Date is returned with wrong century

Hi,
I'm building an SSIS package to migrate data from an Oracle 11g DB to SQL Server. I'm running into a weird issue when it comes to dates, funny enough...
I've got a date column which contains '67-06-08 00:00:00.0' and is returned as '08-06-67' using SQL Plus. A to_char(datecol, 'DD/MM/YYYY') returns '08-06-1967', as it should. When I execute the exact same query in Visual Studio, I get '08/06/0067' and will fail to insert into a SQL Server database. My first thought was to update the value in Oracle with the complete century, to no avail. Next idea was it might be the drivers so I tried the same over an ODBC connection, with the same result.
I have other dates in that column that until that record, processed fine. When comparing the output of a succeeded record and the bad one in Oracle Enterprise Manager I get this:
67-06-08 00:00:00.0
1981-05-02 00:00:00.0
What could be the problem? Is it just some sort of setting on the DB?

The query is executed by SQL Server Integration Services, so no need for me to write any code. The query was a basic
SELECT CAN_ID, to_char(CAN_BIRTHDAY, 'DD/MM/YYYY') FROM SYSTEM.CANDIDATESI did get it fixed by using
SELECT CAN_ID, TO_DATE(CAN_BIRTHDAY, 'DD/MM/RRRR') FROM SYSTEM.CANDIDATESwhich would return the correct century.

  • How to reverse A/P return with wrong price update

    Hi all expert,
    Case as below:
    1.  Key in GRPO 1959 u2013 received stock from supplier 20ctn, unit price 130/ctn.
        Journal entry created as below:
        Dr finish goods RM 2600, Cr Goods received not invoiced RM 2600.
    2. After that issue A/P return to return the stock for the GRN PO 1959. The customer
        Key in Goods Return 112 u2013 return 20ctn, unit price RM125/ctn.
        Thus double entry created
        Dr finish goods RM 2500, Cr Goods Received not Invoiced RM 2500.
        The correct price was RM 130/ctn. But user had key in the price wrongly in the A/P return.
        How to i reverse & change Goods Return to RM 2600, how to do this?
        My current solution is copy A/P return to A/P credit memo, then issue A/P Invoice with similar
        amount to offset the wrong credit memo? But there is too many step. Any better idea?

  • Tax error - audit data - table ETXDCJ with wrong data

    Hi,
       I am working on audit_data file that external tax system receives from SAP. table entries in 'ETXDCJ' are fed to audit_data file which are wrong. Please let me know how this table gets the entries. Any transaction or steps that I need to know to replicate the issue. We have this wrong tax data issue only for certain sales document type not for all. Please let me know.
    Thanking you
    Ram.

    External tax calculation is a setting that you have to enable in configuration. Every document has a tax procedure and pricing procedure assigned to it. So when you create a sales order, based on these two your prices and taxes are calculated. I am not how it works, but I think the external tax calculating software will calculate and send tax documents back to SAP. These are the ones that get stored in the table ETXDCJ,ETXDCH and ETXDCI. This update function module seems to be inserting it EXTERNAL_TAX_DOC_INSERT_DB.
    What is it that you are calling error? Are calculations wrong, or is it something else? Are you sure it is document type not cutomer or state that is influencing this? Look in config for the external tax calculation under 'Financial Accoutning Global Settings' as follows:
    Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing (IMG)
    -->Financial Accounting
       -->Financial Accounting Global Settings
          -->Tax on Sales/Purchases
             -->External Tax Calculation
    I am wondering if your issue is with the tax jurisdictions and your condition table entries. If you are sure that it is always with a particular document type, compare the document type settings with another one that is working.
    If this helps, please don't forget to reward.

