Date field in Arabic - dropdown disappears

I have created a date field in one of the application using WD ABAP. In logon language as English the date field appears with a dropdown through which I can select a date from the calendar. However if I change the user master to select Hijra calendar the drop down option of the date field disappeared.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Karthik.

Thanks Riky. The issue is that the dropdown should bring the calendar in Hijra (Islamic calendar). However there is no drop down at all. I checked the same against the services developed using Java WD (Leave Application). Even there the instead of Hijra calendar Gregorian calendar is only displayed.
If I change the date format (T-code SU01 - Defaults) , the ECC applications are showing the Hijra calendar. However in portal I am not able to see the hijra calendar at all.
The AWD applications that work fine in Gregorian calendar, does not even show the drop down option when the format is set to Hijra.

    Problem is that table's DATE field is of type "DATS" and dropdown is of type INTEGER(or) STRING ...
    How to compare this fields?
    Can any one please give me solution for this...!

  • Dropdown date fields?

    Hi Folks, I'm new to Acrobat, and am trying to do a favour for a friend by making a fillable .pdf. I'm using Windows 7, and using Acrobat 9 Pro Extended.
    There's quite a few date fields. I'd like a dropdown for them, where the used can scroll and click on a date. This seems like a ridiculously common thing. Is it an available 'thing' on Acrobat? Where would I find it?
    It seems like a common enough requirement for forms that it would be something preset and 'plonkable'.
    With thanks,
    Sandi

    Do you mean that you want a drop down that contains all the dates between
    date X and date Y? I haven't seen such a thing before, but it can be
    scripted.
    Or do you mean that you want to use a set of drop-downs to specify the
    date, like one for the day, one for the month and one for the year? That's
    more common, but if you want to prevent the user from entering invalid
    dates it also requires some scripting.
    There's also a date picker widget that you can integrate into your form,
    like this one: http://www.formrouter.com/tools/index.html

  • How do I set blank data to date field in pdf form ?

    Dear Sir,
    I made PDF form by Acrobat X on Windows PC and then,
    read the pdf form by acrobat reader on iPad.
    Date field  is included in the form.
    The Acrobat version is 10.1.6 .
    The acrobat reader version is 10.5.0 .
    First, I put the wrong date data to the date field.
    So, I tried to clear the date field.
    I want to put the blank data to the date, but I think
    there are no way to put the blank data on iPad
    I would like to know how to reset the date data.
    If that helps, I tried to the same thing on Android.
    I could put blank data to the date field by BS key.

    Here is how to clear the Date field on the Ipad.
    NOTE: In order for this to work that has to be another TEXT field in the PDF to get the keyboard to pop-up.
    Click on Text field (this is to get the regular keyboard on screen)
    Click on Date field (date spinner control will show up)
    Click on SAME DATE field (spinner control will disapper)
    Click on "Reset Field" on top of keyboard (date field will now be empty)
    Click any where on PDF that is not another Date field (keyboard will disappear and date field will be empty)
    Bingo! your free and clear.

    Not very intuitive, but you'll need to do this so you download the runtime and not the full version.

    SAP, where do I send the bill for supporting your own product?
    I too have the same problem. Hopefully we can get a solution to this soon as the delayed release of the 2010 runtime has us in a difficult place.
    The problem: I upgraded my project to Visual Studio 2010; therefore, I upgraded to the Crystal Reports for Studio 2010 beta.
    Everything worked fine until I modified the app.config so that I could deploy the application into our test environment. We do not have Visual Studio installed in this environment, so we needed to have a Crystal Reports Runtime. According to the SAP website deployment guide, currently the only way to deploy a 2010 app is to use the 2008 runtime by modifying the app.config file to redirect the bindings.
    __Now, none of my date fields appear on the reports.__
    Just to test, in my development environment, I commented out the redirects in the app.config and the dates appeared. I uncommented the redirects so that the 2008 runtime would be used and then my dates disappeared from the report.
    Here is the entry I put into the app.config:

  • How to insert row where DB date field has default value.

