Db link creation in same db.

I am trying to create dblink in the same db between schemas . One schema name is clidev2 and other is dbmig. But when i am creating getting below error.
Please some one tell me that how can i create db links between the scheams .I have to create dbling from clidev2 to dbming and dbming to clidev2

I would like to create a loopback link having the same
name as the ORACLE_SID. Is this possible?
Reason: We want to be able to move code between our
development, QA and production instances without changing
the SQL in any way.
In particular some of our materialized views fetch data between
instances using dblinks. I hope to avoid having to edit any
materialized view during development and testing.
We have GLOBAL_NAMES set to FALSE
On our OMCETLP instance, I have found that this fails
with an ORA-02082 error:
create public database link OMCETLP
connect to user identified by <pw>
using 'OMCETLP'
but that this succeeds
create public database link ETLP
connect to user identified by <pw>
using 'OMCETLP'
Also, we cloned our Production instance to create a QA instance and found that
the db links on Production which pointed to QA still worked(!) on QA as loopback
links.
Obviously I'm NOT going to rely upon this especially since Oracle doesn't
support it. But I would like to understand it.

I'm trying to create a database link to the same database.
It doesn't seem to be working ...
basically, the target system will have 2 separate database instances.
I need to emulate this in a single instance database (actually, I don't want to try running 2 oracle instances on my laptop...).
so I want to do select * from fred@MYOTHERDB
when I try and create the alias it succeeds, but then selects don't work.
Lets say my current logon / schema is JOHN (in ORCL) and the other SCHEMA (in ORCL) is JIM
I tried
create public database link MYOTHERDB connect to JIM identified by "Password";
creation worked, couldn't access it.

Now I've tried this both from TOAD and from iSQL on the machine with the database.
It's INVMANLAP which I'm using from the TOAD machine, of course!
I appreciate your help. It has been the only bright spark in a DREADFUL day (among other things the IDC-SERVER mentioned above has a trashed system disk which has taken out email and my main oracle server). And I have to install this system tomorrow!

I am facing a problem in DB Link creation.
Backend: Oracle 8i Server on my machine
DW Software: Oracle warehouse builder 3i ( client , repository asistant.....)
Operating system: Windows NT 4 SERVICE PACK 6
I wants to use the scott database( default database given by oracle ) as my input source.
How can I create the DB LINK ( for scott database) ?
How can I create the DB LINK ( for any other database) ?
Should I need to add anything in Setting of"ODBC DATASOURCE ADMINISTRATION"

How should I proceed further.

I solved the problem.
Procedure I followed :
UNINSTALL ORACLE WRAEHOUSE BUILDER SOFTAWARE.
'GLOBAL_NAMES = FALSE' in init.ora file.
RESTARTED MY MACHINE.
INSTALL THE ORACLE WRAEHOUSE BUILDER SOFTAWARE.

I have two databases PCDB and IASDB on same server KSPCB.ORG, I want to access the IASDB database from PCDB database.what is the entry that i should make into the tnsnames.ora file before creating the db link.

the following script will create a dblink in first database whose name is local and it will be able to connect a database seconddb. you should be able to connect to second db on the first place. Donot forget to set initialization parameter global_names=false before using the dblink.
create database link LOCAL.WORLD
connect to SCOTT
using 'secondDB';
you will extract data from second db like this.
select * from scott.emp@secondDB;

After you purchase it once, you redownload it on other devices by the following, not like purchasing a new app.

If you really got charged twice for purchases the same app twice with the same account contact iTunes again by:
Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
Make sure that they are really the same app first.

In Lion, the default of pressing a link on a web page, is to open the page in a new tab. In itself, I do like this because this is what I did for 19 out of any 20 links, which I command+clicked in previous Safari versions.
However, there is a snag to this behaviour. Most (all?) secure site do not like links to be opened in a new tab. For example, when I am doing Web banking, The the linked page doesn’t open in new tab. Rather I get a page telling me my login session is expired. Probably a security measure instituted by my bank.
I since found out, that a command-click opens lings in the same window. Theoretically that solves the problem, if I would think about this all the time. I don't. Old habits die slowly.

I got it figured out today, basically you have to load the Parallel Flash Loader first into FPGA ram. It is a special .sof file (pfl_epXXXX.sof) based on your FPGA. Code is actually pretty straight forward, using the Sys Exec VI. Use the windows based programmer to generate the .cdf file that identifies your FPGA, attached Flash and .pof file .
Syntax was odd going into Sys Exec. Note the extra "C" in in front of the "quartus_prm.exe" I have no idea why that was needed, but I was getting an error until I just happened to put it in there (Blind Luck :-))
I used a 2 element array going into a four loop
cmd /cquartus_pgm.exe -c USB-BLASTER -m JTAG -o P;pfl_epXXXX.sof
cmd /cquartus_pgm.exe -c USB-BLASTER -m JTAG S_FPGA.cdf
Defining the working director C:\altera\12.1sp1\qprogrammer\bin
And added match string with "Successfully performed operation" on the output in the loop to make sure everything loaded correctly then adding the array to give me a overall P/F
To anyone doing this same thing Altera's documentation is poor to say the least. It took most of a week to figure this out Not allowed to upload code, so anyone wanting details just post here and I will try to help. This was painful, with lots of lessons learned.

A much simpler solution would be to go into Settings > Store and turn off Automatic Downloads

Is there any way to have separate iMessage services for two iPhones linked to the same Apple ID? I share Apple ID with my wife for convenience of buying apps only once and sharing photo and music from one Mac. However, the my iMessages to other people seem to appear on my wife's iPhone. The phone number is used as a Caller ID.

Use separate Apple IDs for iMessage (Settings>Messages>Receive At>tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, sign in with a different ID). You can still keep the same ID for iCloud (if you want to share contacts, calendars, photostream, etc.) and for store purchases (in Settings>Store).

The procedure is Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>Add another email address. The email address has to be a valid working email address, obviously. Apple should verify the email address and you have to go to the inbox of that email account, read the verification email from Apple and follow the inductions in the email in order to complete the verification. Then you go back to the settings, uncheck your email address and check the new email address to be used as the contact email address.

does anyone know if it is possible to create multiple links to the same file using iWeb without the program automatically making multiple copies of that file in the published output? It seems that one file is created for each link.

My partner and I use the same itunes account. We have both just upgraded to iPhone 5 and have had the odd problem using the same Apple ID. Can anyone tell me if I can or how to get 2 Apple ID's linked to the same itunes account. If we have two have 2 itunes accounts my partner won't have access to all my music etc.
Can anyone give me the best course of action?