  • IPhoto imports photos with wrong dates even if the dates are fine on the camera

    Hi!
    When I import photos with iPhoto, sometimes it imports them with wrong dates, even the dates are fine on the camera. It puts dates such as 2032. Does anyone know how can I fix that. As far as I know there is no way to change dates of the photos.
    Thanks!

    well that is very confusing since if the date is correct on the camera it will be correct in iPhoto

    Try looking through your iPhto menus - two commands - adjust time and date and batch change time and date - asjust is used to correct incorrect dates like a comera setting -   Batch change for missing dates like with scans

    The long backups seem to be related to the size of the apps you installed, not the number. That's why some people with multiple pages of apps experience fast backups. There does seem to be a bug with the current firmware that can cause a crash when doing app uploads and syncs. This bug seems to be exacerbated by having large and many apps.
    I was experiencing frequent crashes, but have no more - even with 70 apps installed - some of them large like the American Heritage Dictionary which is several hundred megabytes. I did the following:
    1. I set iTunes to NOT do autosyncs every time I plug in. This setting is in the Itunes preferences.
    2. I disabled the autobackups in iTunes for the iphone. I figured that if it did crash and it was going to take 2 hours to restore, why not just reload. The instructions are readily found using google search; it involves a command line setting. Anyway, the phone doesn't crash anymore since doing this.
    3. I no longer install apps using the iPhone. I first install the app in iTunes and the I manually sync it to the iphone. I avoid doing multiple installs at once; at least for the large apps. Right click on each app and get its info from within itunes. If it is large, it is going to take time to backup.
    4. I always first shut off the iphone and restart it before installing any apps in itunes. This clears any memory issues left behind from use.
    I am going to continue to do these procedures until Apple releases a fix for the bugs relating to the apps.
    As noted, since I took these steps, I have had no crashes. I was crashing at least once every 1-2 days before with the same or less number of apps. I too was a first gen iPhone user and was very frustrated with the 3G experience. Since doing the above, I am once again a very happy and productive iPhone 3G user. I know its a pain to do this, but the bugs will get fixed at some point. I would never go back to my old phones - they were just phones.

    The optics might be dirty. Try running a cleaning CD through it and see if that makes a difference.
    If not, it will have to be replace.

    Unless it's confirmed officially that your phone is defective, then you can ask for a replacement. Or you have to live with you. However you can trade it for a new one if you don't care the price drop.

  • Problem executing main method with wrong connection to DB data

    Hi,
    I'm executing my 2 projects in the same application with wrong DB-connection data.
    When i execute one of the projects, i get one only Window having this text:
    +(oracle.jbo.DMLException) JBO-26061: Error al abrir la conexión JDBC.+
    That's exactly what i wanted, but when i execute the other project i get this window, but also 20 windos or so having the following text:
    +(oracle.jbo.JboException) JBO-29000: Se ha obtenido una excepción inesperada: java.lang.NullPointerException, mensaje=null+
    In both projects the exception ocurrs in the same line: panelBinding.refreshControl(). They have exactly the same code in main class, so i don't understand why in one project i get the only window i want (the one saying JDBC conection is wrong) and in the other one i get round 20 more.
    Why is this happening?
    Thanks in advance. Pablo.

    Maybe important: in the database navigator, when a introduce a right user, but a wrong password, in project 2 the database user account gets locked. This doesn't happen in project 1.
    Any idea??

  • Webi base on BW query based on Infoset comes back with wrong values

    Hello:
    I have a Webi report on an OLAP Universe, on Bex Query.
    The bex query is based on 1 INFOSET.
    When I run the webi report the values that comes back a totally wrong values.
    The correct results are not brought back.
    When I do a test with crystal reports to the infoset, I can see the correct values.  (I'm aware crystal uses different drivers).
    The test is BW query designer, and crystal brings back proper values from Infoset based BW query.
    Webi on Infoset based BW Query comes back with wrong data.
    query is simple.
    Pull in 3 attributes, 3 key figures, where componentkey = "111"
    I get 36 rows in Crystal and 36 rows in Bex Analyzer, 36 rows in BW query designer (web analyzer).
    I get many rows in webi (almost like a CARTENSIAN product).
    I search a round this forum but still did not see a conclusive answer to this problem.
    But I see another thread that several others faced this same issue without a resolution.
    My environment.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Was this problem ever solved?
    I am having a similar problem with an infoset based query.
    I have created the BW infoset, and confirmed that the correct data is returned from the underlying infoproviders. A simple BW query on that infoset yields the same results.
    Create the universe, and then the WEBI, and WEBI now shows hundreds of records where I expect 10. Data is being returned in WEBI that definitely shouldn't be there. It's almost like the restrictions applied in the characteristic restriction area of my BW query are being ignored, even if I include them in the WEBI query.
    Cheers,
    Andrew

  • Date string returns inconsistent results

    I use the function Format Date/Time String with the format argument "%d%b%Y_%H-%M-%S" to get a string which looks like "01Oct2004_11-01-45". The built application returns the same, however when the application is run on a PC in South Korea the string "01102004_11-01-45" is returned. What is wrong?

