I am having issues on how to use date picker in a design i am working on and i need help here.Php or Java script.
I need your solutions`. i will really appreciate.

Date picker is not available in date/time field

Hi there,
I'm wondering while using a date/time field. Since I made some changes on this field the date picker (Arrow down right next to the field to show up a calendar) is no longer available. Has anybody got a clou what the problem might be or how I can bring the date picker back to this field.

I'm just wondering about the following settings/patterns:
As you can see this field is from the type "Date/Time Field". So far so good, but when I'm opening the dialog "Patterns", this dialog is just for a "Date Field" and not for a "Date/Time Field". No trouble so far, but the confusion thing is that the date picker is available in this field. Has anybody a clou how this is working? Or can anybody help me to convert a "Date/Time Field" to a normal "Date Field" which provides this date picker?

Default the Date Picker to Today

Hi,
I have a date item called Due Date that has a defualt set to
PL/SQL Function Body
return to_char(to_date('31-Dec-2050'), 'dd-Mon-yyyy');
But my user would like the date picker to show today when they open it to change it. Is this possible? Is there no 'Today' button option?

First, and out of sheer curiosity, what is the nature of your application, that you have a due date on 2050?

I don’t think this behavior is possible with the current date picker. The date picker points to the item current date, as it should be, and don’t include a “today” button. What you can do is to add such a button yourself, using the “post element text” field of the date picker item. This button, using a JavaScript code, can set the value of the date picker item to “today” – using a hidden item containing “today” date. If the user still need to look for a closer date, he can open the date picker, and now it should open on the “today” date.
Another option is to use an external date picker, like the one in here - http://www.dynarch.com/projects/calendar/ . This one include a “today” button.

Date Picker problem in APEX 4.1

Hi,
I have developed one application in ApEx 4.0 and imported it in ApEx 4.1. In ApEx 4.1, while clicking the Date picker field (on calendar icon) the application is started giving below error :

I have gone through the below OTN link,But I do not have such scenario which has been discussed over there.

Other scenario which I have tried:
In ApEx 4.1, Created a new application with one page having date picker, it is working fine. If I copy/import this page in my old application(which was imported from ApEx 4.0) then the date picker is showing the above error.
NOte: We are using IE 8 & 9.

We found the problem. The problem is due the file 'jquery.min.js' file we have uploaded in shared components --> images. Once we deleted then it is working fine.

How can use a date picker to fill in dates in Numbers

I would like to know how can I have cells in date format which I would be able to fill with a date picker fro a calendar?

There is no date picker gui item in Numbers. Every idea I thought of in my head took longer then typing. If you describe your specific problem a little more people may be able to provide some other solutions

I tried the normal date picker as in the edit form but it doesn't work!
With the following code it is possible to select a date from the date picker:

Custom Date Picker

Is it possible to customize the date picker so that the calendar is flat based, i.e. the calendar just shows up next to the calendar image instead of appearing it in anothe window?

Well, i got a date picker created from APEX, and obviously to modify it, I will need to change the javascript call. But I'm not sure where i can edit this.
coz my date picker is calling a javascript function getcal0_p_t03_8() and i don't know where i can change this as i don't see it anywhere in my items

Date Picker not allowing to capture time

I am trying to create a tabular form on a table[create SQL as below].

/My idea of the tabular form is to allow entry of time both hours and minutes from the date picker along with date for <b>"START_DATE", "END_DATE" </b> items.
But I dont see a possibility to do that for hours and minutes. But I remember having seen this in Apex 3.2, not sure if I missed some thing while page making or this feature of Date Picker is left intentionally in the new release.
Please share any ideas you have.

My understanding is you are trying to create a Tabular form using the Table which you specified, you are expecting time part to be displayed in the Date Picker column ?.
The Time part of hours and Minutes will be displayed based on the format mask used for the Application or the item. if the format mask is DD-MM-YYYY HH24:MI then you will see the hour and minute part with the Date Picker.

How do you add a format to the "Date Picker Format Mask" available formats?

Bill - From the popup help text:
If you need to create a Date Picker item, but the format you need does not appear in the Display As list, select Date Picker (use application format mask). When an application uses this type of date picker, the Application Express engine derives the date format from an item named PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK. You can populate this item in two ways:
- By defining an application substitution string named PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK
- By creating an application-level item named PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK

This isn't a question but rather a warning to anyone using the new OS for iphone 4. The imessage uses up your data plan like crazy. I called Apple about it and they said no it's not doing it. I called AT

The new OS is burning through my data plan like crazy and here's why. Imessage uses your data plan and not your texting plan. So every time you send a text message to someone with an iphone it uses imessage and it uses your data, not your text plan. I couldn't figure out why I was burning through so much of my data plan so quickly. I called Apple and they said, no it's not the data plan doing it. I called AT&T and they said, yes, the imessage uses data instead of your texting plan if you are texting to another iphone. Also, the new OS runs your apps all the time, even when you aren't using them. So if you are not near wifi your apps are running and burning your data plan. The AT&T guy took me through the steps to turn off the apps. You can still use them but they won't be running constantly. Seriously Apple, you should let people know this. It does say it in the fine print on the website "data rates may apply" under imessage but most people will never read this. So my data plan started on October 10th and it's already at 175 megabytes and I only have a 200 megabyte plan. I've never used more than 50 to 75 megabytes in a month. Apple get it together and be honest with people and tell them. Quit denying the problem. Most people have probably not even discovered this yet. Wait till you get your bill.

