list of specified values in the binding tab does not sort reorder to stay with the original items in the list.  This is hapenning when I sort from the Object > Field tab.  If I sort in the Object > Binding tab then the sort will include the specified values.
    For example:
    A    5
    C    2
    D    9
    Add a new value to get:
    A    5
    C    2
    D    9
    B    10
    Sort the list using the button:
    A    5
    B    2
    C    9
    D    10
    But it should be:
    A     5
    B     10
    C     2
    D     9

    I was able to duplicate this problem and it looks like a possible bug.  I've submitted it to support.

  • Contract Release value is not updated with Limit item value

    We have SRM 4.0 with ECS scenario.
    Contract are created in SRM and replicated to ERP.
    If we create PO with Service line and Limit line using contract in both of these line items, contract Release value is getting updated only with Service line item value.
    But the contract Total value is the addition of Service and Limit value of PO.
    Why Contract Release value is not getting updated with Limit item value. Please help as early as possible.

    Hi Sandeep
    Yes. there are various reasons .upon your contract incorrect status and linkage not establised / or more attachment in SRM GOA.
    what type of contract are you using? GOA or CCTR
    If it is GOA - which version of SRM and service pack ?are you in ?
    If it is a GOA , BLAREL idoc might failed to post the release value in the SRM .
    How contracts are created material / mat group ?
    to fix or understand the issue, you need to recreate the issue.
    what is the ERROR in BLAREL in SRM idoc monitoring ?
