Date picker missing

I have a form made up of a table. In one row I have a date picker. Unfortunately, I need to hide this row before the page load up. When a radio is picked, then this date picker row will show. However, when the row shows, the date picker does not appear. Why is this and how can I get around this issue?
<h:inputText id="text2" styleClass="inputText">
<hx:convertDateTime />
<hx:inputHelperDatePicker />
</h:inputText>

It will help others if you mention the specific component used. It's a Sun forum here, expecting discussions about the Sun JSF RI components (the h: components). You're talking about the IBM Faces Client Framework component (the hx: components).
How is the row displayed/hidden? Clientside or serverside? I guess it's clientside and that there may be something wrong in the Javascript (as always with those IBM components). Run a Javascript debugger and take a look. The Venkman JS debugger extension for Firefox is a nice one. If you still get stucked and don't get any response here, try the IBM developerworks forums.

  • Discoverer Viewer - date picker is missing

    Hi,
    I have a report with the date parameter. It is based on the item of date type. If I run it in the Discoverer Plus then the parameter has the date picker next to the filed as expected and I can choose the date from the calendar. Running the same in the Viewer there is no picker and the date cannot be choosen from the calendar.
    I am using Discoverer 10.1.2.55.26.
    Does someone know how to get the date pciker in the Viewer as well?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Stanka

    Lots of luck. Oracle, in its infinite wisdom, did not provide a date picker in Viewer. I would suggest submitting an enhancement request to Oracle. If enough of us customers do that, maybe Oracle will figure out that this is a feature its user base greatly desires.

  • Date Picker not allowing to capture time

    Hello Friends,
    I am trying to create a tabular form on a table[create SQL as below].
    CREATE TABLE  "JOB_RUN_DETAILS"
       (     "JOB_NAME" VARCHAR2(100),
         "SCH_RUN_DATE" DATE,
         "START_DATE" DATE,
         "END_DATE" DATE,
         "STATUS" VARCHAR2(100),
         "ID" NUMBER NOT NULL ENABLE
    /My idea of the tabular form is to allow entry of time both hours and minutes from the date picker along with date for <b>"START_DATE", "END_DATE" </b> items.
    But I dont see a possibility to do that for hours and minutes. But I remember having seen this in Apex 3.2, not sure if I missed some thing while page making or this feature of Date Picker is left intentionally in the new release.
    Please share any ideas you have.
    Thanks,
    Chaitu.

    My understanding is you are trying to create a Tabular form using the Table which you specified, you are expecting time part to be displayed in the Date Picker column ?.
    The Time part of hours and Minutes will be displayed based on the format mask used for the Application or the item. if the format mask is DD-MM-YYYY HH24:MI then you will see the hour and minute part with the Date Picker.

  • Text messages and phone calls from March 2012 to date are missing after activating iphone5

    text messages and phone calls from March 2012 to date are missing after activating iphone5. I backed up my 4 before activating my 5. Can i retrieve them somehow?

    i would not want to bet on nokia ever releasing a patch or update in the software to allow this function on this particular phone.
    if you look at nokia phones over the years, they have added functionality like this across a wide range all at once, take for example timed profiles on symbian phones. these have only just been phased in.
    i do not think it is a development cop out, more along the lines that nokia is a huge company and as such would have a huge effor in market research. if they didnt pick this out through their market researc, why spend the money adding it?
    the comment on annoyance is entirely personal to me, as it is important to you - you may want to consider moving to a symbian (series 60) based handset as these give you a lot of expansion for this sort of need.

  • Date Picker with Previous and Next Year Options

    Hi All,
    I am implementing a date picker in my application which is tied to an attribute of type PA0001-BEGDA. Date Picker as such works fine but navigating to previous year and Next year options are not available. User has to go month by month to different years if they have to navigate.
    Is this the normal behavior of the Date Picker or am I missing something else to get the previous and Next year icons in the Date Picker.
    Thanks,
    Nagarajan.

    hmm..I tried using the select options and it did give the same date picker with the previous and Next navigation icons...The only problem with the select options is that its a single field which has the range and can accept multiple values too...
    I tried to figure out how the date picker that we use in the custom application and the one in Select Options differ but no luck...Does this ring any bell?
    Thanks,
    Nagarajan.

  • Why is the date picker icon is not showing on the PDF file?

    Hi,
    I added a date field on a form.
    I can see the date picker icon when viewing the form online but when I download and open the PDF to my computer and open it on Adobe Reader that icon doesn't show up.
    It's important since my users then need to manually enter the date instead of choosing it on the graphic interface (some of my users are older so need all the help they can get)
    Is there an option or something I missing to make the date picker icon show up on the actual PDF file as well?
    Thanks

  • Date Picker ADF Faces

    I have a selectinputdate on my jsp page. When I run my app in OC4J Standalone 10.1.3 and select the calendar image for the date picker, a popup opens with the following error: 500 Internal Server Error
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: AdfFacesContext was already released or had never been attached.
    Any idea what is wrong with my application?

    I do not have the ability to post my jsp page. (If you really need it, I can type it in my next post). I am developing in Eclipse and JDev 10.1.3.0.4 that is why I am running the application using the Standalone OC4J server and not the embedded OC4J. Is there a specific library that I am missing to get the date picker to work?
    Thanks for any help.

