Date selection giving wrong sequence of dates in variable output...

hi gurus
While executing a query it is also showing the calendar date as 31.12.9999. Qty & value is also under the same date while there is no such date in cube.
why is it so.

Just search the data in R/3 System for that characteristic.
Later,check whether any routine was written for the 0calday in transformations?

Wrong sequence of printout's.

Hi!
When I print on an SAP printer, the output requests are issued in the wrong sequence, even though the SAP output device in SPAD is defined with the "sequential processing" attribute. This situation appear when I have got more than 400 spool requests. When I put more requests some printout are missing and the sequence is wrong.
I checked the SAP notes especially Note 412065 - Incorrect output sequence of output requests.
I check the parameter rspo/global_shm/job_list and It is 1000. That mean I can put on spool queue 1000 requests before it will be full. I put less becouse 400. What is wrong and how can I fix it.

Why Transaction Date Line Earlier Created than Creation Date and Make Wrong Sequence?

Hi Guys,
In material transaction record, we have two different item and transaction : First is Move Order Issue and then WIP Completion.
Both of them have same problem. The problem is in the transaction_date and creation_date. If we see the transaction_date is earlier created than creation_date
The query data from material transaction order by descending :

This problem have made each transaction in wrong sequence. The PO Receipt must be created before Move Order Issue and The WIP Completion must be created before WIP Issue.
And also this wrong place record take effect to costing.
How can be happened? And any solution to solve and prevent this problem?

In your case number 1, its look like hapened due to date in form transact move order not automaticaly update.
but i dont know. why transaction date in form transact move order not automaticaly update if we dont open close that form.
anyone explain this?
maybe little tips, you must inform your user to be close that form after he / she doing allocate / transact move order.
or you can personalize that form.

hi,
you are passing the value to ALv using an internal table.
so store the format YYYYMMDD date in the internal table and pass it to ALV.
use the below FM
DD/MM/YYYY -> YYYYMMDD

Creation/modification dates text variable wrong

I have a document where i wish to use the creation date amd modification date text variables. However when htey are inserted into the document the date is wrong. My Local Date Time on the pc is correct.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I am running ID CS4 if that helps.

Well I created the document yesterday. 18/10/2012 and it brings up a creation date of 27/02/12.
But creating another new doucment it shows correctly.
So all i can assume is that there may have been another file created on that date with the same name and it is taking that date even though this is a new document

Query giving wrong values in portal but correct through RSRT

Hi,
Users are running a query through portal which is giving wrong figures. But when we are running the query through RSRT it is showing correct values. The quesry is built on top of an InfoCube which is regularly updated and data in it is matching with R/3.
This is an Inventory Valuation Query.
Please suggest what could be the possible issue.

Hi,
Make sure cache is deleted for the particular query. While the report is executed through portal it refers the cache and if the data in the backend is not changed then the cache for a particular query selection is active and referred each time the query is run.
on other hand while running RSRT we have an option of not using cache and thus it refers the infoprovider and fetches the correct result. In this case cache could be invalid.
Try deleting the cache.

Date Difference between to date formula variable

Hi Expert,
                I have create two formula variable one for Document Date and another one for Goods reciept date
and through formula variable I am subtracting these two formula variable and getting the no. of days between
document date and GR date.
This Shows me the correct value for one document date because i am filtering my query according to document
date,
while i am giving the date range for document date is shows me incorrect result. bucause document date formula
variable contains only one date.
Eg. i am giving the document date range like 01.02.2010 - 28.02.2010.
      In document date formula variable it contains only 01.02..2010 and GR date formula variable it contain correct
value, thats why the date difference is incorrect because those PO which has PO date like 12.02.2010 for that Doc
formula variable bring the same date like 01.02.2010.
Please tell me the solution

