Date format under filter criteria is not right in ALV Grid

When a date is chosen from the available dropdown values, the value transferred gets extraneous characters and filter does not work.

Your definition is wrong because you don't indicate the TYPE of your field, so if you want to do by yourself:

ls_fieldcat-ref_tabname = 'IT_FINAL'.

1) for filtering, we create an internak table of type LVC_T_FILT,
U can assign fields to the above created internal as per u requirements.
2) passing the above internal table to CHANGING parameter of method SET_TABLE FORFIRST_DISPLAY in ALV GRID.
IT_FILTER = < internal table TYPE LVC_T_FLIT>.
OR call this method for setting filter criteria as per u r requirement.
Set current filter settings. A row of the table describes the selection conditions for column entries that are not to be displayed.
You should never manually set up the internal table with the filter settings. Use this method only to set filter criteria that you got using get_filter_criteria or a layout.

i have assigned the srch help (prem) to my 'ZFIEXP_PROJALLOC' table for the emp_id.
but in output it is now showing the help.

In the layout give layout-sel_mode = 'A'. and
pass 'A' to i_save exporting parameter to method set_table_for_first_display.
The same thing if you are working with function module
reuse_alv_grid_display.

How can I change the date format in Reminders and in Notes?

How can I change the date format in both Notes and Reminders? Preference on Imac and Settings in IOS do not allow me to change the format in those 2 apps.
I Like to see 10oct rather than 10/10, as an example.

I do not have Mavericks or iOS - but the first thing I would do is reset the defaults - I'll use Mavericks as an example

    Click the Dates tab.

Here's the result AppleScript i use to grab the " 'Short Date' ' + ' 'Short Time' " to paste into download filenames - works good until I try to post it here - the colon " : " is a no-no but is fine in the Finder
Looks like iOS Settings are a bit less robust

Filter Criteria will not save in SharePoint Designer

I have a web page that contains form webpart (for entering search keywords) and a dataview with successful configuration to sql database table.
In SPD > dataview > Common Tasks:
I have created parameter with control type and texbox control ID. Then setup the web part connection to link both web parts.
In the final step I then try to set the filter criteria and choosing columns with available option of parameter name and click ok. The filter values disappear.

Hey, I dont suppose anyone's found a solution to this yet? I've succesfully done this on a few different Site Collections, but for some reason it's not working on my latest one. As above, after setting the Filter Criteria and saving the page in SPD2010,
the filter criteria just dissappears. Random!

Filter Functionality is not working in ALV

Hi,
I have a ALV Report which contains a column named Delivery Status. The Delivery Status could be of 3 types->Not Delivered, Open and Fully Delivered.
But the report is not getting filtered with respect to a certain delvery status.
For example if I select the " Delivery Status" column and choose set filter and put "Open" as filter criteria, it returns me null value where as the report contains records having "Open" status.
Please provide some solution.

Filter Not working in ALV grid

Hi All,
The filter button in ALV Grid is not working for some fields. if the filter button is selected for a particular field in the ALV grid then no entries are getting displayed in the ALV. For few fields it is working. for few fields is it not displaying any entries after selecting filter.
Please let me know what may be the possible causes for this issue.

Ex: your output is something like this
A                     B                         C
1                    2                             3
4                    2                              5
5                    3                              6
When you filter B for value 2, then internally it creates one more internal table like this
A                    B                         C
1                002                         3
4                002                         5
5                003                         6
it tries to matches value 2 to 002 and it fails to retrive the record.
The solution is try to do the conversion exit on the column/field you are trying to filter it. It will work.

Colwidth_optimize not working for alv grid report

 I have developed an ALV grid report using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'. The field catalog field columns are having the heading size more than 30 characters. So, to optimize the size of the headings, I am using SLIS_LAYOUT_ALV and passing the value 'X' to colwidth_optimize.
but still the column heading is not getting fully display. Rather it is display first 20 characters only.
For your reference please find the code snippet

F4 help not reflecting in ALV Grid for fixed values specified in domain

   As per subject i have a field for which i have assigned 5 fixed values in the domain level (of that field) . The problem is when i am displaying my ALV grid output i need a F4 help and F4 Option for the same is not reflecting and i have assigned in the field catlog as shown bellow.

Hello Experts,
I have searched SCN before posting this thread.
In my report output (by using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'), i am trying to filter values which is of type CHAR.
Unable to filter by char30 field in the report output.
Tried to filter using the following steps:
Selected the column which i want to filter-> then selected filter symbol of ALV toolbar.
Selection screen appeared where select-option of that field displayed.
Selection screen only allows user to enter 1 character.
Even though the field contains 30 characters the filed in selection screen appeared with 1char length.
This is the same for all the fields in that ALV. Please suggest how can i change the field length to original field length.

In field catalog pass:
wa_alv_fieldcat-outputlen = p_len
Set p_len as 30.
'FIELD' text-001 '01' 'X' '30' 'L'

Action for ENTER KEY is not working in alv grid output (Classical)

Hi Experts,
I have searched SDN around 8 hours and could not get any help on my below issue.
I am developing ALV report using function module (Classical ALV). ALV output has 4 input enable fields, if user enters data in any of those fields and clicks on enter button from key pad..the remaining fields needs to be filled automatically.
I am facing the issue with enter key, even if i press enter key in the output there is no action and hence no user command triggered. May be i am using wrong funcion code in wrong way.
Could any one tell me what function code can we assign for ENTER action in PF-STATUS?

(IN THAT CASE, it is NOT Case Sensitive)

Presentation variable data format

Hi All,
We are using date as presentation variable and using that presentation variable in reports column formula's, but in prompt date format is showing MM-DD-YYYY, but in report it is taking as YYYY-MM-DD because of this data format difference it is giving error on dashboard but working fine in report results. If we change the format of date as char and giving user input filter it is working fine but users want the prompt value as it is. So how can we change presentation variable format in column edit formula?

Try to look into that prompt column to see why you are getting different date format.
If it is not correct as per you application then I would suggest to correct it using column->Data Format and then Save.
I would suggest to convert the filter to SQL format to handle it, you may get it after Filter... button add date and then use Advanced button. using SQL you have options to do it.

What is Print Date?!! Is that available column in Subject Area? If you dont know why its like that investigate.

How to Change Date Format according to the Locale/Country of Portal User

Hi,
In a webdynpro applicaiton, how to chage the Date Format according to the Locale/Country of Portal User.
Consider for INDIA: mm/dd/yyyy
Consider for UK: yyyy/mm/dd
So when i select the date from the Date Picker[input ui element bound to date context variable], the date format should be displayed accroding the portal users country/locale.
Creating a simple type for every date format in the dictionary would not be the right solution.

String to DATS format conversion in XI.

Hello Experts,
I am using Powerbuilder system to get my Legacy data.In Powerbuilder Date needs to be supplied in STRING format.So I am giving String Format (dd-mmm-yyyy).
However, at SAP end, Date needs to be in DATS format (Standard SAP yyyymmdd) .
In Message Mapping I have given I/P structure as String and O/P structure as DATS format. When I test mapping in XI, it gives me Parseable error.
Can anybody tell me, is there any way in XI to convert from String to DATS format so that I do not get Parseable error.

With XI there is a date transformation function under date category there you need to provide source date format and target date format..
I have used the same for fetching the data from oracle..and posting into SAP..it works fine..
Try this ..this will solve ur problem....you just need to see what is the exact date format used by powerbuilder internally...