    APEX 4.1, Oracle 11.2
    I'm trying to insert a row using "javascript:addRow();" where the report query is an SQL Query (Updateable Report).
    1)  Several of the fields are display-only with defaulted values.
    2)  No problem with the VARCHAR2 fields.
    3)  And if RUN_DT is a text field, the insert works.
    4)  But I get errors when trying to make RUN_DT (DD-MON-YYYY) display-only and default it to P63_RUN_DT.  I display P63_RUN_DT so I see it is correct.
    Now, this is not a new question.  See:

    Various folks recommended using Default PL/SQL and SYSDATE when SYSDATE was the desired default value.  That worked for some and not for others.  I could not get it to work for me.  The errors I receive are "•Column must have a value. (Row 1) " and "ORA-01410: invalid ROWID".   I believe the ROWID error is an example of spurious error cascade caused by the RUN_DT problem.   I believe it will disappear once the RUN_DT problem is solved.
    I will try to replicate on apex.oracle.com
    Thoughts?
    Howard

    Update: At least in my case, it seems the RUN_DT date column cannot be Standard Report Column.  I made it "Display as Text (saves state)".  Standard Report Column works for the defaulted VARCHAR2 columns.  Go figure!
    (more)  And I could not get it to work with "Item" (P63_RUN_DT) as the Default.   However, it seems to work -- so far -- using Default PL/SQL of TO_DATE(:P63_RUN_DT,'DD-MON-YYYY').

  • Using a parmater field for a Date field using the "in the period" selection

    Users would like to fetch records using the "in the period" record selection. They would like to be prompted on the period to run the report. ie
    MonthToDate
    YearToDate
    Last7Days
    Last4WeeksToSun
    LastFullWeek
    LastFullMonth
    AllDatesToToday
    etc...
    I've created a parameter with a dropdown list of values. However the parmeter field I created isn't available as a value in the date field in the "Select Record Expert" function.
    Is there a work around?

    Ron,
    Unfortunately you still have a little bit more work to do... but not much.
    You need to add a formula to your selection criteria. Something along these lines:
    IF {?DateRange} = "MonthToDate" THEN {TableName.DateField} in MonthToDate ELSE
    IF {?DateRange} = "YearToDate" THEN {TableName.DateField} in YearToDate ELSE
    IF {?DateRange} = "Last7Days" THEN {TableName.DateField} in Last7Days ELSE
    IF {?DateRange} = "Last4WeeksToSun" THEN {TableName.DateField} in Last4WeeksToSun ELSE
    IF {?DateRange} = "LastFullWeek" THEN {TableName.DateField} in LastFullWeek ELSE
    IF {?DateRange} = "LastFullMonth" THEN {TableName.DateField} in LastFullMonth ELSE
    IF {?DateRange} = "AllDatesToToday" THEN {TableName.DateField} in AllDatesToToday
    On the plus side, you'll be able to go back into your parameter and add some spaces to list options... which will look better for the end users.

    Jason

  • Missing Date fields in table maintenance generation

    I have some non-key date fields in my custom table and have noticed that they do not get generated on the overview screen of my two-step table maintenance dialog. They are present on the detail screen.
    If I change the domain of the fields to CHAR they appear.
    If I change the maintenance type to one-step they appear.
    It seems it is standard behaviour for date fields to be omitted from the overview screen.
    Can anyone confirm that this is standard behaviour or give an explanation for date fields being treated in this manner?...or come up with a way of including the fields on the header screen.
    I already know that I can:
    1. customize the screen to include the fields
    2. create a non-date domain for the fields which uses date-type calendar dropdown
    Thanks,
    Neil

