Date specific to calculate late fee

I am trying to make the form calculate and automatic late fee. I am sure I need to use the if then format, but I can't find what format to use to check the late fee date.
The formula needs to do this.
If todays date is <= April 1, 2006 then
latefee=0
else
late fee is $30.00
I know that isn't all the correct formula, it is the date format I can not find. Can anyone help?
Thanks

You're welcome! I'm glad your form works now.
If I recall correctly, FormCalc was a language designed to resemble writing calculations in Excel (which are usually writeable on a single line) and geared towards typical form calculations. I believe you would typically use FormCalc when writing short calculations whereas JavaScript would offer more flexibility in more complex scripts. That's my opinion, anyway.
Also, FormCalc scripts generally execute faster than JavaScript scripts so if speed is a requirement (for large, complex calculations involving multiple fields), you may want to try scripting the calculations in FormCalc rather than JavaScript.
I don't know if you've picked-up on this in your various studies but an example of the differences between FormCalc and JavaScript is the fact that in FormCalc, you just need the field's name in order to assign a value to it as opposed to JavaScript for which you must specify the property to which you're assigning the value:
NumericField1 = 30
The preceding line assigns the number 30 to the field named NumericField1 in FormCalc.
NumericField1.rawValue = 30;
The preceding line does the same thing but in JavaScript.
So I would say that FormCalc is simpler to use but sacrifices flexibility for its simplicity whereas JavaScript is more difficult as it sacrifices simplicity for its flexibility.

  • In AP invoice i need to make "Terms date " field to calculate the date automatically when i select the payment terms

In AP invoice i need to make "Terms date " field to calculate the date automatically when i select the payment terms.
    How can i do this?

    Hi,
You can select the Payment Term at PO Header Level.
When you book an invoice, that Payment Term will automatically defaulted to Invoice.
You can define Payment Term in AP.
Payment terms have one or more payment terms lines, each of which creates one scheduled payment. Each payment terms line and each corresponding scheduled  payment has a due date or a discount date based on either a specific day of a month, such as the 15th of the month, or a number of days added to your terms date, such as 14 days after the terms date.

  • Use of date specification in PCR

    Hi Experts,
I difficulty in understanding use of date specification in PCR. Can anyone help me understanding following operation in a PCR?
    *NUM=FI7T*
Here I7 is date type from infotype 41 and I know that T calculates difference in days. However, I do not understand that differnce of I7 is calculated from which date? In other words what is the meaning of F here. I have gone through documentation and F is related to change in weekly hours but the calculation is not matching.
Can some one please help me?
    Regards,
    Shalini

    Hi,
When you put NUM=F, F means you are taking the date from infotype 41. If you check in tcode pe04, look at the information for NUM and you may see that you use F for bringing the dates of infotype 41. The difference it brings is from the date you are running the payroll and the date I7 from infotype 41 measured in days (this is because you use the letter T. If you put an M you will get it in month and you have other options as well).
    Hope it helps.
    Kind Regards,

  • Due Date specific terms of payment

    Hello Gurus,
How to set-up Due Date Specific Terms of payment ?
    Thanks

    Hi
I got the below answers in my mind.Whether it may work for you or not. i am telling you the possibilities.
    1) Please explain the client about the process in SAP and try to convince them this will have risk. we are giving free hand to the sales person for selecting a imaginary date as due date.
    2) if they are not agreeing for that, they have to put some manual work in that.
In OBB8 Select Default date for base line date -Posting Date.
when they want to post the invoice tell the sale person, select a random date (like customer's birthday), back calculate the days and put the months there.
    3) check for any user exits available or you have to develop  a custom enhancement screen for calculating the due date
You can create a substitution in FI (OB28) and use exit RGGBS000 (Form u100) to write your code
In OB28 - (use method "exit only")
    Prerequisites: Company code = XXXX and Account Type = D and (Syst-Tcode = VF01 or FB70 or VF02)
Choose Field "Baseline date" and mention exit name as U100... Write ABAP code here in
or wait for until some experienced consultants response on this.

