Date/Time title

How can I change the date and time when I put the date/time title alone. I put it right after the whole movie

The Title-Safe area is also called the TV Safe area by Apple. In researching my issue, I found a support article on Apple's website regarding iMovie '08 having a similar problem with titles not fitting within the TV safe area when burned to DVD. Of course, this does not apply to the Date/Time Title in iMovie '09. Here's why: This article's advice to avoid such clipping is to use short titles that are centered in the video clip and to select the 'Show Fonts' button in the Preview window and change the left/right justified title to a centered title. Also, it says to avoid using subtitles to prevent clipping at the lower part of the TV screen. In iMovie '09, I don't see any sort of controls in the Date/Time Title to center the title, change the font, or make it not appear as a subtitle. Here's the link to the article:

Problem with Date / Time Title - Showing Inacurate Information

I use iMovie to make videos for my job. The videos need to have an accurate running time and date displayed on them. I use the "Date/Time" Title option and the running time and date appear on the video. BUT- there is a problem. The time is wrong.
When I import a video clip (from my Panasonic HDC-TM80) into iMovie, I can see the "time and date created" as well as the "length" of the video clip. The time and date created shows the time and date of when the clip ENDS. When I overlay the "Date/Time" Title, it starts the time (at the beginning of the clip) from the created time (which is actually the end).
Example:
Clip Created (end of clip): 3/23/11 10:30:00am
Length of clip: 12 min. 35 sec.
The actual Date/Time Title should show 10:17:25am at the beginning and runs through 10:30:00am (the end).
But instead it shows 10:30:00am at the beginning and runs through 10:42:35am. This obviously results in a 12 min. 35 sec. inaccuracy.
Is this a problem with the software? Is there a way to contact someone to alert them of this problem? Or am I missing something simple?

-as a quick fix, I adjusted the time and date on the video clips so that it would show the correct info, but I'm usually working with several clips at a time and it is laborious to change each one.

I don't have an answer but was wondering how you like the TM80? Except for the date/time issue, is it compatible with iMovie'11?

How do you edit date/time title slide???

I've used date/time title slides in my movie, but I can't edit the date/time. I want the time of the clip, instead it just shows the date/time I inserted the title into the movie. On other title slides, you just click on the info to edit but it doesn't seem to work???

It will pick up the metadata from the clip.
So the first thing to check is whether your clip has metadata. Click VIEW/PLAYHEAD INFO and skim your mouse over the clip. Do you see any data and time info?
You can add date and time info in iMovie by right-clicking on the Event clip and editing the date and time. i am not sure if this will populate the title, but it might. In older versions of iMovie, it would not.
A better solution (assuming you know the date and time) is to select that clip in the Event.
Then right-click on the clip and select Reveal in Finder.
In the Finder, right-click/COPY. Go to your desktop and right-click PASTE. On this copy of the clip, change the name of the clip to clip-yyyy-mm-dd hh;mm;ss;ext where hh is hours in 24 hour time, ext is the current extension, and the rest should be self explanatory.
Once you have done this, import it into iMovie using FILE/IMPORT/MOVIES...
It is OK to import it into the same Event.
Now it should have the correct date and time metadata.

How to save an e-mail as an .eml format and customize the name of the file, for example the name of the file would be "date, time, sender, title"?

It would be fantastic if when saving my e-mails to my computer the file name could be customized to be something different that just the title of the message. As I suggested in the question if it could be set up to be "date, time, sender, title" it would be great, a lot of help when passing an .eml file between co-workers, or simply organizing your e-mails in folders. Is it possible and if yes, how is it done?

Showing Title and date/time info in exported file

I am trying to export a group of photos into a file to then compress and e mail. How do I get the title and date/time info for each photo to export as well and be a part of the file?

You'll need to upgrade to iPhoto 08 or later to write that metadata to the file on export.

IMovie 9.0.8 "date and time" Title is 5 hours off original footage.

Since iMovie doesn't import the original Date and Time that the footage was recorded, I have been using the "date and time" Title feature, which in prior versions has worked well. Since updating to ML and iMovie 9.0.8, the time is off by approximately 5 hours. I can usually correct this by adjusting the date and time in the frame but it's an extra step I'd rather avoid. Has anyone else experienced this glitch? Is there a fix?

How to return a specific date/time range and last event details, when checking the event log via command prompt

I am new to scripting (literally started reading/learning scripting a few hours ago), and I am stuck in trying to get my current script/command to filter a specific date range.
* Note: I am working with Server 2003 and 2008; because of the environment I am in, a lot of scripts (such as Powershell and VBScript) don't work; trying to stick with command line, as it appears to be the only thing that functions correctly in my environment

How can I get the Date & Time to appear on my final project in iMovie11?

I am using iMovie 11 and have imported video from a Canon Vixia-HF21 camera. The EXIF data is imported along with the video but when I produce the final product, the date and time do not appear. How can I get the Date & Time data to appear on the final product?

There is a date and time Title you can use. If I recall correctly, it displays date plus hours and minutes, but not seconds.

How do I change the date/time of a dll created in LabVIEW without killing it

I use the LabVIEW (6.0.2 of course) Application builder to create a dll, and I cannot enter creation information, nor can I modify the date time property, which labVIEW does not properly set. I have tried to modify this information in Visual C++, but that destroys the dll because it wasn't compiled in VC++, and therefore isn't compatible.
If anyone knows how to correctly modify the date/time (and the checksum) without destroying the dll, I would be gratefull to know.

Date/Time on X-Axis with JFreeChart

I've asked this question on the JFreeChart forums, but got no response.
If anyone has any experience with JFreeChart, help would be most appreaciated.
I am drawing a XY Line Chart to display CPU usage retrieved from a database. The user can search with specific dates/times (eg: from: 24/2/2005 to: 16/4/2005) - and then these results would be graphed.
My question is, how do I use dates/times on the X-axis using JFreeChart?
The results I am getting from the DB would be a time-stamp and CPU usage.
Here is my current code, but it wont work with a time-stamp:

How to write Date/Time property of tdms file

On the root page of the tdms file, there is a built-in property called "Date/Time" in the first row.
I would like to use it to save the time stamp when the tdms file is created. But in the help file,
I only find the following property constant. So, how can I write to the "Date/Time" property field?

I'm pretty sure no plugins have come available since you asked about a similar function a couple of days ago. However, you can combine the CSV export from DVMP with the process I outlined in that thread.
I'm not sure what sort of time divisions that DVMP will export (ie. by frame, by second, etc.), but you would be able to adjust the duration of your titles in PPro to build a running counter, for example.

Inserting Date & Time in picture

Hi,
I am new to Adobe, after strugling to get iMovie to produce a decent HD movie, I am delighted with Premiere Elements 9 so far. I am, however, asking for help and assistance in trying to insert the date & time (that the footage was shot) into text on the screen. iMovie had this function which was very useful for home movies, but I cannot find this option? Also, I have run a test video and have found a sound/video sync problem. I am not running anti-virus software as I have a MAC and the saved movie is being exported to an external HDD through firewire. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Welcome to the forum.
PrE does not have a direct way to do this, however, you can create a Title, and manually add the time/date as text.
There is a program, DVDate, that might prove to be helpful, though it's not a plug-in for PrE, so there is still some additonal work in the normal workflow.

Date time picker script does not look right when calender pops up