                 Actually i have created two formula variable on for PO date and another for GR date
and i've restrict the query through PO date.
while i am taking the single PO date in Selection parameter it showing me correct difference
eg: Selection Parameter for PO: 01.01.2010
But while i am taking the date interval for PO date
eg: 01.01.2010-30.01.2010
PO No: XXXXX123 , Doc date: 01.01.2010 GR date: 7.01.2010 then date difference is : 6
PO No: XXXXX432, Doc date: 03.01.2010 GR date: 8.01.2010 then date difference is : 7 but it is 5

ODI: Using Date in Variable - Suggestion

I have created a refresh variable - DAY with following code:
Select TO_CHAR(sysdate,'MM/DD/YYYY') from dual
Variable datatype - Alphanumeric
Now I am using the siame variable as evaluate variable in a package.
The Evaluation condition is also the same - Select TO_CHAR(sysdate,'MM/DD/YYYY') from dual
However, the ODI is not evaluating the condition properly and always returns false.
Any guidelines where i am going wrong.

Please try below select query in both refresh and evaluate variables, for date variable hope you provided Logical Schema in date variable
SELECT '<%=odiRef.getSysDate( )%>' FROM dual
In Refresh variable:
pass above select query
place same variable in pkg with variable type Evaluate
In Evaluate variable:
by default above select query will available in Refreshing tab and in Evaluate variable property give Operator as = and Value as above select query.
This will work

Variable pop up with date format yyyymmdd. but i want dd.mm.yyyy.
I have checked my user profile setting and it is dd.mm.yyyy.

User Report data bind variable problems

I am trying to build a simple report in SQLDeveloper, using a DATE bind variable. But it fails with the error message:
Inconsistent datatype, expected DATE got NUMBER

ORDER BY MESSAGE_FLOW_ID
Running this query in SQLDeveloper worksheet executes properly after a dialog box pops up and I enter: current_date - 1

You'll have to convert the input to date yourself:

I am getting error in using the date repository variable in Filter expression. I am using the below formula
filter( Fact.calls USING "Dim Time"."Fiscal Month End Date" = VALUEOF("month_start") )
I am getting below error
Formula syntax is invalid.
[nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 22024] A comparison is being carried out between non-compatible types. (HY000)
SQL Issued: SELECT filter( fact.Calls using "Dim Time"."Fiscal Month End Date" =VALUEOF("month_start")) FROM "Call Data"
Then i tryed the below format i am getting still the error

Date formula variable in BEx output

Dear All,
In Bex , I made a formula variable F_CURDATE and used it in formula. I fill it with current date
l_s_range-low = sy-datum.
My value in BEx comes 201,40,604. This is 04 Jun 2014.
Why isn't it coming in date format. I then, used data function [date]'process value as date. The output shows value X.
How can I show date in date format in BEx?

The bit l_s_range-low = sy-datum must be coming from the customer exit code, right?
And should this code not be used for populating a cust exit variable? How do you populate sy-datum to a formula variable in the query? Pls correct me if i m missing something in your question.
However if it is a formula variable on 0CALDAY, there are standard SAP variables giving current date.
Can you not use them in your query as per your requirement?

Required Output - Display one record for each Reseller with recent Date.

What I did till now --->
Created a Formula and included a Formula Variable (replacement Path ref char - Sales Date) hence I got the date as keyfigure.

For the Sales Date Formula (Calculation tab - Calculate result as Maximum) to display the result as maximum.
The issue is that when I remove the Sales Date from Drilldown the Sales Date Formula display X. I was expecting the result row to be displayed i.e the maximum value for RS1 and RS2.
Can you guide where I am going wrong... or any other method to achieve the above output is appreciated.

Through replacement path you can achieve this.
On row side put *Reseller.
on Column side create a formula(and on Aggregation Tab: Exception Aggregation: Last Value, Reference Characteristics: Sales Date)
and there create formula variable and use replacement path.
Details
Type of variable: Formula
Processing By: Replacement Path
Reference Characteristics: Sales Date
Replace variable with: InfoObject
Replace With: Key
Dimension: Date
