  • Problem in the table maintainance generator of View J_3RFV_F4VERS

    Hi All,
I have a problem with View J_3RFV_F4VERS (SAP standard table for Russia).
Currently i am not able to change the entries in this View through SM30. Currently in the Table maintainance generator of this view "Standard recording Routine" is selected as Recording Routine.
But when i change this to "no, or user, recording Routine", i am able to change the entries of this view through SM30.
I would like to know the impact of selecting the alternative Recording Routine. Will it have any adverse impact?
Please throw some light on this issue.

Use Events in Table Maintainence Generator.
    Environment-->Modification --> Events
U can write a subroutine which can be called to increment the numbers .

You can simply press F1 on the radiobuttins in the table maintanence of a table.
    It is all explained there.
Basically it normally follows the mandant settings, so if the setting in your mandant is, no changes allowed, then you can't change it.
The normal route for updating this table is to change it in your DEV system transport and test it in QA and finally transport it to PRD.

  • Transporting table and table maintainance generator

    Hi,
Can i transport the table and table maintainace generator and function group of the table with in single request or not.
One more thing is when i transport the table maintainance generator, will the entries also be transport to another system or not.
    Thanks in advance,
    Suresh

    Hi Suresh,
Go to SE54-> Utilities-> Total Transport. The following things are transported.
The total transport transports the complete maintenance dialog:
    authorization group
    authorization group assignment
    control entry
    events
    function groups
    maintenance objects
    variants
Content wont be transported it seems.

There are some steps you need to follow.
    1) table should be table maintainence allowed then only you can create Transaction for that u can maintain table maintainence.
    2) Go to Transaction se93.
    3) Give the transaction name and provide the short text.
    4) Select the Radio button as Transaction with parameters (parameter Transaction).
    5) Then fill with transaction with SM30.
    6) Check the Skip initial screen.

  • Converting varchar to datetime where date field is missing

    Hello Sir,
i have a column with varchar datatype values like '2013/12','2012/11' where date field is missing.  i want to convert it as datetime at runtime so that i can use datetime related function. Is it possible for ms sql server 2008?
    thanking you.

    >> I have a column with VARCHAR data type values like '2013/12', '2012/11' where DATE field is missing. I want to convert it as DATETIME2(0) at runtime so that I can use DATETIME2(0) related function. Is it possible for MS SQL Server 2008? <<
The most important leg on a three-legged stool is the leg that is missing :)  A DATE is made up of three fields; YEAR, MONTH and DAY. You gave no business rule for picking the DAY field, so this makes no sense.
Since SQL is a database language, we prefer to do look ups and not calculations. They can be optimized while temporal math messes up optimization. A useful idiom is a report period calendar that everyone uses so there is no way to get disagreements in the DML.
The report period table gives a name to a range of dates that is common to the entire enterprise.
    CREATE TABLE Something_Report_Periods
(something_report_name CHAR(10) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY
      CHECK (something_report_name LIKE <pattern>),
     something_report_start_date DATE NOT NULL,
     something_report_end_date DATE NOT NULL,
     CONSTRAINT date_ordering
      CHECK (something_report_start_date <= something_report_end_date),
    etc);
These report periods can overlap or have gaps. I like the MySQL convention of using double zeroes for months and years, That is 'yyyy-mm-00' for a month within a year and 'yyyy-00-00' for the whole year. The advantages are that it will sort with the ISO-8601
data format required by Standard SQL and it is language independent. The pattern for validation is '[12][0-9][0-9][0-9]-00-00' and '[12][0-9][0-9][0-9]-[01][0-9]-00' in the CHECK constraints.

  • No data fields are available in the OLAP cube

i was able to access data in Excel yesterday, but now all the cubes that i have created cannot be accessed by Excel any more and after authenticating and selecting the cell for the pivot table i get this error:

i just hope this is some process in HANA that needs restarting and not some endemic MDX problem. if so, where do i look?
    has anyone seen this?
BTW, shouldn't there be a single log on for the connection? i have to enter credentials twice: 1 when creating the connection and 2 when opening the pivot table.

something/someone has locked my userid when i was recreating the steps in Excel (i don't think i have tried 'wrong' passwords, but i did try a ['wrong' user|http://misiorek.com/h/GMSnap206%202011-11-27.jpg]

  • Failed to read data from report file Reason: The table could not be found.

Failed to read data from report file Reason: The table could not be found.
Any ideas to get around this would really help out.
    Regards

Connection used Views, ODBC System DSN is setup properly.
Approach for import from business view manager and import wizard.  both methods failed to import the Business View and underlying reports.
I figure I may have imported the Business View wrong? From Business View Manager I exported from my dev server then imported to prod server.
Apparently I learned exporting my business view also includes the Data Connections that the Business Views are dependent upon.
So which ever folder you specify it copies it there. Originally the all Data Connections Resides on the root folder. To return it to the original location. I deleted what I had exported. Exported this time to the root folder, then only deleted the business views, foundation, elements. Then exported again to the folder where I intended then only deleted the Data Connection.
Makes any sense? So I then had to re point the business views and all the dependent objects to the data connection that resides in the root folder.
I tested the connection, it works fine. I properly updated my crystal reports to the business view in production. Did a sample extract it works as expected.
However when i try to publish, either from Crystal or Publish wizard i get the same error?
As a work around i am thinking, after updating the business view in the crystal reports, shall i re map the fields?? or reexport the business views again?
Any help will be surely appreciated.

  • Include a field in the table maintenance generator

    Hi All,
There is a Z table with MATNR and another numeric field and the table maintenance generator exists for the table. The requirement is to include another field for MAKTX ( Material description) in the table maintenance generator with input disabled. Is it possible to do the same in the table maintenance generator else please suggest me the best solution.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Srinivasa,
This is quite simple, first add the field MAKTX into the Table and activate it .
Now again generate the Table maintainence for the table.
from Table maintainence generator go to the main program
there click the screen maintained for Table maintainence generator .
in the Pbo of the screen write the following code.
    assume table name is table1.
    Loop at screen.
    if screen-name = table1-maktx.
    screen-input = '0'.
    modify screen.
    endif.
    endloop.
this will automatically disable the material description field in the Table Maintainence Generator.
This is will solve your problem

Hi, I'm new to this forum so please put this thread in the right place if I have made a mistake.
    But here's my problem:
I'm using jre 7 with the latest version.
I downloaded and wanted to launch a Java based .jar game, which runs perfectly for the other users but my JRE gives the following error:
Application error - unable to launch the application.
MissingFieldException[ The following required field is missing from the launch file: <jnlp>]

On the forum where is the game developed i got the following answer:
''+it seems your OS/jre installation tries to start the jar as an applet which fails, because it's a regular application and not an applet. is there any way you can convince your jre to start LS as an application? i would like to give better/more detailed advice, but i'm not running windows, so i can't check for myself/try to work out a step-by-step guide.+ ''
As I have browsed the internet for hours and haven't come up with a solution I'm asking for some help.

That error seems to indicate that the JNLP file is broken because it is missing the starting starting <jnlp> XML tag; I'll take a guess and just say that it is completely empty. Since it works for other users, apparently somehow when you download it on your computer you end up with a broken file. No idea why, no way for me to know why either. I don't have access to your computer. All I can say is: try in another browser and if that doesn't work, try on another computer. If it works there, well then you may have to face the fact that your computer might need a clean install.
And PS: this is a Java programming forum, not technical support for whatever game you want to play that just happens to use Java.