    Thankyou Jonathan, I would have been too lazy to go into debug if I didn't have the form name you supplied! It wasn't the reason you suspected but it was failing the following check in that routine:
    maintenance in list screen required?
          CHECK p_tvdir-type = one_step_maint OR
           ( <w_dfies>-keyflag NE space    "force only keyfields
            OR ( 'CHARNUMC' CS <w_dfies>-datatype     "and view char-fields
             AND p_skip_fields = space )
            OR ( 'CHARNUMC' CS <w_dfies>-datatype     "and view char-fields
             AND <w_dfies>-intlen GE 20 )       "int 3263961/2000
            OR <w_dfies>-rollname = 'BEGDA'    "time dependence
            OR <w_dfies>-rollname = 'ENDDA'    "time dependence
            OR <w_dfies>-tabname NE p_gencb-viewname ). "or text table field
    Because the datatype was DATS.......looks like it will only include key fields and CHAR, NUMC non-key fields or those with a rollname of BEGDA/ENDDA or texttable fields. In debug I changed the datatype to CHAR and it generated with my field included. I think there might be an OSS note to fix this but haven't found it yet.

  • Numeric, date field data to be in English format

    My Characterset on 10g AS & 10gdb, NLS_LANG=ARABIC_KUWAIT.AR8MSWIN1256
    In my all arabic screen numerical number & date fields are in arabic. Instead all numeric & date fields should be in English. I have tried settting NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.AR8MSWIN1256 on Application Server. But no use & also by doing this just runtime application is doing flip,,ie from left to right.
    i know I can query using below
    TO_CHAR(hiredate, 'DD/MON/YYYY', 'nls_date_language = ENGLISH')
    Is there any way of doing that at database level, so that all fields of applicaton of type numeric & date are in english.
    thanks

    In reports I am getting Numeric & date format in English. But only forms all these are in arabic.

  • Variable Date Field

    Problem Background
    I've created a form for mulitple users to fill out on a regular basis.
    Some of the date fields are set to automatically tabulate the current date, while others are set to present the user with a dropdown menu.
    The automatic date feature saves a lot of time for the vast majority of circumstances, but I've had several requests for the field to offer the additional option of displaying "TBD" or "See below for explanation".
    Question
    Is it possible to concurrently offer automatic date formatting and a custom field option in the same field?
    Thank you for your thoughts!

    Hi Gerben,
       I tried this and it yielded unacceptable(expected) results. Here is why i think this is the case.
    =Time.expression(Time.nextTimeWindowOpening(Time.now('America/Regina'), 'System_Week_WorkDays'), 'add 7 days') suppose to only be open m-f
    Time.now() should evaluate to today lets say 02/21/11
    then Time.nextTimeWindowOpening should return the next open day, after but including today, it checks and finds today is open so = 02/21/11
    and the time expression will add n= 7 days to that. 02/21/11 + 7 = 02/28/11 this is wrong.
    According to this calendar it should be 03/01/11
    Problem is that the add function is just adding n days indiscriminate of the calendar as the calendar is not part of the addition argument.

  • Reg:how disaplay selection range for date field

    hi all
    can you please  let me know how to write  the code in wdabap  to display a date field with range option.i mean in abap we use at selection screen  ,but coming to wdabap can you  help how to write the code in wdabap.
    Thanks in advance
    Deepika