    Hello leifk,
    it seems they don't have an abbreviated month name :-)
    I think, it depends on the operating system and the country settings. Perhaps Labview can not work with the South Korean font (or unicode or whatever) and replaces the month name by the number...
    Btw. I would use "%Y%m%d" to have a alphabetical / numerical sorting order.

  • Bug: 1st Date value returned from CF function as an Array

    I am encountering an annoying behavior in Flex.  I call a CF function to return a query into an arraycollection - very basic.  If the SELECT statement in the CF function includes any dates as returned values, the first date in the SELECT statement comes back into Flex as an array object that includes all of the fields in the query.  The other dates are returned normally as Date data types.
    This started happening a month or two ago, and I've reproduced it on several machines.  Needless to say, it is causing numerous errors when my code excpects a Date and gets an Array.
    Do you have any ideas of what might be causing this and what I can do about it?
    Thanks!!

    I'm not sure where to post it, but here are some snippets:
    in the cfc, I have a function as such:
    <CFFUNCTION name="GetPersonLog" returntype="query">
        <CFARGUMENT name="STUDENTID" type="numeric" required="Yes">
        <CFQUERY name="qry" datasource="#connection_string#">
            SELECT tblStudentLog.STUDENTLOGID, tblStudentLog.STUDENTID,
            <!---GETDATE() AS TESTTHIS,--->
            tblStudentLog.LOGDATE,
            tblStudentLog.LASTUPDATED,
            tblStudentLog.LOGENTRY
            FROM  tblStudentLog LEFT OUTER JOIN
            tblStudentDiscipline ON tblStudentLog.StudentDisciplineID = tblStudentDiscipline.StudentDisciplineID
            WHERE tblStudentLog.STUDENTID = <CFQUERYPARAM value = "#studentid#">
            ORDER BY tblStudentLog.LOGDATE DESC
        </CFQUERY>
        <CFRETURN qry>
    </CFFUNCTION>
    You see I have a REMmed out line to get a test date.  If I check the results in CF using cfdump, all dates come back as dates.
    In flex, the handler for the call to this function is simple:
            private function PersonLogHandler(event:ResultEvent):void{
                personlog = event.result as ArrayCollection;
                CursorManager.removeBusyCursor();}
    If I stop the code here and evaluate the results in debug mode, I find that the LOGDATE result is an array of values, while the LASTUPDATED field is a date.
    If I put back the GETDATE() AS TESTTHIS, statement in the cfc function, then the result includes LOGDATE as a date object, but now the TESTTHIS result is an array.
    I have experienced this on 2 different machines, and it has brought my development to a standstill.  I can't thin of what changed to start these problems, except that I am now using the FlashPlayer 10 (with debugger).  This happens in Firefox and IE.  I am using FlexBuilder 3 and Coldfusion 8.

  • Format of Date field is loading wrongly in the Infocube 0pp_c01.

    Hi,
    Format of Date field is loading wrongly in the Infocube 0pp_c01. But it is loading properly into PSA.
    I am loading data into PP infocubes from the following DataSources.(they all are 3.x datasources)
    1. 2LIS_04_P_MATNR
    2. 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL
    3. 2LIS_04_P_COMP
    The data is coming properly upto PSA.  For example Actual Start date is loaded in cube like 733.884.
    And, it is the same issue with all the cubes. So I checked the update rules. But, in it the mapping is done properly.
    Thanks $ Regards

    Hi,
    HEre also value is loaded correctly. The reason u are seeing it in this format is because it is mapped into a key figure in the info cube.
    It will store the value as number of days from a standard date like 1/1/1000 or 1/1/1900 - not sure which one of these, u should be able to search and find the correct date in the forums..but this is the logic behind it
    Hope it helps.

    Rathy
