Date Customer Exit in the query is not reflecting in the workbook

Hello.
We have a BI 7.0 Query where we have a restriction for req del date and billing date to show the month of current date - 2.
We have written 2 customer exit variables and we have restricted the same. The query is working well.
For Broadcasting, we have created a workbook for this query and saved it under a role.
The workbook is fine running for the current month., But if the month changes to the next, the workbook is not reflecting the same.
Still only Old dates are available in the workbook.
Please let me know if i am doing any mistake

If the customer exit variable is of type i_step = 1, ie if it is a manual entry variable as well, then this will not get updated based on teh month of execution.

we have problem because we have created a variable time on 0CALDAY who is mapped in the cube of the stock with posting date.We launch the query for example with range 01/8/2005 31/8/2005 and the resul is OK.

I think, this approach does not work. Because customer exit will be finished before displaying the result set of 1st report. So the assignment to VAR2 from VAR1 does not execute then after.
I hope, In RSBBS,after assigning receiver, in the assignment details,select 'Variable' for 'Type' of 'infoobject' 0calday.And select '0Postingdate' for 'fieldname' and select 'selection options' for selection type.

How to select data from an aggregate in a customer exit for a query?

I have written a virtual key figure customer exit for a query. Earlier the selection was from the cube, where there was severe performance issue. So I have created an aggregate, activated and have loaded the data.
Now when I select that data I find that the Key table is different in development and production. How do I resolve this.
My code is attached below. The table in developemnt is KEY_100027 and in production is KEY_100004. This code is activated and running in BW development server.

Whats the reason that the two key fields are different.
I had transported the aggregate from development to production. Activated it and filled the data.
What is the way out? Please help.

Hi Sonu,
The main task is to move the contents of the one internal table to another with some condition.
First sort and delete the duplicate entries from the First Internal table like below :
sort it_tab by material ascending date_modified descending.
delete adjacent duplicates from it_tab.
Then move that Internal table contents to another internal table.
Define another internal table with the same structure as you have first internal table and then
Second Step :
it_itab1 = it_itab.
If you are using seperate Header line and Body then you can do like below :
       it_itab1[] = it_itab[].
This will fix the issue.

Hi Purshoth, There is a table MODATTR In which you will get all the Customer Exits where Status = 'A'.
for enhancements You can refer to table ENHHEADER table with version A and EnhName = z* or the name space which you use.

Customer Exit variable of Query not working in View

Hi,
I have a customer exit variable in my query to calculate the last 6 month period on Calendar month. I have used 0CMONTH for the same and then using offset of 6 on its value range to get it.
Now, I have many views based on this query, which should ideally be having the same filter condition for the calendar month, but it is not happening. Although, it is working fine for the query! The views do not seem to be catching the selection correct.

As far as I Know, yes they exist. The only difference here, is that you build a query with a selection screen, and you execute the query with some selection parameters, and therefore all customer exit variables, offsets, etc, will be read and changed at the runtime execution of the query, and you can rearrange your query visualization drilling down free char., making filters, etc. and storing that visualization in a view.
If you save your view and execute it afterwards, you'll get the same selection parameters to input, the same offsets, etc, that you have with the query, but with a visualization stored by you.
So that should have been working.

Bex Customer Exit: I_STEP 2,3 are not getting called up?

I need a small help in BEX variable customer exit. I am trying to give an error message on what user had entered on the selection screen. I kept several breakpoints. But I understand that this particular code is calling up only when 'I_STEP = 1'. For I_STEP 2 and 3, the follwong code is not being called? I have seen so many validations happening on user entered values with error messages.. But I am not sure where I am missing?
Here is my sample code.. can any one extend the help?
The original requirement is to 'modify' what user had entered. But I understand that SAP is not allowing to modify what user had input.. So thought of giving a small error message.. and not able to do that also.. so I am in this Forum..

No need for customer exit variable....Create a varibale for user entry/manual for the 0CALYEAR or whatever infoobject used for year in the query and restrict the infoobject with this newly created variable

I've created a BEx query and added a variable MCE9004 in field Ref.org.unit and this variable is mapped to a customer exit code via CMOD step 2 (post_popup).
Basically how I want it to work is, I will select an org.unit value e.g. org.unit = A1 in tcode RSRT variable selection screen and this value will be passed in the customer exit code as shown below and retrieve the look up values and pass it to the field ref.org.unit via e_t_range.