The data source is a Date column called dev_requested_dttm. I haven't defined a format mask for it. (I have tried using &PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK..)

The retrieved column value for p16_dev_requested_dttm looks fine, but when I click the date picker pushbutton, I get this message:

Unfortunately, the answer is no to both of your questions.
There is no way for you as a developer to control which date is highlighted in the popup calendar. It will always highlight the current day (if you're displaying a month that contains the current day). This is an interesting and prudent suggestion, and one which we'll consider for an upcoming release of HTML DB.
With regards to your second point, that also is something we should consider for an upcoming release of HTML DB. This isn't impossible for us to do, it was just designed to work in the current fashion. If you look at the generated HTML for the Date Picker item on the page (not the popup calendar itself, but the page on which the item is rendered), we break out each element of the date value into discrete components. When we instead rely upon the user entered value, garbage or date values not conforming to the date format mask are easily entered. And the question is - what to do then? Raise an error immediately, still popup the calendar and show the current month, etc. So we've tried to be fairly strict about the date values and format masks for the popup calendar, hence the implementation you see.

How to Resize the default date picker calendar

Hello Experts,
SAP CRM web UI shows a date picker as follows for populating fields of type date.
We noticed a strange issue that for months like January 2015 , the width of the date picker is lesser than what is shown for November 2014.
As you can see in the following snapshot , the dropdown icon of the second field is hidden when the month shown is November 2014.
This an issue because of the different sizes shown for different months , users would have to move mouse pointer when they to move to next months by clicking on the next arrow icon.
Any tricks to fix the width of the date picker will be really appreciated.

You can try following tricks -
1. Go to SE80, search for BSP Application = 'thtmlb_styles'
2. under Pages with Flow Logic - we have one CSS file called "thtmlb_core_stand.css"
3. In this file try changing width of method call ' #thtmlb-calendar-container ' to 150px like shown below.

     position:               absolute;
     width:                  150px;

Display in a date picker (calendar)

Hello,
I have a date picker when i press a button, to choose a date from calendar. But some months are displayed with the year too, like November 2009, June 2009, and in this image i uploaded, in case of September only the month is displayed.. i don't know why the year does not appear. And not just in case of September, but December too.
Any help?

Maybe it is just because there is no space enough to display both month and year. Is it possible to increase the width of the calendar box ?

Date Picker Calendar Question

For the last several days I am looking for a way to incorporate into my php page (developed with Dreamweaver CS5) a date picker /Calendar (like the ones that the travel agencies have for example) that allows a user to enter in a input text field the date or if he/she chooses to click a button that will show a calendar (hopefully aligned with the text field) - then the user should be able to click on a selected date: action that triggers the dissapearance of the calendar and the selected date to be shown in the text field: This seems quite basic - but for some reason I cannot find a widget of anything that works this way.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Dates greyed out in calendar date picker

Hi,
I have created a parameterised condition allowing users to enter two dates as part of a range
join_date between :FromStartDate AND :ToEndDate
On executing the worksheet , the runtime parameter dialog allows the user the option to choose the date from a calendar. On briefly testing this, I noticed that the initial dates displayed in the calendar dialog were from 2002. More importantly, on trying to 'pick' today's date for the :ToEndDate parameter, only 2 dates were selectable for this month. Is the choice of dates from the calendar dependant on the actual Join_date values in the database? I created the parameterised condition as part of the worksheet wizard,

When you create the business area, what are you specifying in the Load Wizard Step 4? In that step you are asked if you want to generate additional objects. One of those choices involves date hierarchies. I always check that, and leave at the default of Default Date Hierarchy. Any date columns that come into my business area folders get automatically assigned to that default date hierarchy and get a LOV for them. When I take one of those date fields and make it a parameter in a work book, it automatically gets the LOV icon next to it (in Discoverer Plus) and has a pretty full choice of years to choose from. I admit to not knowing where it is getting the date data to select from, but it all works like magic as far as I am concerned. So you may want to look at how you create a business area, to see if maybe you need to change something in that process. You should not be having these kinds of problems. Unless maybe these column you want to use are not defined as date columns? So a couple of things to consider here.
