I checked in SU01D the format is dd.mm.yyyy and this is the format i want the date to be displayed in the report.

  • Search managed property date format dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy

All regional settings in the site collections and the search site have been set to English(Australia), and the date format is correct within them however when I try to perform a search on a managed date property date:dd/mm/yyyy I do not get the expected
results. I only get the correct results when searching date:mm/dd/yyyy.
I found some articles regarding SP2010 and this issue, the correct answer was a link to a TechNet article with information about how to modify the XSLT in the results web part in the search centre. I could not find the XSLT in the results web part properties
in SP2013 so I don't know if this information is redundant or if there is an easier way.
It really seems like such a simple and common request so I can only imagine that its too obvious to blog about considering the time I've put into google on this one, and am I'm missing something here?
    Thanks,

    Hi karlostavitch,
This issue seems to be caused by Query Language. Query Language is not the language of the Browser interface, but the language submitted to web sites. By default, the property of search results is null, the locale will be inferred from the browser language.
You can change query language by exporting the Search web part, then adding query language property to the file.

  • Date Format dd-mm-yy is wrong for Canada, should be yyyy-mm-dd

The official standard in Canada for dates is yyyy-mm-dd as in ISO 8601 and CSA Z234.5:1989, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO8601usage, other wise we get confusion between the US mm-dd and UK dd-mm formats both often seen in Canada. The Federal Government and Province of Ontario both use ISO 8601, just look at your Drivers License.
Unfortunately there seems to be no means of correcting this in System Preferences/International/Format when you select Canada and programs such as Firefox then pick up the incorrect mm-dd-yy format and use and print it in the footer.
Could Apple either change the default Canadian Format to the correct YYYY-MM-DD or at least allow users to make this correction themselves?

I use Y/M/D all the time. It's not a Canadian format, it's an international format. The US military has always used it, and many people here have used it for years and prefer it. I believe most of Europe also uses it.
I find no problem setting it up that way, using the international preferences. There is nothing for Apple to change or fix.
If FireFox does something else, then your issue is with FireFox, not Apple.

  • Date format requirement

    Hi,
    9i environment.
I am trying to format a date to return from a query in this format: YYYYMMDDHHmmSS.ssss+/-ZZZZ
Right now I formated my query to look like this:
    TO_CHAR( a.FINALIZED_DATE , 'yyyyMMddHHmiss' ) || '-0500' AS finalized_date
I need the ability to add the '-0500' on the fly depending on standard vs daylight savings.
My first attempt to resolve I attempted to use something like
    select SESSIONTIMEZONE from dual;
with the formatting it looked like:
    select substr(SESSIONTIMEZONE,0,3)||substr(SESSIONTIMEZONE,5,2) from dual;
This query return +0000 . It should return -0500 (and -0400 when not in daylight) for my time zone.
Further research pointed me to doing this:
    ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE = '-5:00';
What does this actually do in terms of referencing date/times in the fields? Will this have an adverse effect on my data since I been collecting data in its current form for so long?
    Is there more elegant solution?
    Thank you.

  • WCS showing mm/dd/yyyy date format in UK

WCS is showing dates in mm/dd/yyyy format despite being in the UK where it should be dd/mm/yyyy.
    - Reports show it.
    - When a Lobby Ambassador tries to add or schedule a guest user on WCS the date in the 'Start Time' and 'End Time' fields is shown in mm/dd/yyyy format (and is confusing for reception/admin staff who need to use it).
WCS is installed on a Windows 2003 server with latest updates and patches and all regional/international options are set to UK.
Is this something that can be changed from WCS settings or something that needs diving into Apache to fix ?
    Regards,
    Jen.

    Hi Jeniffer,
Basically the WCS uses U.S date format all over the
application.. the time in WCS is synchronized with the
server however the way we have designed and programmed WCS for date format
is in U.S fashion which is mm/dd/yyyy. This is the behaviour that WCS
has since day one and this date format cannot be customized.