  • How to add late fee to total in fillable pdf

I am trying to create a fillable pdf form where a $100 late fee is applied if they submit the form after the deadline.  I have a spot for the person to check a box if they are submitting it after the deadline. How can I get it to calculate in to the total?

Set the export value of the check-box as 100 and then include it in the Sum
    function of your total field.

  • Late Fee policy

I have been with Verizon for almost 10 years. Lately they do things that i believe are unfair. I was told years ago that there was a 10 day grace period to pay my bill without a let fee. Two months ago i noticed that i was being charged a late fee even though i was paying my bill on the 10th day. I called and was told that "Yes, we tell you that there is a 10 day grace period, but it isn't written anywhere." What kind of global company does this? Can't they be sued for false advertisement especially when it is done sometimes but sometimes it isn't? I am lookingg at T-mobile since they are trying to increase their business, verizon has manipulated the plans so much that the discount i get from my employer doesn't even make a dent in my bill. Also, the last time that i upgraded one of the three phones on my plan i was charged a $30 upgrade fee that they neglected to list anywhere, how misleading!  I called to question this and was told that the phones were now so expensive that the discount they give on the price of the phone doesn't cover the cost of the phone for Verizon. This is incredibly stupid because they should add that fee in with the cost of the phone which is more honest than adding it on the back end as some kind of unknown fee? Verizon you had better get your act together or you will find yourself on the bad end of a class action lawsuit and losing customers, people want to save money not give it all to you!

Where did you last upgrade your phone? If it was at a Verizon store, the $30 upgrade fee IS listed on each and every phone displayed in the stores and has been displayed for quite some time.
If you sign into your account and check phone prices online the $30 upgrade fee IS listed in the description/price for each and every phone on the website and has been for quite some time.
If you upgraded at a 3rd party retailer such as Best Buy or Amazon, that is THEIR failure, not Verizon's.
It seems to me interesting someone is complaining Verizon is tacking a fee on the "back end" when it appears you like to pay your bill "on the back end" AFTER the due date at the last possible moment. Just possibly, you didn't make it in under the wire this time???? Maybe if you paid your bill a bit earlier, you wouldn't have to worry about the late fee?
Good luck with your next carrier as I am sure they ALSO charge a late fee. They ALSO charge a HIGHER upgrade fee.

  • Why was I told there is a 7 day grace period??? and now i have a late fee

I was told that the bill is actually 'due' 7 days after the due date. (i.e. a 7 day grace period from date on bill) and now I have a late fee. This is ridiculous! I paid before the 7 days and now I have a late fee, frustrated.

What is the point of a "due date" if the bill isn't "due" until 7 days after the due date? Your "grace" period is the time from when you get your bill until the "due date". For me, that is normally 20 or so days. To me at least, a due date is pretty self explanatory. Just pay the late fee and learn from your mistake.

  • 6 days late on payment and late fee is $ 9.50

Hi,...my bill was due 7/11/2014...this is second time in 10 yrs and the first time wasComcast fault (they will not admit it)...and i made a payment today 7/16...$109.18   (usually it's1st of the month) and now my Total balance due on August 10, 2014 is...$118.69 that's included latefee...$9.50 for being 6 days late...is this right??

I looked up in the comcast information book you get when you first get their service and it states that the late fee is charged 9 days after the date due and only 1 late fee should be charged. I even asked this in a chat with on of the agents and was told the same thing you should not have been charged a late fee.

  • I purchased an iPad mini on October 10th.  I want to return it and get the new ipad mini retina when it comes out.  How do I do that if the new ipad mini release date isn't until "later in November", which is beyond the 14 days from my purchase date?

I purchased an iPad mini on October 10th.  I want to return it and get the new ipad mini retina when it comes out. I am currently still within the 14 day return/exchange window but how can I exchange it if the new ipad mini release date isn't until "later in November", which would be beyond the 14 days from my purchase date?  If apple announces a new version of a product you just purchased but won't actually release it for more than 14 days, how can you possibly exchange the one you just bought?  Is my only option to return the one I bought on the 10th (so return by 10/24) and then not have an iPad until the new one is available for purchase?  Or would it make any sense to return the one I bought, get a new one, which would presumably have another 14 day return window, and then exchange THAT one for the new ipad mini w/ retina when it comes out (hopefully within that second 14 day window)?

Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.

While querying dynamic ation how did you quaried, on which grouping you quried ?
The employee who dont get the details are members in that group are not?
if you give it in feature you must have all 4 dates to all the employees, otherwise you will be in trobuble

  • IT 0041 Date Specifications - Can we add more fields?

Currently, one can only have up to 12 date types / dates in IT 0041.  We are tracking subsitute start date assignments for each substitute teacher - which can result in multiple entries of this customer date type we created.  I saw on SAP help that the screen can be modified.  Can one just go to MP004100 in the infotype screen control and copy entries to add more fields to enter these date specifications?

  • Phone Agent LIED about removing Late Fee

OK, so I had to biz-travel a bit this past Spring, inadvertantly got behind on the bill, paid up in full, incl. LATE FEE--online--June 21st, in the wee hours, before phone agents available. Later that evening, thought "doesn't hurt to ask", got a live agent/rep on the line (Philippines call center), very nice and professional, who, after much time on hold, TOLD ME CLEARLY AND DEFINITIVELY that the Late Fee had been WAIVED, and "thank you for being a Comcast customer, yadda-yadda"... put it out of my mind as another item crossed off my to-do list. So imagine my chagrin when I went to pay my bill this month, ON TIME, only to find that there had been no credit whatsoever, ZERO, zilch.  Basically, they LIED just to get me off the phone, after wasting 10 minutes (9:55 to be exact) of my time. Building loyalty NOT. DSL has gotten MUCH better in my area, and so has SATELLITE, and I'm coming up on the 1-year mark with Comcast... So I'm feeling the BIG SWITCH coming on!  I'll get all the "new customer" deals, and perhaps fewer OUTRIGHT LIES. BOTTOM LINE: If you're not going waive/refund the late fee, just be grown-ups and SAY SO, don't "shine me on" just to get me to go away... 'cause I'm likely to go away for good, and take my subscriber $$ with me.

    @AlphaJet
I am sorry for the delay. I have sent you a private message to assist you further.

  • Remediation Schedule - Date Specific

In my organization, we are only allowed to patch computers from 10:00 pm until 6:00 am the next morning. I want to use the Remediation Schedule - Date Specific function for deploying patches and stay within my narrow window of time, and I thought I could use the "Start at a random time between Start and End Times" feature.
For example, I wanted to start patching on 02/25/09 starting at 10:00 pm, ending at 6:00 am, and I wanted the same schedule for 02/26/09. I added 02/26/09 and 02/27/09 as Start Dates, checked the "Process immediately if device unable to execute on schedule" option, selected the "Start at a random time between Start and End Times" feature, and set the Start Time for 10:00 pm and the End Time for 6:00 am. Unfortunately, I have computers patching at 11:00 am on 02/26/09, which is not at all what I intended.
Do the Start and End Times have to fall on the same date? Based on how I did it above, what logic is ZENworks using to determine that it's ok to patch at 11:00 am? I was trying to mimic the old-style blackout schedule we used to have with PatchLink. Is it even possible to do it without having to specify a content blackout schedule, which would effect not only patch bundles, but my bundles, settings, and policies?

  • Infotype 41 (Date Specification)

    Hi,
Can anybody explain clearly what is the difference between Date Type 01 (Technical Date of Entry) and Date Type 07 (Hire Date) in infotype 41 (Date Specifications).
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Sudarsan

    Hi,
    Hope this explanation helps
Day Type is an indicator that a certain calendar day is payment-relevant, that is, an employee is paid for working that day.
An employee's scheduled attendance can differ from the employee's daily work schedule.
    Example
Two day types are defined in the standard SAP System. Day type "0" or "blank" indicates a paid workday and day type "1" indicates days that are paid but no work is performed. Therefore, public holidays are assigned the day type "1."
If a calendar day is assigned the day type "1," than the day is considered "off" and is paid, although the employee usually works on that day according to the employee's daily work schedule. This is the case, for example, when a public holiday is a Thursday.
