DataService Destination Clustering is  not working

Hi All ,
We are trying to get clustering configured for our application so that DataService's Destination keep serving  the cleint in case of any server failure .  We are using F5  hardware load balancer.
We have set up a default-cluster, using tcp and  while creating DataService Destination we are setting cluster ID  as follows
1)
            DataNetworkSettings ns = new DataNetworkSettings();
            ns.setPagingEnabled("false");
            ns.setClusterId("default-cluster")
2) service-config.xml
     <clusters>
        <cluster id="default-cluster" properties="jgroups-tcp.xml" url-load-balancing="false" />
      </clusters>
3) jgroup-tcp.xml - First
    <TCP bind_addr="114.19.8.161"  start_port="7800" loopback="true" enable_diagnostics="true"/>
    <TCPPING timeout="3000" initial_hosts="114.19.8.226[7800]" port_range="1" num_initial_members="1"/>
    <MERGE2 min_interval="10000" max_interval="20000"/>
3) jgroup-tcp.xml - Seond
    <TCP bind_addr="114.19.8.226"  start_port="7800" loopback="true" enable_diagnostics="true"/>
     <TCPPING timeout="3000" initial_hosts="114.19.8.161[7800]" port_range="1" num_initial_members="1"/>
     <MERGE2 min_interval="10000" max_interval="20000"/>
I am using Jboss4.2.2 GA and LCDS2.6.1and we have licenced version of LCDS
I am getting following message on JBoss console : -

  • RFC Destination SAPFTPA is not working

    Hi,
    I am able to connect FTP via RFC Destination SAPFTP which is for front end but RFC Destination SAPFTPA for background run is not able to connect with FTP location.
    I have checked the trace with program RSFTP005 and it looks okay. However, when I run RSFTP002 to test the RFC destination SAPFTPA it gives error message " Attempted to connect ftp destination failed "
    Please, let me know if I need to check something in SM59 ( I suppose all is well there as the RFC destination would be created automatically ).
    Thanks,
    Alok Mehta

    Hi
    Greetings!!
    Actually i am also stuck up in a similar situation.
    When I use SAPFTP as the destination since it works. However with SAPFTPA, i am getting the same login error as in your case.
    If you were successful in getting the issue resolved, can you please share the solution.
    with best regards,

  • Linking to destination in PDF not working in published project

    I have a Captivate 8 project where buttons open an external pdf to specific destinations or pages within a PDF document. I append "#" followed by the destination name or page number to the URL and that works perfectly when I'm testing the project within Captivate. However, when I publish the project and run it in a browser (IE 11 and Chrome) or the standalone Flash player, The pdf file opens on the default first page and the destination info appended to the URL is no longer there. To summarize, the destination linking works perfectly in preview mode, but it gets stripped out when the project is published. Is anyone familiar with this issue and/or how to fix it?

    Did you try previewing all the pages in browsers?
    Click on File>Preview in Browser>Preview all pages in your_browser_name.exe.

  • Button's Destination URI is not working

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to keep a button(View Invoice) on a custom notification page. Whenever the button is clicked, it needs to open a new page(not OA.jsp) to show the invoice image.
    I used Item Style as Button and in the controller, setDestination method was called to set the page URL. Button is coming on the page, but there is no link on it. I am not getting any java script error also.
    Thanks in advance.

    Here you can try
    1) Create a FUNCTION and wrp your region in that function with comple OA.jsp?/URL , you can take a look exisiting funcition. Lets say the function name is FUNCTION_NAME
    2) Set the button type to submit button.
    3) In the button property, set ActionType to "fireAction" and Event to "Myevent"
    Now in the processFormRequest() you can handle this event as show below
    String event = pageContext.getParameter("event");
    if ("Myevnt".equals(event))
    //when the create portfolio button clicked.
    pageContext.setForwardURL("FUNCTION_NAME",
    RESET_MENU_CONTEXT,
    "MENU_NAME",
    params,
    true, // Retain AM
    ADD_BREAD_CRUMB_YES, // Do not display breadcrums
    OAWebBeanConstants.IGNORE_MESSAGES);
    You can set retainAM paramter to true, so you prvious page information will be retain and you can go back to previous page using breadcrump. However it will not be a new page.

  • Jrockit multicast bug on RHEL4, WLS cluster does not works!