  • Date format in Bex Output should be changed while using with Text Variable

I am using a Bex Query where have defined a Text Variable with replacement path. So whatever Date user enters in the selection screen variable (Input Variable) the same date appears in the report description.
For Ex: If user enters 30.04.2012 in Char Variable/Input Variable before executing the report, so once he executes the report the same date appears on report description like "ABC Analysis as on 20120430". Is also changes the report description whenever user changes the date in selection screen variable.
My requirement is......Date format should be come as 30.04.2012 (DD.MM.YYYY) instead of 20120430 (YYYYMMDD) in report description.
Guys could you please help me out to achieve the desired output.
    Rgds,
    Ritu

Please check if you have selected Replace with Key in that text variable.
Instead of that select External characteristic value key.
This should help you in giving the desired output.

  • Date format in BW report

    Hi All,
When i execute a query in BW 3.5, the date format is displayed as dd.mm.yyyy instead of dd/mm/yyyy.
for some values it is coming in dd/mm/yyyy and for some values it is displaying as dd.mm.yyyy in the same query.

This is determined by your personal configuration setting for date format. On the SAP GUI Easy Access menus at the top of the screen, go to System --> User Profile --> Own Data, then choose the Defaults tab and change the setting for Date Format to "DD/MM/YYYY".
There is probably a "global" setting for this in the IMG, as well.
    Hope this helps...

  • Date format in XML Forms

    Hi all,
I already have done my article using XML FORMS. I added into the article the date field that I needed. So, I would like to format the date output in Render List as “dd/mm/yyyy” instead of “mm/dd/yyyy”. It’s possible? Anyone knows how to do it?
    Thanks in advanced,
    Alcides Flach

    Hi,
By adding in the Additional Metadata parameter the  entry "customFormat=dd.MM.yy", you'll force the display of this property to this format. Look at SAP note 816761 for more info about this.

  • Date format when running in Mexico vs US

When using RS 2005.   I have a report that I developed in the US and runs on a server in the US.   I can create a subscription with no problems.
When our region in Mexico trys to create a subscription it gives an error on the date selections  because it want to do dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy.
Is there a way around this problem.

The solution will require custom code since SSRS does not support localization. CodeProject has a couple of solutions:

  • Sqlldr date format

    Dear experts,
I'm trying to load txt file into table via sqlldr. I'm receiving error "Rejected - Error on table TEST_TABLE, column PERIOD_START_TIME. ORA-01843: not a valid month
The date format in flat txt file is MM:DD:YYYY; in the output table I want to have is DD.MM.YYYY
It looks that sqlldr wrongly interprets input date format - when the input is 07-08-2012 then the output is 07.08.2012 so it assumes that the input is in format MM-DD-YYYY instead of DD-MM-YYYY. And when the day is higher than 12 (13,14 etc) then an error appears
Do you know where/how to force SQLLDR to interpret it correcly? Is it somehow related to NLS_Lang. settings?

If you want a DATE column displayed in a particular format, then use TO_CHAR in the query that produces the display, or change NLS_DATE_FORMAT to set the default date format in your session. For example:

    SELECT ename

  • Date formatting issue when sending excel file via mail

    hello People ,
I am facing date issue .
I have inetrnal format of date as yyyymmdd.
I am converting it into  YYYY-MM-DD.
    CONCATENATE gs_output-end_date(4)
                        gs_output-end_date+4(2)
                        gs_output-end_date+6(2)
                        INTO lv_date_to SEPARATED BY gc_seperator. " gc_separator = '-'.
            gs_output-end_date = lv_date_to.
I am writing this date and sending an excel file via MAIL . I get date result as MM/DD/YYYY always.
Now if i pass in YYYY.MM.DD and used the same code where gc_separtor = '.'.
    I get output as YYYY.MM.DD.
Can any one give me an idea why in format YYYY-MM-DD it is getting overwritten but for yyyy.mm.dd it gives me as yyyy.mm.dd?