  • Date picker not working on quote registration form

    I inserted the date picker as a form field in my Quote Registration form. It works in the web forms preview but when I insert it nothing happens. Here is the sample site: http://coopsupport.businesscatalyst.com/
    I tried inserting is as HTML and as a module and neither worked. What did I miss?

    Hi,
    Something in your template is conflicting here once I remove the template the date picker works as normal.
    Please note the conflicts can be with a referenced js or jquery in the template.  I would check for this unfortunately scripting is outside our support scope however I'll leave this open to the community to offer any additional suggestions.
    Kind regards,

  • Date Picker in UIX - VO Exception

    We work with Oracle 10g JDeveloper (10.1.2). We have a date picker in our UIX page. We we click on the date picker icon for the first time, it shows exception like, Error in executing EmployeeVO, in and out parameter missing. Though we are not accessing this VO, it throws us this exception. But after closing the window and click on the date picker icon, it shows the proper date picker. Or without closing the date picker child window, if we give a refresh, it shows the proper date picker. Can any one give a solution for this problem?

    The problem is likely that you have two fields with the same "name". You can only have one; try changing the messageTextInput into a messageDateField instead of having both on the same page.

  • Date picker in Smart Collection dialogue box

    Unless I am missing something, there is no date picker in the Smart Collection dialogue box. This is annoying, and the opposite would be very useful.

    You need to let us know the Visual Studio version and client type.
    If it is the HTML client then often this can happen by by wiring up the tap events in the wrong place or similar mistakes.
    If it is desktop client then you need to be checking your code, commands, event wiring and then posting back details if you cannot see the mistake.

  • Editable and Read-Only Date Picker have different display formats -- Bug?

    Hi all,
    This is a follow on to a previous posting about getting a Date Picker field to display read-only (Date Picker and Read-Only Condition works on LAST state of element
    Now past that hurdle, I have noticed something about the date picker field when it is displays read-only. Namely, the date format is not the format selected, nor does the read-only date format comply with the format mask in the source section.
    I've modified my small test app to work as intended in order to demonstrate this feature. I also opened it up so everyone can see it <blush>. You can find it here: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=42513: Please navigate to the Update Project tab.
    When a project in Program One through Four is selected (which has a Spec Committed date), the date is displayed DD-MON-YY format. When a project the other Programs (which do not have Spec Committed dates at the time of this writing) are selected, and a date value selected with the date picker, the date is displayed in the anticipated DD-MON-YYYY format.
    Anyone else notice this, or have I just missed something obvious?
    Thanks,
    Petie

    I'm not sure why this happens but to work around it I added this before header process code to the page:
    execute immediate 'alter session set nls_date_format = ''DD-MON-YYYY''';

  • Only Select date from date picker

    How can I disable typing date in field text (Choose Date Component)? On other words the user can just select from date picker .

    Thank you for replying.
    Actually, I tried to plug the java script in the JSP page but still I did not manage to disable user input. I followed these step:
    1. Add the script
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function filterInputComponent(){
    var component = document.getElementById("inputDate1");
    component.setAttribute("style","background-color:#ebe9e9");
    component.onfocus = function(evt){
    var _lovButton = component.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling;
    _lovButton.focus();
    </script>
    2.Define Id for selectIputDate component as "inputDate1"
    3.Change onload - body property to be "filterInputComponent"
    What might be the problem? Did I miss some steps? Or?
    Thanks

    The URL doesn't seem correct: http://domain.com/form60java/oracle/forms/registry/Registry.dat
    I'm expecting a slash (/) between forms60 and java. Have a look in the formsweb.cfg if any paths are misconfigured.
    Also, try if the URL with the slash:
    http://domain.com/form60/java/oracle/forms/registry/Registry.dat
    does work when you just paste it in a browser. It should download the Registry.dat file

    This is a server configuration error, which occurs when the client is unable to find the

    Solution:
    When this error occurs, check if the file Registry.dat is present on the middle tier in the
    directory ORACLE_HOME/forms/java/oracle/forms/registry. If it is not
    present, then it needs to be placed.
    In a running Forms application, if you suddenly come across this error, there is a
    possibility that the HTTP server has gone down. You may verify this by typing the
    Diagnosing Server Crashes with Stack Traces
    A-8 Deployment Guide

    myserver.com with your host name and NNNN with your HTTP server’s port
    number. If your browser says that it could not connect to the server, then your HTTP
    server is down and you need to contact your system administrator to bring it up.
    When the HTTP server is up and running, on giving the URL

    Extremely grateful for any suggestion.

    Hi,
    What changes have been done recently?
    Did AutoConfig complete successfully on all tiers?
    If SSL has been enabled recently, please run SSL diagnostics tests and make sure all runs successfully -- Search "My Oracle Support" for "SSL Diagnostics R12".
    Enable debug and see if you get more details about the error -- See (Note: 422419.1 - R12, 12.1.1 - How To Enable and Collect Debug for HTTP, OC4J and OPMN) and (Note: 438652.1 - R12: Forms Runtime Diagnostics (FRD), Tracing And Logging For Forms In Oracle Applications).