    OS and Kernel Version: Linux achilles1 2.6.9-34.0.1.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed May 17 16:59:36 EDT 2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
    We use Bea Weblogic 8.1SP5 with Jrockit JVM 1.4.2 on RHEL3. We upgraded to operating system to RHEL4, and found that the interface binding for multicast communication does not bind to the correct interface, it is always using the default interface. We tried it from a sample program, and found that the error is in the JVM.
    This is a critical error for us, because our application server cluster use multicast for cluster communication.
    No error msg. It seems like this BUG:
    http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4082533 but it is solved.
    List steps to reproduce the problem:
    socket = new MulticastSocket(i);
    if(s2 != null)
    try
    InetAddress inetaddress = InetAddress.getByName(s2);
    System.out.println("Using interface at " + inetaddress.getHostAddress());
    socket.setInterface(inetaddress);
    System.out.println(socket.getInterface());
    catch(SocketException socketexception)
    throw socketexception;
    }

    Helo,
    You can reproduce it by this way (we have 6 RHEL4 servers, problem is the same). We tried with programs written in C (mcast,Tibco), multicast perfectly works on all interfaces on all servers. But in Java:
    Server:
    [wlxapp@webex3]$ uname -a
    Linux webex3 2.6.9-34.0.1.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed May 17 17:05:24 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
    Problem - with Bea mukticast tester (or any Java class), using the nondefault webex3-priv interface(eth1):
    [wlxapp@webex3]$ java -cp wl9.jar utils.MulticastTest -N webex3_priv -I webex3_priv -A 224.1.1.11 Starting test. Hit any key to abort Using interface at 192.168.1.1 Using multicast address 224.1.1.11:7001 Will send messages under the name webex3_priv every 2 seconds Will print warning every 600 seconds if no messages are received
    I (webex3_priv) sent message num 1
    I (webex3_priv) sent message num 2
    I (webex3_priv) sent message num 3
    Did not receive any message.
    But if we use the default webex3 interface (eth0)
    [wlxapp@webex3]$ java -cp wl9.jar utils.MulticastTest -N webex3 -I webex3 -A 224.1.1.11 Starting test. Hit any key to abort Using interface at 10.4.20.4 Using multicast address 224.1.1.11:7001 Will send messages under the name webex3 every 2 seconds Will print warning every 600 seconds if no messages are received
    I (webex3) sent message num 1
    I (webex3) sent message num 2 Received message 2 from webex3
    I (webex3) sent message num 3 Received message 3 from webex3
    Works perfectly.
    TCPDUMP:Messages are out from server(other srv also see it), so we have problems probably with receiving them:
    [root@webex3]# tcpdump -i eth1
    tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on eth1, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes
    11:42:56.647362 IP webex3_priv.idmz.t-mobile.intra.afs3-callback > 224.1.1.111.afs3-callback: rx type 95 (1472)
    11:42:56.648168 IP webex3_priv.idmz.t-mobile.intra > 224.1.1.111: udp
    11:42:56.648245 IP webex3_priv.idmz.t-mobile.intra > 224.1.1.111: udp
    We examined the lsof output, the tester bind to all interfaces, so it should receive the messages:
    [wlxapp@webex3]$ /usr/sbin/lsof -p 11127
    gij 11127 wlxapp 8u IPv4 150320 UDP *:afs3-callback
    We tried the test with Java 1.4.2 and 1.5 (Jrockit and Sun), the results are the same.
    You can easily reproduce the problem with an RHEL4 server with 2 network interface.
    Our real problem that if multicast have problems, our Weblogic clusters does not works.

  • Jms is not working properly in clustered environment

    Hi all,
    i am using the application server oc4j 10.1.3.1.0 enterprise edition . my application is standalone application(thick client)
    we are using the jndi.properties as follows ...
    java.naming.factory.initial=com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
    java.naming.provider.url=opmn:ormi://172.16.1.38:6005:group/Security,opmn:ormi://172.16.1.38:6006:deceval_group/Security
    java.naming.security.principal=oc4juser
    java.naming.security.credentials=oc4juser
    oracle.j2ee.rmi.loadBalance=lookup
    we have two application servers in cluster topology as u can see above we have used one instance from one application server and one from another.
    i have seen that for every instance there one jms server. at runtime it is taking one application servers services
    say opmn port 6005 but when the application is connecting to the another application server say opmn 6006
    here jms is not working properly when i send message
    As we have clustered environment message must be propagated all the applications who use above jndi.properties.
    if i keep use only one application server opmn say
    java.naming.provider.url=opmn:ormi://172.16.1.38:6005:group/Security
    then its is working excellently
    please can u provide any solution ASAP
    thanks in advance

  • Failover is not working in clustering

    we installed infrastructure in the one system and added 2 instances app1.mycompany.com,app2.mycompany.com into it.
    for loadbalancing we r using webcache.
    we configured origin servers,site definitions,site-server mappings.
    in the cluster two instances showing up.
    that we can see in health monitor in Up/Down* parameter of web cache administrator console.
    we deployed same ear in two instances.
    but when i down one instance say app1.mycompany.com,
    In the health monitor its not showing up DOWN parameter for host: app1.mycompany.com.same for UP also.
    immediately its not showing changes when i am testing failover.
    Is webcache loadbalancing is Round robin based ?
    when i down one of the instances session replication is not happening properly.sometimes session expired is coming.
    when 2 instances r up if user access application all the requests r coming to one instance if down that instance session expired is coming.
    i think failover is not working in clustering.
    i checked replication properties and added <distributable> tag in both the instances.
    in webcache console page what will sessionbinding will do?i have not configured anything.