    Thanks , Rohit ,
I have change my date format in SU01 settings .
It is now made to [ YYYY-MM-DD] but still '-' is replaced by MM/DD/YYYY.
Also note that when i format in the following way
       CONCATENATE gs_output-rdadate(4)
                        gs_output-rdadate+4(2)
                        gs_output-rdadate+6(2)
                        INTO lv_rda_date.
    instead of
       CONCATENATE gs_output-rdadate(4)
                        gs_output-rdadate+4(2)
                        gs_output-rdadate+6(2)
                        INTO lv_rda_date sepearted by '-'.
    I get output as YYYYMMDD.

  • Changing date format in locale

    Hi Experts,
Date, currency format and so on depends on locale. If locale changes formats change as well.
But is possible to change these formats in locale itself (change, for example, short date format in locale en_US to dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy)?
    Best Regards
    Price Young

    Hi Price
The date format is user dependent. It may vary from user to user depending upon the settings applied at the time of user creation. This can however be changed from transaction SU01 ( defaults tab).
Also please check the following link:

  • Date format is changing in presentation variable

    Hello,
I have a problem with date stored in presentation variable.
I have simple prompt with calendar field (default date value is setted from repository or session variable to current date). Selected date is stored in PP_DATE presentation variable.
I have simple report with title to show the content of variable PP_DATE.
    And now the problem.
When I navigate to dashboard page with this report I will get date from PP_DATE variable in some format (there is difference when I use repository or session variable). After I will push the start button I will get another date format from PP_DATE variable.
Screenshots are stored and described in this PDF: [PDF with screenshots|https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B2LOPOBteIShMDRmYTJlYTItNmYyZC00ODdkLWE5NjktNzI1N2RlNWMwZjBk]
There is difference between session and repository variable. When I use repository variable I will get 'TIMESTAMP .......' from PP_DATE variable, which is the default initializer in repository variable manager. I tried to delete default initializer, but I is automatically added after saving changes.
When is the default value of prompt setted from session variable I will get another format of date from PP_DATE variable which refers to DATE_TIME_DISPLAY_FORMAT = "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mi:ss.mss" (from NQSConfig.ini). I have changed DATE_TIME_DISPLAY_FORMAT from standard value "yyyy/mm/dd hh:mi:ss" to "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mi:ss.mss" because I am reading some data from excel, where are dates stored in MSSQL format. But this is not the reason of my problem. I have the same problem also with standard DATE_TIME_DISPLAY_FORMAT.
The result of this strange behaviour is that I am getting errors when I am doing some calculations (for example TimeStampDiff) with PP_DATE variable. I am getting error when I am navigating to dashboard page. Everything is ok after I will push the start button.
    Do you have some tips?
    Thank you

    Hey,
you are talking about so many pieces here seems..
first letz break down your issues list..
    1. error, this is because of default date(using repository variable) used in prompt..
    2. using presentation variables in timetampdiff functions..
    3. showing variable in title list..
    we'll go through each issue..
because, its' messed up..I think that everywhere is the same problem. So solving issue number 1 will solve my other problems.
"1. error, this is because of default date(using repository variable) used in prompt.. "
I want to use date prompt with default date value (from repository or session variable) and then use pp_date presentation variable from this prompt to filter my results.
I would like to use repos. or session variables, I dont want to write some select to fill default date value in each prompt.
I tried to change one date in initialization block from "trunc(sysdate, 'DD')" to "to_char(sysdate, 'YYYY-MM-DD')" because it is the same format as DATE_DISPLAY_FORMAT = "yyyy-mm-dd" in NQSConfig.ini
And now it seems to be working now.
I can use repository var. as default date value in my prompt and use date variable pp_date to filter my results. Report return result after navigation on it and after pushing Go button.
Can you confirm me that date format in initialization block must be the same as DATE_DISPLAY_FORMAT = "yyyy-mm-dd" in NQSConfig.ini?

  • BI Publisher Date Format

    Hi,

    I have tried using trim(to_date(w.date_added, 'YYYY-MM-DD')) = '19-MAY-2010'

    Hi,
If I run the query in the database using date format 'DD-MON-YYYY', I do get results. The problem lies within BI Publisher query, I have tried using java date format:
    trim(to_date(w.date_added, 'MM-dd-yyyy')) = '05-19-2010'
This also returns no results, the actual date format in the table appears as '19-MAY-2010'