Once this code has been executed it goes back to the selection screen and there is still an org.unit value on the screen even though I have removed it in my code in red above in i_t_var_range.
Therefore when I execute the query, the value for org.unit field is not emptied.
Can you please teach me how to clear that value of org.unit field?

yes i get your point but the thing is i need to modify a value in the import table. coz the export table is not for the org.unit field but the ref.org.unit field.
Basically i pass in org.unit = A1 and e_t_range will have the lookup values to be passed in ref.org.unit field which is B2 and C3.
Then when i click execute, i want my filter only to have the values B2 and C3 and A1 shud be removed.
is there any way i could do that?

Customer Exit working in BEx but not in WAD

Hi All,
I am using SAP BW BI 7.0 and recently made a Customer Exit variable (single value) and wrote the appropriate code under a project in CMOD.
When the query had been run through BEx Analyzer, it is giving desired result-proving that the code was properly written but when we try to see it in web page through WAD or "Execute" button in BExQD then it is giving an error in the web page called "apps.state.raised()"
What can be the problem? Is it a problem with installtion or patch? Currently it is updated with patch 11.
Please reply ASAP.

is ZCHSTDATE of type date and what is the type of zvstdays? if both are of type date then u can directly add the date and days to get the required date.
eg:
zvstdays = zchstdate + zvuser.
u can consult this thread also: Adding days to a Date
in the customer exit u have to write a case statement like
case <field that is catching the bex vars>.
when '<ur var name>'.
result = <put ur formula>.
endcase.

Go to the CMOD and Put a Break Point where u require it and Execute.
or/and
Go to RSRT>After giving ur Query Name>Click on Execute+Debug->In the LAst Tab u have Variables>Customer Exit Before and After.
Execute it,it shud stop at that Exit for that Query.

How to write customer exit for the variable

I have a requirement to create the variable, the scenaria is like this..
I need to create the variable which gives the period/year values,if yours enters the values 05.2007 then the variable should return the first monthe the year i.e.01.2007.
I hope it can be done by writing the customer exit..but iam unware how to achieve this.

I have defined a character value variable' processed by 'customer exit'. i am troubleshooting a problem so I need to see the value of this variable. Is there a way to display this variable in the report. If so, what section, rows or columns? And how to configure?

You can add directly the variable, in BEx Analyzer 7.0 you can add variables in the Excel Cell that you would.
Steps:
- Select the Excel Cell
- In the BEx Design Toolbox, select Insert text
- When you are in Design Mode - click over the text element
- Go to Constants tab and select the Custom Exit Variable
- Save the workwook

Query Customization Not Reflecting in POWL WD ABAP

We are customizing Powl in MSS for CATS and Leave Management. Changes done in POWL_QUERY are not reflecting in POWL Application.
In MSS we have done following customization in POWL:
We are using query MSS_POWL_CATS_APPROVAL_1 for CATS approval and we are enabling search criteria through query parameters by
ticking search checkbox. We have also cleared powl cache by running POWL_D01.
2. Changes done in Powl_Query transaction are not getting reflected in Powl Application.
We have changed the Admin layout in leave approval query MSS_POWL_LEA_APPROVAL using configuration mode ( sap-config-mode
= config ) in layout variant and assigned a new layout to leave approval and cleared cache (POWL_D01 report) but still changes are not reflected in POWL.
Looking forward for your support. Any help will be highly appreciated

I have a requirement to change the text field on a custom tab of QM03 transaction. Quality notification type is Z1 and the tab is "Checklist". Both are custom defined.
The existing text field is of 3 lines. The new text message is of 8 lines. When I did the changes on the custom screen 0106 in the function group XQQM, the changes are not reflected on the QM03 transaction's custom tab. Only first 3 lines were reflecting the change and rest of the 5 lines are not appearing on the screen.

I had a similar problem, but it was with the message line. I found that with Web Forms, I had to issue the Synchronize; a second time, but in Client/Server Forms 6i, the first synchronize worked. Here is the code I used:

Query condition not reflected in VC model

Hello,
I have a query that has a condition that allows the user to view the Top N of a key figure by entering the desired "N" amount. When I run the query on its own, it works as expected. If I enter 5, I see the top 5 results.
I have put this query into VC with an input form that allows the user to designated the desired number of results, but now the results do not reflect the condition and just show all the results for that key figure. Any suggestions?