    To simplify the requirement, let me consider the followign understanding:
    1. You need few fields in the selection screen. They need to be select options and some parameter fields.
    2. The user clicks the button. You need to read teh user entered data.
    Once, you have teh data in your code, assign it to the context node - attributes. later, you need to decide what you shoudl do with that data.
    Sol: 1. To obtain fields into selection screen, use the component "wdr_select_options" and *** the interface view into your window. Make the view as default.
    Now,  you need to build the select options. Firstly create a method or insert the code in init().
    DATA: lr_componentcontroller TYPE REF TO ig_componentcontroller,
            l_ref_cmp_usage TYPE REF TO if_wd_component_usage.
    create the used component
      l_ref_cmp_usage = wd_this->wd_cpuse_select_options( ).
      IF l_ref_cmp_usage->has_active_component( ) IS INITIAL.
        l_ref_cmp_usage->create_component( ).
      ENDIF.
      wd_this->m_wd_select_options = wd_this->wd_cpifc_select_options( ).
    init the select screen
      wd_this->m_handler = wd_this->m_wd_select_options->init_selection_screen( ).
      wd_this->m_handler->set_global_options(
                                  i_display_btn_cancel  = abap_false
                                  i_display_btn_check   = abap_false
                                  i_display_btn_reset   = abap_true
                                  i_display_btn_execute = abap_false ).
    Adding a block (type Tray) to the select-options
      wd_this->m_handler->add_block(
        i_id         = `BSC01`
        i_block_type = if_wd_select_options=>mc_block_type_tray
        i_title      = `Selection Screen` ).
    Adding a parameter field to the created block
    Create a reference to the type of customer number KUNNR
      CREATE DATA lr_field TYPE kunnr.
    Sets the airline code initial value
      ASSIGN lr_field->* TO <fs_field>.
    Add the parameter to the group
      wd_this->m_handler->add_parameter_field(
        i_id           = `KUNNR`
        i_within_block = `BSC01`
        i_obligatory   = abap_true
        i_value        = lr_field ).
    FREE lr_field.
    Adding a select-options field to the created block
    Create a reference to the material number range table
      lr_field = wd_this->m_handler->create_range_table( `MATNR` ).
    Add the select-option to the group
      wd_this->m_handler->add_selection_field(
        i_id           = `MATNR`
        i_within_block = `BSC01`
        it_result      = lr_field ).
      FREE lr_field.
    The code with method "set_global_options" is used to make the buttons visible or disappear.
    Its convinient to create your own button with an action instead or subscribing to the action of exceute button.
    Sol. 2: Read the data.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS:
        <fs_sel_item> LIKE LINE OF lt_sel_item,
        <fs_kunnr>   TYPE kunnr,
        <fs_matnr>   TYPE ranges_matnr.
        wd_this->m_handler->get_value_of_parameter_field(
          EXPORTING i_id = 'KUNNR'
          RECEIVING r_value = p_kunnr ).
    Get the selection-screen items
          wd_this->m_handler->get_selection_fields(
            IMPORTING et_fields = lt_sel_item ).
    Retrieve the values from the select-options items
          LOOP AT lt_sel_item ASSIGNING <fs_sel_item>.
            CASE <fs_sel_item>-m_id.
              WHEN `MATNR`.
                ASSIGN <fs_sel_item>-mt_range_table->* TO <fs_matnr>.
             WHEN < Other sel-option'
           ENDCASE.
         ENDLOOP.
    Obtain a reference to your context node and assign the field symbols to the attributes.
    Finally, you would have the data in your nodes. Now, you need to handle the coe as per your req.

  • Restricting date selection of the calender date field

    Right now we have a web app where you choose the starting date of a work week. We're using the calender date field to get that date. However, our client wants to restrict that to just the Mondays of the month. Is it possible to do this?

    Hi Nagy,
    The way I would approach this is by implementing that kind of calendar picker myself, from some jQuery plugin or maybe a couple of simple dropdowns, and then use javascript to populate the current date field which would be hidden. You just have to make sure that the date format looks like this:
    03-Oct-2012

    Actually i need to build report where in rows there will be some char
    like source plant and destination plant and in rows on the basis of source and destination the cummulated value of amount base on some other few restriction
    now my question is :-
    acc to my need I need to make genric extractor but one is already there which contains all my fields. now can i use the same extractor,but the worry is ;these all feilds are first going in dso and all are there in data fields coloumn
    What I'm thinking is; it will suppress or accumulte records on the basis of key field's(as usual).
    so can you pls let me know what to do in this scenario?