    Why are you using Webcache?
    Web cache will certainly work, but its more common role is to more access as a simple load balancer over HTTP servers, not OC4J instances.
    What I'd do is to simplify your situation to verify you have the server setup correctly.
    That means using the Oracle HTTP Server which will be part of your cluster as the common routing point. OHS and mod_oc4j are session state aware and know about all the OC4J instances. In the situation where an OC4J instance dies for some reason, mod_oc4j will know to which other OC4J instance(s) the request can be routed to pickup the replicated session state.
    Once you have verified that the failover is working on the backend, you can then configure another OHS instance and position webcache in front of them to act as a request router and failover handler for when the OHS instances are inactive.
    The Enterprise Deployment Guide offers some guidance in typical architectures, well worth a read.

  • RFC destination not working

    Hi,
    I have created a RFC destination in my XI system to connect to another system. But when i try Remote logon, it is not working. I have specified all the required details. Can anybody tell me what is the problem?
    Regards,
    Divija.

    Hi Divija,
    If your RFC user is not a dialog user, then you will not be able to log on to the system in the dialog mode. The remote log on will fail in the dialog mode. However, when you use an RFC call, there will not be any problems.
    Have u given the user id and client details...
    Press System Information->Target information and check if it is giving u information of ur destination system only.
    Also see if u have mentioned the host/port number correctly in SM59
    I hope u have connection type set to 3 in technical settings, SAVE AS IP address and enter IP address in the Target host.
    Load distribution should be set to NO.
    Another option go to ST05 and select RFC trace and execute the RFC and then disply the trace.
    Also go through these links...

  • "Get destination" does not work in CNV_MBT_TDMS step "Define RFC Dest."

    We just installed TDMS and I am trying to set up the RFC destinations between our systems. Since we will be using many different systems and clients and my company is very sensitive about using standard namespaces we want to try to define our own destinations and use them via the "Get destination" function.
    So I've built a destination in SM59 (I called it TDMS_EZA371_EZA371 in case this matters) and entered a user with SAP_TDMS_USER role assigned. When I try to use this destination a popup appears saying "Definition of destination MBT_Z_PR498CC_SUB_PCL is not complete. Server name is initial.". What does this mean? The server name in the destination is totally fine and a connection test in SM59 works alright. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
    Kind regards
    Mario

    The technical names for the destinations are created automatically in accordance with the following naming convention:
    MBT_<Subproject Name>_<System Role>
    In your case you may create sub-projects with the names which you wish to (TDMS_EZA371_EZA371) and then the RFC detiantion name will be MBT_TDMS_EZA371_EZA371_PCL etc..

  • How to load data to a "clustered table" quickly?  direct insert not work

    We have a single hash clustered table whose size is 45G, and we used the command:
    insert /*+ append */ into t_hashed as select * from source.
    the source is about 30G, it takes a very long time(several days, and not yet completed).
    I dumped the redo log, and find there are lots of redo info about the insert. I have thought it should create much redo as it is "direct path insert", but from the dump info I could say the direct path insert didn't take effect.

    Your assessment is correct. INSERT /*+ APPEND */ does not work with a hash clustered table.
    If you think about how hash clusters work, and how direct load insert works, it should be clear to you why a direct load insert via the append hint can never work.
    How hash clusters work (well, only the part that's relevant to the current discussion):
    Initially, at creation time, the storage for the entire cluster is preallocated, based on the various cluster parameters you chose. Think about that. All the storage is allocated to the cluster.
    How direct load works (well, only the part that's relevant to the current discussion):
    Space already allocated to and used by the segment is ignored. Space is taken from free, unformatted blocks from above the high water mark.
    So, hopefully it's clear how these features are incompatible.
    Bottom line:
    It doesn't work, there's no way around it, there's nothing you can do about it....

  • JMS destination key used for message ordering not working

    Hi there,
    i'm using Weblogic 10.3. I've been trying to implement ordering of messages using a destination key assigned to a JMS message queue. The default ordering is FIFO (it uses the JMSMessageID in ascending order for this).
    According to documentation (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/ConsoleHelp/taskhelp/jms_modules/destination_keys/ConfigureDestinationKeys.html) one can also configure the queue to behave in a LIFO manner by creating a destination which sorts on the JMSMessageID in a descending order.
    I have tried this, it does not work. I have also played with different message priority settings and tried to sort on the JMSPriority field of the messages in ascending and descending order, it changes nothing. Messages keep being processed in a FIFO manner.
    Has anyone been able accomplish message ordering other than FIFO? Am I missing something?
    Any assistance would be highly appreciated!

    Why not try
    if (_key.keyPressed(TAB)) then
    -- DO WHATEVER CONDITION
    end if
    im not sure if that is the correct way of telling the system
    to use the TAB key but this works for RETURN when the user hits the
    enter key, so if u substitute the TAB for the command to use the
    TAB key im sure it will work
    im sorry if it doesnt tho, but its worth a try if your still
